@abs-oluteM ironically all four of them are my favourite..... now the thing is this role of kim woo bin was to be done by NJH ... which did not materialise.... it would have even been more interesting to see Han Ji Min being romantic with NJH while till this date they featured together in so many dramas but not a single one is exclusively romantic....nonetheless I am extremely glad to see Kim Woo Bin being back after fighting such a deadly disease...I will probably watch it solely for him....lol..this will probably broadcast after 25 21..

Cha Seung Won And Lee Jung Eun Take A Trip Down Memory Lane In Warm Poster For “Our Blues”

Apr 6, 2022 by L. Kim

Upcoming tvN weekend drama “Our Blues” has shared a new poster featuring Cha Seung Won and Lee Jung Eun!

“Our Blues” is a new omnibus-style drama set in Jeju Island that tells the sweet, sour, and bitter life stories of a diverse array of characters. In addition to Cha Seung Won and Lee Jung Eun, the star-studded cast includes Lee Byung Hun, Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, Han Ji Min, Kim Hye Ja, Uhm Jung Hwa, and more.

Lee Jung Eun will be starring in the drama as Jung Eun Hee, a fish shop owner who is unexpectedly reunited with her first love after 30 years. Cha Seung Won will star as bank manager Choi Han Soo, who returns to his hometown of Jeju after years of city life.

The newly released poster captures Jung Eun Hee and Choi Han Soo’s warm relationship. The two are posing under the dazzling sunlight, and bright smiles are blooming on their faces. The two are old schoolmates who share mutual memories of the days when they enjoyed being with their friends and had overwhelming dreams. They may be adults now, but their smiles exude the freshness of youth.

The text on the poster reads, “My eternal friend, my eternal first love,” making fans wonder about their relationship. The two friends, who reunited after a long time, will delve into old memories, and it will be intriguing to see what that will lead them to.

I really enjoyed the 1st episode. Not all the characters are out yet. For instance we don't see Shin Min Ah's character. But I just love the village vibe and the way the characters are interlinked.

Cha Seung Won's character Choi Han Soo was Eun Hee's first love - and what  hilarious yet nostalgic flashbacks were shown for the both of them. Han Soo , a bank manager, has sacrificed it all for his daughter's golf career ( which is floundering at the moment) . And he needs more cash to continue to support her. When transferred back to Jeju ( his hometown) , he reconnects with old friends and finds out that Eun Hee is super rich. She runs the fish stalls and owns many buildings.  So do you think he will try to borrow from her?

We also saw Kim Woo Bin and Han Ji Min's connection - she is a diver and he's the captain of the boat. They seem to like each other and he is thinking of dating her. However she's known in town as being rather flirty and she herself doesn't recommend that he dates her , less she hurts him.

Lee Byung Hun's character also had a  brief intro. He is a peddler of sorts.

@Chocolate @movingwheel @peperomia did you all watch this yet?

Think 1st eps had nationwide ratings of 7.3%

Yes, I watched this too last night and looking forward to what will happen between Han Soo and Eun Hee. I really don't know what to expect from it.

They were so cute as students 🤣 - Eun Hee's character is a hoot, only a self-confident man would be able to love her because many would consider it embarrassing to be with her. Han Soo when young seemed popular - he was tall and I think supposed to be good looking (he just broke up with a pretty girl), the hooligans were scared of him and good at sports. Only con is his family was not well off. It speaks well of his character that he did not blow her off at this scene, which was hilarious.

But now they are all grown up, he is not doing so well whereas she is RICH! But he is married and his wife is struggling in the US (at his insistence), so it would be wrong for him to re-start a relationship with Eun Hee. I would love to see them being a couple but I have a feeling theirs is destined to be a friendship. I think if he asked Eun Hee to lend him money, she would. But personally, I think I am too realistic to ever sacrifice to this extent for a "potential", so I hope Eun Hee will help him see that.

@abs-oluteM I was only able to catch the first 10 minutes of it and already really like it. I think mostly because of Han Ji Min. She seems bright and fun. I didn't like the way the other female divers were talking about her though, but it was cute and funny how she kept teasing and winking at Kim Woo Bin. LOL. Does he seem a bit tsundere on the outside, but likely warm-hearted on the inside? Despite how he reacted to her, it seems pretty clear that he likes her.

Eun Hee seems all business. She wouldn't let the customer dime and nickel her in selling her the fish. I can see why she is successful. I have not gotten to the introduction of Cha Seung Won's character, but I am curious about their storyline.

Totally agree - the small town/village vibe is refreshing so far. I can't wait to meet the rest of the characters.

That's so typical of a scene in a wet market in Singapore too 😂 People are forever prodding the fish and meat to "test" the freshness, which I am sure irks the stallholders. It also reminds me of hawkers here - the popular ones have long queues and very unfriendly stall owners, some even downright rude and they scold you when you ask for extra chili. But still we queue and patronise 🤣

Oh! Didn't recognise her. @mademoiselle are you watching this?

I finished the first episode and love it!

Han Su seems like he is shouldering a lot for his daughter’s golf career. Hope everything that he and wife has sacrificed pays off in the end. He was indifferent in seeing his hometown friends again, but the chance of seeing their antics from afar made him laugh and put a smile of his face. Based on the preview, it looks like being back “home” and with his friends again will make him lively again.

OMG…Eun Hee is spunky and hilarious. I love her! Her and Han Ji Min together are going to be a hoot. She was so happy to see Han Su in traffic. Apparently, it has been 20 years. It cracked me up how she calls and refers to him as “first love” until this day. LOL. I also like the way she stood up for herself to the man who crashed into her truck. Strong woman indeed.

Absolutely loved their backstory as teenagers. I couldn't stop laughing most of the time! Yes, I really respect him for not blowing her off. It was hilarious when she fainted to the ground after it. That thud sound. LOL.

I feel the exactly same. Since Han Su has a family, their story will be an interesting one. He did ask his colleague about her husband which she does not have one yet so it tells me that he still cares about her. I would love to see them somehow be a couple too, but if it turns out to be a strong friendship at their stage in life, I am good with that too.

Han Su's wife seems to think their sacrifices are extreme as well which causes them to have tense conversations. To be honest, being apart in different countries for so many years must be tough on a marriage, especially if you don't necessarily agree on decisions and have financial concerns.

Oh, so that's a pretty normal business exchange! There are no wet markets around where I am (which is in the U.S.). Everything is behind a glass case and prices are fixed so there's no prodding or haggling. Take it or leave it. LOL. (I would love to visit Singapore one day and experience grocery shopping at the stalls. I hear the food is amazing.)

Surprisingly, I actually recognized Shim Dal Gi. She also had a small part in season 1 of Hospital Playlist. She played a teen mom of Jun Wan's baby patient. She's so good at portraying young Eun Hee here!

@Chocolate Yup. I'm watching this too (the other is My Liberation Notes). I did find the actress playing high school Eun Hee familiar but couldn't pinpoint which drama. You've pointed it out. I'm sure I've seen here in other shows too. BTW, what's with Cha Seung Won and his foot all the time?

I, too, like the backstory of Eun Hee and Han Soo. It was cute. They managed to find someone as tall as Cha Seung Won to play his younger self, which is cool. And agree, he seems to be the popular one in school (and supposedly smart as well) but this doesn't translate a better life as we learnt. I feel sorry for him and scared because he took out half of his retirement fund to support this daughter. What if she failed? Then what? Such a big gamble.

Do you guys have any first love/crushes you guys wonder now how he/they were doing? I occasionally think about them, wondering how they look now~ hahahaha!

Not sure what is in stall for Han Soo with Eun Hee. I did read people talking about him facing divorce but I'm not sure based on episode 1 since there is no mention of it. I'd love to see more backstory of their highschool times.

I'm not sure what is the deal with Han Ji Min yet but based on character description, she was mentioned to be selfish. Kim Woo Bin is Kim Woo Bin, best at playing tsundere. He didn't have to do much yet already is swoony. He even look good brushing his teeth.

This show was easy to get into and thanks to young Eun Hee and Han Soo, I got hooked pretty quick.

I go supermarkets myself too as I'm not good at bargaining. I leave the wet markets to my mum 😂 Yes, come! The food is good and cheap (relatively). Like when I go US/Europe, I can't bear to pay $20 for 2 pcs of Sushi or Dim Sum, because it costs $4 at home. But it will take some getting used to for foreigners as wet markets are... wet, and hawker centres are not so clean. I usually buy and takeaway and eat in comfort at home.

That's my first thought too! Well, at least he doesn't have some foot disease here lol.

It would not be surprising if Han Soo and his wife headed for divorce, but I don't think it would sit well if it was because of Eun Hee. Plus Eun Hee seems to be a woman of integrity so... let's see.

The portion is bigger though. But it turns me off instead because it's so big.

I haven't been to SG's wet markets but hawker centre, the one I went was considered pretty clean! Forgot which one I went - maybe Newton (aimed at tourist). Plus SG is so strict on cleanliness, I thought?

Couldn't find on Google or social media. Wait, country president...? As in a country's President? Singaporean? Anyone's crush became a celebrity?

I don't think the divorce would involve Eun Hee. I was thinking maybe the wife found a guy in the US.
