I actually cant believe we have survived the wait this long....2020 almost ends and will HP season 2 start in early 2021. 

 

Ahhh...rewatch ep 10 to 12...i still have to do it -.- actually the last 3 eps have most the IkSong moments i like

Just finished re-watching ep 10. Here are some of my thoughts:

 

I know that people have been comparing IkSong to JongSu-Rosa, but after re-watching up to ep 10, there's another couple that is also very similar to IkSong. Seok Min- Seon Bin!  In the past episode, it was shown that SM-SB also spent considerable amount of time eating together (just the two of them). In ep 10, somehow I felt Seok Min's character is similar to IJ: the outgoing and proactive one; later on he's also the one who confessed first. Seon Bin on the other hand is a bit like SongHwa - she's more passive and seems like the 'cool' one in the relationship; later on I also felt that at first she either wasn't sure about her feeling or she was unwilling to start anything? 

 

During JongSu-Rosa car scene, JongSu advised Rosa to let 'time' solve her problem and not to force herself to face it right then and there. This perhaps is what SHwa was unconsciously trying to do when she decided to go to Sokcho in the next ep??? 

 

Why oh why I suddenly have a feeling that SHwa's answer on IJ's question will be a 'no' .... I suppose if it's a 'yes' straightaway  then there won't be any excitement watching this pair anymore? 

 

My fav scenes: 

IJ's expression when he saw SHwa slept next to Woo Joo   

IJ-SHwa's eating breakfast - somehow I felt both happy and sad when watching this scene. It's like IJ somehow realised that SHwa wasn't reciprocating his feeling~~

I feel like SH might be non-committal for much of Season 2. If they get together, it will likely be end of the season, which means she won't give a definite answer till the end so that viewers will keep watching lol

Although I don't think I like the prospect of being angsty throughout s2...but unfortunately I must agree with what you said. Oh my poor heart... LOL

I too think the same that the most possible answer that SHwa gives to him is either a straight no, or doesn't bring that talk ever with him unless he ask it again. She definitely needs time to process her feelings, whether she still have feelings for IJ as a man, or there's no other feeling than as close friends which almost like a family member. 

 

Even if SHwa say yes, it's not easy either to move from friends to couple. With IJ status as divorced man with child, people will talk and ask SHwa's decision in her choice of partner. And then what is the goal of their relationship? Will they just only date or will they take it serious? SHwa's priority up until now is her career as neurosurgeon and her patients.  Is she ready to commit and build a family? What about IJ? His first marriage ended badly, is he ready to commit for another relationship? 

 

This is just my wish but I hope Writer Lee will focus more on the life of the doctors as a person and will decrease a bit about the hospital life and their patients. We can learn many things from the patients and their guardian and reflect it with our lives (that's one of the biggest part that I love from Season 1), but we hardly see the human side of our leads as a normal person. We need more POV from SHwa and the other members of Mi Do and Parasol

I also feel as if SHwa is going to say no at the start of the Season 2, even if it's because she's so surprised. I was hoping that as we saw IJ falling (again) for SHwa in Season 1, we may come to see SHwa falling for IJ in Season 2. Both IJ and SHwa have been in other serious relationships before, though SHwa didn't go as far as getting married.

 

I think the only way I'll be disappointed is if IJ and SHwa decide not to be a couple at all by the end of Season 2, especially since CH is out of the picture now. And, I will be really irritated if yet another male character is introduced who develops a crush on SHwa.

 

Honestly, though this isn't the thread for it, I'm more curious about what will happen to SeokHyung since I think his development isn't as clear going forward, plus it looks as if his ex-wife will enter the drama and be a provocateur of some kind?

 

But, I have few doubts that IJ and SHwa will end up together. They're already such a cute defacto couple!

I think I'm in the minority but for some reasons I'm rooting SeokHyeong to go back to his ex wife (but this is of course can change depending on what kind of character his wife has). Ooo..who knows they cast another famous actress to fill the role of his ex?)

Yes, I think that part of the romantic tension for season 2 will be the SlowBurn couple, so if they got together too soon, that might be anticlimactic, and they would have to use more flashbacks to show us how they became a couple since they haven't really shown us how SHwa feels about IJ at all yet. I would like to see more of how SHwa feels before they are confirmed as a couple.

I don't know if I have a preference as to who SH ends up with. His marriage does not seem to have been a love match, but rather a marriage that was arranged by his family. And, then the marriage ended because of problems with SH's family?

 

So, I can see whether SH is able to build a relationship with his ex-wife and fall in love with her this time. Or I can see him being with someone as bright and fierce as MH. So, I think that this one is truly a mystery to be revealed in Season 2, including who the actual players are, if any.

 

And, btw, I know that this is a shipping thread which is why I'm here talking about romantic angles. As in the first season, I suspect that the romances will be only one element of a lot of things going on, including episodic cases.

@LaLa that really is awesome - the transition i mean  I watched last special ep (the BTS one)..but honestly I couldn't really find any IkSong crumbs :( I mean SongHwa smiled and then waved to Woo Joo but it wasn't really telling anything in relation to IkSong haha. Love that ep though...nice to see how they did everything BTS

I once talked with a friend wishing Netflix would also put subtitle when BGM is playing in the background.... because usually in dramas... BGM/Ost plays a role in depicting the current scene...

just like on Ep 10. when "Beautiful My Love" appears after Ikjun says spending time with SongHwa is something he considers a treat for himself .....

The way she giggles at Ik Joon and waving at Woo Joo and then her sleeping scenes with Woo Joo were the crumbs that I thought. Hahaha 

We got another crumbs for special ep 21 between Woo Joo and Song Hwa. As fans in twitter said, Woo Joo has lots of action with Song Hwa than Ik Joon has XP

Old k-drama fans/watchers are missing the days where the subbers translate the song that used as BGM. The feelings and emotion that you will feel while watching that scene while also understanding why instead of conversation they use the song to describe the emotion of the characters were kind of lost since the subbers now aren't translating the song. 

Thanks to more than a decade watching dramas and learning the language a little, I can understand the lyrics and when I watched this part live back then, I was totally swoon by it  I couldn't belief that Ik Joon really confess his feelings straightly like that. And the BGM choice made me belief the choice I made in shipping this couple since ep 1 didn't wrong and hopefully they will sail safely until the end.

Crumbs founded for IkSong Ship in special episodes 22.

 

In episode 2, we're shown how SHwa met IJ at the basement parking lot. He overheard her conversation with her mom that her ex was cheating on her and IJ praised her good vocalization. What shown in the actual episode was no smiling SHwa, while the cut scenes, we saw that SHwa smiles while answering IJ. I think she knew he wants to tease her but that smile
