  1. Park Sung Hoon Transforms Into A Talented Investor Shrouded In Mystery In Upcoming Drama “Queen Of Tears” tvN’s “Queen of Tears” has charismatic stills of Park Sung Hoon! Penned by “Crash Landing on You,” “My Love From the Star,” and “The Producers” writer Park Ji Eun, “Queen of Tears” will tell the miraculous, thrilling, and humorous love story of a married couple who manage to survive a crisis and stay together against all odds. Kim Soo Hyun will star as Baek Hyun Woo, the legal director of the conglomerate Queens Group, while Kim Ji Won will play his wife Hong Hae In, the chaebol heiress known as the “queen” of Queens Group’s department stores. In the newly released stills, Park Sung Hoon transforms into Yoon Eun Sung, a former Wall Street analyst and current M&A expert. Eun Sung is a famous and talented investor who knows how to predict the success and failure of investments. There are many people who want to know about Eun Sung, but his private life is completely shrouded in a veil. While there are many chaebols making offers to Eun Sung, he chooses the Queens Group for an unknown reason, raising curiosity. In public, Eun Sung captures the hearts of investors with a gentle yet confident smile, but when he is alone, he maintains a cold gaze without hesitation. Viewers are curious to find out what Eun Sung’s true identity is. “Queen of Tears” will premiere on March 9 at 9:20 p.m. KST. Stay tuned!
  2. LOL @Chocolate @ktcjdrama everyone here lives for drama. Tofu and Tea have dropped the drama, but upon learning what happened between Su Min and Min Hwan, they are now interested to pick it up again! The show is probably not going to explain this, but the bit about Manager Kang is so, how to say, illogical? I thought when she said she has evidence, it was because the HR guy is the witness. However, all of a sudden, because Min Hwan died, the dashcam video's images are restored. What the...? Anyway, agreed with all that this episode is definitely more interesting, except I still don't appreciate the characters taking turns being stupid. In this episode, Yura is the stupid one. As filthy rich as she plays out to be, she doesn't have any other backup plan to handle Su Min's threat? Must she partner up with Min Hwan only...? I'd have just hired a pro mercernery from A Shop For Killers to deal with it. I'm sure Mr. annoying Seong Joo would be sufficient. A silent bullet through the sniper would have done the job. Clean and no witness! Of courseeeee... then we won't have the dramatic effect everyone loves. Haha. And yeah, Na In Woo is a lot more handsome and charming in this episode. I think he has a trim, the hairstyle always make a difference. Agree with the scene at the lift. I actually thought of you, @Chocolate. I thought, "This is the type of scene she will feel excited about!" I think playing villain is definitely more interesting than the protagonist. It's the typical Disney classic's Snow White vs Maleficient kind of contrast. There was another thing I notice as well is, how purposely the scene was shot. They made sure Ji Won is taller than Su Min and at one point even tower over her to give off the required 氣勢 (how do you describe this in English?). I haven't seen E16, but I'm guessing Su Min's revenge will be pretty lacklustre and quick to solve since Ji Hyuk and Ji Won fully expected her attacks.
  3. 有我在 works too! Both novel writer and screenwriter. I agree with your dad. I nearly drop the drama because the grandmother and aunt were so noisy! The scene where SS confronted her mother was what kept me going. I blame the Director for allowing such overly dramatic quarelling. I find the scene of 5th princess downfall the worst and too melodramatic. It wasn't like this in the book. In the drama, everyone apart from LBY, SS and Concubine Yue were yelling in the end. Even the Emperor himself was yelling, which I thought was unnecessary. As an Emperor, he had no 威嚴 at that moment, which I find against his character. Is the translator still translating? I hope she will continue on and complete it. Do you mean you wanted to read what happened after LBY killed his uncle i.e., the part where Shao Shang is engaged to Yuan Shan Jian and then Ling Bu Yi returned? In novel, SS and YSJ are in a more friendly situation than in the drama. In drama, YSJ was very childish in the sense that he keeps saying things against his will and annoy SS. In the book, she asked YSJ to find out for her how Lou Yao was doing, except just when he has news for her, she had no time to care about Lou Yao because LBY got into big trouble with Emperor coz of her (the bit where he was spanked).
  4. Do you guys think maybe Kyung Min was the one who introduce the Macau chaebol to Jeong Woo's clinic? Notice he even sat at the Macau side rather than Jeong Woo's side. Or... it's just the show trying to make us think Kyung Min is the culprit. Hahaha. *Think too much*
  5. Wasn't the criteria of fate transfer being "the husband needs to have the thought of killing his wife" - that was all she needed. I doubt Ji Won would want to really sleep with Min Hwan if she had to seduce him. Hahaha! But in episode 1, Min Hwan was in his undies and shirt was unbuttoned. Su Min was in his inner wear as well. In this scene, both are too fully clothed.
  6. @Chocolate I much prefer if he said 別怕,有我在. LOL! On rewatch, I'm grumbling at the writer. Under her pen, so many of the female characters are stupid and doesn't know when to shut their mouth to save their own lives (the grandmother - though she's entertainingly funny, the aunt, 3rd + 5th princess, Crown Princess, Wang Ling, Lou Yao's sister and her mother, Wen Xiu Jun, Yu Chang*, Ru Yang and ZiSheng's stepmother). I'm also (still) not a fan of the Empress. *In novel, Yu Chang isn't spoilt like in the drama. Feel like there are more stupid women than stupid men in this show. The 5th Prince is not smart, but at least he was hilarious whereas these women are just plain one-dimensionally bitchy.
  7. @Chocolate I don't think she has ever slept with with him. They were still fully clothed lying on the bed when Su Min walked in on them. My guess is she was just giving him a lil' bit skinship so that he would do her bidding. Take note she kissed him on his cheeks only based on the lipstick mark.
  8. Hmm, this doesn't make me wanna watch the show neh.
  9. No no. 1 x Jang Shin Yu. It costs 400 points.
  10. @Chocolate Do you prefer I buy you a Jang Shin Yu instead?
  11. Episode 8 took an unexpected turn. That's the shortest relationship between an OTP. 😅 I wish the drama deal with both leads' struggles and backstory equally, but it doesn't seem to be the case. It took less than one episode to give us Jeong Woo's backstory and we're back to more episodes on Ha Neul's problems. I do love that Dae Young and Jeong Woo made up, and really hope to see more interactions between them. Honestly, we still don't know what exactly happened between them. It now made it look like Jeong Woo didn't think it was a big deal and it was all Dae Young being overly sensitive. I don't know, it just feels like when it comes to Jeong Woo, there is a lack of context. And OMG, whyyyyy Hong Ran? Why did she have to tell Ha Neul the reason behind Jeong Woo's rejection? She could have just ended it with, "Jeong Woo rejected the opportunity" and let Ha Neul confront Jeong Woo. 🤦🏻‍♀️ @peperomia I don't know how he plans to pay back his debt, maybe he eventually picked up the phone calls from those people who decided to do business with him again. There are still a lot of face mask to run out...? But, I thought it was considerate of him. I, too, don't think the break up is necessarily bad if they can still remain civil and be around one another. Moreover, looks like his PTSD is still an issue (from the next episode). So technically, both still have to take care of their own problems or do it together, whichever way they choose. As for the OTP's relationship, I'm glad Jeong Woo asks Ha Neul about the cause of her depression. More importantly he knows she isn't being open with it. Granted I understand the reason why Ha Neul didn't want to tell Jeong Woo about Kyung Min's wrongdoings because they are friends, but since she went and splashed water on his face in public, she should have just exposed him then and there. Even if she can't prove it, it at least would cast doubts on Kyung Min. BTS
  12. @abs-oluteM Huhhhh. You mean to tell me Wang Yue Xin is even younger than Lei Lei? He does have an older vibe. I'm rewatching LLTG. So far, both Lei and YY are one hit wonder.
  13. I forgot to mention/question... now that Jeong Woo knows he isn't the cause of the patient's death. Does that cure his PTSD? Don't know how this works. At least he should ideally be free of nightmares.
  14. Pre-release E8 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA their sweet date for her is to read literatures? === Is it me or all of a sudden his case was resolved too easily? I thought it was just nice that we got to learn more about Jeong Woo, and BAM, it's over. Hmm... what are we going to watch for the rest of the series? Maybe now Yoon Park's scenes will increase. I did LOL-ed when he was scolded by Ha Neul's mother. Wonder what happened between him and Jeong Woo now. They were close but they fell apart. I'm wondering if this had something to do with that sunbae. He is still suss.
  15. @gilaswan Ji Hyuk and Yura are family friends, so he didn't want to take it too far with her out of being polite and respect for her family. Probably not about who is more influencial or powerful. Both probably are strong in their area of businesses and could help each other and become stronger, that's why Haraboji wanted them to marry. In the original timeline (drama version), he did break off their engagement. But it didn't lead to what we see now because Ji Won was already married to Min Hwan. I honestly didn't like Yura's reasoning of her meddling with Ji Hyuk and Ji Won's relationship. It felt forced and unnecessary. OMG, yeah, Eun Ho's side-story was so random. Not even sure what she wants Eun Ho to do if he agrees to work with/for her. Did she think, because he was rejected by Ji Won, he naturally would develop some sort of hate towards Ji Won...? So she thinks she could manipulate him to punish Ji Won or get him to chase Ji Won and break those two up. Captivating the King
  16. @ktcjdrama I have heard of BoA by name. Not a KPOP stan, so I don't know her music or background. Yes, I remember Song Ha Yoon in Devilish's Joy. I watched it because I thought the pairing looks good, but the drama itself is meh. She's also in Fight My Way. @gilaswan Bahahahaha. Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking they are competing who is the stupdiest of them all! I think what happened at the end of the episode is planned as "for dramatic's sake". I did read that Jo Jung Seok's performance was really good. Not so much from FL. The latest post I came across, he slept her. Hahaha... I kinda want to wait and see if the whole thing turn out good. Do you think they will have a happy ending? He's a King, and didn't he kill her family? How will they have happy ending?
  17. Pre-release Su Min will experience the same scenario as Ji Won (except she's not sick). What was outstanding for me was the ending bit where you can see the actress went, "Waaa, si..." and her hand was shaking. The actress was really channelling that emotion.
  18. New Previews Tagging @abs-oluteM, this is totally your cuppa. Contract marriage + starts falling for one another after marriage.
