I was actually thinking how pretty Seven was crying at that moment. I totally think it was eye drops. But the good kind so it feels real. She didn't have a runny nose and blotchy face that kind of crying would display. I think as a first legal son how he was treated very differently from his sisters. In a way he's like his dad, who can seem really nice to everyone, but like Main wife in that he has more backbone. This show is really showing us how an upbringing affect characters. People who were raised with kindness are kind, people who were spoiled end up like Qiao and Wang.

I know that. I don't think Shiyi has done any wrong to Erniang. But I think Erniang thinks she's been wronged. She doesn't seem like the type to have an epiphany that her younger sister has never tried to hurt her. But she might forgive her for submitting the photo and understand that she was just unlucky. Shiyi knows too well that her sister hates her. Which is sad. I know she expects nothing from Erniang. I guess since I am finding Erniang both pathetic and annoying I am really hoping she can be redeemed. Like can the sisters can join forces since they are both from important families. The Xu's being more powerful than the Wang's We know Shiyi will be in trouble later with the court, will her sister step in and help her?

Finally finished 35 and 36 How long will it take before Amber realises that her suspicions are wrong about Dong Qing? Also do you think Erniang will forgive Shiyi? You can see she is fully loyal the Shiyi now, but I find it funny that she's the one with suspictions.

It’s okay. She’s MDL famous. Technically she had her own channel on YouTube. I read a lot of comments on MDL for different shows and inevitably someone mentions her. I think she’s on a Chinese Bilibli too. I do think she’s kinda funny to watch. I just know that our tastes tend to be polar opposite.

I’m sure she did. She’s obsessed with WOH right now. She’s not even eating or sleeping because of it. But she also hates Mary Sue characters, voice dubs, and a bunch of things I don’t really pay attention to. She gave a scathing review of the Rebel Princess so I could tell she isn’t really into this type of historical drama. I doubt she and I could be friends either. But she is popular, I think because she gives reviews in English and has some industry background. What I hate is people quote her a lot like she’s Roger Ebert of cdrama land. She’s just another viewer like us.

@SnT Really I had no idea. I haven't watched the General and I. I have learned that AvenueX and I don't share the same taste, when she basically hated Go Ahead, whereas I loved it. But I like the industry knowledge she provides. I know not to watch her reviews, especially if I am in the middle of watching a show. Afterwards I don't mind so much because I've already made up my mind. Anyways my reaction was less about her than it was a viewer using her review to justify their own feelings. The Shiyi about to be hanged is from this show. It's in the OST but yeah @SnT also said it was from the General and I.

Probably an unhealthy amount. So I can't be that picky, but I know what I like. I like - Houye - he is so in love with Shiyi. It's really sweet. Wallace is good had falling in love first. I kind of feel like it's his specialty. - Shiye - I'm a blunt, fly off the handle kind of person so I am really loving her calm, smart, patient personality - The romance between the maid and Houye's subordinate Lin Bo (I think) is both cute and funny - I don't mind the politics and war of the wives so long as Shiyi wins. - I am enjoying their getting to know you naturally romance. This is more than enough reasons for me to watch. @SnT Thank you. I watched the whole thing but I don't really speak Chinese. So I missed the whole plot about getting Erniang to adopt a son.

@SnT Honestly after going back and forth with one member yesterday about whether or not Shiyi was a good person or not and then reading about AvenueX's review and some comment about White Tea B***. I was fed up. I like watching dramas with other people and commenting about plots and characters. But it's out of hand on MDL. I feel like I am a simple viewer. I like the actors, I like the story, I think it flows nicely, therefore I will watch it. I know everyone is different. I do think continuity is a difficult thing to comment on with Cdramas because they have to go up against the censors. And I believe this was suppose to be 55 episode drama. But poor Danyang is having a lengthy pregnancy. Anyways it was nice to wake up this morning to yours and @AwkwarDerp comments this morning. Sometimes I just get tired arguing with people. Has anyone watched the trailers? I just watch one on instagram where:

My goodness. I've been away from this forum for a few weeks and it's up to 43 pages. Enjoyed reading everyone's comments. It's definitely healthier vibe here. I was getting annoyed and frustrated with the audiences on MDL. I know everyone can write what they want but the vibe was really harsh. I'm caught up to ep. 35. I wanted a break before the next couple challenge appeared. Also Erniang and Madam Xu were both getting too antangonistic to me. I know they are playing their part. But sometimes I need a break from the infighting. Anyways love this drama.

I am curious about that too. Wallace is fairly realistic when he kisses, but Seven has usually been chaste. I know she's been working towards more mature roles. And I understand that it was pretty hot in Dear Mayang Street. So I am really looking forward for Shi Yi to return the Marquis feelings. Don't get me wrong I love the slow burn chemistry so far. I don't want them to rush it too much.

I am such a slouch. I really respect their postures.

I like it. Janice is and the ML have good chemistry. Warning it is a melodrama, so there can be some annoying parts, for example her sister, and the ML ex-girlfriend. Also my Mandarin is terrible, but having to listen to the ML speak with a Cantonese accent makes it even harder to understand. But it's not all of the time, so I can get over it.

Has anyone started watching this yet? I am enjoying the drama, but there are so many annoying characters.
