Apart from the flash marriage bit, it's generally about normal people interacting in plausible ways. I'd been thinking that there are not enough of these types of stories where the leads have a mature relationship that's built on clear communication and an active avoidance of misunderstandings. The ML is particularly likeable here because he states clearly at the start what his expectations of the marriage is. He's not going to be a rebound but he wants a long-term relationship. This of course repudiates the usual contract marriage trope where they both claim to want separate lives with separate living areas. It's not a straight up transaction with benefits for him. He wants love eventually. 

The actor does remind me a little of Wang Xingyue.

yes very true....i caught it too last night....been watching couple of late night dramas recently cause couldnt sleep due to the heatwave we are experiencing .....

its felt comfortable and actually make u just sit down and watch it thru.....and the verbal abuse its to the minimum, actually the scumbag's best friend is an honest guy and he deliver the truth to the scumbag just he is too blind and too much into himself to see the truth.....i love the bit where the FL didnt forgave him either when he came to ask for forgiveness

Last week I posted a couple of their dramas and this one is apparently their first collaboration.  As you can see it's a rebirth story where the FL betrayed the ML in the previous life. He went to prison and three years later when he's released he finds her wandering around on her own infected with AIDS. She later commits suicide which leads to rebirth. 

 

I've been told that it is an older drama although I just caught it last week

i like the girl....the girl work well in most of her roles.....yes this was also one of the first drama i watch of her too....its very nicely done.....

this is a nice one.....slow and steady not stabbing or accident and no hospital visit hahaha....

a caring ML who had always been in love the FL since high school....FL gave up on the guy she intended to marry just for marrying sakes, she wasnt fully inlove with him either....just out of gratitude as the guy mother was her passed away mom's best friends....and it was her mother wish....

she woke up on the day they were suppose to register for marriage where the guy went on a vacation with his lover instead.....

only thing we need to face is some verbal abuse from the scumbag at the very beginning however once the FL gave up....she gave up for good n got back a little backbone to stood up against the scumbag......

ML is very supportive of her through out and get along with her at her pace too.....

swap identity, fake tried to be the savior to win the ML however its doesnt stay hidden for long.....

hidden identity, runaway bride, well FL wasnt the real daughter and she was adopted so they are forcing her to marry some old guy for money to help the family business which bumping into some road block....

bump into ML who running away from his grandma who is forcing him to get married with someone.....so ended up they got married with the girl assuming ML is just a security guard since he was in the security guard uniform when she bump into him....of course now the adopted family especially the daughter is giving her grief....i havent finish the story yet....i click in cause i like the ML

this plot is only so so to be honest...though i like both lead, this is the 2nd times i see them together, i prefer the other one, where he had a special disease, almost like a vamprish disease where he cant see the light

this one not too bad...hidden identity, the FL this times is the child out of wedlock cause the father was the scumbag who cheated on her mother lying that he wasnt married when infact he was married with 2 children

the sister pushes the FL to sleep with the ML thinking he was some poor block when he turn out the be the heir of some big org.....

oh well we all knew the drill hahah.....

The upside of this show is that it doesn't rely on the same group of villains all throughout. It often gets rather ridiculous that the same antagonists continue doing the same thing over and over with repercussions. It is unique that the story focuses on the ML's family dynamic rather than on the FL's. Also the boy is not the offspring of a previous one night stand. There are also a couple of mysteries that need to be uncovered related to 5 years ago when the ML was in a vehicle accident.

the first part of the story was better plotted, i lost interest in the 2nd half of the story.....however i do like the FL enough to stay thru it
