  1. 2021.10.18 New Stills Walaoeh, she's really trying to kill her future concubine, Ji Woon? KBS’s “The King’s Affection” has released new stills of Park Eun Bin and SF9’s Rowoon ahead of the upcoming episode! Based on the manhwa (Korean comic) of the same name, “The King’s Affection” tells the story of a pair of royal twins, one male and one female. Although the sister is initially abandoned for being female, she later disguises herself as a man to become the crown prince when her brother dies. Park Eun Bin stars as Lee Hwi, the crown prince with a shocking secret, while Rowoon stars as Jung Ji Woon, who is Lee Hwi’s teacher. Spoilers In the previous episode, Lee Hwi and Jung Ji Woon had a fateful reunion. It was a nerve-wracking situation in which Lee Hwi’s actual gender was almost revealed, and viewers are looking forward to what will happen to them next. The preview for episode 3 shared a glimpse of Jung Ji Woon searching for Lee Hwi, describing her as someone “pale with a small face and dark brown hair.” He has no idea she’s the crown prince, and he secretly enters the palace to search for her among the court ladies. On the other hand, Lee Hwi is anxious because Jung Ji Woon saw a side of her he should never see. To make matters worse, he knew her when she was Lee Dam Yi, and Lee Hwi vows to kill him to avoid any messy situations in the future. Newly released stills depict a heart-pounding moment between Lee Hwi and Jung Ji Woon. Lee Hwi spots Jung Ji Woon, who was walking around the palace at night, and aims her arrow at him. Jung Ji Woon’s eyes are wide with fright, and his cheek is bleeding from the fresh wound. The producers commented, “Lee Hwi and Jung Ji Woon, who met again without knowing about each other’s identities, will reunite as if foretelling their fate. Please pay attention to Lee Hwi, who instinctively knows she should avoid him but can’t erase the meeting with him, and Jung Ji Woon, who feels a fateful attraction to her and approaches her.” The next episode of “The King’s Affection” airs on October 18 at 9:30 p.m. KST. source
  2. Hahahahaha I love that we're calculating this. I was curious too and whether that was considered enough for a house. The tax was quite high though, I think 33% ...? (I haven't watched with subs yet). Sigh, it's not enough to pay off a house here.
  3. @SilverMoonTea Sports Kyunghyang posted a pixelated photo and I....
  4. Sighhhh this name changing thing is .... lol. Thank you for being the eagle eye lol
  5. Magazine Photoshoot - Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Shik for Cosmopolitan I guess it is happening... @abs-oluteM @Tofu

  8. Yeah I think COVID has forced some dramas to premiere online instead. Is it? Websites like AsianWiki hasn't updated it so I'm also not sure. There haven't been much mentioned yet. Saw Woo Shik spotted filming and that's it.
  9. You liked it because they were not together
  10. Episode 3 Text Preview Ji Woon fell into the water while helping Hwi at the Gangmujang. When Ji Woon saw Hwi approaching in the water, he was reminded of Dam but lost his consciousness. Hwi started looking for Ji Woon who had disappeared and saw her as a woman. Ji Woon also went looking for Hwi. They met again at an unexpected place...
  11. @abs-oluteM Story ↓ 6 episodes, 30 mins per episode. 100% pre-production. Not yet confirmed.
  12. Yeah I remember this scene, I think it is true. I'd also go for the throat (adam's apple) and wouldn't be fighting fair, so genitals it is! I once had a colleague who teaches karate and self-defense classes and as a favour requested by our boss he showed us some self-defense moves but he said, because we're women and weaker in strength, it is best that when we're attacked, we remain calm and run rather than fight. Several times I thought she should be suffering from broken ribs or internal bleeding actually especially when being kicked. Though agreed that the show is not totally unrealistic and she does get bruises & injuries. Her acting hadn't been as good as expected as a child actress or as sunbae who's been in the industry for so long. Her weakness is in romance. I do think he likes her because the moment he heard from Gang Jae he got hold of her, he rushed to save her. He became obsessed and it led to the end of his organisation. I can't really say that's really "romance". It was more like two people found some similarities of one another, and understood each other pain, then spent a night together. It could develop into one but... (spoilers so I won't say). P.S. I was supposed to come in here to introduce you guys watching Sinkhole (movie)! It's very interesting. I think you guys will like it. LOL, I'm just using this thread to talk about random stuff xD @Chocolate @ktcjdrama @abs-oluteM
  13. For the laughs, I've no idea who this guy is...
  14. BTS @ktcjdrama Ruby's aegyo feels so fake. I hope no one actually does it to that level. It felt like it was exaggerated for dramatic purposes rather than realistic. Besides, being "cute" is supposed to be a natural thing. Aegyo as well, is another natural thing that cannot be fake.
  15. Hahahaha, so picky Chocolate. You've seen her acted in Memories of the Alhambra and Sisyphus, isn't it? And I assumed #Alive as well? What do you think? I think she was popular since You're Beautiful. Her fame got heightened further because of The Heirs. So now you can see she's pairing up with male leads that are more veteran than actors her age or younger because her star status has up another level (at least that's my observation from her recent co-star pairing). The pairing that you had wanted before 😆
  16. @Chocolate Doctors fight scene was better choreographed (https://youtu.be/j9r0rhAA0ro) Woah, I'm surprised about The Veil. The rating seems to be doing well and I saw you guys actively discussed and sometimes praises it so I thought it's good and it's just me couldn't get into it. Edit: I apologise in advance for this criticism...
  17. I just died from the above comment. Maybe it's the cinematography and editing? I've seen an action scene being edited (speed increase) and the action looked so much better. Sisyphus was poorly edited. What is the verdict for The Veil (story-wise)? I know he:
