  1. I am really enjoying this drama so far, one of the biggest draws for me is the fact that we have 2 distinct couples. The whole angle to avoid having a love triangle or square is great in my book.

Siwan & Se Kyung's chemistry is amazing, I love watching them in scenes together. I also enjoy how well each character is written, their dialogue when they're together. They're opposite, but totally get each other.

Tae Oh & Sooyoung are off to a great start as well, as some random person on Twitter said: I enjoy chaotic beginnings to my ships. Although what I don't get is what's up with Dan Ah's younger brother? The family is just screwed, that much is obvious, but why is he so protective/obsessed over her? His interaction with Young Hwa was strange, I don't see how he would become so defensive when someone is visiting his sister who's in an extremely top position.

Blade Man was that drama that was so weird that I had to sit through and watch the whole thing lmao I was only mad at the ending, that didn't make any sense once you consider the actual plot. LDW has some misses, but at least it was somewhat enjoyable haha

I'm ready to hop on board this Siwan - Se Kyung ship and defend it with my life....unless either character does something dumb and I can't agree.

Thanks for the clarification. To be honest, I didn't know what an actor-idol group was supposed to be other than a marketing stunt to be able to leverage any single member's success for the group.  Unlike other idol groups who perform and release music together, it's not as as if 5urprise released very much together at all other than PR. I didn't realize that they had released any music together at all.

    Trailers do look cute.

No one knew what an actor-idol groups was before 5urprise....even some still didn't realize it because the agency did a horrible job at managing things when a member became popular. They released music & even performed, but most of their stuff was in Japan so no surprise that no one really knew. I have all of their music they released, but Japanese imports are costly even for a small cd lol

@Tofu Lol yeah most remember when Kang Joon was on roommate and we saw how poor they were, sometime after that they moved into a bigger place & were on another show together. Reality type where there's cameras set up all over the place & the weirdos still never bought a couch or table because "they were used to not having it" lol Yooil does musicals so he's not really known amongst the general drama viewer public.

I have high hopes mostly because Siwan is good at picking projects and I hope Se Kyung does well here, her agency is strange & usually pick up weird shows for her. I'm also glad to see Tae Oh here, for a minute he was popular in Vietnam.

I just need a cute romance drama with no weird & stressful situations.

  6. Ok after seeing all the trailers for this, it's gonna be a cute drama and I'm excited. Siwan & Shin Se Kyung look adorable together as do Sooyoung & Tae Oh (though we knowwww Soo is with Jung Kyung Ho so I can't get too excited over their chemistry lol)

Oh to answer your question from the first post @stroppyse, Tae Oh was part of 5urprise which was an actor-idol group which meant they released music (though I remain bitter since they barely did that) & actually lived together, but were also trained as actors. 4/5 members started their own agency with a former manager (which Tae Oh is now part of with Yooil, Lee Tae Hwan, & Seo Kang Joon) with Gong Myung being the only one who moved on elsewhere.

  8. How does one ONLY choose 5? There's so many to choose from, but I'll attempt to narrow it down -

All About My Mom - a weekender so it is gonna be long, but the story never dragged to me. Choi Tae Joon & Jo Bo Ah were my all time favorites as a young couple in this one.

Oh My Venus - I'm currently re-watching this one for the 20th time, it's super cute & *spoiler alert* no one actually breaks up in this drama (yay!). Plus you get all the hotness that is So Ji Sub in here.

Put Your Head On My Shoulder - A C-drama I recently discovered while browsing Netflix one fine day. If you ever want a fluffy, light drama that just makes your heart melt when you watch it...this is it.

Easy Fortune Happy Life - An e Tw-drama that I go back to every now & then. It's cheesy and you can def tell it's older, but it's a classic for me.

It's Okay To Not Be Okay - One of the single greatest dramas of our lifetime. No joke, the chemistry & the well thought out details in everything made this drama worthwhile.

    Honorable mentions:

    Shopping King Louis

Because This Is My First Life

    1% of Something (KR ver)

    It Started With A Kiss

    Just Between Lovers

I have more....I just can't think of them lol

  9. Ok idk if anyone here watches Saturday Night Live (SNL) in the US, but occassionally they'll release a Digital Short during an episode and this year's songs were soooo good.

It's suppose to be funny, but the songs were catchy -

SNL Cast (Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Kenan Thompson, Pete Davidson) ft. Megan Thee Stallion - Bottom of Your Face

Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, & Ego Nwodim - Lockdown Song

Not much to say about this I guess since I wasn't around for the early years as well. I only really became aware of them and started listening to their music around 2016 after their KCON appearance. But, I have no idea who the British boy group is, or even BAP or 1D.

Prior to BTS and a few other bands like Day6 or Crying Nuts, I mostly listened to American music styles with some European (Sigur Ros anyone? Love them.). Just realized that they're all male bands, though, my musical tastes tend to be gender neutral in other genres. LOL

Anyway, getting back to k-pop girl groups, I'm aware of Blackpink, of course, because they seem to be everywhere, 2NE1 because how could I not even if they're now disbanded, and After School which seemed an interesting concept, though hard to get behind with graduating members. To be honest, I know who SNSD are and that they are probably the original mega-girl group, but I can't recall any of their songs. So, the songs that have been posted to this thread have been very interesting and educational for me.

    Thank you

Haha I should have just said One Direction, when they disbanded BTS benefitted a lot when those fans had nowhere else to go & flocked there (it can also explain why quite a bit of the fandom are inherently anti-Black, that's another topic). BAP is also a boy group that debuted around the same time as BTS (and EXO) and were considered a wall at their peak, they declined when they ended up suing their agency (TS) for better treatment. When BAP basically went away during their lawsuit, many fans went to BTS or EXO.

BLACKPINK could actually bet bigger if YG wasn't so dumb & actually gave them more songs to release during their earlier time. They debuted same year as WJSN (Cosmic Girls) & within one year, WJSN had more songs. The joke was newer groups had more songs than BP. The girls are crazy talented, but management is less than stellar though one shouldn't be surprised since YGE also messed up 2NE1.

SNSD was actually the first kpop group I discovered and it's amazing how I branched out so much away from them since then.
