Cang Xuan and Xiao Yao aren't the main pairing. The crowd favorite definitely Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu but the ultimate CP is Xiao Yao and ShiQi. @40somethingahjumma ZWY has the most complicated lines and acting to deliver which not many actor can pull off. TJC has the responsibility to convey his emotion thru his expression/micro expression which is not an easy feat too. DW is a green actor but he is going there as long as he pays his taxes and stays away from underage girls and prostitute... He is similar to CY, both can suffer beautifully. But I agree with you that among the 3 MLs, he is the weakest link.

@40somethingahjumma I have not watch much of this drama, only bit here and there and I can say that it's an amazing drama both in production and acting. YZ done nothing for me, I'm kinda very very familiar of her acting to the point of kinda numb and immune toward her. But the 3 MLs (I'm quite familiar with their other works). OMG! They are incredible. I'm totally love DengWei look-wise, shallow me... I have been watching him since his trashy modern drama, You Are The Star And I'm The Year (I think something like that), untill before LYF which is Till The End Of The Moon (another amazing drama of the year for me) and he is so good as a handsome melancholy tortured inside kind of roles. The other ML, Zhang Wan Yi is one of the best actor of his generation though since he isn't liuliang so not that well known internationally. He is amazing in The Bond with Bai Yu and Song ZuEr etc. One of the best Cdrama, I can recommend. Another one of course the beloved Tan JianCi. I'm totally surprised of how little iFans aware of his existence. I'm practically watching him since he was a total jerk of a DiDi of Tong LiYa in The Centimeter of Love till Hi!6 variety show. Another solid actor. I prefer his character with Xiao Yao too. While the 4th ML, I have no idea who is he.... But with YZ, TJC, ZWY and DW plus great script and production this drama will be a success. I was about to start it but have not really got the time yet.

@Tofu In light heaven realms scenes, YCY is mostly fine but emotional scenes are a NO. She can't pull it off. She is so pretty with her unique eyes and features, she stands out among her peers look wise. She has great potential I really hope she can takes more acting lessons. @dramabler Give me spoiler from the book please.... Heavenly Emperor, good or bad? Prince XiuMing, good or bad? Jian Lian, good or bad? Btw, the styling for this drama is the more the merrier... YCY must need a neck massage after the wedding scene with all those wig and gigantic flowers plus massive amount of hair pins. The rest of the casts will go for deep tissue massage due to the massive amount of cloths with 100 layers of robes.....

@Tofu I watched eps 12 for the pretty and I have to say Ryan is amazing in THAT scene while YCY despite improved a lot still can acts as dying person convincingly......

The awkward technology illiterate CY and the helpful GeGe.....

@40somethingahjumma Many complained about the ending but for me it's a very fitting one. Similar with NiF, since the beginning the drama constantly hinting about the his ending especially after the mural in the pagoda seen by the Emperor and LLH's lineage is exposed, his existence became a threat to the current emperor. Every emperor alive is always paranoid and won't let a slight threat to his throne simply passed. I don't know if you watched the extra parts. There are 7 extras included in the express. 6 are bts and one extended version. CY is amazing while wielding sword in long wig. He wields it like he meant it (with real power) not only dancing with it.

@40somethingahjumma I paid for the express and the final boss fight is the best fight in ten years of my drama watching ( I won't counted the olden days kungfu movies).... Bring back the memory of the old HK movies like Wang Fei Hung etc.....

Yes, he is smoldering in this drama. I like him. Maybe I will take a peek for the pretty, let's see.....

@Tofu Darling, I used to wait for this drama excitedly but after I took a peek at The Journey of Chong Zi I was horrified and petrified by YCY's so called acting skills. She can barely acted as one person so I doubt she can manages 7......

I'm up to latest eps..... I'm totally love this drama. The 3 boys are amazing. FBD is such a good boy. His parent raised him well. Add. Apparently this drama took Star Wars' route....

The grief over AnLing, LMX and HY demise turned her hair white.... I'm finally done with this drama. No rewatch for me....I just hope Reba, GJ and LYN can works together again in the future under better production.

I have to agree with @40somethingahjumma that Begin Again is a good drama. The kid is extremely cute and talented, that's the bonus. Another modern drama of him if your main intention is to just ogling at him, I can recommend Dream Garden. Begin again he plays a MD while in Dream Garden, a psychologist.

Cheng Yi and Luo Yun Xi are gods of wires...... Cheng Yi does his wire works like a real Wuxia swordsman while Luo Yun Xi does his like who he really is, the professionally trained ballet dancer.

That's what me and my fellow tea @SilverMoonTea said too..... It took 20 eps for the show to finally made some senses, if not because of the 3 leads I had dropped it like hot potatoes around eps 3.... I love LinLang too, sadly she is about to dies....

He started to get suspicious during his choosing Crown Princess banquet eps 20-21 and sure of her identity on eps 22-23. Don't worry, he has a much bigger identity that will be reveal around eps 19, I think.

Gong Jun...... Does he thinking the surname is Gong? Even Reba panicked That Wu Hu song will be haunting him to his grave.....

Cdramas have their own problems but AnLe which have Reba, GJ, LYN and some other quite experienced actors shouldn't reach this kind of bad. Not to mentioned AnLe has the same directors (2 out of 3 directors) with Word of Honor which is way way better executed drama despite having minuscules budget with GJ as a strugling actor at that time.

Special for @SilverMoonTea. He is her ultimate GeGe I think ALON is better but MLC isn't not bad either....

I'm doing fine and up to date with the eps. After the pretty disaster of AnLe (don't get me wrong, I'm still watching....), this drama is a breeze of fresh air....
