In the seventh episode of the cable channel tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama "Queen Iron Man" (written by Park Gye-ok, Choi I, directed by Yoon Sung-sik, Jang Yang-ho), which aired on the afternoon of the 2nd , Kim So-yong (Shin Hye-sun) managed to recover from the situation. As Jang Bong-hwan (Choi Jin-hyuk), who was lying in the hospital, faced a crisis, Kim So-yong also collapsed. Later, Jang Bong-hwan regained consciousness, and while traveling between present and Joseon, he woke up again with Kim So-yong.

 

Jang Bong-hwan, who was lying in the hospital, faced a crisis due to Han (Lee Chul-min). Han tried to remove Jang's respirator. At the same time, Kim So-yong (played by Shin Hye-sun) also lost consciousness and collapsed. The palace was turned upside down when she collapsed.

Jo Daebi, who was performing the exorcism, was eventually discovered by Queen Sunwon and had to beg for her life again.

Kim Byung-in (Nine Woo) provoked Kim, saying, "I will show you the real face of Cheol-jong after learning that Kim So-yong is in critical condition." Kim Byung-in visited Kim So-yong and took out a knife that threatened to withdraw with the soldiers. He offered to take Kim So-yong. Chul-jong did not watch Kim Byung-in's provocation.

Kim So-yong regained consciousness at her chambers. Kim So-yong, who came to the ceremony, found out that she had returned to Joseon, and was fortunate to be able to move. Kim So-yong met her father Kim Moon-geun (Jeon Bae-soo), who wanted to avoid hearing that he was at his home. Kim So-yong told Kim Moon-geun to treat her like a daughter.

 

Jang Bong-hwan, who woke up with Kim So-yong, began searching for Kim So-yong's memory, adding to the tension. In addition, Cheoljong revealed his hidden appearance, signaling a gradual change.

I love the cousin, he is positively dashing. I can understand why he loathes The King so much. The King isn't exactly a loving model husband to The Queen anyway. His action of defending The Royal Concubine in public and chose to carried her instead of The Queen is totally humiliating The Queen. Well, can't totally blames The King too..... Each of them has a solid reason for their action.

 

The highlight of episode 7 is the confrontation between The King and The Royal Cousin. Both are awesome!! The King is a total lover boy, his mask will only slip off when his women were threaten....

I'm a bit sad that there's no more Choi Jin Hyuk's voiceover. If the show is to go ahead with a loveline between So Yong and Cheoljong then I know it is inevitable that Bong Hwan and So Yong have to co-exist and accept the King and Queen cannot do "no touch"

Well, today episode shows that JBH and KSY are totally merging. She was mesmerized when The King walked toward her with the wind petals effects and gave her the bouquet. She was fangirling so hard when The King kicked the "intruder". She was even enjoying the kiss. She is a goner....

 

They aren't "No Touch" couple anymore but "Do Touch".....

This is an interesting theory, that Bong Hwan is actually the reincarnation of So Yong, and thus they are the same soul.

 

Otherwise, I feel so sorry for Bong Hwan for losing everything, including his voice now. Though, I assume that So Yong will remember her/his Bong Hwan skills and attitude?

 

Anyway, I guess merging Bong Hwan and So Yong really is the only way for this to be a romantic comedy, but it's still a rather messed up premise, imo.

Mr. Queen is a creative adaptation of Go Princess Go.  GPG is a super popular satire/parody of a historical drama and a hot mess from the start to the end (boobies and crotch displayed blatantly, openly homosexual relationship, dialog choked full with innuendos etc) Because of GPG, China started to regulates the future drama. I have to say that Mr. Queen is a mega classy of GPG adaptation...

 

My take is JBH started "losing" himself because The King started to falls for The Queen. His love "resurrected" the dormant Queen who decided to takes her own life because The King rejected her. It's a romance drama anyway.....The formula will always be "love conquers all", "the winner is love" etc etc plus Mr. Queen threw in childhood romance....Nothing can top that.....

I like how this scene is filmed. It is also sad to learn that bouncing on this see-saw was a way for the womenfolk to "see" the world outside the palace - wonder if this is true. We also see that JBH is starting to empathise with the people in this era. But he's still an ass lol.

 

 

By the way, my video uploads on Youtube of Mr Queen is doing miles better than Hyun Bin! 😂🤣 There's 100,000 views in 3 weeks for that sex education scene! People seem to love the show.

I am fascinated by the parade of Binyeo (the huge fat hairpin the royal ladies wore) in this drama. Love it a lot so I did bit of research. Binyeo had a special meaning for women of Korea during ancient time. A woman who removed her Bienyeo meant she would lose her fidelity and dignity. That's why The King was totally shaken when he saw The Queen's Binyeo on the stone beside the lake.

 

Also by presenting a Binyeo to a woman, a man was asking for marriage as Binyeo is also a symbol of love. So when The King gave her back her Binyeo on the bending knee, he is serious in his intention about marriage with her. But JBH was all triggered in a bad way with the words "first day".....
