  1. @Zoaze, I started watching Bravo My Life daily this year. You’re encouraging me to continue. Just didn’t like ML’s uncle’s son obsession with second female lead and his mother’s treatment of ML. I also hope that we do get scenes of KJ, MR and YY as a family. I most definitely hope they ditch the nonsense of living in the same house with ES. @abs-oluteM, I hope KJ stick to his dream. It never made sense to me that they would live with ES anyway.
  2. I understand the whole “respect the elders” principle but this is simply ridiculous. The MIL has already used up all the grace and respect that was due to her. First, she didn’t want YY with her precious son and she wanted her to abort MR. Then she still blames YY for her son’s death even though she already learned the truth of what happened. All I can hope for is that YY and MR don’t live with her. It’s very unhealthy to have someone like her around on a daily basis who is not only supported and enabled in her meanness but she’s also a person that has not changed one bit through at least five years already.
  3. I wondered if that would be a twist too after reading she was told about it but like @abs-oluteM, I want the donor to be KJ. It would be more meaningful that way. It would shut up the awful-to-the-end ES as well or so I hope because it’s long past due for her to hush that miserable mouth of hers.
  4. Thanks for this. If KJ and YY will breakup for a time, I hope MR isn’t too much affected since she seems to already have expectations of KJ. I don’t want her to get hurt. Regarding SJ, this might be the chance for him to release his burden. It will be hard to face everything instead of running away but ultimately, he would be able to move pass it by properly facing the issue. Time and healing will take care of the rest.
  5. @ktcjdrama, you always commented on HM’s pathetic behavior and her failure to value herself like her grandmother pointed out. I guess her attempted suicide will be the rock bottom. This lady has really lost it. I don’t understand why she’s so obsessed with winning KJ because I really don’t think it’s love at this point. I’m glad YY family is already acquainted with KJ because at least they would know that KJ never led HM on.
  6. Which previous drama is that? Bravo My Life? If it’s that one, I was very pleased that the second leads did not end up together in the end. It felt so much more realistic that way after all the drama they had. I couldn’t even believe it when they both moved on. @abs-oluteM, I also hope that SJ doesn’t end up with HM. We already lost EJ to a useless man and I can foresee her working hard for the rest of her life to support at least two “children”, that is, the one in her belly and the one who got her pregnant. I don’t want to see SJ end up with a woman like his mother. I think he can do better.
  7. I’m here wondering if SJ will be the one to save YY from any evil plot of his terrible mother and alleged father. He’s probably the only one aware of the situation and would sense the danger if he discovers WS is hovering around YY and her family. I love how the Chairman found out that it was HM who harmed his company. It reveals to him what kind of person she is to do such a malicious thing and out of personal reasons, no less, just to put YY in trouble. What kind of company manager does that kind of thing? That is always a ground for termination.
  8. I honestly wish YY would leave with her child. This woman is ridiculous. Apparently only she alone feels the pain of the death of her son. I remember she wanted YY and DJ to abort MR. She also blames YY for calling her husband about her pregnancy pains. The terrible thing about it is that everyone in that house enables her victim mentality. I know the grandmother tried to talk to her but they still try to accommodate her feelings in the end. YY should tell her that she’ll leave if she gives back the hard earned money that her precious son lost. I don’t know how YY hasn’t felt like an outsider in that house all this time since her husband died. It might be because she tries to repay them by doing everything they ask after working all night at the convenience store and sleeping little when she gets home. She tries to earn a place there by being good to them. Her breakdown over the lost money revealed just how hard and sacrificial she’s been living.
  9. I like them the most too. I enjoy their story and scenes. The stationery part is so cute and MY seems like a quiet man so it was amusing seeing SY slowly build an acquaintance with him first at the Pilates studio then over stationery. With the main couple, as if they didn’t have enough issues, I cannot stand the plot of a secret son. It just added more issues upon issues.
  10. Let’s see how high her horse will be when everyone finds out about her complicity in YY’s former husband’s incident. HH’s voice and diction have always grate on my nerves before I even get to the evil content of her speech. She’s always plotting against KJ and now she has an irrational hatred for YY. Every time I hear KJ address her as mother to please his utterly stupid father, I cringe. I can’t wait for him to be freed from the shackle of calling her mother. I hope that her part in his blindness is also exposed some day soon. KJ said he’s been planning for five years so I hope he gets a good outcome.
  11. @abs-oluteM, I second it hard that I don’t want SJ to be hooked up with HM. That would just be a carbon copy of his mother. I sometimes hope that the girl from his past would reappear or he finds someone else completely opposite of his mother. I just can’t see HM changing her personality and her personality is a problem. Am I the only one hoping to see HH on her knees before YY some day? The way she has treated YY so far, even going as far as ordering security to manhandle her, I can’t help but wish to see her on her knees begging for forgiveness before YY after all is revealed about her part in covering up the accident. As to YY’s MIL, while this woman is a bit better than HM and HH, the way she treats YY is like her servant. I can’t wait for YY to get away from her. Her son, DS, gets on my nerves. It’s a pity that EJ seems destined to end up with him. I foresee her taking care of him for the rest of her life.
  12. I hope so too. I really hope SJ doesn’t end up with her. She got much worse after I posted that High Heels is the one that grates on my nerves. Now HM is right up there. The way she conducts herself as a supervisor is totally unprofessional. She has basically threatened YY in her capacity as a manager all because of her personal and territorial feelings towards KJ. She’s also not suited for someone like SJ who doesn’t need another High Heels in his life. I hope there’s someone else for SJ.
  13. The actor is the male lead in daily show Brilliant Heritage. There are 120 episodes of him. It’s a similar feel drama to this drama in that it’s not over-the-top and is more family-oriented. The actress who plays HM’s mother is also in that daily. High Heels is the character that irks me the most in this drama. HM is spoilt and entitled but I don’t mind her as much since KJ remains adamant in his refusal.
  14. I’m watching it for the first time. I’m currently on episode 28. The only thing I wished for is that they wouldn’t keep breaking up the main couple. Anyway, I do love both of the couples: the sisters and their generals. I also keep wondering when is Fu Rong going to remember that her dead master warned her against keeping company with Duke An. I didn’t like the guy from the first time I saw him but is Fu Rong really going to be deceived by him to the end? I hope not.
  15. Love your review. The bolded part is one of the reasons why I couldn’t believe the girl liked the boy. She was practically frozen up when he kissed her. I don’t know why this actress take drama with kissing if she’s going to react that way. Better yet, maybe the show could have done without kissing if she was going to kill the make-believe. And usually Chinese actors do better at kissing than the stilted pressed lips in Kdrama shows. Quite a few Chinese actors have mastered the art of kissing without actually kissing for real. Yang Yang was real nice eye candy in that show though. Currently I can’t bring myself to rewatch this mainly because of the lead girl. I liked the story though. They should do a remake in the future with different actors or maybe even in Korea. About the movie, I preferred the acting in there. The male lead is not as handsome as YY but he’s passable and his acting or character was not as standoffish as YY’s version. Angela baby was much better as Wei Wei to me.
  16. Thanks so much for the insight. It helps me a lot to understand. I figured that the story Xie Yun told A’Fei and Chuchu was about himself too. He doesn’t seem like he wants to walk the path of an emperor though. Another thing is it seems like he gets along with the third prince and doesn’t have much desire to get involved in a succession war between the two princes. I would prefer that he lives a life outside the palace but then what is the goal of A’Fei’s father if that army is dedicated to restoring Xie Yun to the throne. I hope Xie Yun doesn’t die young but I suppose I can accept it if he does. There’s that one scene in the opening theme where A’Fei is dressed in a red dress sitting in the snow and she looks forlorn and Xie Yun is close by looking like he’s unconscious or lifeless.
  17. I thought that He Ra blames Ga On’s birth mother because she recommended her for the position and then she was raped or sexually assaulted in a private room by the future husband during a business party. I get the impression that He Ra probably married the awful husband because of that situation. Before she was sexually assaulted, I recall a scene where a male worker at the news station was telling another female worker that Ga On’s birth mother didn’t do any favor by recommending He Ra. He said He Ra might think so but she’ll soon find out. So, it seems like people at the news station knew this stuff was going on. I think that’s why He Ra blamed he sister because she knew what type of world she recommended He Ra to but He Ra didn’t know. About Cha’s sister and the CEO, I guess I hoped that she would be one of those women who would die with their dignity. Heh.
  18. @Tofu, thank you for bringing up Xie Yun’s former home. I always wanted clarification on that. I understand he’s the emperor of the former dynasty. I guess he’s the surviving heir from the palace where I presume his parents were killed. The eunuch who saved him took him to the war general to protect him. Later he was sent to another country as a hostage. I don’t understand his story fully. Did he come from a different country from A’Fei? Or is he really from the same country that is now under a different emperor, that is, his god-brother’s father? Why was he sent as a hostage to another country? If he survived the battle as a child (the scene where he regained consciousness on the battlefield) was that in a different country and then he went back to see General Wang?
  19. @UnniSara, keep trodding on. The male lead probably suffers to the end. I can’t remember all the timing but it was a ridiculous amount of suffering throughout the series. I love the guy so I can’t sit through that again. That Nutcase from the Heavenly Realm also irritates me to no end so that’s also a sore point for me in the series. He’s given so much deference from the female lead and her father while I wondered how do they not question his statements and actions at all. It was clear to me he’s a psycho from almost the beginning. The way he tries to control the female lead and then when he couldn’t do it on his own he uses the master or the father. I just feel that nobody was worthy of the male lead. He was too good for them all.
  20. @stroppyse, I also want Ga On to stay with He Ra. His father and his half sister are not exactly good role models. They have their feud for many years now and no matter whose in the wrong or right, it’s better that Ga On isn’t used in their destruction of each other. I think this time around He Ra will be able to provide him with a safe home if his birth mother doesn’t show up. I haven’t watched episodes 11 and 12 yet but hopefully there is more development on Cha’s missing sister or Ga On’s birth mother. I would really like to know her story. Too many missing gaps right now but it sure looked like she willingly walked into that old man CEO’s hotel room.
  21. I find Ninth Madam and the Feather Troupe madam so lovely. The two actresses are beautiful to me. The actress for A’Fei’s mom is beautiful to me as well. @Tofu, I really didn’t think we would see Ying Pei again in this way. Then again, he was adamant in his lousy behavior so it’s shouldn’t be surprising. I wonder if he will continue down this path. About A’Fei’s sword style, I notice in Viki’s sub for episode 20 they called it North Blade instead of South Blade. That’s an error right? I thought the guy who died in the cave was the one who practiced the North Blade.
  22. @stroppyse, I’m actually only watching a few drama shows. The shows I have been watching consistently are Run On, Goddess of Revenge and Legend of Fei. Occasionally I watch an episode of Awaken. I’m mostly waiting for the new drama shows and Hospital Playlist, Season 2 and anything else that might pique my interest.
  23. @NiteWalker, that explains it. The episodes are also short so they don’t take up too much time on a daily basis. @Nohamahmoud2002, Man In A Veil is worse? Yikes. Well, at least their lead guy won an award for his role. The actor who plays Hae Shim’s husband in this show also won an award for his role in this show. I think he’s the only actor who won something from this show.
  24. @Nohamahmoud2002, you’re still watching this show? My hats off to you. @stroppyse, the cross dresser stuff annoyed me too. I figured it will continue for most of the drama since that’s how the character appears in the official posters for the show. It’s just too unbelievable for me. I mostly dropped the show because so many of the characters were not likable for me. It’s hard to root for anybody. Byeori is rightfully the only one that I appreciated probably because she’s a good kid. Dae Ro wasn’t bad either but well, not interesting enough to keep me watching. Hae Shim was nice too. @NiteWalker, nice that you’re watching a daily show. I preferred Brilliant Heritage even though I did complain towards the end. This daily show, however, made me appreciate Brilliant Heritage. lol
  25. Oh my! I love your post. You probably describe exactly why I love Ancient Detective. I didn’t know the male lead but I also think he was a good fit for the role. I also liked the way he unraveled the cases. The ending five minutes was interesting and even though it opens a surprising mystery, I was still satisfied with the ending.
