  1. Someone (I think it is a florist who delivered some flowers to Son Ye Jin at the filming site) posted this photo of a "car". It's the first photo after filming started. Do you see anything noteworthy?
  2. Series Mania Hot Project: ‘Thirty-Nine’ From Korea’s JTBC By Rebecca Souw | Aug 26, 2021 Producer and broadcaster JTBC has such a strong track record of making attractive and successful Korean TV drama series from tales of everyday lives that almost everything it does is likely to attract attention. Adding the presence of Son Ye-jin, star of Studio Dragon and Netflix hit “Crash Landing on You,” makes “Thirty-Nine” potentially one of the hottest Korean series of 2022. The title is a reference to the age of three female friends who are only just the right side of forty. The 12-part romantic drama depicts them juggling life, work and relationships as they approach mid-life. Son, who had the starring role in early 2000s blockbuster films “The Classic” and “April Snow” but in recent years has focused more on TV, plays the head of a dermatology clinic in Seoul’s affluent Gangnam district. She is joined by co-stars Jeon Mi Do (tvN’s “Hospital Playlist”) as a drama teacher whose acting career turned out to be a dream, and actor-musician Kim Ji Hyun who plays a shy department store manager, who never had a serious relationship in her life. 3. @yejin_fans Musical actress Kim Jihyun and Jeon Mido reunite in #ThirtyNine starring role ✨ The fact that Jeon Mido and Kim Jihyun, who were active on stage together, are working together again in the small screen attracts attention.

  7. Epilogue After dinner, Yo Han: Do you like to dance? Sun Ah: Yes. Yo Han: Let's go. It'll be our first date. At the club, she takes his hand, he holds her waist and pulls her close. Getting a drink at the bar, they stare into each other's eyes and whisper sweet nothings. Yo Han: Let's go home. To be continued...
  8. LOL @mademoiselle that meme is so funny! Was I that brutal? Here, let me make amends to @abs-oluteM and @im0202. Yo Han says "Come with me, Sun Ah." Sun Ah smiles tremulously, hope in her eyes... "Yes, Master Yo Han" she says and puts down her gun. And they live happily ever after... The end.
  9. Haha, but I think we overlook one point. Yo Han is not after all the shiny things that Sun Ah wants. They may scheme and use similar methods, but their fundamental reason for being is worlds apart. He has no craving for power or to rule the world. So I'm sorry. There is no possibility for this ship
  10. I was just going to say, he has bedroom eyes here... 😂 This is a lovely photo.

But the audition judges asked her to take it off because they couldn't stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣 Kim Jae Kyung On The Ending Of “The Devil Judge,” Sharing Concerns With Co-Star GOT7’s Jinyoung, And More Aug 25, 2021 by S. Cho Kim Jae Kyung recently shared her thoughts on the conclusion of “The Devil Judge,” her co-stars, support from her Rainbow members, and more! tvN’s “The Devil Judge” takes place in an alternate-universe dystopian Korea where the entire nation participates in a live broadcast courtroom show. On August 22, the drama aired its finale to its highest ratings yet. Kim Jae Kyung played the role of Oh Jin Joo, who grew up in a poor family, but becomes an associate judge who loves her job. Regarding her preparations for the character, Kim Jae Kyung revealed, “I realized I’ve never met anyone with the career of a judge. That’s why from the start of my audition process, I was asking around to see if anyone knew a judge, and I luckily was able to meet one.” She also spoke in-depth about her audition process, sharing, “I like ‘Harry Potter’ so I have a cloak. I wanted to go to my audition wearing something similar to judge’s robes. So I wore my ‘Harry Potter’ cloak to the audition. I wanted to immerse myself into the career realistically, so I went to my audition after I watched interviews with judges and studied.” Kim Jae Kyung continued, “I did all my lines wearing the ‘Harry Potter’ cloak. After I finished, the writer and director were talking when the director suddenly asked if I could take it off, because they couldn’t focus as it was making them laugh.” She added, “If you look at it a certain way, ‘The Devil Judge’ is scary. Within that, letting viewers catch their breath was my role. It felt like Kim Jae Kyung as a person was already fulfilling that role.” Source

Cho The premiere of Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho’s upcoming drama is quickly approaching! On August 24, tvN’s “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” held an online press conference featuring Shin Min Ah, Kim Seon Ho, Lee Sang Yi, and director Yoo Je Won. Lee Sang Yi plays Ji Sung Hyun, a variety show PD known for creating warm content about people’s everyday lives. Even ahead of the premiere, Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho are generating lots of buzz for their romantic chemistry. Shin Min Ah expressed her satisfaction in their work together, commenting, “As there’s so much anticipation, rather than feeling pressured, I gained strength to film. Kim Seon Ho has such a good personality and is the type to make you feel comfortable. [Through this project] I wanted to show a flexible image and he responded to that well. To me, I think we match well.” Kim Seon Ho agreed and added, “I talked about this with Lee Sang Yi but Shin Min Ah has an open and generous mind. She accepts anything. That’s why every moment was enjoyable. She always comes with fun ideas and implements them. It was so fun and we laughed a lot.” The two leads are already being coined the ‘dimple couple’ for their similar smiles and Kim Seon Ho commented, “Isn’t there a vibe when we take photos together? It became a source of strength that people said we looked good together. It felt good to hear that our images overlapped.” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” premieres on August 28 at 9 p.m. KST. 13. @serineblack Just #binjin proving for the nth time that they’ve been sharing the same brain even before they met. 💯 Both interviews are from Guerilla Date. HB’s is from 2005; Yejin’s is from 2016.❤ @dimple_owner There is also other Hyun Bin's Guerilla Date in 2017, he was asked the exact same question by the host that ask Yejin to choose between hearing beautiful or act well. Cbones16 Yes, though in 2017 I think he said he likes hearing both, but when it comes to his work he prefers act well. I think that's true for both of them, as well.
  14. @tangerinebysheh Ladies & gents, the WOMEN of #ThirtyNine 😍
  15. Lee Jung Jae And Park Hae Soo’s “Squid Game” Unveils Main Poster + Director Reveals Story Took 10 Years To Plan Aug 24, 2021 by C. Hong Netflix’s upcoming series “Squid Game” has unveiled its first main poster! “Squid Game” is a new drama about a mysterious survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won (about $40 million). Lee Jung Jae and Park Hae Soo star as two childhood friends who wind up joining the game—only to learn that there’s much more at stake than just the prize money. The main poster sets out both the stakes of the game and the terrifying consequences should one fail. Most of the contestants, dressed in green tracksuits, are staring up at the clear glass bubble full of prize money, signifying the primary motivation for joining the game. But the group in the center, including Park Hae Soo and Lee Jung Jae, stare toward the camera, suggesting that their primary motivation is to escape the facility alive. Behind them are the masked guards in red hazmat suits, carrying weapons and blocking the contestants’ escape. These are those who run the games and manage the contestants, but the cloaked figure in a silver mask is the true unknown face behind the games. The poster’s caption reads, “45.6 billion won ruins the adults’ sense of childhood innocence.” The director of “Squid Game,” Hwang Dong Hyuk, has worked on movies in diverse genres like “The Fortress,” “Miss Granny,” and “Silenced.” He shared that he had first gotten the idea in 2008 while avidly reading a comic book about a group of people who had fallen into an extreme game. He said, “I wanted to make a survival drama that was the most Korean.” The games in “Squid Game” are common games that most Koreans play in childhood, except with a fatal twist. “I wanted to create a sense of connection between the nostalgic games we played in our childhood and the sense of never-ending competition that modern adults feel,” he said. “There’s an irony in our most beautiful and innocent memories being changed into the most horrifying reality.” It was through Netflix that Hwang Dong Hyuk was finally able to bring his idea to life after 10 years of planning. “It’s a challenging project, so I was able to have physical and psychological freedom [through Netflix],” he said. This is the first time that the director has taken on a series rather than a movie, and was able to exercise more freedom about the story’s length, content, and worldbuilding. “Squid Game” premieres on Netflix on September 17. Check out a teaser here! Source
