Most of my anticipated K dramas have already been nominated by others...

 

I am certainly looking forward to the 4th iteration of the Medical Examiner Dr Qin franchise. The first is still the best but I did enjoy the third.

 

Title: Medical Examiner Dr Qin: Corpse Whisperer

Category: C drama

Synopsis: When Qin Ming was seven, he went to the seaside with his parents. During their time there, his parents are found dead and his mother is holding on to a copper button. This heralds the beginning of Qin Ming's lifelong search for the truth behind his parent's death.

The trailer has been out for over two years so yeah... it's a bit of a mystery when it will be shown. Good, bad or indifferent I'll be watching.

Because of a war between mafia groups, he flees to South Korea. In South Korea, he gets involved with Lawyer Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin). She is the type of attorney who will do anything to win a case. Vincenzo Casano falls in love with her. He also achieves social justice by his own way.

 

He joins forces with Hong Cha Young to take down villains by using villainous methods. It is a story of dark heroes who achieve catharsis by getting rid of villains who cannot be touched by the law.

 

Jang Joon Woo (Taecyeon), an intern lawyer who comes from abroad and dreams of being Hong Cha Young’s James Bond.

Actually, I may not watch any new drama this year due to something else I would like to finish. 🙂 Even if I was looking forward to two or three, wherein one is done filming months ago, and the other two aren't yet as far as I know.

Joseon Exorcist

When Prince Lee Bang-Won of Joseon patrolled the northern region, he faced an evil spirit which wanted to dominate human beings. Prince Lee Bang-Won was able to seal away the evil spirt.

 

Now, Lee Bang-Won has ascended to the throne and has taken the title of King Taejong (Kam Woo-Sung). He is cool-headed, but a powerful king. King Taejong is proud of the fact that he helped his father establish the Joseon dynasty. He also feels heavy guilt from killing so many people during the founding of Joseon. The evil spirit which King Taejong sealed away in the past resurrects itself on the land of Joseon. To seal the evil spirit away, King Taejong must again fight the evil spirit.

 

Meanwhile, King Taejong has sons Crown Prince Yangnyeong (Park Sung-Hoon) and Prince Chungnyeong (Jang Dong-Yoon). Prince Chungnyeong’s only interest is to learn academics. He suddenly faces a crisis caused by the evil spirit. To protect the people of Joseon, Prince Chungnyeong jumps into the war against the evil spirt.

 

Crown Prince Yangnyeong seems full of confidence. He actually lives with chronic anxiety over whether he will be recognized by his father King Taejong. He tries to be recognized by his father, but his actions never seem good enough. Nevertheless, King Taejong has a strong desire to have his first son Crown Prince Yangnyeong become the next king. Greed then consumes Crown Prince Yangnyeong to enter into a contract with the evil spirit.

The current Emperor of Northern Xuan passes away, and Li Feng ascended the throne as the new Emperor. However his foundation is not yet stable. Now I don't know whether I should nominate Ji Jin Hee ahjussi (Undercover), or Ji Sung (Devilish Judge). And there's this interesting drama with Jung Hae In (D.P Dog Day) and Lee Jae Hoon (Taxi). @im0202 You want to pick one? HAHAHAHHAHA . And @abs-oluteM I'm surprised you didn't nominate your oppa Lee Joon Hyuk's drama... Dark Hole? HAHA.

For me , Dark Hole , Monthly House & Youth Of May  are my most anticipated dramas......but here I chose Jirisan because I foresee this to be a hit domestically & internationally . And I think perhaps more peeps on our site will be watching .

Dahh JinXinSiYu... yes!! I’m waiting for that too... and Zhang Binbin’s ghost theme drama Rattan altho I don't think many people will watch Rattan lol..... 

 

Tbh as of right now.. I don’t think many of drama’s that i’m excited about would air this year. They are all 2022 lineup: Victim game2, Ashin of the North, alice in borderland 2, sweet home 2 (I suddenly remember these 4 are on

netlfix LOL), Wind Blowing in luoyang (another WYb drama LOL), The Bond, and perhaps Silent Reading (BL based police drama but IDK, it depends on the script), and lastly Romance of Tiger and Rose2

 

Oh.. there is one from K-section in 2021 lineup that I’m excited about: Hospital Playlist 2
