The identity of the real culprit behind 'The First Responders' is shocking. SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'The First Responders' (script written Min Ji Eun, directed by Shin Kyung Soo) brings out the excitement of the 'K-Investigation Drama' to the fullest by providing rapid development and soaring tension until the very end.

 

Above all, in the last 10 episode, Kim Hyun Seo (Lee So I), who disappeared 7 years ago, appeared in the emergency room covered in blood, and it was revealed that the person who kidnapped Kim Hyun Seo was the head nurse Kwak Kyung Joon (Heo Ji Won), whom she had repeatedly encountered at the hospital.

 

In this regard, as we catch glimpses of utter chaos and goosebumps scenes of Kwak Kyung Joon in early episodes who showed his face next to Jin Ho Gae (Kim Rae Won);

It turns out that Kwak Kyung Joon was with Jin Ho Gae almost every moment he was in the hospital, and even at the scene of a crucial operation where life and death went back and forth, he wasn't feeling quite right. Jin Ho Gae had a life-and-death duel with Mae Hwa (Lee Do Yeop), had the worst moment of cardiac arrest, and she headed to the operating room as soon as she arrived at the hospital. In particular, at the moment when Jin Ho Gae's life was in danger, it became known that Kwak Kyung Joon was the person holding his blood pack in the operating room.

 

#"Haven't we met somewhere else?"  Revealing the bare face in front of Jin Ho Gae in the last 10 episode, he showed the boldness of greeting to him first. I am still watching, but not a priority. Dunno why but lately I feel it’s not as engaging. Kinda tired of the repetitive explosive nature of Jin Ho Gae. The case involving the 7yr ago missing Hyun So is quite painful to watch. That psycho guy was so cruel to her 😭 and she developed sort of a Stockholm Syndrome, believing he is her father. It’s so sad when it was revealed she saw JHG refusing to answer her call 😭

SBS Friday and Saturday drama “The First Responders” (script written by Min Ji Eun, director by Shin Kyung Soo) Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon finished Season 1. According to Nielsen television audience Measurement Company, on Saturday “The First Responders”  known for its fast and continuous plot ended its first season with over 10.9 percent viewing rate which aired its last episode on December 30 recorded 12.3 percent of viewing rate.

 

Throughout the last episode, story of protagonists Jin Ho Gae, acted by Kim Rae Won and Bong Do Jin acted by Son Ho Jun who stumbles into life threatening event trying to catch the serial arson was showcased.

 

After hearing about the whereabouts of potential suspect of serial arson Jin Ho Gae and Bong Do Jin heads straight to the parking tower to catch the arson.

 

Jin Ho Gae heads to the scene in order to catch the suspect and Bong Do Jin heads into the ventilation fan in order to take out the fire however as soon as the backup climbed up the ladder in order to reach the ventilation a huge explosion followed by huge tower of fire shoots up to the sky.

 

Despite of endless wait both protagonists are nowhere to be found and to worsen the situation the ladder which was placed so that in case both protagonists are still alive could use to get out of the scene gets destroyed so the aftermath and whether they are alive or not became a mystery.

 

“The First Responders” uses fresh and unique theme and idea of joint operation between fire department and the police department.

 

Protagonist Jin Ho Gae who becomes super engaging detective when he faces suspect and will do anything to catch and firefighter Bong Do Jin who carries over 20 kgs of equipment to fight against fire are portrayed as very attractive character and the bromance showcased between both characters are another merit of the series.

 

Most importantly, the speedy play through of the story line was praised upon. A lot of positive reviews featured how “The First Responders” speedy way of carrying out the story line by successfully managed to interest the audience throughout the series.

“The Police Station Next To The Fire Station” literal title “The First Responders” will return with Season 2 in August. 

 

Season 2 of SBS Friday-Saturday “The First Responders” which will be broadcast for the first time in August (script written by Min Ji Eun, directed by Shin Kyung Soo) for SBS's “The First Responders” is a drama about members of the police force, fire department, and paramedic team as they come together to help their city in any way they can. Season 1 started airing last November and concluded its 12-episode run at the end of the year.

 

Above of all, screenwriter Min Ji Eun began working on the Season 2 script even while Season 1 was still airing. The main cast, including Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun and Gong Seung Yeon all took a quick rest before diving back in to filming for Season 2.

 

Actors such as Kim Rae Won will return as Jin Ho Gae, a stubborn detective, while Son Ho Jun will continue in his role as bravery firefighter Bong Do Jin, a “bulldozer” who knows no fear when faced with fire. Gong Seung Yeon will return as paramedic Song Seol who physically heals her patients while simultaneously touching their hearts.

 

The translation of the official Season 2 title is “The Police Station Next To The Fire Station And The National Forensic Service.” Season 2 will draw out the upgraded teamwork between the fire department that catches fire, the police force that catches crime, and the National Forensic Service (NFS) that catches evidence as they face unprecedented events.

 

The presentative team commented, “The Police Station Next To The Fire Station And The National Forensic Service' is a project that will once again demonstrate the strengths of writer Min Ji Eun, who captured cooperation between the National Forensic Service and the police in the 'Partners for Justice' series.”

 

They added, “The fight of the police, firefighters, and NFS chasing a serial arsonist, a crime that does not stop as long as there is oxygen, will deliver thrilling catharsis to viewers. We ask for lots of anticipation.”

 

Meanwhile, Season 2 of “The First Responders” will premiere this August.
