  1. @OsmanthusTea I can't handle the hotness! I'm looking forward to all the kisses and making out!!! I have squealed so much watching this drama.. my kids are starting to look at me like I'm crazy.
  2. Finally! Subbed episodes 19-22 are out! On repeat:
  3. @bluepebbles The food porn in this drama is insane! It made me so hungry every time I watched an episode!
  4. One complaint I have is that I wish they'd release more episodes faster! I can't get enough of this drama.
  5. @bluepebbles I'm so glad you're watching this! That scene with the dish soap and bubbles literally had me crying from laughter! This drama does such a good job of inserting comedy where you least expect it and the chemistry between the leads is amazing! The almost kisses and the way they look at each other creates that sexual tension @NiteWalker I'd totally be up for a podcast on this one!
  6. @NiteWalker I have to agree with Zhao Lusi's rant about Gu Shengnan's faults bec they're true! I also found it so frustrating that she kept hanging around Lu Zheng and allowing him to enter her house when Lu Jin had repeatedly told her to stay away from him. You can't blame Lu Jin for misunderstanding the situation. As for Lu Jin and Li Man... I think he valued her as a trusted friend and business partner which is why he kept her around despite knowing she had feelings for him. When Li Man took him out for drinks and confessed, Lu Jin's response was "I am going to pretend I didn't hear anything. You didn't say that. You've had too much to drink. Go home" which to me was consistent with his treatment of Li Man. He has always stated that she was a valuable business partner but that was all she was to him and he wanted to keep it that way.
  7. @OsmanthusTea I just hope it's soon bec the sooner they become a couple, the more kisses and skinship we'll get! I agree, it's refreshing to see how very touchy feely they are and how natural it appears. I also liked Love Designer for the same reason and Dating in the Kitchen. It seems like C dramas are improving when it comes to displays of affection. Let's hope the trend continues!!
  8. YES! That Octopus dance was so cute and hilarious! You can totally see why they work together as a couple.. they are just so in synch and they can be both serious and silly with each other. And yes, the side characters' love story is a killer. I just FF through their scenes. I am hoping for a happy ending for Du Lei. Seriously though, when are they finally going to be together?! I can't wait for all the kissing scenes!
  9. But to be fair, Lu Jin didn't know that her grandfather had fallen ill and was in the hospital. Had he known, he would've flown back and would have been with her. So I don't hold it against Lu Jin. What I like about Lu Jin is that despite the fact that they are so different from each other, he really tries for her and he really appreciates her just the way she is. He likes her better dressing the way she normally does, he appreciates her friends and all the people around her. I thought it was really sweet when they were celebrating at Shengnan's grandpa's restaurant with all the neighbours and extended family. Lu Jin stuck out like a sore thumb and he really looked so out of place but you could see how happy he was watching Shengnan have fun and just be herself. So much so that Lu Jin said in the end that he couldn't help but feel happy that he now also had such a big happy extended family. I also appreciate how unfaltering Lu Jin is and the way he stands up to his mom. I also like that he lets Shengnan fight her own battles and is proud of how she handles things even when it comes to his own mother.
  10. Subbed episode 19 and 20 are finally out! Yay! I have to say I like the fact that Lu Jin's mother isn't opposed to Gu Shengnan because of her background.. rather, her concern is that Shengnan would be a distraction for Lu Jin. I think at this point in the drama, it's really a question of whether Lu Jin can be there for Shengnan considering that his work requires him to travel a lot and he also holds such a high position in the company which requires a lot of his time and attention.
  11. Already caught up to episode 18 and I'm just dying for them to be together already. The leads have such great chemistry. I kinda feel bad for 2nd ML.. he's got such a sad life. TBH, I'm not interested in the love story between the side characters.. LOL
  12. Yes actually Do you consider yourself to be frank?
  13. I still haven't finished this drama because I can't find subbed episodes. I'm stuck at ep 18...
  14. For now, Yes, but as to when, not sure yet since I'm already juggling several dramas. Do you play a musical instrument?
  15. @MMM8P RL is busy and I'm also juggling several dramas at the moment. LOL just too many good ones airing right now! But am good. How are you?
  16. They held hands?! I have been waiting and waiting for them to hold hands!! RE: when Song Ah fell for JY... I don't think there is one defining moment but rather a series of things.. I thought the drama did such a good job of showing them spending time together and getting to know each other as friends first. And then being there for each other. Even though they both held torches for someone else, I don't think they ever planned to do anything about it because both of them valued their friendships - Song Ah toward MS and JY toward HH. I think that is actually one of the things that SA and JY shared and could relate to. I think too that SA and JY saw each other beyond the music. SA didn't just see JY as the talented pianist.. she cared about how he felt. And as for JY, he also saw SA as a person - not just a struggling violinist. In an industry where they are seen according to their skill, they actually saw each other as persons.
  17. @SnowBlob I still loved Love & Destiny despite all the hair criticisms!!!
  18. I've only seen until ep 12 so I'm assuming that's all that's out right now. It's restricted for me on Viki so I've had to search for other sites to watch.
  19. @mademoisellesia I agree, hopefully there is more to his parents' story to support his behaviour. It looks like there's so sort of trauma there for him, considering he has nightmares and likes to keep the door open when he sleeps. I wonder if the kiss, combined with what I assume is CEO eventually developing feelings for her, is what will eventually make him do something. I have to say I am surprised that she threw away the compass he gave her especially since she's been unable to love anyone else besides him. I wonder if she thought to herself that by kissing him, she's done everything she could possibly do and hence feels she might be more ready to breakaway from it?
  20. Okay, I finally watched ep 1 and 2 and so far I like it. It’s obvious that he has always liked her. What I don’t understand is why he keeps pushing her away. I suspect it’s because he’s jaded due to his parents. He probably doesn’t believe in marriage and thinks that remaining friends forever would be the best arrangement. I feel so bad for her getting rejected so many times! I almost think it was cruel of him. lol but I suppose he can’t help but want to be close to her and yet want to keep her at arms length. I am curious to see if the kiss had any effect on either of them.
  21. Joining the party here a little late so I haven't had the chance to read all of your posts but here are my thoughts: Chae Song Ah Like some of you, I am also getting a little frustrated by her lack of confidence. However, I think it stems from the fact that very few people supported her decision to pursue music she is constantly told she is not good enough she happens to be enrolled in a prestigious music school where she is constantly surrounded by talent Perhaps she's obsessed with being able to perform on stage because that, to her, is the validation she needs. Like if she is able to perform, then she's good enough just like everyone else. I am unclear though as to what she wants to do later on after she's had an opportunity to perform. At this point, to me it feels like her ultimate dream is just to be able to perform on stage... but then what after? Park Joon-Young I don't recall if Joon-Young ever said he enjoyed playing piano. I got the impression that he got into it because someone discovered that he had the talent and also because he needed the money. Maybe he enjoyed it in the beginning and the joy died as soon as everyone started putting pressure on him? He really needs to stop paying his father's debts otherwise there won't be an end to it and he's already suffering as it is. I am frustrated with his mother as well. I feel like he's bottled up so much all this time - what he really thought and how he really felt about music, his family, his friendships.. and it's about time that he starts doing what he really wants to do. I love that this drama has done a good job of showing us how not everyone who has the talent enjoys everything that comes with it even when it seems they're living the life. To everyone on the outside, Joon-young has the talent, the fame and the success... but in reality he is lonely, unhappy and he doesn't even have the money. At this point, his so-called talent is a burden to him. Meanwhile we have SA who does not have the talent but works hard to achieve her dreams. She enjoys playing and works hard but is that enough? Can those who do not have the gift, succeed with hard work? Then there's also the element of opportunity. JY not only had the talent but he was given the opportunity and that helped to catapult his career. One might wonder, even if SA doesn't have as much talent, would she have fared better had she been given the same opportunity to learn from a good teacher?
  22. @NiteWalker which episode are you in? There's a scene where they watch a movie together and someone passes by them and says to YX, "you look like Luo Yunxi! So handsome".. and then JJ says "what about me? I hear I look like Bai Lu!"
  23. I am also watching Maiden Holmes but I highly recommend you dive in on this one. Are you watching Dating in the Kitchen? That's another one I highly recommend! @abs-oluteM yes! That video is from this one and I am still waiting for that episode! Can't wait! I've seen all 12 episodes available so far. I have to admit I'm pretty happy to see these kinds of scenes from C dramas lately. @Lynne actually also found a BTS for the kissing scene for Dating in the Kitchen and it was just as hot.
