  1. I see Yeah, no way I can do that
  2. Did you ever watch something so focussed, that your freshly made dinner/lunch in front of you went cold? So you finish dramas even though you don't like them anymore? Talking about, I dropped dramas because of this with only two episodes left.
  3. Finally able to watch Ep7 today Episode 7 Go Eun talking abour her sister was so sad and heart-breaking, especially the last meal they had together. Go Eun was so loud and bubbly, full of life and her sister the complete oppostive. She silently said farewell and knew she would end her life. Also, and this may just be a site note, what kind of police or medics would step over and over again on a bag lying on the ground? Not only due to the fact that it's possibly evidence, but also because it's disrespectful. Who steps stuff that is lying on the ground on purpose in a situation like that? Do-Ki putting everything down and heading to Gu Eun was so cute ♥ It felt so good when Do-Ki hit this ex-boyfriend punk with the helmet. I felt so happy to see his blood being spilled. I wished he would have hit him a lot, lot more though. Also felt good to finally hit that continuesly filming assistant with that camera. I doubt he is dead though. There is a permanently delete all data on the screen for every worker without any security or double check-up and it deletes everything from every computer in the company? I was actually expecting a little more hacking by beauty-cutie and creating distractions to secretly removing it....but a "delete all" button will do too. Well, they have a restoring ability, but still I was a little bit confused. So basically we aren't really closer of catching the bad guys, Do-Ki will save the Prosecutor Kang and potentially will blow his cover to Kang and the CEO. I also wonder how Kang will react to this, since it's also kinda vigilantism. I doubt we will wrap up this case next episode aswell, we need to find the real servers and take them all down. According to the preview we need to prepare ourselves for Do-Ki getting beaten-up and take a few hits, only to then release the kraken, in the form of himself, and beat everyone to pieces....or even death. It looks like to at least the CEO will be able to escape. But it also looks like Go Eun will be back in action, find and erase the servers, reporting it to Do-Ki and tell him to destroy them all. Payback time! The epilogue is so sad.
  4. Yes, me too. Probably the only flaw One Spring Night had and almost ruined it. It such a common mistake kdramas make. it REALLY did traumatize me, so I haven't watched any movies since. Uhhh, nice. Congratz @mademoiselle Did she get some superpowers now? Can she, for example, turn milk into cacao with the help of some magical powder?
  5. But I think this reply might be a hint what potentially make her join the Rainbow Team. Because their help is always immediate. She will fight the longterm fights, but they will grant immediate help. I really don't know otherwise what role she will be playing in this drama. So far her character doesn't have a lot of depth. Oh this was so brutal, I kinda hope they don't. Another major case of abusing girls. But it might be possible.
  6. Pacing is probably after plot the second most important thing. Filler episodes are the worst. Or forced breakups during the last or second to last episodes. Sounds like every second drama I watched Oh waiiiit, I DID watch ONE korean movie.....from 2003, action-thriller called "Oldboy". Movie was.....okay.....but kinda disturbing and crazy. So probably that's why I sticked with dramas.
  7. Yeah totally opposite. A romance between Do-Ki and Hana would feel set up. I don't mind if there is no romance plot at all, but if they add one, totally cutie-beauty and Do-Ki.
  8. Uhhhh Another plus point for "Do You Like Brahms". No, I haven't. But anything with League in it sounds nice. Hold on young lady! I said I liked the 2nd FL, I ABSOLUTELY did not like the second OTP at all. He was a jerk and she was waaaaaay too good for him. I actually shipped her with the Main Lead. They would have been such a great couple. But yes, I liked the drama, it had some very funny scene and a nice plot overall. Nothing special, but a nice watch back then. To be honest? Maybe that's just me, but that's what I demand from an actor/actress. Total determination to their role. I mean on one hand the craft of acting needs to be at least above average. If I see clunky conversations or superficial acting, I'm losing interest in seconds. I mean not anyone can be acting monsters like Lee Bo Young, Ji Chang-wook or Yoo Ji-Tae, but I admit I have expectations. And that doesn't stop there, if your role has a special skill or in this case, plays an instrument, I expect them to practice it so hard, that they can actually play it at a decent level. Yeah, same. Especially since the gyms have closed I feel the same way. Lack of sport. I actually seeked help in this regard.
  9. @mademoiselleBuuut alrightey, to make it a little easier I give you the rare list of things I like in a drama. Classical Music, Kpop or anything you can jam to. A great OST Slice of Life Melodrama Sport/Soccer Any dramas that can teach me something Male first lead I can identify with Agents Assassins Lone Wolfs Army/War Teams that go against the baddies/companies or work in any other way together to achieve something Lee Bo Young A beautiful 2nd lead, that is actually way better than the first lead. Examples can be requested. Crime stuff Law or Judges. Revenge Stories @abs-oluteMDo you remember Strongest Deliveryman? I noticed it was missing from my list and I remembered the CUTE 2nd lead there. I noticed it was from 2017! Time passes so fast!
  10. Yeah......yeah......Keep going......uhhh the FL is the FL of Judge vs Judge. I like it, I like it. Classical music...oh yeah....grooooovey~ A 2nd lead that annoyed Queen noonalicious? She must be perfect, nice and h-h-h-h-hooot~
  11. But with neck, sweat and tears on the line. (BTS really should have named their song like this) I never thought I would say the following line in my life, but @abs-oluteM is a bit like Lee Bo Young. I already know this sentence will haunt me and will be quoted in the future. She recommended me so much good stuff, if she puts her neck on the line for something, especially something I dislike, I know I should look into it, if I have the time. I'm a bit like Baek from Taxi Driver....minus the illegal stuff, killing people, beating people, caring only for money, paying people, loaning money, being cold like ice, sleeping with shady guys.... and I probably don't look as good........so basically like I said.....I have absolutely nothing in common with her.....but one thing we have in common, I work with trust. You know how many dramas people throw at you with tons of praises? You need to filter! So I made exceptions......for @abs-oluteM and.... once for kokodus......but lil sis is a different story. Probably because the actor was more well known, but I guess that's a typical still active idol disease. When an idol is caught dating, hell is raining down on them, you can imagine if there is actual visual material of them kissing someone, even if its just on television. 1am Now it's my time to shine. I noticed I write at double speed after midnight
  12. If I would have watched every drama of any second lead I ever loved or thought was beautiful I probably would have watched every drama in existence. Second leads are always better. A couple being married WITH KIDS? And then he gets younger again? How in the world would I be able to enjoy that? Haven't you learned anything? I hope they were better in Temptation than in Liar.
  13. There was so much space between their chins, you have have parked a small car between it. I still imagine how the producer on set was next to them with a ruler and a magnifier in hand to make sure the lips were just barely touching. Just don't upset any fans and spoil her image of being pure. So glad we got a second real kiss by the second OTP though. If you mean Liar, the one we talk about was with them being on a bike. There was another potential one in a phone booth, but although they both were in the right neck positioning, it was clearly visible that their lips were always 2cm apart from each other Gosh, the end was so bad But I watched it til the end because I LOVED the second lead. Roh Jeong-Eui was so pretty.
  14. Don't get me wrong. Me too. I am all in for erasing everything, beating them up to pieces and making videos of it aswell. Fire with fire. I am sure don't want to involve Prosecutor Kang at all, but I am sure at one point she will intervene with something. It also looks like Do-Ki has kind of a soft spot for her, since when he defended the companies CEO in front of her he did feel bad. I don't think he has ANY interest in her, since I still think he is a bit into Go Eun. The justice is powerless in this case, like Kang already said, she needs to dig up other stuff to get them. This could be the sexual abusive videos, but I do not think Blue Bird would let that happen. On the other hand, she passed the case to Blue Bird and asked for protection, so it will be complicated since she knows that this is happening. She just needs to get evidence. Watching crime dramas in general, reading articles about idols/ceos/managers on various korean sites really gave me the impression that you can get away with everything in korea. Oh man, that would make me so furious and angry. That's stuff where my protective instinct kicks in. I never travelled to SK myself, but I had a good german friend who went to SK with her best friend and said, when clubbing, they had to constantly check every drink and cover each others back, literally because men would approach them constantly and try to do things. She also said once some people looked at her like she was just a walking, breathing sex toy. I really would not want to live or work in such an envoirment. I would get in so much trouble with the wrong people.
  15. That's the flaw of a lot of dramas though. There are barely any dramas that will totally surprise you at the end. And the ones who do, they do something so crazy, that you wished the ending were the predicatable one. Well, I think of it whenever I see Red Velvet or Joy in particular. She was really the nail in the coffin for my "no Idols in dramas" point. For some reason I actually haven't watched a single korean movie so far. I don't know why, but I never had an interest in it.
  16. What I also actually liked this episode was including the bulldozer gadget again for dealing with the first minion. Normally these stuff is only used for one episode, pretty much after the engineer present it to the hero, does something with it once and it's never seen again. I was happy they included it again. I also wished U-Data was already concluded this week, because I knew waiting for a whole week will be tough, so the longer the episode went I was like: "Oh nooooo, seems like we won't solve the case this week. " Yeah, it's sexual abuse again against women. I was hoping we don't touch it again soon. I prepare to see a lot of suffering from Go Eun. For the case,I fear it will go even deeper, when the former uploader mentioned "heavy" oploads, I immediately thought of the dark web, so I fear there will be cases of child abusing, violence and other sick stuff. So basically the job got even harder. Not only do they need to take down the company, the CEO and the strategic planning Team, they also need to erase every single video/file. And I fear that this will interfere potentially with Prosecutor Kang, because deleting the videos/files also means erasing evidence to bring them down by the law. I'm not worried for the rest of the team, because Cho Do Chul only knows or "met" Do-Ki and Mr.Jang. He doesn't know there is a Team behind it, so I think his first target is going to be Mr.Jang. The question is how Baek will continue in this regard, will she tell Mr.Jang or does she try to find CDC first? Holy......what? Gosh, sometimes I am happy I only watch KDramas and doesn't live/work there. That's insane! This would never be possible here.
  17. Rainy days will make it even harder to watch it. The drama itself is very depressing. Especially if you're a mother yourself, I wouldn't recommend watching it, unless you're a pro of seperating. Don't get me wrong, the drama itself is fan-tas-tic, I've never felt so nervous while the drama does so little. The drama is so calm in telling you it's story. No flashing lights, no action, no hard cuts, just story. The drama is crazy challenging from an emotional pov. It asks so many difficult questions. What do you do in a world where suddenly everything around you, family, cops, friends, co-workers, media, literally every single person is suddenly your enemy? That was actually @abs-oluteMachievement. She knew my antipathy against time traveling, but still put her neck on the line for Tunnel. That made me curios, her putting her neck on the line for a drama that I clearly would dislike bc of this? And it was fantastic. Actually I also watched Joy from Red Velvet in "Lover & a Liar", because I love music plots and her being my fav of Red Velvet, although I don't listen to their music a lot. I also begin to watch Idol turned actresses who retired like Nana for example. Once they stop being idols they actually have a sort of freedom and don't need to be just fanservice. Joys "kiss" in Liar was so bad. Oh gawd What the heck? I didn't know and just read the story and it's the DEFINITION of trying to be fancy I actually loved your list of adding dramas to each point. Let's me know which dramas I need to avoid. But know I am really also interested in the opposite way. I will do my list I like in a bit. Looks like @Chocolateand I are the complete opposite
  18. Episode 6 Cutie-beauty being a little jealous and saying Kang was a fox was so cute. I liked the face she made while telling Do-Ki. And his sweet little present to her, she totally liked it, even if she complained at first of him thinking of her as a child. Mr.Jang was quite impressed by Prosecutors Kangs little "on my own" speech in front of her boss and that other prosecutor. I wonder if he tries to involve her more into his stuff. So Baek is actually involved in organ trafficking? Damn that woman really is dark. I can understand why Do-Ki said he doesn't feel good involving her. She must be a cruel enemy. So we also know what she meant in the karaoke room saying to the young guy paying with his face. This will get really ugly at one point. Do Chul escape will definitely cause a huge problem. I was hoping we end this episode with already having with the first scum, but oh boy were the last 5 minutes hard to endure. So we kinda learned why So Eun joined the team and what happened to her sister. Seems like her sister An Jung Eun was the victom of a hidden recorded sex video, where she was probably even raped. So she probably commit suicide because of this. The former "heavy" uploader also mentioned that this was his job, uploading the.....disguisting..... stuff. I can only imagine what deep, disguisting things are uploaded in this cloud. I really, really hope we get revenge soon in the next episode, but from the trailer it looks like we haven't started yet. There will be issues with Kang it seems. Six episodes in and we already have the whole width of disguisting things happening. Not even Childen of Nobody was so quick in digging up the stuff that makes you wanna puke. Can we just get revenge, please?
  19. Well, many points are similiar to mine. I don't know much about scripts and I don't think I tend to avoid any actors/actresses. I forgot pacing on my list. That's really something that kills me in both directions. When the OTP already kisses in the first two episodes I am already out, same goes if they drag the story endlessly and don't get to the point. I think here do we start to differ quite a bit. So we are actually different. I think I will make a similiar list of things that drag me into a drama, but I will wait until the suns sets for this. What version of you would I be? I tend to write more and differently when it's night/evening, so I absolutely see where you come from. Look at you noona Still able to read me like a book. Exactly, for slice of life, I need a male pov that I can identify with, something I can relate to, which can be very different stuff. PNB was your recommendation masterpiece back then because it hit exactly the spot I was looking for, so many pov's that I was able to resonate with and was able to understand it. Fairy was similiar, because I knew what NJH was thinking and why he acted the way he did. Especially since I remember back then in the Fairy threads, most of the girls weren't able to get why he or his brother acted in the way they did. So I could provide a pov that they didn't get at first. I loved Fairy because it showed me something I had already forgotten, a new perspective on love. To @abs-oluteM's displease though, I think I learned the most from Shi Ho. (Am I allowed to mention the name without us getting into a war?) What? The FL from Queen of Mystery? How in Johnny's name is that supposed to work? I can already imagine the lackluster of chemistry between them. Actually she might be someone I would put on my list of actresses I avoid, not because she was bad, but because her role in both seasons of Queen of Mystery was so "iconic" for me. I will always see her as that kind of ahjumma. Especially since I listen to the OST so often during the week. I have a big list of videogames for rainy days, so I am totally busy in this regard. Old dramas/new dramas, I am always afraid when a drama is heading towards the end, because I always feel like they run out of time to solve every last plot. 'Mother' was the last ending I was actually quite satisfied with, gosh, that drama was so good. Hard to watch, but fantastic. I really hate open endings, One Spring Night had one, I think The Package also had one, it's so unsatisfying. It feels like there are episodes missing or they weren't able to put it to an end. Oh for surely-urly I would not say One Spring Night fits all three keywords. It had depth, but it was in no way meaningful or had substance. But what drama would be able to cover all three keywords? The only drama that comes to my mind spontaneously is.....again.....'Mother'.
  20. Well, we can change this easily, here is my mydrama-list -> click It really looks like I didn't watch any drama in 2020. I almost can't believe it. I remember the story, it was interesting for sure, but other dramas do have that aswell, it's really a good drama, but I wouldn't link these three keywords to Healer. Nnnaaaaaaaaahh I am actually quite happy as it is. Having a good one currently, LBY is in the pipeline, I am totally gucci for now
  21. No, but well, I already have an ongoing drama and this one is pretty already over. You want me to watch a drama that is already 16 episodes in? You crazy? Too late. Yepyep, sadsad. Can't do nothing. *case closed* *closing folder* *putting it down* *moving it back across the table to @mademoiselle* I did everything I could. Yep! That stuff is going to be expeeeeeeensive as hell. Oh boyohboyohboy. Some peeps are going to make moneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey
  22. Honestly, and this is probably just me, but as much as I LOVED Healer, the three traits you mentioned wouldn't be actually things I would link to Healer. Meaningful? Depth? Substance? Mhm. It was very entertaining, cool, a beautiful love story with a fantastic actor, even heart-warming and something I will remember as great drama that I will definitely watch again in the future. But when I think about those three keywords you mentioned, I would rather list dramas like "Mother", "One Spring Night" or "Children of Nobody". I agree you on this one and understand what you mean. I guess that's a benefit of not having any oppas at all and so few really actresses? noonas? I like. The only actress or roles that really disappointed me over and over was Kyung Soo Jin and after "Radiant Office" I was also a bit sad that Park Se Wan, who only had a minor role, also only got roles in teenage dramas, which are totally not my thing. I honestly don't know why I tried to watch it, I guess I wanted to find another good Slice of Life drama, since they are really rare and good ones are even harder to find. That what I meant with stereotypes on my list. Outdated tropes or stereotypes like pretty much all Chaebol dramas are just.....so ugh.
  23. The decisions she made It's all coming back to me now. Another reason why I enjoy Taxi-Driver so much currently. It actually reminded me of "Transporter" with Jason Statham. The simple car, the lil tricks like changing licence plates. The sunglasses and cool shots of everything. It's also a bit different, since the character in Transporter transports whatever he is paid for and doesn't ask any questions, but he also kinda fights against the bad guys later in the movies. I really dig the style so far, the sounds and OST are fantastic, I just hope we get a lot of cool cases and cool stuff of people getting revenge. I mean, after all, it's a drama, so I enjoy a bit of vigilantism and kicking the bad guys in the nuts. I think you would notice Yep, TOTALLY a creature of the night aswell. My days start late and my nights go long. I hope that doesn't change soon. Talking to me before noon is a mistake many people make only once. You don't get a straight sentence of me. A few people even wait until sunset before talking to me with specific topics. Ohhh booooooy I can already see them being sold on ebay for tremendous amounts of moneeeeeey. Kpop Stans pay crazy amounts of money for limited stuff like this. I know that, because I sold them stuff aswell
  24. Episode 5 Cutie-beauty Go Eun was so sweet at the start, caring so much for Do-Ki. I loved her piercing gaze towards them, making both uncomfortable, although she fought for Do-Ki. I really wouldn't mind a little romantic story on the side, their scene on top of the roof was already very cute, so I would not mind if they take this a little further. I mean, the taxi scene WAS SO CUTE aswell. I don't know if I saw it correctly, but it looked like he was in front of her house already. Seems he had the same idea of contacting her. I just love classical music in dramas. Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons - Winter" makes the scene of Mr.Jang talking about the family of Do-Chul so much more powerful. It was such a power move to confront him with his own daughter & family. I wonder if Kang Ha-Na is actually at one point, maybe not fully, transfering to the work Deluxe Taxi is doing and providing some legal advise or action, because she sees how powerless she actually feels right now. Todays case is actually about some powerful Manager having enough power to not be charged by the law and even having the necessary means to just have prosecutors work in his favor. Sometimes I wonder if companies or stuff like that truly exists in korea. So our team takes this case without having an actual client, working behind the victims back to take down the company. Kang showing up at the U-company will cause trouble, that's for sure, I just wonder if that maybe changes the plan of them teaming up and this time take them down the legal way. Maybe this will be the first bigger case that takes more than two episodes? I mean we probably have to assume Do-Ki going through some suffering, pain and other stuff tomorrow, I just wonder if it will be going as smooth as before now that Kang is involved. The Epilogue made me so sad. I hope we learn more about what happened to cutie-beauty's sister.
  25. Me too. It was so hard to endure. Like @JenLsaid, just the fact Maria having mental disabilities created such a big gap of power imbalance. It made every scene, every abuse even harder than it already was. Her suffering was so cruel, that I caught myself thinking everything Do-Ki is doing is more than suitable and deserved. Especially after it was revealed that Maria was raped and given birth control pills as "Happy"-Pills. In the same scene she also says to the younger brother that she needs to know before if he needs a "plaything" or a "workthing", and to not switch them up, which suggested me that she also did this in the past and brought him girls only to rape them. He did so many cruel things, that I felt bad that not a single baseball hit him and that he got away quite fine. I mean I think he got the same fate as the insurance woman, who probably just froze to death, by just dying in an underground garage. I asked myself the same question too and realized that this is all about short- and longtime justice. Seeing all of the perpetrators so far, I always felt like something has to happen asap, someone has to rescue them, deal with them or protect them. So whenever Do-Ki punished them, it was immediate satisfaction which didn't last very long. Doing it by law is probably the better way to deal with them permanently, but takes way longer and gives them the chance to escape the law somehow. So it's really hard to tell, in the first case the immediate punishment and violence was actually all I asked for, I wanted them to suffer. The things they did to Maria were horrible that I honestly forgot my sense of justice myself. I'm sure at one point we will be exactly there. Either someone abuses the system, telling a lie of some kind and killing/hurting someone innocent or a client will be someone who is currently under the pain of Baek. Baek is abusing, hurting and torturing so many people, that they actually could end up as clients for Deluxe Taxi. And I feel like Baek is not an enemy you want to have. Especially since it always feels like Do-Ki isn't averse of working for Baek.
