ssteph
I like old books. Not just the stories written in them but the book themselves, which passed many hands, from one person to another. Because of that, the books themselves have their own stories to tell. ~ J-drama Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia's Case Files 1 Link to comment
ssteph
It was a lovely afternoon-such an afternoon as only September can produce when summer has stolen back for one more day of dream and glamour. Harvest fields drenched in sunshine lay all around them. ~ L.M. Montgomery, Emily Climbs https://twitter.com/LMMontgomeryLS/status/1442893920489197568?s=19 1 Link to comment

SilverMoonTea
The more you desperately want to be rich, the more poor and unworthy you feel, regardless of how much money you actually make. The more you desperately want to be sexy and desired, the uglier you come to see yourself, regardless of your actual physical appearance. The more you desperately want to be happy and loved, the lonelier and more afraid you become, regardless of those who surround you. —Mark Manson 1 Link to comment
SilverMoonTea
Instead of worrying so much about what I can do for the world, or what I can put out in the world, in those moments you start to realise the only force working between you and the world is gravity. And everything just is. Before I go to bed, when I get into bed, I take a moment to be grateful for everything that I have, whether it’s the food I eat, the roof over my head, the clothes I wear, and my health. And that is an act of re-affirming my happiness which really does change the baseline of how I feel about myself and my life. That has been uplifted for sure. Fumio Sasaki 1 Link to comment
ssteph
October--with a gorgeous pageant of colour…A great, tinted peace. Blue, wind-winnowed skies. Sunlight sleeping in the glades…Long dreamy purple days paddling idly in their canoe along shores & up the rivers of crimson and gold. ~ The Blue Castle - L.M. Montgomery 1 Link to comment
SilverMoonTea
"Change, whether good or bad, is really the only constant in life. You have the power to choose how you react, [and] I think in life you can either be a victim of your own circumstances or be the author of your life. Charlene Chew 1 Link to comment

ssteph
It was November—the month of crimson sunsets, parting birds, deep, sad hymns of the sea, passionate wind-songs in the pines. Anne roamed through the pineland alleys and let that great sweeping wind blow the fogs out of her soul. ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of the Island Link to comment

ssteph
It feels like snow tonight. I like an evening when it feels like snow. The wind is blowing ‘in turret and tree’ and making my cozy room seem even cozier. The last golden leaf will be blown from the aspens tonight. ~ L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Windy Poplars Link to comment
