Plot Summary

 

Park Jae-Eon (Song Kang) is a university student, majoring in art. He seems nice to everyone and he is usually cheerful. Yet, he is really indifferent to others and he doesn't want to have a romantic relationship. Unexpectedly, he falls for Yoo Na-Bi (Han So-Hee) and begins to change. Yoo Na-Bi is an art student at the same university as Park Jae-Eon. In her past, she broke up with her first love due to his unfaithful ways. After that, decided to become unswayed by love. Han So Hee And Song Kang In Talks For Romance Drama Based On Webtoon

 

Han So Hee and Song Kang could potentially be teaming up for a new romance drama!

 

The drama “I Know But” (literal title) is based on the webtoon of the same name. It’s about a woman named Na Bi who doesn’t believe in love but still wants to be in a relationship, and a man named Jae Eon who thinks relationships are a bother but wants to flirt.

 

It’s directed by Kim Ga Ram, who’s helmed dramas such as “Vampire Detective,” “Devilish Joy,” and “Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” and the script is penned by Jung Won, who wrote the web drama “Dating Class.”

On September 25, Song Kang’s agency Namoo Actors told Newsen, “It’s one of the projects that Song Kang has received an offer for. He’s currently considering it.”

 

Han So Hee’s agency 9Ato Entertainment also stated, “Han So Hee has received a casting offer and she’s considering it. Nothing has been decided yet.”

 

It’s reported that talks are underway for the drama to air on JTBC in the first half of next year.

 

Han So Hee debuted in 2017 through the drama “Reunited Worlds” before going on to act in “Money Flower” later that year. She has also appeared in “100 Days My Prince,” “Abyss,” and more, and she had a breakout year in 2020 when she starred in the popular drama “The World of the Married.”

 

Song Kang made his television debut in 2017 through “The Liar and His Lover” and he went on to appear in “Man Who Sets the Table,” “Beautiful Vampire,” “Love Alarm,” “When the Devil Calls Your Name,” and more.

Oooh you're right. Sweet Home 10. Navillera is 12 and this is reported to be 10. Love Alarm S1 was 8. He did S2 so potentially that makes up to 16.

 

So true and agree. Some dramas don't need to be too long. I'm struggling with Beyond Evil with the excessive talking between the leads, hahaha . I like that Song Kang is pumping out projects after another. An actor's job is act so he's doing exactly that. Possibly also because his resume is considered short compared to the others since he started out late, although he's doing very well with each project.

I think because he's only been acting for a few years, it's good to keep working if the projects are coming. It allows you to keep showing production companies your potentials. 

 

Well, I guess we'll see Song Kang on Netflix in August then.

Haha, agreed that Beyond Evil can have a lot of dialogue sometimes. I'm hoping it will change a bit now that they are actually investigating a bit. Haha!

Waaaa @abs-oluteM, at the rate that Song Kang is going, he might also be nominated for Baeksang along with Lee Do Hyun. I was kinda eyeing the Baeksang New Actor award for Do Hyun coz of his outstanding performance in 18 Again and Jang Dong Yoon is another strong contender too for Tale of Nokdu, agree @Tofu? Both of them did get awarded together for APAN Awards. With Song Kang in the mix (Sweet Home, Navirella)... ottokae, all Oppa-ya.

This I don't know yet. I only found out Navirella is on NF like a couple of weeks ago. They are being so secretive sometimes. But I hope so, only because I don't want to go all over the place for kdramas.

Bingo. Technically Love Alarm 2 was completed and scheduled for release last year but that didn't happen due to COVID if I'm not mistaken so it looked like he had many this year when it's really just 2 - Navirella and I Know But (and potentially the 3rd).

2021.03.18 Song Kang And Han So Hee Confirmed For Upcoming Romance Drama

 

Song Kang and Han So Hee have been confirmed for the new drama “I Know But” (literal translation)!

 

Based on a webtoon of the same name, “I Know But” is about a woman named Yoo Na Bi, who wants to date but doesn’t believe in love, and a man named Park Jae Uhn, who thinks dating is a bother but wants to flirt.

 

Song Kang has been cast as Park Jae Uhn, who finds dating a waste of time but likes to flirt. Even though he is friendly and cheerful toward all, he is actually uninterested in other people and has sworn off dating. He’s a master of the “push-and-pull” who doesn’t get swept up in emotions. He draws firm lines between himself and other people and doesn’t reveal how he feels, but when he meets Yoo Na Bi, he finds himself wanting to cross those lines.

 

Song Kang said, “I’m excited and looking forward to working on ‘I Know But.’ I’ll work hard to show a completely different side of myself through the character of Park Jae Uhn.”

 

Han So Hee has been cast as Yoo Na Bi, who doesn’t trust love but wants to date. After a cruel and bitter experience with her first love, she no longer believes in destiny and makes up her mind not to get swept up in love again. When she meets Park Jae Uhn, however, he has a magical effect on her that shakes up her determination to remain aloof.

 

Han So Hee said, “I’m happy to be playing a character in a webtoon that I’ve enjoyed for a while. I’m really nervous and I feel a sense of pressure, but I’m also looking forward to the first filming because I’m working with such great people. Please show the project a lot of love.”

 

The drama is scheduled to air on JTBC as a Friday-Saturday drama after the end of “Undercover” in June. It is being directed by Kim Ga Ram (“Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency,” “Vampire Detective,” “Devilish Joy“) and written by Jung Won.

 

Song Kang recently promoted the premiere of the second season of Netflix’s “Love Alarm” and is gearing up for the premiere of the tvN drama “Navillera.” He was recently reported to be in talks for another JTBC drama with actress Park Min Young.

 

Han So Hee is working on the Netflix series “Undercover” with Ahn Bo Hyun, Park Hee Soon, Lee Hak Joo, and more. (This is a separate project from JTBC’s “Undercover” that was mentioned above, which is a BBC remake starring Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo).

@Tofu No idea but you could get a tattoo instead. His character has a butterfly (the coincidences) on the back of his neck.
