  1. Webtoon spoilers Chapter 19-20 Chapter 21 Edit:
  2. Nevertheless Filming Location Hongik Campus While there's an existing HongSeo-de in Seoul, majority of the campus scenes are filmed both in Andong and Ulsan Universities, because of their famous cherry blossom paths. The forsythia stairs scene is filmed in Andong.
  3. @mademoisellei skipped chapters 20-30, so we will get the answers from there. I will continue to read the remaining chapters and will update here. However right from the beginning, Jaeon simply just 'like butterflies', without any backstory to tell but only describing their nature. That's all. I hope the drama will find a way to humanize Jaeon. But like i have seen the webtoon he's a total jerk. And based on the recaps of everyone here , his being touchy to ladies is just what was described in the webtoon . There were no details on this one, i guess the drama will expound Jaeon's description.
  4. @abs-oluteMi took a peek because i have work tomorrow i cant watch this yet 😩 But man first five minutes and I am impressed ! this one in particular— I might intend to compare notes if this drama will be better than the webtoon. Please, please be good !
  5. @mademoiselle The tease on the article, i thought i was reading an excerpt from Mills and Boon
  6. Another article Han So-hee said, "Like the title of the drama, it is a work that deals with the emotions of 'knowing but unavoidable' realistically and in more detail. I hope you will pay attention to whether the two people's meeting will be fate, or whether it will be love." He also said, “I was nervous because I received a lot of attention and love before the broadcast, but I worked hard on filming, so please watch it. I hope that it will be a work that will remain in the heart of the viewers as well. Please support Yoo Nabi.” Park Jae-eon', is a flower that no one can have. He said, "You will definitely get a different feeling from the existing fresh and tickling youth romance. I always feel new while filming. I think viewers will be more attracted to this point,” he added, adding to the anticipation. He continued, “Jae-eon is a person with a strong personality. I thought deeply about how to best express his thoughts and feelings. You will find a completely different look from the ones I have shown in previous works. Please look forward to it.” @Tofu prepare yourself!
  7. Song Kang And Han So Hee Talk About Similarities To Their Characters In “Nevertheless” + Reasons For Starring In The Drama by C. Hong On June 18, JTBC’s upcoming Saturday drama “Nevertheless” held an online press conference with director Kim Ga Ram and lead actors Song Kang and Han So Hee. Based on a hit webtoon, “Nevertheless” is about the realistic romance between a woman named Yoo Na Bi (Han So Hee), who doesn’t believe in love but still wants to date, and a man named Park Jae Uhn (Song Kang), who finds dating a bother but likes to have flings. Director Kim Ga Ram said, “Han So Hee and Yoo Na Bi are one and the same. There were times when I’d even get confused between the two. I’m grateful to her [for getting so immersed in the role]. Song Kang and Park Jae Uhn are people with different textures. People ask, ‘How can the boyish and pure-hearted Song Kang match with the flirtatious Park Jae Uhn?’, but both have their charms. I think you can say that a spoonful of Song Kang has been added to the original webtoon character of Park Jae Uhn.” Han So Hee said, “I was a big fan of the original webtoon, and like the director said, I could relate to Yoo Na Bi’s feelings of falling in love. I wanted to try a romance that was different from what I’d done before, something that was more fitting for my current age.” Although Han So Hee has filmed other projects since then, “Nevertheless” will be the first to come out after her breakout hit drama “The World of the Married.” She said, “A lot of people think that I chose ‘Nevertheless’ to change my image after ‘The World of the Married,’ but the truth is that I am quite similar to Yoo Na Bi in real life. Rather than a ‘change,’ it feels like I’m wearing clothes that suit me.” About working with Song Kang, she shared, “He was one of the fan casting choices even before the drama was announced, right? I think that he looks very similar to the character. I think that helped me bring Na Bi more to life as well. Song Kang is a bright person in real life too. He has a different appeal from Park Jae Uhn. His innocent and refreshing vibe combined with Park Jae Uhn makes the character more appealing.” Song Kang said, “When I first saw the script, I thought it was a campus drama, but it’s more like a romance drama with a different twist. I like how it shows the pins-and-needles feeling of sweetness and excitement of romance at that age.” About Han So Hee, he said, “I think that she resembles Yoo Na Bi on the outside. Her expressions and everything were so similar that I was surprised. Han So Hee is someone who has an easygoing and refreshing personality. She’s very good at what she does. She’s also very flexible. No matter what I do, she goes along with it, so it’s comfortable to film with her.” Director Kim Ga Ram mentioned the fact that some episodes are being rated 19+. “A lot of people are thinking crude thoughts about the rating,” she said, “but the truth is that the characters are over 19 years old, so they sometimes act in ways that are over 19 years old. Since people under the age of 19 can’t see those things, that’s why the rating is like that.” Okay Song Kang, we are looking forward what is that twist you are referring to. (Also I watched No Strings Attached the other day, so I am so ready for this show )
  8. The reason why Joo Ji-hoon climbs the mountain while traversing the eight islands FOREVER CHASING TOMORROW Esquire Magazine Interview Please tell me about 〈Mt. Jirisan〉, which is filmed while riding on the mountains. There's something fun about this. I often ride mountains, but I don't think I'm overdoing it. After thinking deeply about why, I think it is because the times have changed. There was a time when office workers took overtime for granted. In those days, even if the lead actor was injured while filming a drama or movie, it was difficult to complete the work. Everyone wanted the lead actor to do that, and the lead actor also jumped in with passion. Doing so has been described as a virtue. Right. However, while filming <Mt. Jirisan>, I thought that the situation and times had changed a lot. What we were trying to fill with passion alone, we have been able to reduce risk factors and increase the quality with the advancement of technology and systems. To shoot a scene from three viewpoints with one camera, an actor has to perform the same performance three times. But if you shoot with three cameras, you can only do it once. That's the logic. Q:I think that's a very important thing. As technology advances, production time is reduced, but it also reduces the risk of injury to actors and staff. Yes. It takes less time and less risk if you shoot an action scene that would have been shot with one camera with three cameras. I am enjoying such an advantage this time. If there is a scene where there is a very steep mountain, actors would have to climb a really steep slope themselves in the past. We're doing it a little differently. What you can cover is taking pictures while covering it. So I climb the mountain, but it doesn't feel like I'm about to die. Yes. We had similar conversations in previous interviews. In a scene where a stuntman can be used, it is right to use a stuntman as much as possible. That's the way the lead actor is for the whole project. It's not because the action scenes are annoying or difficult. If a leading actor gets hurt while performing a stunt, it's a big deal. If you get a fracture, you won't be able to do filming for at least 8 weeks. About 1,000 people, including 150 to 200 staff members and their families, are inevitably affected, such as having to take a break from work for 8 weeks. Of course, you have to do the necessary scenes and the scenes where you can do it. Do I have to shoot an action scene while taking that risk? It would be possible if the sum of the actions was perfect, and the actors and crew were completely prepared and given enough time to shoot, but in reality, these are tasks that are always pressed for time. I was going to ask you something light-hearted about how you feel because you've been living for a while, but it has become more serious than that. I think it's because I've been thinking a lot about these things lately. Of course, you don't need passion even now. When I am involved in a film with a small budget, I take risks and do it too much. I'm thinking about trying to do better without getting hurt somehow. It's an important story, but after that, I didn't even talk about the content of <Mt. Jirisan> that I was curious about. Please talk quickly. Not much is known. There is not much I can reveal. (Laughs) It is a work that uses the genre characteristics of 'Thriller', which is its own identity, very well to cover the huge theme of 'coexistence'. But in the meantime, the color of emotion conveyed by this work is very warm. It seems impossible, but it is possible. It's all in. There's a big theme, dramatic fun, and emotional warmth. I think Kim Eun-hee would do a great job. That's right. I don't know if this is a correct analogy, but think of eating spicy chicken feet at a dinner party and pouring soju into your stomach. It may not be good for your body, but there is definitely a sense of pleasure that comes from sweating. But again, the purpose of the dinner is not for pleasure, but to promote camaraderie and friendship. He drinks soju from chicken feet, but the subject of the party is friendship, and there is a genre-stimulating pleasure called thriller, but the theme of the work is coexistence. It's pretty fitting. What mountain did you come from today? I arrived in Seoul at 12 o'clock last night. From Mt. Jirisan in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do. Why are sightings heard not only from Mt. Jirisan but also from Jeju Island? I am filming not only in Namwon, but all over the country. First of all, Mt. Jirisan itself is so large that it spans three provinces: Gyeongsangnam-do and Jeolla-do, so we are constantly wandering around the South. Also, since the sets are located in Daejeon, Yongin, and Paju, we travel all over the country. Filming in Jeju Island is somewhat related to the technology and capital story mentioned earlier. It is possible to take pictures in the nature of Mt. Jirisan, but it is a very deep mountain, so the distance from the place that can be reached by car to the filming location is too far. It is dangerous, difficult, and time-consuming for the staff to carry all kinds of equipment to film on that long road. However, in Jeju Island, there is a place where you can meet nature similar to Mt. Jirisan within 10-20 minutes of walking from the car. Even with a little more budget, we shot it with less risk, less effort, and faster in Jeju Island. I think it was possible to do <Jirisan> because there was a budget and the pre-production period was sufficient. This time, the director is Lee Eung-bok of 'Goblin' and 'Mr. Sunshine'. Is this the first time director Lee's aesthetic screen and Kim Eun-hee's story are attached? So I'm very curious to see what the results will be. Dramas don't have time to monitor like movies. Is this the first time Ji-hoon and Lee Eung-bok work together? First time. If it comes out as pretty as <Goblin>, it's good to look forward to it. (Laughs) He's a director who can make you look like a cartoon character if he wants to. It won’t come out like that. (Laughs) Since we are a mountain, it rains all the time, and we roll and do it. There seems to be no romance. Romance... Romance in our work is like 'Schrödinger's Cat'. If there is, there may be, and if not, there may not be. If you know it exists, it is not there, if you know it does not exist, it is there But definitely not at all. It can't be without it at all, but the level and the way it is expressed... Viewers who are accustomed to dark melodies may respond, 'Is this a melodrama?' It seems similar to <Signal>. Right. <Signal> is definitely not a romance, but you can feel something. I really did my best (laughs). I think I did everything I could say. Now watch it on TV. source (autotranslated;edited by bluepebbless)
  9. @abs-oluteMI agree on you when it comes to participation of women in politics, given that in this drama , Sookyung had been there at the backstage , involved in the behind the scenes from the moment she was bossamed by Bawoo. Lady Kim too, is more of an advisor to the King , which is quite unusual. Because Kings have eunuchs to begin with. But here, the court lady official takes the lead in ensuring the King's welfare as a priority--even if the King's daughter be damned, she doesn't care. This is quite bold for the writer to highlight female characters that are more influential in the flow of the story. Maybe the writer took inspiration from the Queen Inmok herself--which is quite an interesting character who was not a significant part of this kdrama. Considering that Queen Inmook's exile is at the same timeline of the events that took place in Bawoo's life. Queen Inmok (TBC, 1974) Choi Yu Ri as Princess Jeongmyeong, Yun Jeong Hee as Queen Inmok, and Cheon Dong Seok as Prince Youngchang The event of the books which circulated because of Lady Jo as an insider of the royal family affairs (well, we have Sookyung too ), was similar with the accounts of Queen Inmok written in her diary 'Gyech'uk ilgi. The diary was composed and written by unnamed court lady official which is a devotee of the Queen. However, the narration of the Queen 's suffering during her exile, as well as the death of her son Prince Youngchang was debunked by scholars because the standard historical accounts of the King Gwanghae is known to be 'wise and good king'. More about Queen Inmok and her relationship with King Gwanghae --
  10. My Roommate is a Gumiho Filming Locations The template of school scenes (True Beauty for one) is the famous Seoul National University . This is the same location for Lee Dam 's school. Also it is where Orishin shot his arrow straight to my heart for the prize of one cute plushie. The kissu scene is filmed in Seonamsa Temple [UNESCO World Heritage] , known as "The Playground of the Gods" Still have to find where is this
  11. I really hope so. The webtoon Jaeon is not really a likeable character, not sure if the writer intended to have the main lead not getting the girl in the end. Also the writer said the webtoon is completed. No more season to follow. Based on the comments, author is fond of writing 'realistic' endings, based on her previous works.
  12. Just dropping this for information. The scene about the Jakarta tournament got a backlash from the Indonesian netizens. I just have to commend how SBS responded on this. Not all the time production will take action when it comes to these kind of issues.
  13. Racket Boys Filming Location - Episode 5 The lovely potato scene was filmed at Green Barley Field in Gochang .
  14. [Official] "Explosion of presence just from the back"... The 2nd teaser poster for 'Kingdom: Ashin starring Jeon Ji-hyun is unveiled [Sports Chosun Correspondent Jo Ji-young] The world-class entertainment streaming service Netflix has released the second teaser poster for 'Kingdom: Ashen of the North' (screenplay by Eun-hee Kim, directed by Seong-hoon Kim). The 2nd teaser poster that was released draws attention with the strong back of Ah-shin (Jun Ji-hyun), who has become an adult. Ashin, facing the cavalry alone with a bow in the broad plain of the cold northern part of the country, amplifies curiosity just by looking at the back surrounded by black smoke and flames. What kind of whirlpool of fate has struck young Asin (Kim Shia), who has discovered the resurrection plants that bring the dead back to life. The story of 'Ashin, the beginning of death' also causes a lot of speculation about Ashin's warriors who are entangled in the starting point that drove Joseon into fear of the plague. If 'Kingdom' seasons 1 and 2 dealt with the tragedy of the plague that spread like wildfire in the south of Joseon, 'Kingdom: Ashin of the North' deals with the story and origin of the first found plan in the northern part of the wilderness , with unfamiliar background . It makes you anticipate a huge story that will unfold. 'Kingdom: Asin' is a special episode of the 'Kingdom' series that tells the story of Saengsacho and Ashin, the beginning of the great tragedy that covered Joseon. Jeon Ji-hyeon, Park Byeong-eun, Kim Si-a, etc. appeared, and writer Kim Eun-hee, who created the 'Kingdom' series, wrote the script, and director Kim Seong-hoon took the lead. It will be released simultaneously in 190 countries around the world on July 23. source

  16. @abs-oluteMno specific of Kim Dae Seok as Kim Je Nam’s son at the same time Princess Soo Kyung is vague when it comes to records. Given the timeline still, King Gwanghae will be ousted by Kim Jae Jeom-the faction that Bawoo joined forces with. Also, for the record Princess Sookyung is dead , and seems like she will just be recorded as is if we base on the records of King Gwanghae . (He has unnamed daughter—only addressed as Lady Yi). This is quite a leap from the Annals of Joseon but I guess the artistic license they got was the timing differences from the events. The reinstatement of Prince Yeongchang still happened. And from the records of Kim Jenam—the writer tweaked that if given that there is no specific record to say that all of his family died too. It only said that Kim Jenam was tried and executed but no mentioning if all of his family survived or not. (another example of deviation but not really a substantial to the character/legacy of the monarch is from River Where the Moon Rises where in the age of King Jinheung of Silla was adjusted to fit in the narrative)
