  1. I suspect that it has something to do with IB finding out the names of those 8 spirits who died at the same moment, and JA writing them down before stabbing herself. For Egg ghosts in the past they never figured out who they were hence using a blank paper. So that should be a more direct attack on the egg ghost and also that they shared power, just like how they did 20 years ago, when the two kids’ eyes lit up when IB gave his support by touching JA. That would mean that one person is not enough to stop the Egg Ghost and for JA and IB during the 2 times they got rid of the Egg Ghost was always a teamwork between them.
  2. I love how the appearance of Kim Mi Kyung is like a Cupid for our MLs. For IB, her words got him to recognise his affections towards JA is love and encourages him to tell her. For JA, she encourages her not to push everyone who loves her away. While our stubborn JA is still traveling in da Nile, Egypt, claiming that what they shared isn’t love, KMK’s character knew exactly where are the right buttons to push, forcing JA to rethink her thoughts to run away. For me it kind of tell us that JA is really terrible with handling people relationship. It amused me as JA has been more than often the one guiding IB and someone everyone look up to for leadership but she’s absolutely terrified at handling people or understanding people’s concern for her... and she can’t properly express her concern for people... something that she claims not to care but KYK pointed out that the fact is she is just as warm hearted as her mother despite claiming to be indifferent to people. I like how KYK’s character just tore that cold indifference mask off JA bluntly... and I think she needed that because Deputy director Joo mollycoddled JA a teeny weeny too much, to the point of hiding the very truth from her despite knowing that JA longs to learn about her mother’s death. Now... I totally understand why she won’t tell a 11 years old then, but somewhere along JA’s adulthood she could have shared something with JA. But her protectiveness over JA made that decision for JA, justifying her decision that it would be better for JA not to know. But it is also robbing JA the opportunity to grow emotionally... I think the Not Knowing was slowly killing JA, to the point that when she finally learned of the truth, it was a direct shock to her system, causing her to defensively feel betrayed and run away since the one person she trusted most can so easily could hide something so important to her, can she trust anyone else?!<And of course IB will need to prove otherwise to win her over... (There IB, I found chink in JA's armour for you!) JA overacted, while JA knew Deputy director Joo probably thinks it’s for her good not to know, but it’s that action of hiding facts for the “Greater Good” which also made JA felt like a doll in bubble wraps, reducing her to a damsel in distress, because Deputy director Joo felt that JA would be hurt again... For someone who has been with JA for the longest time, she has failed to give JA the opportunity to learn to process pain & hurt, that lacking made that final blow harder than ever for JA because while JA trusted her without a doubt, Deputy Director Joo didn’t trust JA enough to be able to handle the truth.... it reminds me of how Dumbledore kept the truth from Harry to give him a happy childhood.. but neither Harry or JA was happy despite being spared from the horrors of truth. Instead they were emotionally tortured by their self-blaming guilt. So the For your good, don’t really protect the person but cuts only deeply. Once again I just want to say, the romance isn’t the brightest aspect in SYHH, but I came to appreciate how logical and realistic the relationships between characters are building up. They are not perfect, and being MLs don’t automatically give them the “you can do no wrong get out of jail free card”... They can misunderstood, they can do wrong, they can react badly, but they can also reflect on their own actions and apologise when it is needed. So I do look forward to JA & IB being a couple but it probably won’t happen soon coz JA needs the opportunity to realise that she is loved before recognising that she cares for IB more than she thought. So I’m guessing that will be in the last one or two episodes for JA to be enlightened.... lol and we will then finally get the romance we are looking forward to.
  3. I just want to say episode 12 was amazing, the portrayal of how JA fought through those fake memories were heartbreaking and JNR delivered it very well. Although I know some would say that the repetition of the memory is bothersome but let’s consider this. Do we tend to rethink about something over and over again in our mind when we can’t get over something? That’s the actual scene being shown here. Just that we are now in JA’s mindscape and witnessing her every attempt to break through the fake memories placed on her mind. The fact SYHH took something so intangible and managed to turn it into tangible and heartbreaking shows how detailed the team is. That’s definitely a scene to remember for me.
  4. Thank you 😊 I’m glad to find a place for discussion. I’m guessing Mum is staying because of Ji A. And this serial has a sneaky habit of drawing dots and letting us connect them thinking that should be it and then prove us wrong 😑 Ah... indeed JNR was a singer until 2012 I think... and stopped singing because of her performance anxiety. I always thought that was a pity coz she has quite an unique tone. But I kind of think that her skills now is probably better than her younger days. If not for that nervousness in her voice at times, from what was showcased during her recent dramas she seems to be quite a good singer especially with her musical scenes in The Last Empress. It did surprise me when she sang the OST and not to mention such a girl group like song; which left me scratching my head trying to imagine a scene in which Ji A could have to use this as a BGM... 🤔🤔 Her voice is just too sweet for Ji A, and I’m guessing that’s why she is using a deeper voice as Ji A. Somehow I could only imagine JNR doing ballads such as “Wind from the end of the sky” from Dong Yi OST....
  5. Hmmmm.... just my thoughts on Ma Kwang Tae ghost, I kind of think that it was more that his actions are too disgusting to be featured, since Oh In Beom’s first reaction was a look of disgust saying why is there such a person after the spirit was sent off. Although the way he looked at Hong Ji A after it had me wondered was it a side effects from MKT, his stare was unusually intensive that even Ji A broke away from it first. That episode was carefully drafted to show not to say what MKT did but have the police informing that photos and videos of others girls been stalked by him were found in his computer and considering his previous words and action in the girl’s room when they are alone, it’s not painting to be a nice image to mind. So I do feel that the production team is purposely avoided it out of sensitive (or censorship) since the MKT reminds me of Richard Ranirez... On the topic of ghosts, did anyone realise that the recent ghosts starts to feature red eyes? First there was In Beom’s Uncle when he is in Do Hak Seong’s office, and now Ma Kwang Tae? Seems to hint their hatred, that’s why Ma Kwang Tae was able to attack Hong Ji A immediately despite being a new ghost? Though I wonder if he could hit her or that is Ji A simply reacting to avoid getting touched by him to be trapped in her memories again. For Ghost Mama, I think even Ji A is surprised to learn that her mother could leave the house, so I think that there are something which are not said about her yet. This would not be the first time Ji A not knowing something despite being the only exorcist... And instead of where she was tied to, it is more likely that it was whom she was tied to and chances are she is one of the stronger ghosts who can travel like In Beom’s Uncle. I still wonder about whether she has special ability since the way she appeared to open the door is so dramatic but I also recall Ji A mentioning that electrical fails when ghost is present... and if I am not wrong, automatic open door in emergency is a safety feature just like in a lift... so the door could have been just open with her presence to interfere with the electronic.... I would think that Ji A will have problem sending them off and something needed to be done before so.
