  2. 6 Shocking Reversals From Episodes 7-8 Of “The Devil Judge” Jul 31, 2021 by shalini We’re already halfway through “The Devil Judge”! This week, it’s an all-out war between the elite and Yo Han (Ji Sung) as each side seeks to outmaneuver the other. Ga On (Jinyoung) continues to waffle back and forth on whose side he’s on, but the time for decision-making has finally arrived, and both sides still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Here are the most shocking reversals from this week’s episodes! Warning: spoilers for episodes 7-8 below. 1. Sun Ah’s advice to women 2. Chairman Seo’s death 3. The man in the jail cell 4. Jin Joo going over to the dark side 5. Yo Han being transparent 6. Ga On choosing Yo Han earthmix-myonethousandstar The moment of truth is here at last. Surprisingly, it’s Min Jung Ho who brings things to a head, demanding that Ga On join with him and tear down the live court. With everything Ga On has seen and heard thus far, it’s impossible for him to agree. Instead of suggesting that they fight corruption, or tear down the elite, Min Jung Ho argues that it’s the court that needs to be dismantled, completely missing the root of the problem. Ga On points (parroting Yo Han) that it’s not that the court is instigating all the madness overtaking Korea, but that the court (or Yo Han, really) reacted to a widespread problem that everyone knew existed and never did anything about. And judges like Min Jung Ho are responsible for that problem, for not doing their jobs and focusing more on pure ideals rather than on protecting people with the law. The real instigators are out there, and they want Yo Han’s court taken down. Playing into their hands would be a real slap in the face to the memory of Ga On’s parents. At last, Ga On sheds his righteous mantle and walks into the dark. Because the light was so blindingly bright, he never saw what it was hiding. So, he finally takes Yo Han’s hand and prepares to fight a corrupt world. drrav3nb YES! Ga On’s finally seen the light! Next week’s preview shows things getting much darker, with Ga On fully immersing himself in vengeance and the fight for justice. Sun Ah ups her game by introducing a wrench in the live court in the form of Jin Joo. Cha Kyung Hee seethes as the elites close ranks and leave her out to dry. Soo Hyun’s gotten herself into a sticky situation, and put Elijah in danger by possibly being the worst cop in history (who leaves a minor in a wheelchair two feet away from a gunfight. She should have at least called for back-up and stayed with Elijah instead of leaving her unguarded!) Every time it appears the stakes cannot get any higher, they go through the roof. But Yo Han and Ga On are fighting this dreadfully unjust game together now. So let the games begin! earthmix-myonethousandstar

  3. "Sweet Home" - One drop. One not on priority list I watched Sweet home until the end. How do you do it @Tofu I was obssesed with it and can't wait for Season 2 if there will be one. But no has mentioned a Season 2 yet.

  4. What does this mean?? So Yo Han orchestrated this entire scenario?

  6. OST 3 LOLs this one I am Ok with. I think this was because he was fighting the con man & the hair got messed up.

  7. I am a little bit disturbed by the fringe falling on his eyes. I cannot stand hair on your eyes! Yes agreed. She merely uses this girl and the girl is somewhat afraid of her.

  8. Feels like it is a scene which shows us (or let her realise?) that even though she got everything she wants now, she still isn't happy and has no friends or family. That new still of Ga On looks so hot
    4 points
  9. She looks lonely - no friends to celebrate with. She called her "assistant" - but in reality, she only treats this person as a paid employee - reference back to an earlier scene where she expressed her displeasure on not getting to the witness of the first case earlier than Yo Han.

  13. Saw a cut of the beginning. Yo Han & Ga On got there in time to rescue Elijah. Ji Sung was badass handsome there. "YOU DARE TOUCH MY NIECE?" And I didn't recognise incorrectly, that crazy guy beating up others was Yo Han's Stan.

  14. E8 Preview LOLLLL, no more fringe Jae Eon next episode! this is hilarious... I'm horrified that Do Hyuk is now actively wooing Nabi. Aaaaarrrrghhhhh. Noooooooo, Chae Jong Hyeop, go back to The Witch's Diner. You have a movie date with Jin!!! They were getting it on without you there!! More spicy scene for TraNz.

  16. I wasn't sure what they were trying to achieve either but I'll reserve my judgement about the relative merits of the operation until I see what follows. My guess is that they're trying to work out who the latest personality is.: The cold, deadly one that's not the more angry aggressive Circus Man. It seems that Dong Bang Min's real personality is not the nice sweet ignorant one. How much of that is taking liberties with dissociative identity disorder, I don't know. I am worried about Dae-shik -- I wanted him to have his redemption arc and live to talk about it. But as he said, if he survived being bashed by a kettlebell repeatedly, he may survive this one. Poor guy. I hope he makes it. Otherwise it's unnecessary tragedy. Grandpa... as it turns out is, in every sense of the word, the scum of the earth. A really horrible human being. He exploited vulnerable people to help him amass his wealth so that he could buy up individuals holding the levers of power on the island. All my fears of what he was doing with the young women of Sonang was confirmed by two different sources. The worse of everything we can imagine that cults do to people... by golly, this poor excuse of a human being has done it. In the name of compassion and family building, he committed all kinds of heinous acts.

  17. We don't know yet he's dying or not. But with that amount of stabbing, I think he hardly can survive, unless have miracle happen. (Or drama being not realistic , but I will accept it and hope he alive 😭). Chad also fainted and don't know if he's okay or no. The whole ambushed is really going wrong. Imo they didn't plan it properly. I know their intention is trying to prove that the original DBM's character also is a cruel & sadictic. But they didn't hatched a proper plan for it. That grandfather is a rapist and DBM is his own kid actually. Not sure if he's interested in Derek's mom too. Cos she seems to be tangled in that cult too. KJ and DBM history seems related with F hospital in Vimo (where DBM get some psychiatric assesment there). But the hospital is already closed now. KJ got assesment for her enhanced hearing there. I guess that's how they met.

  19. I aimed for the front now except when Phantom of the Opera was on I wasn't on the front and someone big blocked my view. With Phantom you've to pick good spot too because Phantom appears from the top somewhere in one scene. For The Lion King and Aladdin, you can sit in the front :) For ballet I think I will not sit in the front too near the stage anymore. I did that and I kept hearing the sound "tock tock tock" whenever the ballerina move around or landed back on the ground. I'm more musical than ballet. Haven't tried theatre yet. I'm procrastinating about The Curse Child and Moulin Rouge is on right now which both I feel very unmotivated because of COVID. For ballet I went to watch The Nutcracker and miss The Swan Lake (couldn't get a car park and decided to give up). I think my memory of the ballet looks nicer and more enjoyable on TV too, LOL. Plus for ballet, I honestly don't know what they were dancing about. Hahaha, I will not eat less. I can afford both front seats and fine dining. Both don't happen all the time so it's ok.

  20. Ah thanks for the tip. I'm not a big fan of theatre/musical, but I try to watch the highly acclaimed/popular ones when in the city. Just like sports. I've sat right at the back and right in front, and also realised to enjoy theatre/musical, the front is the best. So @mademoiselle eat a few less fine dining and sit in front hahahah!

  21. Carrot - Vitamin A - eyesight. Vitamin O - Oppa - motivation. @Chocolate Ah. I was wondering if you meant him. His would be theatre. Jo Seung Wo is musical theatre, I believe. I'm more interested in musical more than theatre. That said, I think it is actually much nicer to watch it on TV purely because we sit so far we can't actually see the facial expression. I realised that when I watch Love Never Dies (AU production) on DVD. The Lion King though, the stage and costume design was really good.

  22. I think ep 13 is a bit confusing 😅 They hatched a plan trying to release DBM. In the end they really lost him and Chad & DS even in danger. Their backup only 1 police car. I think this a bit botched job and unnecessary. They should make better plan, and this dealing with the cunning DBM.

  25. Each episode is roughly 20 minutes long. The first two episodes were not bad. As the director mentioned, the first episode was focused on Doo Shim's past. My understanding is that Doo Shim and her grandma are able to see spirits but her mom is not able to?

  26. BTS LOLLL I had been updating the BTS links on page 1 but have since given up now because I cannot keep track anymore. There's more BTS for this than She Would Never Know. I wish @TRaNz you would check out She Would Never Know but then I realise there's maybe no ladies (or spicy scenes) that could lure / attract you even though it's a so much more decent romance drama than Nevertheless.

  27. Yep it's out! I watched on KissAsia Oooh thank you! That makes much more sense. Haha, look at me poking fun at Tik Tok generation when I also mentally skip information while watching dramas On the other hand does that mean I'm like one of the youths of today?

  29. @abs-oluteM I don't know why but every time I see Nevertheless each week, it makes me wanna go back and watch some Sunbae/Rowoon. I'm concluding the reason is because I prefer a man like Chae Hyun Seung, not Jae Eon/Do Hyuk who invest their time in the wrong girl. 💢

  30. Hahaha, my main thought while watching Episode 4 was: Has this girl never seen The Little Mermaid before?!? She totally got sea witched = trades amazing singing voice for a man! Ugh, no...you should never trade your talents for a jerk who didn't notice/ appreciate you! On an even bigger scale....NOOOOOOOOO.....Jin can't fall for that Nevertheless guy when Gil Yong/ Chae Jong Hyeop just scored a date! Thank god @mademoiselle tagged me and @Tofu for the behind the scenes crumbs Episode 4 - I'm glad that GY's friend is back from the hospital and no longer scared of the bullies...and Damn, Gil Yong looked so cool standing up for his friend However, it makes me wonder how they're going to stand up to the bullies...not through the witch's food right? - Ah, I was simultaneously sympathetic and mehhh about this week's restaurant visitor. As mentioned before, she fell into the exact same trap as The Little Mermaid. Haha, I personally would have started running as soon as Heera said she wanted a voice payment because we all know from the fairytale that she's not going to be 'loved' once she gives her voice away. - What I liked about this week's episode is that it shows that we always think we'll be happy if we get want we want, especially when something bad happens and we always have a sense of nostalgia for things being better the way they were. But actually sometimes one doors closes so that another one opens. If actress had accepted that her boyfriend had cheated on / dumped her, she could have found someone even better. But because she forces fate to align with her wishes, she no longer has that sense of nostalgia and the truth is that her everyday relationship was already full of cracks but she romanticised it when she was told it was over. Letting go is key. - Speaking of the 'someone better' she could have ended up with, damn, she missed out! ...A doctor who loved musicals and came to watch her every show?! I thought it was silly that she didn't question who the flowers were from when she got them. But I guess people tend to fixate when they break up - Noooo!!! I'm stressed for Gil Yong and Jin. I mean, I was so happy that Jin just volunteered herself for a date with him (notice Gil Yong was all adorable smiles when he didn't have to do much for her to agree to see a movie )...That scene where they walked home together made me smile for a week...but now there's danger because of damn Tom Kim - Why did she have to eat the leftovers?! But I guess Jin wasn't thinking of anyone as she ate since it's not about her ex coming back into the picture. The girl was just hungry - But wait, did Heera's words mean that Heera herself ate magic food (ie. succumbed to magic) and that meant she 'chose' to be a witch? I can't wait to see Heera's backstory. - Jin's mum definitely struck a deal with the witch. Maybe Jin got lost and the deal was: Find my daughter and you can have her when she hits a certain age? - Hahaha he was also the abusive boyfriend in Age of Youth ....haha maybe the actress wouldn't have been happy with him either Maybe the torture is she thinks she would have been happier with him (although JIJ was the fairly likeable funny best friend in Weightlifting Fairy) I think it shows that the wishes are not instant gratification. It takes time for things to come into effect, and could take months and years. Though the payment was taken relatively quickly I would have thought he would get prize money or something, but maybe that was spent on his hospital bills *me overthinking drama logic* That's why I wish there were more episodes to flesh out the storylines - I'm thinking maybe that is the lady he saved? Maybe she has a rich family or something. I think maybe there'll be a few episodes where SJH will have more airtime, but I feel like Jin is the main character. But I'm not too surprised since I feel like it was sold to me that way (ie. from the posters and promo stuff). Totally agree the episodes are short...I need more! Yep totally felt the same way about the actress' wish! Having seen friends (both guys and girls) go through bad long-term break-ups, I guess you should never make rash decisions straight after a break up. People get so irrational at that point. And You're totally right - no one should pin their self-worth on a relationship or someone elses' love or their opinions of you. I guess the problem is people tend to do it if it's a long-term relationship and they were not privy to the decision to end it. Still I'd hope to love myself enough to never torture myself in that way

  37. The episodes are so so so short! At a promo with Nam Da Reum, Rae Won mentioned her mum is a shaman but not a powerful one. Episode 1-2 For me, this is just an entree. So unsatisfying and not enough. These 2 episodes are just introduction but the gist is that the big bad ghost got away when Doo Shim's grandmother trapped it in a bag. So in the finale Doo Shim and Woo Soo will be facing off with this evil ghost/spirit. I figure this evil spirit must be someone who is always last in school died holding a grudge therefore always and only take the lives of those who came in last. One thing I do NOT like is that girl who already picks on Doo Shim. What's her deal. Why must school always have a character like that?

  38. Episode 4 So in the end Ahn Eun Jin didn't get her happiness at all? She sacrifices her voice for this. The cameo is no joke, even Ji Il Joo made an appearance which is a hint that she could have had been happy with him. Although lol, in Find Me in Your Memory, Ji Il Joo was the obsessive PD stalking Moon Ga Young. And what was that epilogue?! I'd think he found his job after that but he had to sleep on the street and only now the lady found him which I'm guessing she'll be his ticket to find a stable job. What happened to Jin after she eats the leftover food? Who is that guy she met at the mall anyway (don't tell me he's Nabi's ex-BF please, lol). There's not a lot of Song Ji Hyo, isn't it? So this show Nam Ji Hyun is the female lead and Ji Hyo is second FL? It feels like each episode is so short that there is not enough time for proper story-telling of the important characters.

  39. Opps, wrong name. Kim Seon Ho. The start-up guy. I think the ahjussi probably has a very boring sex life. Not someone to emulate. I have watched My Love from a Star, because everywhere you google for "best kdrama", they recommend it. The first few episodes were cute. I "tahan" until episode 10, then fast forwarded till the end. I've come to the conclusion that most kdramas that focus predominantly on romance doesn't appeal to me. You've got a good height @abs-oluteM. Your height with hubby just nice for kissing lol! I wish I was taller - am 1.6 :) I think Hyun Bin's height 1.85m is probably true. SYJ is 1.65m - a whole head shorter without the heels. Haha, Ji Sung is 40+ but still looks very good. It would be interesting to see if all these 20+ year old actors now can grow to still be as impressive in 20 years.

  40. I started watching the first ep of this drama a while ago and found it quite hard to grasp what they were telling. The scenes looked jumbled and the convos didn't help either. I felt like being in a foreign country where the language I didn't understand a bit so I decided to stop watching. However I ended up watching this again after dropping Voice 4. Now I'm fully hooked. I like how this drama is somehow weird.

  43. Nam Da Reum Shocks Kim Sae Ron With A Sudden Embrace In New Drama “The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim” KakaoTV’s upcoming original drama “The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim” released new stills of Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum! “The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim” stars Kim Sae Ron in the titular role as Ga Doo Shim, an 18-year-old who wants to be an ordinary teenager but was born under the fate of becoming a great shaman. Nam Da Reum co-stars as Na Woo Soo, the school’s “golden boy” who begins to see ghosts after meeting Ga Doo Shim. In the new stills, Ga Doo Shim charges for the exit with one strap of her backpack on her shoulder. There is a band-aid on her cheek, and her expression is shadowed with pain. In the photo that follows, Na Woo Soo goes after Ga Doo Shim and embraces her as she’s about to leave the classroom. Na Woo Soo isn’t the type to easily show his emotions, so curiosity is mounting over why he suddenly hugged her in front of his classmates. Ga Doo Shim is shocked by Na Woo Soo’s sudden gesture, and she stares at him in confusion. However, there is a subtle connection between them, and fans can look forward to how their relationship will progress after this moment. The production team shared, “The hug scene is a decisive one where the exorcism duo will become close. Even the staff members expressed excitement at the film set because of Ga Doo Shim and Na Woo Soo’s extraordinary chemistry. Please tune into the episode that will be released on July 30 to see why Na Woo Soo suddenly hugged Ga Doo Shim.” Then they added that fans can look forward to the thrilling story of the fantasy mystery genre as well as Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum’s refreshing chemistry that will make them smile. “The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim” will have 12 episodes total, each 20 minutes long. The first will premiere on July 30 at 8 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki. source
