So was Yo Han's story about the fire true? 👀 The people he seems to be going after are accounted for:

• Fireman, who stole Isaac's watch but did not try to help him and Elijah even after seeing him alive and under the rubble.
• Minister of Law - God, they really made her a b****! Not only did she push the bench that injured Elijah's legs, she further stepped on it to run out without trying to save the girl. It was not difficult to just carry the girl out together - any decent human being would have done so. Not surprised that she sacrificed her son.
• President - will Yo Han be going after him next? He pushed him to the side so that he was delayed from going into the church to save his brother.
• The rest - they didn't try to save anyone but it was also not shown that they caused anyone extra harm except to occupy space in the ambulance or take up the medic's time from helping others more seriously injured.

 

Social Responsibility Foundation - I guess this is Yo Han's target. You can see his disgust at all these rich and powerful people who purport to help the people but are, in reality, stepping on them. It's no wonder that he cancelled the donation. The question is, was Sun Ah already in control of SRF then? She was not in the church... could she have set the fire because she wanted the donation earlier? Was SRF her brainchild or did she happen to "inherit" it along the way - she has mentioned her hard life and she seems to take great exception to being considered "dirtied"... I hope she turns out to be the great villian of this drama and there is NO romance between Yo Han and her lol!

 

Ga On - he is a naive and impressionable young chap, who feels so righteous, who seems to believe what he is told and what he can see. Don't judges have to ask questions and analyse information before they arrive at a conclusion? Smh. Let's hope his role improves.

 

Flagellation! Hahaha! That was totally unexpected. 30 flogs vs eg 2 years in jail - what would you choose?

 

Though "cruel" because it is thought to be a barbaric practice, I thought flogging with a pole was an easy out. Just surprised that they whack the upper back because won't you damage bones? In Singapore, caning is still a punishment for certain crimes - this breaks skin and is said to be extremely painful.

Same in Malaysia...caning is still used here . Not just in jail - corporal punishment for schools , Islamic court etc. I am surprised they hit the back too cause ours is on the buttocks . Regardless Amnesty International feels this is against human rights and has criticised us heavily for this. I wonder what the SKoreans think since the cane is used quite freely in schools etc ...though I am not sure if it is allowed. 

 

His last line and change in expression:

- Humans never disappoint . They always make a big deal out of nothing like this

So it really feels like he spun a story to counter Ga On's accusations. I agree with you @Chocolate that Ga On is believing things too quickly  and seem to have some bias while investigating this.

LOL @Chocolate upon reading @abs-oluteM's post the first thing that came into my mind was SEA still use flogging as punishment and here you are saying exactly the same thing and even included a link. xD I agree hitting the back with a huge stick would break some bones. Perhaps it was for dramatic purposes rather than practicality.

 

Flogging is the least cruel punishment if we go by what we've known throughout history (especially those of you who watches historical drama, Chinese or Korean) and an appropriate one for Young Min. I don't see him ever going to learn or sincerely be sorry until he himself feel the pain he had inflicted on others. In this instance, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. That's why it felt great to see Lee Je Hoon hit the porno/rapist's private part in Deluxe Taxi.

 

Ok, so, not so shocking for me that Sun Ah is the Big Boss behind the scenes given the actress' status vs the dirtbag actor. I feel he was just a sex offender and she used this against him and control him. Agree that I'm now curious if she was already in charge of the Social Responsibility Foundation 10 years ago and I assumed she is since the old dirtbag is there.

 

She and Yo Han are two very interesting and hard to read characters. Since Yo Han is the one in the limelight, I'd say at this point she knows more about Yo Han than Yo Han knows about her. Although I won't doubt if Yo Han has known something is up with her, especially when she jumped up and interrupted the molesting.

 

Ji Sung was really awesome in the end of that church fire scene.

His account of the church fire raise many questions. The way it had played out suggested (or it's bad execution, lol) there were bits and pieces that were yet to be filled in because the cause of fire is unknown. True that they didn't help but when you're in a fire, as we were trained if our company's fire alarm goes off, we're supposed to run and assemble outside. Not save people. We can, try to get someone out but if that person doesn't bulge, we run. It is also human nature that we panicked and acted by impulse.

 

Let's assume Yo Han's account had some truth in it, then at the moment there's no reason for him to target the Foundation members, since they do not seem to be directly responsible of the fire. UNLESS, before the mass, the fire started because of them ... say, from smoking.

 

What he said at the end is such a tease and suggestive. I'd still believe most of it is true. And Ga On could easily confirm it with Elijah later if it was false.

 

So little of Ga On—Soo Hyun this episode though... no cute exchange/flirting too. Aww.

I think the canes used in jail and in schools/home are different. I got hit by my mum so often when young (once I tried to wear double the pajama pants 🙄) - now my friends ask their children to stand in a corner and face the wall 😂. But the ones used in jail - just imagine a sausage, we usually cut it in the middle before we BBQ it right - then it splits open when cooked - I think that's what the buttock will be like in jail.

Do you think Young Min would learn his lesson? Nevertheless, flagellation is a good punishment for him because in jail, his mother could buy him a cushy cell and get him early release etc, from the recent prison shows I have been watching hehe.

Is the actress an accomplished one? I've not seen her anywhere yet but her typical look - big eyes trying to look like innocent bambi and drawling - irritates me haha!

 

If she was already in charge of SRF 10 years ago, then she was very young then - 20s?

But everything about Yo Han seems to stem from the fire - he seems to be a pretty laid back guy and loved by Elijah seeing how she ran out to him at the church gate; the misunderstanding of him trying to grab the family fortune after the fire by the housekeeper and Elijah; his mission for revenge... Surely, the cause of the fire has to be more sinister and not just an accident. Unless there is more they haven't shown yet.

LOLLLL, I managed to dodge my dad's hitting because I was wearing a dress and the skirt protected me. The stick hit the skirt rather than my leg xDDD

 

Double LOLLL to your description about sausage. I guess now @abs-oluteM and I will see sausages on the BBQ differently.

Er... define accomplished, LOL. She's not at the level of Jeon Ji Hyun, Son Ye Jin or Gong Hyo Jin. She has been around dramaland for years. Personally I haven't seen many of her dramas and didn't like the roles she played before Mr. Sunshine and My Fellow Citizens.

I know what you mean but I see another interpretation for this. She puts him there. He has to maintain a certain reputation and image. So for him to publicly molest the waitress is not acceptable. Also I feel even if I'm evil it doesn't mean I allow "men" to be trashy towards women.

Because Yo Han has always been a misunderstood character in the story (on purpose to build up the mystery around him). The accounts of him from the Priest, Nanny and Elijah or even Ga On's investigation were designed to confuse us. Have you seen Flower of Evil? Try watching that.

 

Elijah being nice and calls him Samchun is Yo Han's account of the story so we don't know for sure. I obviously wish/hope this part is true. Only Elijah can confirm. Plus what makes Elijah so antagonistic towards Yo Han now? Technically she shouldn't since Yo Han save her. Isn't it strange that Issac's room is locked up and there are no potraits of the family displayed?

 

There is definitely more to be shown for the church fire backstory. It seem rather odd too that Yo Han was so close outside the church and the moment he turned around, the church is already engulfed in fire. Either this is editing issue or it is not and if so I'd question how can he not smell it or see the smoke/flame/fire?

Now that it is put together like this... it became obvious Yo Han perhaps chose to shoot the driver because he desperately wanting to save Ga On - his half brother look-alike?

 

 

I honestly am desperately wishing these scenes are true and not made up by Yo Han. It's such an impactful scene from Ji Sung!

Just watched the episode and this same thought occurred to me lol. How is it that Yo-han didn’t smell the smoke while the fire had already gotten so big and was just right behind him?

Each episode keeps getting better, while the ratings are steadily increasing as well. Hope the drama can keep the intensity up. Was impressed by Jinyoung as well during the church fire scene.

 

The last line Yo-han said in the episode really threw me in for a loop. Have to agree with some of you that we did not get the full story of the church fire yet as it was only Yo-han’s version.

Lastly, is it just me or does every ep give me a BL vibe in some of the Yo-han and Ga-on scenes?😂 I had flashback to when Jisung and Park Seojun won some best couple (bromance?) award when they did Kill Me Heal Me lol.

ahahahaha I had the same exact thought...and I was like maybe I have been too exposed to all the BL theme on Cdrama that I am becoming over-sensitive. Especially at all the scenes that involved Ga On changing clothes. 

 

@mademoiselle @Chocolate I also got the cane from my mum LOL!  She will use the feather duster! But these days , it is so frowned upon in parenting and in some countries it is seen as a form of abuse. However in kdramas the caning that they get at school actually is not just small little cane...if you see some of the sports dramas they use a big stick. Anyhow , I do think the minister's son deserves it . But I still feel that YoHan's intentions are rather muddy. Different from say in Taxi Driver where you know the Rainbow Team clearly wanted to defend the victims. However, because I like all these shady characters , I hope he will remain that way for a while. . It is a lot more fun when it keeps you guessing.

Actor Ji Sung mentioned both him and his wife actress Lee Bo Young not being able to be there for their children due to work.  On July 1, Ji Sung attended a press conference for his upcoming drama 'The Devil Judge'.

 

During the press conference, Ji Sung talked about each him and Lee Bo Young being busy filming their projects recently.

 

Ji Sung said, "As my drama begins broadcast right after Bo Young's current drama 'Mine' ends, we both unfortunately had to be out of home at the same time."  He continued, "At least one of us should stay home to take care of our children, and that's what we've been doing on every occasion. But we weren't able to do that this time."

 

Then, Ji Sung said neither of them know their filming would overlap when they previously decided to join their projects.  The actor commented, "As it was our first time having to go through this problem, we struggled a lot. We got upset, because we wanted to be there for our children. We had to come up with the right solution."

 

He resumed, "Just the other day, Bo Young and I blew out candles on a cake together. Bo Young's shooting had ended, and I was going to end mine soon. It was to celebrate successfully going through this whole thing as well as ending our shooting around the same instant."

 

He added, "We have much passion for work, and have a strong desire to build our career. We are always rooting for each other. Each filming we do is truly meaningful to us." 

 

 

Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young got married in 2013 after dating for about six years. They had their daughter in 2015, and welcomed a son in 2019.

There are signs that the confrontation between Ji-sung and Kim Min-jung will be in full swing.

In the previous broadcast, Kang Yo Han caused a judicial reform syndrome in Korea in the midst of chaos with a 'national live trial'. In front of those in power who tried to control even the law with money and power, forcing him to cross the level of good and evil skillfully, giving him a refreshing cider.
