  1. True, it is harder to let go under this circumstances, no premonition and WJ/HJ just up and left. The self-directed blame will likely happened especially taking into account both Hannah and AHS's personality and love for the 2 cheaters. If it was the other way around, WJ/HJ who were left without any word, it would have been different and both will instead get angry at the one who left and can easily let go. But going back to AHS and GHW, maybe it was also easier for AHS to stop is coz he has his kids to focus on and they need him. I mean GHW lost hers, hence even that she needed to untie. I rmb the bar owners words towards Haewon's Mom (kudos to her for apologising and owning up to her crimes), even if she was also a victim but she still did commit the wrongdoings, hence she should pay for it so she can start fresh. This has always been the issue with HJ and her inability to grasp the concept of owning up to one's mistake, which runs in the family from the Grandma to even AHS. The video upload issue with JY and Lisa, they just don't go to the bottom of everything and just sweeps it under the rug and solves the problem favouring Lisa. And Lisa knows it, hence even till the end (and with what she went through and lost) we can still see a bratty and a girl who comes across as knowing that she can get away with everything.
  2. I'll point the arrow to WJ as being the most toxic and the one that I am really pissed. I know most here would have the disclaimer saying that all of them are toxic, but then just single out all the bad deeds (or presume ones) by HW or selfishness of HJ, and just sympathy for WJ's confusion.
  3. Just got surprised when I read the current entries, as there seems to be an overwhelming consideration for WJ here. Personally, I just don't get it. It just comes across as wanting to lessen guilt of HJ and WJ compared to HW, so nitpicking on HW's conversation and action to WJ when they seemed straightforward and in context with time and typical human reaction.
  4. I guess this page is starting to become Woojae and Heejoo are the least culpable character in the series. Wow, just seriously?!?!?!? Everyone here is just so ready to try and "underhandedly" defend Woojae on the slightest nudge by HW. Can she not say those words of blame when she is in the middle of her fear, confusion and grief at the hospital? So, HW in the midst of her confusion should think logically and blame herself that she wasn't clear in her instruction to WJ? She should watch her mouth and not say anything to a forever sullen and lost-looking WJ, coz it would hurt him and make it more confusing for him? Just because Woojae looks so sad and "lost", then he is less to blame for his past and current actions? So, Haewon is the crux of evil coz she cannot move on and leave Woojae and Heejoo alone? The same people who blindsided her and just left her hanging to blame herself and whatever else she endured. She found out about the whole betrayal in what I am assuming just a year - so if she wants revenge on them by wanting for them to feel the same pain as hers, is that not allowed within the timeline of her awareness of the betrayal? Yes, it was old acts of betrayal, as it was years ago, but it is still considered as acute betrayal coz the knowledge of it was just recent. So yeah, kinda understand why she is still in the middle of the stages -Anger. It would be a herculean task to let go of the bitterness in her heart, if you've only had a short time to put together the pieces and process all the years wasted. As for what HW wants from them, she already told both HJ and WJ. She wants HJ to feel the same pain, and WJ to be held down and pine forever. If if I were WJ and did all these cowardly and conscious acts of hurt and destruction to others, and my punishment is to figure it out, then WJ has it easy.
  5. There was an article though saying that they will deviate from the novel's ending. Not sure which aspect they'll deviate from. The bar scene with HJ and HW addressed some parts of how HW might have acted if they just told her...... when she said they were the two most precious people to her, and if HJ just told HW about her and WJ, she would have let WJ go to be with her. As for WJ not telling HW anything from maybe him falling out of love to the affair, is just a blatant disregard to HW, not even as a fiancee but just someone whom you shared years with. And at the core of that is also his selfishness, just like HJ. If he told her at the least that he is alive, then she could have at least save herself the years of trying to find him and the attached self-blame. If he went further and told her that he is in love with HJ and they are together, then HW could have at least been given the chance to move on. Also the husband, Hyeon-Seong, he seems to really love HJ. And she's lucky there coz she has a support system.
  6. WJ: I'm late aren't I HW: For disappearing on me? Or for not calling for the past four years when you were alive and well? WJ: I'll tell you everything once I get there and apologise properly. HW: So you want me to wait for you again? HW: If I wait for you, will you come? Just based on this phone call, I am certain that HW really had no idea of WJ and HJ nor of WJ staying in Ireland. I am thinking either WJ just up and vanished without a word OR he asked for that ever vague "SPACE" without saying anything nor releasing HW. And it seems the second one might be it just coz the second part of the convo.... "so you want me to wait for you AGAIN?" And that infuriates me more. Hope can be paralysing. Sometimes the most humane act that one can do is to release others from clinging to that glimmer of hope if he knows that he won't reciprocate and she deserves better. It is on the same vein as HJ's action, but using a softer approach. Though at the end of the day, it is the same thing - both want it all and unable to let go coz of different motivation, maybe HJ is just greed and selfishness, while WJ is cowardice. I'm big on closure (tmi :)), hence these particular coward actions pisses me off. P.S. Just read your timeline entry.....and WOW!!!!!!!! He just really vanished without a word. Just heartless!!!!!!!!
  7. Just curious...... I thought BLWL was a relatively successful weekend drama, why did he have a hard time? Was his character a difficult one? I admit I have a generalise view on weekend dramas as they seemed to film longer, hence actors become closer; and then characters they portray are most of the time run of mill. With ROY, I lean towards remorse/accountability in judging who is the worst of the bunch as they are all doing shady things. Hence, HJ wins this for me and WJ might be a close second as I am not yet certain on his "amnesia". HJ is just unapologetic and everything that she did hurting others are NOT her fault, the blame lays on the other party. As for WJ, just heartless to just up and leave without a single word, it was like sentencing HW to torture - a slow and painful one. And then he can just forget?!?? Nope, not enough for me. As for HW, she'd have a hard time with her revenge as WJ is still her weakness. She really need a long and exhausting therapy.
  8. On HW's monologue before she saw HJ's poster by the street side, she mentioned that they just disappeared. No explanations, no words...... He was a sunbae, fiancee and HJ was a friend..... the least that they (or he) could have done was tell her.... Hey, I'm alive and well but leaving you. Such heartless people, and they were her friends or so she thought. Also, HW does have an awareness that WJ was the one who ruined her, but I wonder if there is more that HJ directly did to her. We haven't seen how she got her injury and that particular incident. I do wonder if the incident is just the 2 disappearing for a while, or there is more "action" involved. We usually get these scenes in movies, for dramas it is the morning after scene that we get. So yeah, them insuatininng the deed and not the aftermath, it is R19 for k-drama standards. I honestly hope she just needs closure coz she was left hanging. But then again, we won't have a 16 episodes if that will be the case.
  9. That was also my first thought, WJ and HW were in a relationship, but seems WJ fell in love with HJ along the way. Just that WJ and HW's interaction from flashbacks are too platonic, but then again if theirs is a long-term one could be. Anyways, it stills smells like betrayal and/or used by both and discarded as trash, which can really make one seek revenge especially if those who hurt her were never apologetic and even living well. Also, Shin Dong Wook's Sun Woo is also an interesting character, as unlike his sister he seems able to "feel" remorse. And, him and HW are just so broken. HJ can be at times pitiful, but somehow I don't think she is and will be broken anytime soon, she gives gives me that impression.
  10. I'm getting curious with how the story will unfold, as we get bits and pieces. I do wonder if Woojae-Heejoo relationship came first, and when that fell apart, Woojae "used" Haewon in the process of wanting HJ to be jealous or he just doesn't care whomever he is with. But if that is the case, timeline doesn't seem to align. Episode 3 highlighted how bratty Heejoo's kids are, and somehow Heejoo's skewed views as well. I mean Haewon brought it upon herself coz she introduced Woojae to her?
  11. I knew him more for his variety persona, hence I was really shocked with all that came out. Variety shows are very tricky as it the easiest way to get close to the general public, but image perception is also stronger. Hence, if a lily-white persona was established (whether consciously or unconsciously) through a well-loved variety show, the expectation is greater. I just really feel bad to the ex, HCCC crew and casts (as they seem to be receiving a whiplash effect) and 1N2D. But seriously, 1N2D might need to do a detailed exorcism of some sort.
  12. I'm usually not into this type of drama, but wanted to give ROY a watch for Shin Hyun Been, and it was an interesting watch. Personally, I did like the way that they set-up the premises and mysteries. And maybe I am a biased viewer, but theorising about the possible background, I kinda understand why Hae Won deserves the revenge that she is exacting. As of now, these are fun speculations: Hae Won- I am actually hoping that she lost her light not just coz of Woo Jae, but something more. Two possibilities that I can think off with regards to the arm injury: Her arm injury could possibly be related to the HJ/WJ incident OR the it was a result of her suicide attempts. The arm injury could be extensive enough that it hindered her Art. If she lost both her fiancee, physical injury, and community standing (in her convo she mentioned that she was unable to graduate to her original university coz of what happened).... then her revenge makes sense to me. Cafe conversation with HJ and HW - I was with Hae Won when she mentioned Lisa's treatment of her friend, just the entitlement and disrespect for others is infuriating. It just seeps through MIL, Husband (?), kids and glimpses of it with HJ. Woo Jae- I read a character description where he is basically living in the shadows of his famous sculptor father. And looking at that ep. 2 ending, it already seems he already fell out of love with Hae Won and might have been interested with Hee Joo by then. I think HJ reciprocates his interest, and as the age of the "bratty" son is a suspect, hence there might be something there.
  13. If GHJ got involved between Goo Hae Won and Seo Woo Jae in the past, and that caused the death and misery of the two. Then, I wonder how they will make Jeong Hee Joo still sympathetic to the viewers or will they just go full-on villain/selfish GHJ? If the premise was really JHJ messing with the young GHW, then I can sympathise with Hae Won wanting revenge in the present.
  14. Yes, all couple were together. I guess it was just the imbalance between expectation and reality. There was just a part of me that wanted to see at least one significant milestone from Wingar. Yeah, we were told and such (Meet the Mom, Gyeoul knows DLL, USA together), but part of me wanted to see it. Since together with Bidulgi, the semi-angst with them was drama-standard long. We were discussing it over on twitter and maybe the news article of Lee Il Hwa cameo also increased the expectation. I was guilty that my imagination run with it and immediately thought of Mama Rosa-Gyeoul garden conversation in S1 and I thought JW will mirror that in S2. My mind was even thinking of the Chilbong meta. But all good now, I can just read FF, and hoping against hope that we get S3.
