The ending clearly showed Crown Prince Seongnam taking on the role of protector. She was walking in the Palace alone , it started to rain and he had an umbrella ready to shield her from the rain. That scene meant a lot to me because Seongnam has taken on the role PROTECTOR not only for his family but the Kingdom. Seongnam believes in doing the right thing . A kingdom can only prosper only if you have a good king. A corrupt King will ruin a kingdom and Seongnam takes that role very seriously.

I agree with you guys. GH -HJ couple will be pregnant. They always choose the pregnant tour for a couple to get married especially it is kinda forbidden love in Korea society

I quiet enjpyed the ending to this drama because this drama was really about the All mother shielding their children really. Althoug they chose to name it UNDER THE QUEEN"S UMBRELLA but it was about the battle between the woman in the Palace in fulfilling their ambitions. Queen Dowager - - > was greedy for power but also keeping her son in POWER Deposed Queen - -> Avenging the death of all her children, she was able to keep her grandson alive but not having the knowledge of everything her son did. Consort Hwang - - > She was just greedy to be QUEEN due to her father's greed and a form of brainwashing. Making her believe being QUEEN was her's. Queen Hwa Ryeong- - > All she wanted was to protect her husband, guide him to becoming a GREAT KING ( he is weak but with her she gave him confidence ) since she doesn't hate him for what he did in the past. She also wanted to protect all her husband's children to live carefree happy life under the safety that she can provide. Prince Seongnam - He isn't greedy or have any desire to be King but I don't think he will ever give up the seat unless his nephew proves that he can be a good king. He is the best king because he isn't easily corrupted, he knows what the people needs and he will do what must be done to protect his brothers. He also has united all the Royal ministers with his ideas or plan he wants to make happen. Prince Gyeongsong - - > left the place and will never return. He wants to be free and be himself. He knows staying in the Palace will only hurt his brothers and his mother Prince llyoung - -> He is the adventerous son who loves inventing things. Prince Muan - - > Finally becomes a responsible adult. Having a child finally made him grow up. He was willing to leave the palace for his family. Prince Uiseong - -> Finally grew up and realized that his greed and ambitions for the CRown has got him to kill his own father. Yi Ik -Hyeon allowed his son to kill him because he wanted his son to continue with his plan for revebge but than when will this revenge end.

Well said chingu Juvenile Justice was well done, so was Through the Darkness. I think these drama the ending was done right because each of the cases that was investigated was done logically and with no emotional attachment but with the evidence. I recommend Under the Queen's Umbrella, the ending to this drama was perfect because it matched the TItle of the drama also. THis drama was based on a mother's love and desire to protect their children. What they were willing to go through to achieve their goals.

so. I have no idea the amount of drama I watched this year. I have dropped way to many. I started them and then lost interest in them. I find I am preferring the Kdrama that are airing on Netflix when all episodes are dropped

Yes TJ does have a point SM but SM thinks all that attention is a must but SJ is annoyed by it. He said it himself he had to think of this entire family, so he had no time to date or be with someone. With everyone. All up I’m his affair that he could never escape everyone eyes on him. You are on point SJ is more in love with her but that is because TJ still has her guard up. The fact that she said yes and decided to date I’m took so much courage but her guard lightly up.

Me too I love the OTP and you were on point @stroppyse their story line is boring but I want Tae Ju to finally be someone who she can be honest and knows her best. SJ is her best friend and the one who makes her happy . It is his family who keep leeching off him and his sister who is SELFISH and rude. @Zoaze SJ is so in love with TJ that when you watch you can see that she is his light. It took for 13 episodes for Prince Muan to actully grow up just a tad bit. I wished he had matured a bit more but it looks like his mom will have to keep an eye out for him. It was brillliant of her to find a way to bring Cho wol in to the Palace. Queen Hwa Ryeong is truly the best mom. We also found out she personally took care of each of her sons. She was abl e to calm down her grandaughter Ah Ra when she cried. I wished she had given him a much harsher responsabiity though. Under the Queen's Umbrella has certainly Consort Hwang is either in cahoots with the Crown Prince’s uncle or not. After binge watching Ep 11-13 , my mind started thinking maybe Consort Hwang knew his identity but then again. There is no way that is possible. Would he really have had a sexual affair with the daughter of the men who murdered his brother. He hates the Chief State Counselor. Now that Chief State Counselor thinks his grandson will definitely inherit the thrones because he thinks his grandson is the Grand Prince son. Lol lol His daughter never told him who the father was but this old man is still scheming behind the scenes to get to the top. His grandson and his daughter all cut from the same cloth. Lol lol

She is very naive and I fear one thing that SR’s ex may manipulate her. Did you see how he tried to BRIBE HER. Lol lol This guy has no money and he isn’t a good person at all. I find SR’s ex so funny. He is the actual STALKEE because he is always following the CEO’s daughter to attach himself to her.

I can’t wait for her to find out about it. I like the CEO’s daughter, she is so sweet. She will be hurt but I wish she find out sooner than later. Her father and SR are so cute together. Watching them at the stationary store was so cute .

I can't help but feel that SJ's mom hasn't gotten over her trauma. I believe in this episode, her trauma is slowly being healed. SJ's mom is a horrible mom, for forcing SJ to be the breadwinner and become the CASH COW for the entire family. She has never once considered her son's happiness. She allowed her spoiled daughter to act wild and RUDE to everyone. She pretends to be nice in front of her mother but with everyone else she is so RUDE!!!! and selfish. Sang Mi - writer is trying to redeem Sang Mi.

You might be right @ktcjdrama I think she still put her kids a head of him and his family. Like when Sang Min actually had the nerve to tell her cousin to move out, when she was getting married. You and I both know , she would have kicked them out too. After everything he did for her , she would have allowed her precious daughter walk all over them. How she also tries to stop him from asking money from Sang Jun. Let’s be honest , I also think he need to make his own way, stop living off her son. But maybe she is the cause of his lack of success too. SJ’s mom’s attitude is so AROGANT sometimes that even I feel she needs to tone it down. She is a terrible mother because she forced him to be the man of house and forced him to be bread winner for everyone in her life. She allows her daughter to be RUDE & ARROGNAT and selfish.

I am so glad someone mentioned this. I was quiet confused. I know I watched all the episodes to not get confused with the storyline. Sang Jun always mentioned that Tae Ju is his first love and “ NOW HE CAN FINALLY BE HAPPY”. I am afraid that if SJ’s mom keeps mistreating Tae Ju , he wil leave that family or he will remain SINGLE FOREVER . She refuses to see that SJ loves TJ and she makes him happy. He is already treating her like his wife. He is honest , respectful and loving to her. We should all celebrate THEY ARE MARRIED. I hope they consumâtes the marriage. Sang Min is a THIEF!!! She steals her brother’s clothes to sell. I just don’t get why SR never teaches her daughter to be respectful and caring. How many of you guys think SJ’s cousin hates his AUNT???? I certainly do think he hates her. Although she took him in, she didn’t treat him like a real family member. She was biased when it came to her kids. I hate Sj’s cousins wife. I am on Cloud Nine since finishing watching episode 11 . Now I am so terrified at will happen next. Prince Seongnam's life is IN danger and the the greedy Queen Dowager only seems to care about Power. Clearly we saw her reactiong to Prince Uiseong . Prince Uiseong now want to commit Regicide like what happened with Previous Crown Prince. His own mother is already prepared to go forward even knowing her son isn't the King's son. ktcjdrama I agree with you she will betray him but I don't know if she loves him. I do wonder if Physician Kwon loves her though but I kind don't think so. I think he was just using her. I can't wait for their next ac though. lol lol

I did mention that before but everyone told me she would never cross that line. I suspected it because the King only loves his queen. He fatherd 4 son while everyone else only had one son with him. I am still watching right now Everyone I just thought is something Minister of War was from the same clas as the Previous Queen yet he is loya to the woman who murdered his relative. Isn’t that worrisome. Will the Queen Dowagers still support Prince Uiseong even knowing he isn’t hee grandson. What will she do???

OmG !!!! Consort Tae's voice was so annoying in this episode. I found this actress voice annoying in this drama but wow!! She was finally put in her place dreaming the big dream of becoming QUEEN . WE finally know why Queen Dowager has done all these horrible things and what power she really crave. She has finally obtaine ULTIMATE Power on these two Concubine. Concubine Hwang and Consort Tae. Consort Hwang was coveting the Queen Spot but gave it all up because she wanted her son to be Crown Prince Queen Dowager is evil

It is just typical in kdrama where a girl who has everything is jealous of someone who has nothing. A girl who is loved and spoiled rotten by her parents is jealous of an orphan because she herself is just SELFISH in my opinion. smh Don't pity her @ktcjdrama she deserves her karma because she is only after KJ because of his status. I can’t wait for him to learn and see what happens to the people a Prince love . He will try to fight it until is too late. I think she just might end up dead or shipped somewhere far away. The Queen blind side are her children and they are weakest point.

Taking credit of your brother’s work He was so arrogant here , he should have listened to his brother . that is why he will never be King . I have a theory, Queen Dowager wants Prince Uiseong to be Crown Prince. She is just using Prince Bogeum and his mom to dirty their hands . Same goes for Consort Hwang and Prince Uiseong, let them dirty their hands with blood and no one can blame her for the outcome in the future. She is truly evil . Even Prince Bogeum , was ready to cheat or give up. It took Prince Seongnam’s bravery and opinion on Gertrude of Corrupt officials. . It was this belief which persuaded Me Park to accept the summons. Prince Bogeum isn’t a leader but a follower.
