  1. @Just_Me, there's also a ring on Jun's finger! KBS is working hard to keep us guessing and anticipating until tonight's broadcast. Rara and Jun, please give us a plausible and logical explanation so we can all be at peace and happy with your engagement rings
  2. On a lighter note, I think KBS did not expect the magnitude of the reaction of the people on Ep. 14, it's so funny because they have been on pins and needles for several days now, releasing one clip to another and stills to somehow appease the viewers and make sure that we'll all watch Ep. 15. Maybe it was the magic of Rara that made people so sympathetic to her pain because people literally cried with her and felt her pain or Jun was so perfect in every way that we all were as shocked as Rara when he broke up with her (Jun! you promised you wouldn't let go? so what's this???) I think KBS will give us more stills or clips, tom as if we have not been all on the edge the past days and I swear if there will be a delay in the broadcast tom because of soccer or whatever (like what happened in one episode) KBS be better prepared for a mob!
  3. I can completely relate @stroppyse if DDSSLLS will have an open ending or will fail in their logic for the past episode then it will really make me sad and will refrain from watching still airing kdramas for a long time. Drama gods, save usssssss
  4. Me too @Just_Me! I am so curious and excited on how the drama will explain all the craziness that we've seen last week. And you are right up until before Jun rode that ex-classmate's car, he was still the Jun that we all know. I have never been this affected by a drama since the shipping wars of Reply 1994 and 1988! Boy, that was intense and stressful! Anyway, It is really sad that the drama is ending this week because I can surely watch a hundred plus episodes of Rara, Jun, Mimi and the rest of the Eunpo gang
  5. I just saw the airport clip again in The Swoon YT and I can't helped but be happy with Rara after seeing Jun. I have such a soft heart! Jun looks so pitiful and lifeless as if all the light has done dark in his life (well, after breaking up with Rara just like that) Anyway, I'm a curious soul so I was wondering why the production decided to put that background music when Rara first saw Jun at the airport, it's such a heart warming and hopeful instrumental music and has been played many times whenever they were together throughout the series. I'm just wondering whether we have assume the worst about Jun and Ep. 14. Could it be that everything was a red herring, that Rara and Jun were in it together? That they were both acting for the benefit of Jun's parents or scary real threat Dad? But Jun did not tell Rara the real reason was because he bought Lala land and to save the Eunpo folks? Pardon everyone, but I'm just wondering out loud;) I am also very curious why Rara said that Lala land is filled with Jun's presence and if she can protect it all on her own. Why did she not ask "why did you leave me all alone here?" or "why did you not keep your promise to be by my side always", something along these lines. It's not the words of someone who has been betrayed by love (after that cruel break up scene). Well, we can argue that Rara is such a gentle sweetheart so she does not have the heart to hate Jun. (The entire DDSSLLS fandom is doing it for her anyway! ) DDSSLLS is such a fun drama and the many plot twists have kept us on our toes. It has been breaking the standard tropes one after the other and made us laugh at our silly assumptions because of our jaded kdrama experiences so I'm just wondering why go on full classic tropes at the twilight of its run? I really hope that we'll be pleasantly surprised with Ep. 15 despite its gloomy title, that we'll get the logical answers we want from Jun, that the drama will live up to its claim- healing drama, that Jun redeems himself in the most epic way because he hurt Rara and us all in an epic way as well. Writer-nim and Wednesday, eundaphara- answer us
  6. It's was so funny that they have actually apologized on their official twitter because of yesterday's episode and said that may the stills from the beach scene calm the hearts of the viewers and even quoted Harabuji's words "those destined to meet will meet" ;) It was crazy in Naver, knetizens were literally up in arms about what happened to Jun and asking why do the show have to make such a lovable and bright person like Rara cry;) I'm just so glad that there are many of us who truly cared about this drama and its wonderful characters like Rara and (Jun) he's in a parenthesis until further logical explanation from Ep. 15;)
  7. I used to smile a lot and say awww whenever I see Jun because he's wearing his heart on his sleeves too much with Rara. Right now, whenever I see him at twitter and other DDSSLLS portals all I can say aloud that it's almost scandalous is "NAPPEUN NOM" Rara should really take some classes from Hayoung and demand her teacup back! hahaha I'm trying my hardest to understand him with the following theories: 1. He's sick and thought that hurting your one true love is the best way for them not to be hurt with your impending death (clearly he's watched a lot of dramas!) 2. He's threatened by his evil father (in normal circumstances he would have ran away and elope with Rara but Eunpo folks are at stake too (Ms. Jin, Hayoung, Seunggi, Grandpa's garden and house) and Rara would not be happy leaving them in their woes (noble intentions, stupid execution, clearly shows his age) because of the purchase of the Eunpo building and the viral video -Everything is staged (he asked help from his girl classmate, paid Mr. Detective to take their pictures for clearly he saw them already and talked with them it would have been stupid to continue taking pictures of them, his break-up speech, his airport antics) All of the benefit of his father and his henchmen. I don't think mommy is involved for clearly when it was only them that knew about the purchase of the building, Jun was still acting the Jun that we know (he bought rings for them and was meeting up with Rara) and she cried with him at the end of the episode (I have a soft spot for Mom now) 3. One theory I saw in twitter is that everything was just a dream from the time he bought the Eunpo building (Jun's dreaming and will wake up in Ep. 15 to save the day (slow clap to the brilliant writers if this turns out to be true) Anyway, I'm sure many of you have a lot of ideas how to make sense of the mess that is Ep. 14. Please do share so we can survive the next few days. Thank goodness, I found your community if not, I would have self-combust after I watched the latest episode. We love Rara and Jun and we want a happy ending but boy do I want to see him suffer just a bit more than Rara to make me feel better. And if they do end up together, he'll have to do ALL the chores FOREVER and let Rara play the piano all the time. now that's a perfect ending!
  8. My same sentiments after I have watched it the first time. I thought of dropping the drama and will just forever hate the writer for ruining Jun and Rara. DDSSLLS is my happy pill? what happened to my happy pill?! Was Jun abducted by aliens and was replaced by a clone?! For everything he did after buying those engagement rings made no sense at all! "Yes, Jun I am talking to you! and if you will not have a grand EPIC explanation next week, we're all jumping ship to Dr. Cha!" He better not crash their wedding again. haha I was hurt after I first watched it, Jun made Rara cry, our puppy lovesick Jun! But the second watch made me think, the title was "Furtive Tears" or "Secret Tears" and the opening title scene focused on Jun's face, a rainy window and Rara's hands on the piano. It made me think that maybe just maybe there's a logic in there somewhere for the secret tears were not of Rara's but Jun's. Anyway, I really hope Rara will smack him once for all of us once everything is clear and happy. I hope his grand reveal as the true DDSSLLS make us forget all about this dreadful Ep. 14. And they better show us one freaking awesome Ep 15 and 16! It will be a long wait till Wednesday but here's to Ep. 8 Jun who made a "hot" salad for Rara
  9. Yes, I needed to watch it again so I can understand even just a little bit what exactly happened! Because I was so confused after Episode 14.
  10. Yes, I will have hope until the final two episodes. We have been pleasantly surprised by this drama thus far so I hope and pray that they did not change the writer for the last 4 episodes and brought in a makjang expert! hahaha True to your words, many kdramas have started great, with intriguing plots and lovable characters only to disappoint us in the final episodes and break our kdrama-loving hearts. For now, I do not want to spend the next few days hating Jun! hahaha I was reading on Naver about Ep. 14's scenes and knetizens were all expressing disappointment with Jun and the writer. Otokke Junah?! Otokke LJW!?! Everyone is behind Rara on this one, not only Eunpo folks but all DDSSLLS fans, Jun better have a convincing, heartfelt and believable explanation for his silly actions next week or else as I have said in my previous now deleted comment, he does not deserve our pure sunshine Rara. Drama gods, please bring our Jun back! hahaha
  11. I am editing my post after re-watching the Ep. 14. It's a sad episode with little interactions from our OTP. I miss them being cute and happy. Anyway, I think this episode is a set-up for the big reveal of Jun being the true DDSSLLS next week. I still can't figure out the exact reasons for his actions (holding hands with the girl classmate, break up, airport scene, etc.) this episode but found comfort that Jun is doing everything for Rara's protection. I think it was not a coincidence that Rara said in their beach scene that somewhere in Jun's rejection is a warm affirmation so the fact that Jun said his favorite "shiroh" in the break up scene speaks volume. The entire episode showed how the men (Seunggi, Dr. Cha) thoughtfully advised Rara not to look at one side of the coin only, Jun has gained good friends and allies indeed. I miss Grandpa and I hope he wakes up soon to give Rara one part of her revelation. The writer purposely withheld a lot of vital information this episode but I believe that it is necessary for the plot. Remember opening scene of Ep. 1, who knew it would be such an important scene for our main characters. We have seen one layer of Ep. 14 hopefully all its layers will be revealed in the first half of Ep. 15 I just want it to be resolved quickly so we can have more sweet and happy moments with Jun and Rara. Rara remains kind, understanding, bright and positive person that she is amidst everything she's going through. No wonder Jun is completely head over heels, how can one not gravitate towards such person. It's such a shame that it's ending next week, I saw some posts from naver that they are demanding season 2 for Rara and Jun! hahaha Why not? Drama gods, can you hear us?
  12. I hope it's just red herring because if Jun would go that path of saving Lala land by going through all these cliches then he does not deserve Rara. How can he hurt a ball of pure sunshine like Rara?! Why make her cry and suffer? why??? I think it's out of character for Jun to just suddenly abandon all reason, break the heart of the love of his life and follow his parents' wishes. He's the "no" man, we all know he's capable of moving heaven and hell to be with Rara. If at all, all these cliche tropes will happen in Ep. 14, and we all know they'll end up together in Ep 16, I hope Rara gives him such a hard time in Ep. 15-16! hahaha So please Junahhhh, wake up! All these stills and promotional videos are giving me a headache. May the kdrama gods hear us and bring in the light and fluffy that we all need, DDSSLLS, don't fail me now.
  13. This has got to be one of the best wedding crash scenes in all of Kdrama land, well in my book it's the best! Brilliant acting, editing and directing I love the fact that Jun looked at Dr. Cha as if telling him that "I can't believe you, she's mine!" Must have been hard for LJW to walk that aisle with such a serious expression, I remember in one of The Swoon games, he was tasked to cat walk and end with a chic finish only to fail for GAR was looking at him. One thing that endeared me with this scene was the way Jun always looked back at Rara while they were running away, as if making sure she's okay and still there with him (too many dramas of the men just dragging the poor girls around without regard if they're safe or ok with it). I also liked the fact that Rara was looking at him as if Christmas came early This one was made for the laughs and anticipation for the next episode but like the whole DDSSLLS has been all this time, warms you up on a cold lonely night
  14. I can forgive Jun in shorts for the majority of the drama was during the summer. Now that their timeline is in the colder months, I don't think he'll risk it;) Maybe in the future time jump we'll see him again in shorts hahaha
  15. Just saw this in twitter https://twitter.com/iloveleejaewook/status/1328477706934214657?s=20
  16. Thank you @JenL, I really did not expect to love this drama as much as do now. I was expecting an ordinary rom com and sadly I've been on a Kdrama slump the past months, many are so good and interesting but their plots are often predictable and reused by so many other previous kdramas. I only decided to watch DDSSLLS because of Go Ara whom I have liked as Najung in Reply 1994. The first two episodes of DDSSLLS made me laughed so much! I was expecting an irritating heroine in Gu Rara but was pleasantly surprised when she turned out to be likeable, relatable and a ball of sunshine. Go Ara is playing Rara in a way that brightens one's heart during this time of uncertainty and gloom. I was expecting the normal hero in Sunwoo Jun- the handsome, rude and condescending type but was corrected again because Jun turned out to be hardworking, gentleman, kind, sweet (he said sorry to Rara right away when he got mad at her for touching his things in Ep 3, a rare sight in kdramaland!) and so hopelessly in love. Kudos to Lee Jae wook for playing him with such innocence and quiet strength. By the time, Jun is wiping Rara's tears, lending her money, feeding her, biking her around, renovating his room for her, etc, I was hooked, lined and sinkered with this drama. I also want to point out the genius of its writer for keeping us on our toes every episode for we cannot predict the outcome per episode! hahahah Until, we are in debate who the real DDSSLLS is, and certainly we did not expect a runaway bride Rara with Jun last episode. Up until now, it's making me chuckle like Harabuji whenever I see the fake wedding clip. I just thank the kdrama gods and the twinkling stars up above for Go Ara and Lee Jae wook pairing, it's a tandem we did not expect but it's a pairing we didn't know we needed. May the odds and stars be ever in Rara and Jun's favor! On to Ep. 13;)
  17. Thank you @stroppyse, I am usually a silent reader of threads for Kdramas but I really love DDSSLLS and can't help but join in the fun of your thread. Just want to point out that Jun is supposed to take his GED in spring of 2021 and I assumed it's over by the time he took Rara away from the fake wedding hahaha but he still need to take his CSAT in Nov of that year so I am assuming that we'll see more time leaps in the next episodes. I cannot wait until he is out of university and can freely date or marry Rara. He is a very mature and responsible 19 year old (despite the fact that he ran away from home because of a traumatic event in his life) and I am certain through his character traits and developments that he'll become a great adult. I hope Rara continues to grow as well so when they finally can be together, they can have a life that is worthy of their sacrifices. One more thought, I really loved the part when Rara said that Jun's friend's death is not his fault, I felt sorry for Jun for it seemed that Rara was the only one who told him that. In that moment, I think that her mere words and comfort freed Jun from his past. It shows how intuitive and understanding Rara is especially to Jun. Kudos to Go Ara and Lee Jae Wook for portraying their roles so well and so heartfelt that I cannot but root for their characters every step of the way. Ah Wednesday, why so far away?;)
  18. Hi! If you will look at the banner of Jaemin's competition, it's written there 2020. 9. 19. So Rara's abduction happened at September and when she got separated with Jun. Their reunion happened a month later in October and their break up happened sometime in late November or early Dec (look at Jun's phone when he was texting Harabuji and it said there Nov. 28., it was also the day that Jun rushed to Rara because of the bike accident). Then the time jump to the fake wedding 6 months later which is early May of 2021. By then Jun should be a legal adult in Korea like Hayoung and Seunggi when they said that they're adults to their mothers when they presented their business plan. Koreans all age one year on Jan. 1 and they just celebrate their bday but as far as age goes, Jun is considered legal adult as of Jan of 2021. In Ep. 11, Jun's mother said that he has to take the GED in spring and sit for his university exams in autumn, usually univ results come out at winter time. I guess Jun is waiting to be admitted to college so he can date rara freely. I hope this helps;) I am really enjoying DDSSLLS like you.
