RM, the leader of K-pop superband Bangtan Sonyeondan, will attend the main event of the BTS Festa to celebrate its debut anniversary, the group's agency said Thursday.

The BTS Festa@Yeouido will take place at the Han River Park in Seoul's Yeouido area on June 17 to wrap up the two-week-long festival to mark the band's 10th anniversary. The septet celebrates the anniversary on June 13.

According to details of the event announced by Big Hit Music on K-pop fan community platform Weverse, RM will communicate in person with fans at the "Army Rounge" to be set up at the event's venue at 5 p.m.

The event will be livestreamed on the platform.  There also will be the  Bangtan Sonyeondan History Wall, an exhibition of the band's stage costumes, a sculpture created to mark the 10th anniversary and a booth for getting hands-on experience of tattoo stickers, the agency said.

A magnificent fireworks display will be held at 8:30 p.m., accompanied by Bangtan Sonyeondan songs and narration from member Jungkook.

The fireworks display will be livestreamed on Weverse Live, YouTube and TikTok.

'The Astronaut' by Bangtan Sonyeondan Jin re-enters No 3 in 15th week on Billboard's World Digital Songs Sales Chart breaking his own record for the longest chart-in among K-pop soloist in the past 10 years.

'The Astronaut' debuted at No. 1 on the 'World Digital Song Sales Chart' upon its release on October 28 last year and stayed at No. 1 for three consecutive weeks and Jin ranked first on the chart with three of his solo songs, 'Yours', 'Super Tuna' and 'The Astronaut', proving his immense popularity as a top solo artist.

'The Astronaut' recorded the fifth highest sales debut among all songs released in 2022 with 44,000 sales in the first week on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart last year and with this first week's data, the US Billboard 2022 year-end settlement  ranked 58th on the 'Digital Song Sales' chart. 

On 'Global 200' chart, 'The Astronaut' sold 62,000 copies, setting the record for the highest debut sales. 'The Astronaut' topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 104 countries in US, the home of pop topped within 1 hour and 23 minutes. 'The Austronaut' debuted as number one on Billboard 'Emerging Artist' chart, charting for five consecutive weeks also on Billboard 'Global Excluding the US' chart and entered the chart for three consecutive weeks.

Jin is widely known as a silver vocalist, the oldest member of Bangtan Sonyeondan entered the Yeoncheon training center on December 13th 2022 and has since been selected to serve as an assistant instructor at the Yeoncheon army base in northern Gyeonggi province, according to the South Korean military.

Bangtan Sonyeondan is celebrating 10 years since their debut and Jimin took some time on Wednesday to show his appreciation for fans around the world with a sweet live performance of “Dear Army.”

The track is a hidden song found on the CD version of Jimin’s solo debut album, Face, inside the English version of “Like Crazy.” The same flowers are an overarching representative symbol of the group’s official colour and they’re equally reminiscent of Bangtan Sonyeondan RM song Wild Flower music video.

The surprise video comes just a week before Bangtan Sonyeondan 10th Anniversary Festa is set to take place on June 17 in Seoul, South Korea. The event at Yeouido, Seoul, will be open to the public, and more information about the Festa will arrive at a later date.

Jimin’s six-track Face arrived back in March and entered the Billboard 200 albums chart upon its release at No. 2, with its breakout single “Like Crazy” topping the Hot 100 songs chart. The debut made Jimin the first South Korean solo artist to top the Hot 100 in the chart’s nearly 65-year history.

K-pop worldwide fans are buzzing after BTS released a trailer for their 10th-anniversary event, set to be held next Saturday, June 17 in Yeouido, Seoul.

The official trailer for BTS, an acronym of Bangtan Sonyeondan or “Beyond the Scene” "Bangtan Sonyeondan 10th Anniversary Festa in Yeouido" was released, Wednesday, on the group's official social media channel.

A sneak peek of the various scenes that can be expected at the event was shown in the 20-second video, fueling excitement and anticipation among Bangtan Sonyeondan fans.

The trailer begins with a shot of a gift box, followed by scenes of a purple whale flying over Seoul. An invitation letter to Bangtan Sonyeondan fandom, is shown and an on-air sign is lit up, as Bangtan Sonyeondan official logo appears against the backdrop of fireworks.

The trailer ends with a view of the stage in Yeouido, which will host the highly-anticipated event.

In the run-up to the event, major landmarks all across Seoul will be illuminated in purple. Starting next Monday, various media art will be on display at N Seoul Tower, Lotte World Tower, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Sevit Island, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, the Banpo, Yanghwa, Yeongdong and World Cup bridges, Seoul City Hall and Gwanghwamun Square.

Gang Dong Won, Park Jeong Min and Cha Seung Won will be starring in a new Netflix film “War and Revolt,” written and produced by Park Chan Wook.
 
Set in the Imjin War period (1592-1598) when Japan invaded Joseon, “War and Revolt” will tell the story of Chun Young, played by Gang who was an introvert and born a slave but has immense sword-fighting skills and participates in fighting the invasion. Park will play Jong Ryeo, a self-centred son of one of the most highly revered noble families in the country who befriends Chun Young. King Seonjo is to be played by Cha.
 
Kim Shin Eok, Jin Seon Kyu and Jung Sung Il take on supporting roles in “War and Revolt.”

Park Chan Wook, who directed classics of Korean cinema and critically acclaimed films such as “Oldboy” (2003), “Lady Vengeance” (2005), “The Handmaiden” (2016) and “Decision to Leave” (2022), serves as screenwriter and producer for “War and Revolt.”

This marks the first time that Park has participated in a Netflix original film in Korea. Director Kim Sang Man will direct “War and Revolt.”

Bangtan Sonyeondan group songs and members' solo songs are steadily maintaining their positions on the US Billboard charts.

According to the latest chart as of June 10 released by Billboard, an American music media outlet, on the 6th, the title song 'Like Crazy' of Jimin's first official solo album 'Face' of Bangtan Sonyeondan is 'Billboard Global USA' ranked 45th and 'Global 200' 66th, charting for 10 consecutive weeks.

Also, the movie 'Fast and Furious: Ride or Die' Ost 'Angel Pt. 1' (Feat. Jimin of Bangtan Sonyeondan, JVKE & Muni Long Fast X Soundtrack) ranked 7th in 'Rap Digital Song Sales', 31st in 'R&B Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales', 31st in 'Global excluding the US', ' It ranked 45th on the Global 200'.

Jin's first solo single, 'The Astronaut', released in October of last year, surprisingly re-entered the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart at No. 3.

Mnet's 'M Countdown', a representative music broadcast that has been broadcast since 2004, celebrates its 800th episode on June 8.

Bangtan Sonyeondan just dropped a brand new trailer for the group’s upcoming 10th debut anniversary celebration. According to the official trailer, an event will be held at Yeouido Hangang Park in the following days after their anniversary to celebrate a decade of the group’s presence in the music industry. The trailer swiftly launches over an upbeat background sound with the visuals going from a bunch of presents to the view of the city of Seoul to a building reflecting the definitive animal of the group purple whale and is followed by a letter sliding into an envelope with Bangtan Sonyeondan fandom symbol and then moving to an 'On Air' board over a radio set-up. Bangtan Sonyeondan is preparing for a massive celebration of its 10th debut anniversary on June 13 and has already revealed many exciting plans including the Bangtan Sonyeondan Presents Everywhere project. The music video of K-pop superband Bangtan Sonyeondan 2020 megahit single "Dynamite" has topped 1.7 billion YouTube views, becoming the most-viewed music video by the boy group, its agency said Tuesday.

The "Dynamite" music video surpassed the threshold on YouTube at 8:37 p.m on June 6, becoming the first music video by Bangtan Sonyeondan to achieve the feat, agency said.

"Dynamite" is an upbeat disco pop song carrying a message of hope. It was released in August 2020 in the depths of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart as the first K-pop piece to do so and brought the group its first Grammy nomination.

Including "Dynamite" Bangtan Sonyeondan has 39 music videos that topped 100 million YouTube views.
