  1. Hahaha, yeah, I noticed that too. I think his acting is improving, but he seems like such a happy and chill person in real life that I imagine it must take him a bit to cry like that! I think it proves JK is honest as a person (since she didn't want to feel dishonest to her friend), which is a contrast to SJin who hides all her schemes. It also shows that this couldn't possibly be a misunderstanding, so it is purely on SJin to be responsible for how she reacts...and she reacts badly. Wow, I find I rarely encounter 'bad' male second leads...I feel like I'm always encountering the dreamy second male lead and that's how I discover new Oppas and remain in a perpetual state of SLS I guess it happens every now and then....the one that I have a strong impression of is from a really old drama called Delightful Girl Chun Hyang ....he was a blackmailer. I agree! I love her version of JK, who I find to be much warmer than the webtoon character. She's just so cute and resilient despite having self-esteem issues from bullying
  2. Episodes 11 & 12 - Have to say this drama really went up in my eyes this week because I feel like the story finally picked up with the humour Like instead of it being more slapstick, it's finally pulled out the bromance card and used it for humour, rather than just having cakes flying and classmates being nosy as the "funny" element of the drama. -I have to say I laughed at the car accident because it was soooo melodramatic with how SH flew up into the air for so long while SJ ended up on the ground instantly -I'm proud that JK found the courage to tell SJin about SH...but I wish SJin's response to JK had been genuine! It just seems so sad for JK that one of the few people she thought was a friend will use her secret against her ...It also seems so much more evil for SJin to pretend to get over something, but backstab her friend! She is really quite nasty, which is sad because I wanted to like her character as she was so cool in the beginning. -Hahaha, the hospital bromance was soooo entertaining...I think partly because of the whole Mr Tinkles revelation to SH who then kept using it against SJ How embarrassing...especially when he then needed SH's help to use the bathroom . But I like that SJ didn't even get mad at his mum...SJ's character is so soft towards his family and I really like that warmth his character has! SJ piggybacking SH to get some fresh air was also quite funny...it's the banter between a very sardonic, cynical SH and a very charismatic, trash-talking SJ that has finally made this show really enjoyable to me And with the apology, it looks like more bromance scenes to come! -Another thing that has really ramped up is the romance I liked when JK fell into SH's wheelchair and he clung onto her, and the hiding in his hospital bed was also funny. And then the two kisses in episode 12 especially the one at the end when he pinned her against the gate...that was particularly pretty and not a freeze kiss -I like the openness of the guy's acknowledging they both like the same girl, but no longer really hurting each other over it even though it does hurt SJ and feel uncomfortable for SH. But at least they're willing to try to make their friendship work in memory of their friend and the fondness and care they have for each other . In contrast, SJin's actions seem so cold and calculating... actively using JK's secret to hurt her by continuously pulling the new transfer student in, blackmailing SH and teaming up with the old school bullies...she is really is such a terrible person...how is someone 'yours' if you have to threaten them to like you? And even if they liked you, they wouldn't anymore knowing you were like that. I feel sorry for her abusive situation, but her actions are totally not forgivable. -I say this every week, but JK's sister and her 'Grapefruit lover' makes me laugh so much. Also her constantly pinning him up and chasing after him is so cute. I definitely have a big girl crush on her and aspire for that level of coolness...That hotpot scene with the two guys being bossed about while the sisters argued was also one of my fave scenes -Wowwwww....I cannot believe JK's secret is out! This definitely does not happen in the webtoon, that's for sure. And judging from the trailer, it's not a dream....so wondering what's going to happen...you would think people wouldn't be so shallow...especially since her friends have known she was a nice person for months!
  3. Hahaha This one is always popping up on those rising star lists https://www.hancinema.net/hancinema-s-news-top-10-male-rising-stars-in-k-dramas-that-you-need-to-look-out-for-148525.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Lee Jae Wook has had one of the steadiest career progressions in the industry. He has worked hard over the years without a rest and finally in 2020, Lee Jae-wook received his first offer for the leading role in a drama. "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol" was a breakthrough success and it only heightened fans' expectation for his future projects. https://www.soompi.com/article/1441122wpp/from-rookies-to-stars-12-hottest-rising-k-drama-actors-of-2020 To say that Lee Jae Wook is a great actor is an understatement. It hasn’t taken people much to realize the versatility in his roles. Every role he takes on is so different from the one before that it’s almost hard to believe that it’s the same actor. This past year was special for Lee Jae Wook. He had his first starring role in the romantic drama “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol” as Sun Woo Joon, a high school boy who falls in love at first sight with a pianist. He then goes to great lengths to show her how much he loves her and basically devotes his life for her. It’s a role that will make your heart swell up with love and you’ll definitely become a fan of Lee Jae Wook, if you weren’t already that is!
  4. Episode 8-9 -Enxi is like the most annoying toxic friend I've seen in awhile. Those friends who are always bossing people around and trying to match-make others against their will is so annoying...not to mention she's so mean to Ou Yang Kai and is a snob to everyone except Professor Lu who doesn't even like her...also why is she trying so hard to set up Hsin Yu with the Professor when she likes him herself? Then she gets jealous when Hsin Yu goes to get help from the Professor??? And she purposefully told Mrs Wu about her dead son!!! -The story has good ghost story concepts, but some of the scenes things don't make complete sense (ie. if there's a video on the internet making people lose their souls when they watch it, how would it be going viral???) -But....there's lots of swoon worthy moments between Ivy Shao and Mike He. They are just so aesthetic and I think they are such a pretty pairing. It's been ages since I watched a Mike He drama, but he still has such an intense gaze of love towards his on-screen co-star partners And they're giving them lots of cute lovingly gazing scenes together....
  5. I learnt from other people's disappointment from the other awards that had paid tickets earlier last year...was it Asian Artist awards?...I heard that it froze and it wasn't even a live stream...just a stream from like 2 days prior...And people shared everything on Twitter anyway and even subbed it too...so I was like, I'm never going to spend money on streaming tickets...if I spend money, must include live meeting la But if it makes you feel better, I think that other AAA streaming ticket was more expensive. He's such a good actor! So well deserved
  6. Hahaha, oh I think he could gaze at her all day if he reallllly had to... Hahaha I know right! If I had known, I would have saved all their content! But as it is...I only have a few things that I downloaded and a few things that other people saved. Sigh...But I still find some nice DDSSLLS fan accounts...or multi accounts with DDSSLLS edits. Here's a new one I found today: Instagrammer: Lazychopstick They made some nice music videos with the episodes and OST: Always remember: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKLm27KBg76/ Love or Lies: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIyV-SxnmpP/ It's too hard for me: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIknE2vF0LB/ There's also a lot of lovely edits Haha, yeah I was surprised but happy that even though the show ended awhile ago, there was still a new fan account that popped up...also that they weren't as bitter about the ending and dedicated a whole insta account to the drama Haha, I feel like Go Ara has a huge fan base in Indonesia! Actually this person posted this and I thought you guys would find it relevant It will have been 2 months since the show ended in 3 days. If a friend will help out, I might try to translate one of the few leftover behind the scenes for this 2 month anniversary Haha, the blame is 50/50 KBS and the writers in my eyes....I do think KBS tried to push out a lot of content like stills and videos, but my main issue is that they ignored the drama at the awards I do wonder the TV stations have a say in magazine shoots though? I feel that might be a deal with agencies and Magazine publishing companies But if it was the TV stations job...yeah, they might not have pushed hard enough for LJW and GAR I think Netflix Korea/ The Swoon were the only ones that made a good effort promoting the series Haha, I swear they're one of the couples who have played the most games! Of course there's always some activities they didn't get to do.... Which games did they not play that you wished they did? I kind of wished they had done one of those 'Compliment me' videos where they read out the cheesy comments written by fans! Haha, I can imagine LJW getting sooo shyyyy if GAR read out a particularly soppy comment about him I feel like this would happen... Hahaha, waiiiiittttt.....which episode was this of Extraordinary You?? I watched that series and I don't remember. Not that I'm going to re-watch it or anything... Hahaha, this is a good way to look at it....I didn't even know Private Lives was on Netflix at all! I think it had pretty poor ratings compared to DDSSLLS as they were in the same time slot. Still it's weird of Netflix not to promote it at all...I'm glad they did a whole lot for Jun and Lala Yayyyy...I'm glad you still got a keepsake It looks like there's a few stills on the cover. I also caved in and bought it to fill the emptiness of not getting the Making DVD
  7. @abs-oluteM @mademoiselle Lee Do Hyun looking so pretty
  8. Oh @Tofu I came to the epiphany yesterday that I'm actually quite basic and am like a majority of people on social media...I like the bad boys from high school dramas (who are all actually in their 20s and 30s) Hahaha, I'm so basic...what a terrible realisation But luckily my forever Oppa is the ultimate good boy, Jasper Liu I guess that makes up for it? Hahaha I don't like any of the characters from Bridgerton! If we're talking British drama, my forever love will always be Richard Armitage's portrayal of John Thornton from North and South I seem to have returning Oppas lately. I've been a fan of Yoon Park since Age of Youth but have never finished any of his series since then (Dropped Search.... Birthcare Centre and Introverted Boss on hiatus) I think it's because he's almost never the lead role! This Australian Asia pop channel made a good list on actors who just seem to be permanent second lead and he is on it: https://www.sbs.com.au/popasia/blog/2019/07/12/k-drama-male-co-stars-wed-love-see-lead-role I just like him whenever he posts on Instagram The way he looked at Han Ye Ri Also his dance moves. LOL: gif credits: https://seokjinings.tumblr.com/post/156617156753/favorite-kdrama-couples-yoon-jin-myung-park Another returning Oppa is Mike He coz I'm still watching The Devil Punisher. He is still pretty fine...the drama is not the best, but also not the worst. I think the base ideas are good...could be executed better. Sometimes the scenes make no sense at all...but eh, TW actors are sooo charismatic and they get me every time
  9. I think so! It's changed across all the drama info sites like AsianWiki and My Drama List....but not sure how they found out. How did you find out @abs-oluteM?
  10. Haha I am enjoying True Beauty more than I thought I would. The last two episodes have been really good on the humour and bromance and have upped my love/ oppa status for Hwang In Yeop Maybe also all these subbed BTS videos of him have also added to the love: https://www.instagram.com/inyeopsubs/ Maybe I'm also just more basic than I think and I like bad school boys...don't make me pick between them though! ....damn, I'm disappointed at how basic I am Hahaha @SilverMoonTea we met through your love for LSG when we fangirled over Twogether....so at least that one has been somewhat long term Hahaha, this one is also pretty fineeee Congrats! Good pick @abs-oluteM! Does that mean you'll be watching Doom at Your Service too? @mademoiselle still a week left in Jan! Hope an Oppa drops out of a drama for you
  11. Hahaha, I just love alllll her photoshoots...The one with Park Hyung Sik was cute too...they always style her nicely, have pretty pastel backdrops and have her handsome co-stars gazing lovingly at her...I wish this had happened for GAR and LJW...but even if it didn't for DDSLLS, I hope it happens somehow for them in the future *delusional daydreaming* Hahaha, I think GAR still liked some of LJW's post while filming....like this mimi one...But both of them aren't super social media-ish. Even with his Extraordinary You friends which he's close to as they're all similar ages, he doesn't usually like/comment on their posts....only once in awhile. Also I think @eNDe is right...LJW tends to reply to comments...but GAR doesn't seem to leave a lot of comments The actress who played Dr Cha's wife left a comment on LJW last post about him looking like a rapper and he replied...haha also KJH who played Dr Cha likes all LJW's photos which is very cute...nice to know the DDSSLLS crew still interact with each other. Oh I didn't realise she was a child actress! I liked Shia-A in that drama...though I really watched it for Lee Do Hyun If they don't pair GAR with LJW again, I may forgive the stations if they pair her up with LDH! Could you imagine if they announced another project with the two of them? Haha, we would all be soooo keen. Or even if they did a project a few years apart...or every few years...Gong Yoo and Jung Yumi are working on their 4th project together (!!!) which makes me hope that it's possible for these 2 to be reunited one day. I feel like someone posted some of them on the DDSSLLS main thread...I remember seeing one of the SALT agency videos...but for some reason never saw this one with the 3 of them! Yeah, it's so rare for agencies to be inclusive of other actors. The only times I really see agencies include other actors are if they're both managed by same agency (Like Moon Ga Young and Hwang In Yeop of True Beauty - they're both in the KeyEast videos because they're both from there). Since I've put it up, I feel like a few people have said they've not seen it before too...so I guess it's sort of nice to find something new-ish, even though technically it's not all that new Also someone put up this filming picture which I'd never seen before... Another video I like... I really like this edit of Lala and Jun: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKUYVR8Do4u/ I think it's quite funny because the account that did it looks like they'd be too cool be into a romance Asian drama...but they cut the video to a song that I love...they put all the more dramatic scenes which work with the feelings of 'addiction' in the song....haha kind of a hot edit Video with music in the link above with the song...but I gif'd it anyway (Haha paranoia of videos disappearing since that nice DDSSLLS instagram account went missing!) Hahaha, I mentioned somewhere that I love dramas with long and ridiculous but mysterious names. That's probably why I ended up picking DDSSLLS too But that drama One Day Destruction Entered the Front Door of My House has gotten renamed today to Doom at Your Service Hahaha I think I forgot about the topless scenes until I saw this edit...but recently also found these funny gifs which made me laugh Maybe this is all of our reactions to a topless LJW though... Hahaha Thank you for the imagining of the behind the scenes of their photoshoot LJW too shy to take photos with Sunbaenim huh? Thank God they did so many Swoon games. It really cheers me up. Actually, looking at all their Swoon videos makes me happy ..haha, sometimes I watch them again just to give those videos a few more views. I feel bad they didn't get half as many views as some of those other ones for Start Up and whatnot This is what happens when you like a underrated drama!
  12. Looks like these Extraordinary You cameos keep coming...Kim Young Dae announced today which means there's been an appearance of all of the A3...wonder if Rowoon will do one in these last few episodes... But I somehow doubt it because he's been filming for the start of Sunbae https://www.soompi.com/article/1450081wpp/the-penthouse-star-kim-young-dae-to-make-special-appearance-in-true-beauty https://entertain.naver.com/now/read?oid=609&aid=0000390365
  13. I just saw this too! I don't mind it....Doom at Your Service is not as bad a change as She Would Never Know ...but I still prefer the first name
  14. Hahaha there is a timeline for the rumours. I can't tell if this drama is popular because everyone is linked to it...or too unpopular because no one seems to want it definitely! I watched Suspicious Partners too and it was fine from memory....enjoyable. I am a little confused about the plot for this drama though...maybe others are too?
  15. @Lynne Are you still watching? LOL I haven't updated on this thread for the longest time! But I also just put this drama on pause since I ended up swinging back into watching live K-dramas quite heavily and 2 episodes a week is so hard to follow So I was only up to Episode 5 for like a month or so! Episode 5-7 - Ghost in red dress was kind of lame to honest - I can't believe she just had a crush on Ou Yang Kai...but I'm glad she didn't commit suicide for him. I liked the cameo by Lyan. -The piano playing mum ghost in episode 7 was more scary to be honest...haha an Asian parent back from the dead to force you to play piano -The best character from this show is Ou Yang Kai to be honest. I think he carries the humour...and at first he was a bit of a bully, but now I like how he's so warm for Enxi and has a lot of respect for Cheng nan....in fact he's pretty helpful and nice for a rich guy - Found it a bit annoying Enxi kept trying to set up Professor Lu and Hsin Yu, but seems she has crush on Professor herself - I like the sweetness between Ivy Shao and Mike He. I think Episode 5 started to be more development between these 2. On a shallow level, they just look so pretty together. But I think their chemistry is also quite lovely even though the story is a bit silly at times...when they look into each other's eyes, it's quite electric -Alsoooo....that evil ghost who destroyed the bridge.....can't believe he is Mrs Wu, the old bakery lady's son! Hahaha, yeah, it's like the TW style. Sometimes the comedy is a bit too silly...but sometimes it's funny. I like the Ou Yang Kai humour...but some of the other humour is not so funny I'm not a fan of Professor Lu btw. He just seemed clingy....and the actor is not a great actor, very stiff...but I guess he's new. People says he looks like the actor Bii...but I don't think so Sorry I missed this post from ages ago @stroppyse ...I ended up holding this on pause and only catching up now! Not sure if you ever checked it out or are still curious, but I'll just answer in case anyway. This drama has a series of ghost stories, so I guess some stories are sad...but I think it's not too deeply sad - K-dramas cut deeper in comparison. The humour of Taiwanese dramas can be quite slapstick though. This drama is less like Goblin (except for the way Mike He looks)...and more like Hotel Del Luna in the ghost element. But TW dramas have very little budget for special effects...so not sure how you would feel about that aspect of it
  16. Hahaha clearly "housewife" cosplay doesn't work on Yeo Jin Goo according to @SilverMoonTea I still love you, LJW Probably a little much, I might add My weakness for charismatic guys will be my undoing, I swear Also, perfection is overrated Haha, I watched a few episodes in and then forgot about it so I guess I dropped it But yeah, I remember PMY as the crazy fan girl! True, there's always those who will be super protective. I guess it's a mixture of denial (having spent so much time idolising the person they probably just don't want to see the bad things)...and also not wanting their idols to be in trouble/ cancelled/ being attacked by fans/ getting themselves attacked as a fan by other fans who want to protect the idol. Meh, glad I'm not that level of fan girl. I just like to collect/ translate/make sparkly eyes at my dramas Haha I remember hearing about that. The smoking is meh, if you do it, you do it...but I do think it's a bit try-hard to do a live video while smoking? I feel like I'd be weirded out if a friend video called me while smoking...so seeing a famous person do it is even more distasteful because it's like why? I'm not a fan of JCW anyway (though I've watched a bunch of his dramas before, usually for his co-stars). I think the racial controversy with Backstreet Rookie has made him even less palatable for me Might have been another reason why I couldn't get into Lovestruck in the City aside from the interview format. Well, keep me updated. Understandable - first episodes are not great because you're often not attached to the characters or immersed in the world. There are some dramas where I know after the first episode it's never going to grow on me. But for the ones I'm unsure about, my test is if I like it by episode 3 and want to know what's happening, it's in the rotation. Hahaha, I know. He's so pretty But I haven't really felt drawn to the show. I think it's also the fact that I don't watch Chinese dramas...so completely have no idea about the industry except for the main ones like Dilireba....so no idea who that actress is since I didn't watch the episodes properly...only clips on YouTube Wowww...he was skinnier! There is a shower scene??? This is selling the drama now Hope full time work is not burning you out and you're doing ok! Dramas can be weekend downtime Haha, yep from what I've seen, the banter is missing. The clips I saw were very mild Hahaha Thanks! I must introduce you to this HIY fan edit ...The visuals are fine, but it's probably NSFW due to the song which is full of objectifying swears But you need to watch this with the music on loud to fully appreciate HIY: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKMUzGbpnMU/
  17. Hahaha, still just on episode 2, but I'll continue watching when my sister is up to watch again because too chicken to watch by myself I wasn't purposefully looking for Korean Absolute Boyfriend (since, like Boys over Flowers, I don't think I could ever watch it again) but it popped up on Viki for me...Did I see it say that there were 40 EPSIODES?! LOL @SilverMoonTea was not seduced by the apron
  18. Hahaha, glad we found the word! I feel like DA stood up for her secretary mainly because her brother picked on him and she hates her brother. Also, she considers her secretary her property and her brother crossed the line with that. Having less empathy makes her more transactional in her dealings with others...but as her actions do skew towards helping people, she's clearly not a bad person. Just frustrating at times to watch. My feelings towards this drama are a bit like how I felt for Start Up - I like the interesting story-telling and the fact the unique characters being put front and centre over the more stereotypical ones, but I'm not all that invested in the romances though I guess I can see why others are. Can I say I like the bromance between the calm and detached SG and the warm and affectionate YH more? Hehe, they're quite cute If I had to pick between the main couples though, I'm more interested in seeing how YH will get across to DA. More film references. I think this series has been very smart in it's spoofing of classics and pop cultural references:
  19. Also wanted to say a big thanks to @twinkler0415 for saving this video and sharing it It's also on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CKI34qBJPSj/ I couldn't think of a way to edit out those tag symbols. I did credit the original creator, but so far I don't think that Instagrammer is coming back Speaking of fans who Instagram, even though the drama ended awhile ago and some Instagramers stop posting, I noticed one new account pop up that is dedicated solely to DDSSLLS...this doesn't belong to one of you guys, does it? https://www.instagram.com/sunwoojoon.goorara/ Most of their posts are cute things related to the drama that we've all seen before...but I really liked that they found which posts that GAR and LJW 'liked' each other's Instagram pictures...haha, to be honest I never noticed if they interacted on Instagram at all Ah yeah, I forgot to credit Those gifs are from this Tumblr: https://iyeolie.tumblr.com/archive They also made this cute series. I'm not sure what song the lyrics are from though Apparently it's a Harry Styles song. Haha. Not my kind of music, but the lyrics look nice Hahaha, yea, I have to say he was good at pulling a character with so many secrets since he had to have a poker face constantly I did not guess him from the start at all! LJW just has that level of coolness that you can't tell whether he's teasing or being serious...perfect for Jun I would love to see this as a collaboration too...and then if they could just reference their meeting on radio and their connection to GAR, that would be a nice throwback....or they could all catch up together You can definitely see your skills! And wow, that sounds like it would have been an amazing experience! I think it would give you a keen eye for what matches and goes together...a training for developing aesthetics, which not everyone gets a chance to learn I like how you even had an idea of what editorial you wanted for GAR and LJW with their portrayal of Lala and Jun. If they were going to have them appear in their magazines during that period, I wonder why they didn't just bite the bullet and do a full spread with both GAR and LJW ...it would have been such a good promotion...and even romance films with sad endings have been given full photoshoot before, using another Park Bo Young example- she got this photoshoot with her co-star for On Your Wedding Day...Could you imainge GAR and LJW posing like this?? Glad you think so too! Still no official announcements about MGY, LJW or any of the other rumoured cast for Link so far
  20. Heyyyy....did you guys ever watch the behind the scenes by the actor's agencies? I probably looked at a lot of the stuff from VAST (LJW's agency) and Artist Company (GAR's agency) but I never watched the ones by SALT Entertainment (KJH's agency/ Dr Cha)... But damn, I have to say I'm really impressed by SALT ...They actually made 3 Behind the Scenes DDSSLLS vlogs and were ok to feature the other actors' like LJW and GAR in their videos (Don't know if you've noticed, but often the agencies won't feature other actors they don't own...like Artist company will crop out LJW and VAST will crop out GAR! ) In fact, SALT have quite a few vlogs with GAR and KJH....I've chucked this one on my channel since it actually included all 3 of them with LJW too I'm surprised they put in all this effort since KJH was just a mild second lead...it would have been nice if GAR and LJW's agencies had put this much effort in since they were both leads and it was LJW's first leading role!!! No wonder SALT are having so much success with Kim Seon Ho at the moment...they deserve it! Hope you got a good rest! Thanks sooooo much for these edits....hope you know we all loved them and really appreciated your work in making our dream GAR x LJW photoshoot come true! I was really really impressed Hahaha wow, they have been obsessed with grim reapers for awhile! I do like crime dramas, so there's potential there. I feel like now there's quite a body of work for GAR I may want to watch in the coming months. Not sure how I feel about it, but I like hearing your description as it helps me to order my list of what GAR projects to watch. I think he's always going to be known in my mind as Jun's evil dad now since I loved DDSSLLS so much and it was the first time I was conscious of his presence on screen I wonder if he only plays shady characters. I honestly think it'd be more fun to play the villain in dramas...you get to do some pretty ridiculous stuff! I've heard so many good things about My Secret Terrius and Shoping King Louie and it was actually the first dramas that I wanted to check out after DDSSLLS since I liked the style so much and thought I'd miss it. But the ending has made me feel a little bitter about going back....I think eventually I will get over my annoyance at the writer and I'll watch their past works I might get to the point of forgiveness if I really like watching Seo In Guk in his next project. I plan to watch One Day Destruction Entered the Front Door of my House because he's paired up with Park Bo Young who I love. Since he's the title character in Shoping King Louie I'll probably want to see it. Speaking of Park Bo Young, she always gets such pretty photoshoots with her co-stars...I always wish GAR & LJW had gotten a photoshoot like this one...(in spoilers) Thanks for the calm and comforting words! Yeah, I think some people just try to vent their fan frustrations on others...but your quote is very comforting :) It's nice that we're all reasonable fans here who enjoy spazzing over our favourite shows/ actors but peacefully! Haha...I know! I'm not sure when I will ever not be Lala & Jun biased again to be honest...I miss their quirky and fun sweetness quite a bit I agree wholeheartedly. Not many characters and pairing get under my skin the way these two did. I watch so many dramas and though I like a lot of pairings, the truth is that I don't really look up all the additional things about them or write blogs/ sub videos about them. This pair was so magical...And the whole of Eunpo was too. It felt like such a pleasant dream! Except as you say for episode 14 and the middle of episode 16. That was a bit like a nightmare...but we woke up from that! Gotta keep praying to the drama Gods
  21. Hahaha, Thanks! It's probably not as deep as some past loves, but I figured if I've watched all his BTS videos subbed then it's more than casual fling now and I should take responsibility I know right! I was just looking at the puppy. But when I did see, I screenshot this because I remembered our conversation Hahaha, I'm just imagining you staring at his gums close up The account that posted was a fan account...can't decide whether they edited it out because they don't want trouble...or they were in denial about it. I don't think it's a big deal, but I guess some people would be upset. But I do understand celebs trying to maintain the super clean image in Korea....fans are wayyyy harsh and you never know what can become your undoing. In one way, I guess it's good because people try to at least maintain a proper image so less bad influence...in another way it's bad because even if they don't believe in this image, they're forced to do it rigidly and they're less transparent on the whole...and scandals still slip out anyway. I think even doing it for a year or two has it's obvious effects Hmmmm, maybe I'll wait a bit before starting...Rowoon is pretty, but I need more positive reviews to entice me!
  22. Hahaha I was confused because you do have an extensive collection. I assume the oppa in your display picture is him? Hahaha I think this would be too much for me! I can't do Penthouse I think I have a hate-love relationship with revenge dramas. If the person was done a dirty real bad and the revenge is justified and a fun, feel good thing, and cleverly done, I'm all for it...but if the revenge is just bad people being bad to each other and good people suffering as a result, I'd rather not see it happen Yep, I don't really like them...I very, very rarely watch them. It's quite weird since I do like British period dramas...but I think I got put off from when I was younger and watched a lot of Chinese Kingdom drama. They always had concubines who met terrible ends...and lots of plotting and revenge (haha maybe why I don't like revenge dramas)...and I guess it's just put me off for life...I know they're not the same, but the mind generalises with Asian dramas... But never say never. I feel like I've said I don't like many genres (sports, pure romance, horror)...and yet I still continue watching them I did watch Kingdom and that was set in the (fictional) past and loved it. And the plot for Affection does sound good. Also Park Eun Bin and Rowoon Haha I didn't know there was a Korean one. I think I've done my time with the Taiwanese one and Japanese ones years ago! Hahaha, yep! Jasper is doing a romance variety show where pairings write their own dramas....I tried to watch, but was bored with the episodes...have resolved to watching the Jasper bits on Youtube. He always looks so pretty in a suit
  23. Hwang In Yeop made it onto my Oppa list for Jan. Haha, it's his birthday today, so maybe I'm feeling soft I started following an account that subbed his portion of the True Beauty/ 18 Again BTS videos and HIY seems so nice and reserved and gave good advice to someone who was sad about feeling lost in their career. Also since he's a newbie...I've pretty much seen most of his projects so no need to catch up I'm surprised he's already got 5m followers on Instagram?? I think it's the power of playing second lead twice. Maybe it's his ability to pin girls to the wall. gif credit: https://dmsdud8509.tistory.com/ You know, I was not looking for evidence about this, but the potential evidence popped up coincidentally on Instagram a day or so ago. Hahaha, me being me, I follow all the main LJW accounts on socials. I liked this picture below since it's him playing with a cute puppy and I think I was looking at the comments to see which project it was behind the scenes for...and lo and behold, eagle eyed fans had questions about the box on top of his phone The account actually took the photo down and edited it out before reposting, which I find weird since the original photo is obviously still floating around the net? I put the picture in the spoiler tag for context (and not to be killed). Meh, it's a vice, but as long as it's not an act from the forbidden list, LJW is still an Oppa to me ....Also, he's playing with a dog and it's cuteee Did I tell you that I started Sweet Home? 2 Episodes in so far...not as scary as I thought (though I still hug a cushion and make my sister watch also). Not super invested yet, but the characters are interesting! I'm still watching This is me also....actually once The Uncanny Counter ends, all my live shows will be romances...but Sunbae, don't put on that lipstick is probably the most pure romance of them all. We'll see how we go...
  24. It's Hwang In Yeop's birthday today And he's 30 but still playing a high schooler Hahaha, my favourite scene of this whole drama has been the dumpling scenes btw. So silly, but funny: Gif credits: https://heyum07.tistory.com/m/437 Glad you're joining us!
  25. I'm yet to write my opinions on the last few episodes. But just a quick note on this: I feel like with episodes 13 and 14, the pacing is definitely faster...but does anyone else feel like the flow between events/ scenes has become a bit choppy and some of the events happen a little too easily? I can't tell if it's because it's further in the story (so of course more events happening quickly) or it's now really picking up more scenes from the webtoon, whereas before it wasn't or because you can really see the difference with writer change? I also feel like there's less of that playful humour that we've had the whole way through (though again, I can't tell if it's been because a lot of tense events happened in these last 2 episodes that it wouldn't make sense to include humour) In any case, I'm quite invested and I love the counter family and pretty much all the characters, so of course will continue watching...but I'm also really sensitive to drama pacing and I'm hoping it still keeps some of the good things from before
