Back to Field (Chinese: 向往的生活; pinyin: Xiàngwǎng de shēnghuó) is a Chinese variety show on Hunan TV.

 

It features a core cast of celebrities living on a farm, with new guests each day to help with the work. In each episode, the guests call ahead to order a dish they want, and the hosts attempt to make it.

 

The guests help throughout the day and spend the night, leaving in the next episode.

 

The hosts in Season 1 include He Jiong, Huang Lei, and Henry Lau. Peng Yuchang joined the cast in Season 2. Henry Lau announced that he would not be joining the cast in Season 3, while Zhang Zifeng announced that she would become a permanent part of the cast.The first episode of Season 4 will be airing in May 2020 with the same cast of Season 3.

yes YangZi had been in the industry for too long, she debuted since she was a kid i believe, infact she had also acted with Zhang JiFeng the little sister in 'Back to Field' and they seems to have good rapport, as Zhang JiFeng who is always quiet and rarely comment was caught on filming having a good talk with YangZi, this is the only 2nd person she seems to be talking alot or stick by closely too, the other one was SongYun.

Lay is genuinely scare of anything with beak, he had said that from the beginning when he join 'Back to Field' and also in this video we can see his reaction of being surprised by 'CaiDeng'

So I decided to watch this episodes, thanks @NiteWalkerfor the recommendation. 

 

The village is very pretty & relaxing. I think the concept a bit similar with Three Meals A Day. And for sure the animals seems more varied haha. I even spotted peacock. Lols

yes S4 was situated in a village which practice Thai Ethic village in China and if im not wrong they are the spin off from Three Meals a Day...they were also celebrating SongKran

 

also on top of that SongYun actually propose to Allen that they went in quietly so that they can surprise the host, however Allen ended up yapping all the way towards the door that had SongYun called him out hahaha....
