Baek Cheol Hui is a father who hides his special ability.

I've watched the first two. Very quirky, yet interesting. I don't know where the story will take us, but I'm willing to find out. I'm not sure who to summon. 🤔 I'll summon @SilverMoonTea because she's a wild card, and might appreciate it... 😆

yeah, only 6 episodes. I was so sad when I saw that information. I had already watched episodes 1 and 2.

I recommend everyone to wait for all episodes to air before watching. This drama will air one episode every Friday. Each episode ends on a major cliffhanger. I should have waited for episodes 3 and 4 to air and then binge it—my mistake for watching it before.  Now I must wait for next Friday and will be on edge until then.

Argh, the cliffhanger at the end of episode 3!

 

Omma's (Bae Doona) power is really strong. At first, they made it look like she's good at hypnosis (brain hacking), but episode 3 revealed it's more than that. If we go by X-Men's definition, my guess is she can control minds. I can't call her telepath yet, because she hasn't shown she could read minds.

 

I wonder what power Appa has now. And Grandpa.

 

The son (Park Solomon/Lomon) seems to be good at hacking. The daughter is said to be good at fighting. But surely they have some other supernatural powers.

 

3 episodes down. 3 more to go.

@ktcjdrama No iron fist. Hahaha! He is just well-trained in combat, I think. But, can be on the extreme side, because he taught his son to break free from the ropes by twisting his wrist/breaking the bone. Eww.

 

@UnniSara episode 4 is out. I watched it last night. Two more left. Not sure if they can fully complete the story-telling. Looks like a potential S2 kind of storyline at this stage.

I have a theory. I plan on binge watching tomorrow and will write detailed theory that has come to mind . With my theory, I will be sharing GIfs so everyone else can theorize with me if they are interested

Family Plan / Family Matter

I prefer the name Family Plan. Special Training Battalion stattted off on child trafficking and training these adolescents children. During that time, they may have experimented on these children. then these children manifested special abilities. This Battalion has many casualties and successes stories. 
Young Su is one of their success stories. She has got Baek an admirer and we saw young Youn Su use her abilities to control Baek. Young Su is a great soldier but also defiant at times. She does understand love, hate, anger and fear. She even found a father figure, O still don’t know how she got Mr Baek to follow them after leaving the compound.

Me too. Not understanding the ending. Something lost in the translation? But hearing the words, it is indeed Family Planning... Is the Omma planning to train more outside the secret compound? Like getting Yeong Su to be the master trainer? 

 

Yes, a lot of violence and gore. I was wincing and grimacing while watching ep.6... I need an explanation though, how the Dad, though stabbed many times, is able to be just fine? We're talking about special abilities not in the sense of supernatural, right? These are just normal human beings trained specially, no? I am now confused... LOL

I think the drama is multi-seasonal, so they "did not bother" to give us too much information all at once. Amongst them, I think only Young Soo has supernatural ability because no normal humans could be trained to do what she can.

 

As for the husband, I'm not really sure what his ability is apart from good at combating. Perhaps his real ability is regeneration, but in a much slower style than Wolverine. Shrugs. I was hoping to see Grandpa's power, but I don't identify any. He's just a sly fox skilled with using a hidden weapon.

 

In the last episode, they talked about "awakening". I'd think that meant they do have some supernatural abilities awaiting to be awakened.

 

Yeah, the nail right through her palm etc. Ack. Not a fan but watchable. Seriously dislike this kind of seasonal formatting. It made me wish I did not pick it up until it has ended. I was hoping it'd be a sweet and quick 6-episodes. I don't mind S2 if the wait is not too long.
