  1. Decided to watch this drama, a melodrama with a strong female, ruthless character warming up sounds like something I will enjoy. I share as usual, my notes during the drama

    Episode 1

    • OSJ really is cold, the way she handled her cases right now, she doesn't seem to hesistate before anything. Will be interesting to see how it changed during the course of the drama.
    • Guys never talk in a men's restroom, it's pure, awkward silence.
    • Damn, Soo Jae is so ruthless, the way she talked about dating Kang, making him beg on his knees, she is such a dominant person. She likes to have power over others. She enjoys what she is doing.
    • The way Soo Jae talked to So Young, how to sent videos to her sister and mother, blackmailing her, threatening her to such a extent, that even her own assistant Mi Rim felt uncomfortable. For a second she looked like she wanted to stop Soo Jae.
So Young clearly is the go-to lawyer to cover up criminal behaviors by people in power.
    • Mi Rim is already my MVP, SLS activated, I like her. She has a sense of justice, she tried to intervene and step in for So Young.
    • Soo Jae is right though, So Young is not her client, she is paid to fight a biased one-sided battle.
    • Jumpscare of doom. Holy cow did I startled.
    • So Young did commit suicide, doesn't surprise me at all. Now it's obvious what will cause SJ demotion. Oh boy.
But she kinda has blood on her hands now.
    • Her phrase about TK Law Firm was too much, no one is bigger than the company. Saying something like that in front of the CEO will be problematic.
    • SJ didn't kill So Young, she is also not the reason why she's dead, but she drifted her into this rabbit hole and crushed her beliefs. The one who killed SY was Assemblyman Ang.
    • Damn, that soundtrack. Yeah, that's my jam. Orchestral baby.

Great first episode. Can't wait to watch the second one tomorrow. Really like the start of the drama.

Think you will like My Liberation Notes! One of those life changing sort of shows. The drama is done & you can watch it all on NF.

Mhm, already finished? Would love to start something that is still running or about to start, I like the weekly routine. I also love to read and share thought about each episode that aired.

So after some research three dramas caught my eye.

    • Doctor Lawyer (Because it's the actor of My Secret Terius), which I liked a lot, also seems very interesting.
    • Anna (Because Bae Suzy), but the story itself doesn't seem very appealing to me
    • Why Her? (Just seems interesting and the female second lead seems to be very pretty)

Sadly none rom-com-ish dramas like Our Beloved Summer are about to start. Anyone planning on watching these?

Not too late to watch 2521..hahah...what concert are you going for?

Sigh....yeah....is it good though? I already forgot what it was about :laugh:I am in a drama slumber again it seems.

It's a concert called KpopFlex in Frankfurt Germany on May 15th with several different artists that lasts for at least 4 hours.  It's a festival-like concert in a big Arena (Deutsche Bank Park). Many big korean groups (Mamamoo, G-Idle, Dreamcatcher, IVE, Monsta X, Oneus. AB6IX) will perform there, so I'm quite excited. Especially because of Mamamoo, who I really look forward to seeing live. I also saw Dreamcatcher twice already in Germany, so when they were announced as last act, I had to go. Just to make it three.

Will be a great weekend, I'll take a good friend with me.

@Dhakra I thought you were gonna watch 2521?

Yeah....that was my plan. But then so much came together. Buying concert tickets. booking hotels, planning everything. Watching different movies and starting rewatching old stuff. Sigh....I feel like I should really begin to watch another KDrama soon.

  5. Long time no see. How is everyone doing?

Please let me know how was it? Is it better than or just as good as The Dark Knight?

It's not better than Dark Knight, it's around the same, but for a different aspect. The atmosphere and the Gotham City are incredible well done. Batman aka Robert Pattinson is a bit weak, overall there is no character that stands out, but the mix of good actors and Gotham as a whole makes it a pleasant watch.

I would still prefer to watch the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy, but "the Batman" is a well done, darker Batman movie with a sometimes too much Twilight-like Robert Pattinson.

Haha @Dhakra the ball is in your hands. It'd be your loss not to check it out if you don't mind zombie shows.

Tell me at least some of the cutie girls are standing up for the ppl being bullied. If Nam-ra stands up, it would be so cool. Is she girl in the clip? I have not memorized any of the characters yet.

Haha, I concur that Nam Ra is a good character. The reason why I am continuing… slowly lol.

    Uh great.

@Dhakra There's also another sassy lady who is from the archery team. She is pretty and sassy as well but not the main cast so you don't see her in the promotional videos. I think in the end you might choose Nam Ra more because she's the more interesting character than On Jo. Or even archery girl coz she is not main leads.

The zombies are more confronting (in your face kind) and horrific in this one than Happiness and Train to Busan. This also means the "effects" are better and creepy (so it's even more not suitable for scaredy cats). Hahaha. There are also more confronting scenes of how the zombies are killed... so it really depends on how well you guys can take the gore.

Uh, did you just say "gore"? Now I am intrigued to check it out. Does is tell a real story or is it just a slaughter fest with fore scenes chained together? Sounds kinda interesting.

Mhm, we won't find out unless I watch it I guess. But Nam Ra was really, really cute already. :pandablush:

@Dhakra You probably won't watch this but when I watch it I was wondering which of the sassy girls will win your heart 😅

That is a very important and great question :pandapopcorn:So let me check and watch this trailer, let's find out who catches my interest first and wins my immediate heart. :pandasipsip:

Mhmm....Cho Yi-Hyun who is playing Choi Nam-ra. She's so cute :pandablush: She also looks calm and reasonable, while being total eye candy.

But I can see Park Ji-Hu as Nam On-Jo being my favorite after a few episodes, she looks so cold and reserved. She's pretty aswell, but seems so tough. I wouldn't want to mess with her. But I would totally fall for her because of that, while still swooning over Nam-ra being all cute and pretty.

I have to admit that I'm finding the first episode when that student is being beaten up really hard to watch. I assume that it will probably get worse from there. And, then there is that father and son. Because of the number of actors in this drama who I really, I want to watch it, even if it is a zombie drama, but it starts off so violent and bloody, and that's BEFORE the zombie thing really happens.

Let's see if I can actually finish episode 1 at least.

Oh boy, that sounds like a really tough cookie. Is it really so bad? Especially out of your mouth, who watched a lot of crime and violent dramas in the past with me.

I thought this drama was a bit like Happiness, from a zombie perspective.

Is it already up on NF???

So did you find the whole thing chingu? Or is it spread in clips all around YouTube? I saw the clips you posted a few posts ago, but it also seemed to be just a scene from the whole thing.

I just want MORE! Of everything! Why does this drama have to end? :scaredpanda2:

Actually, I thought the drawing of YS was done in the past. That’s an old book that he read while in high school, isn’t it? Meaning that he did draw a person once and only that once because of the importance of that person...

Yep, that's what I thought aswell. The big final reveal. Throughout the whole drama it was said he never drew a person, but in the end, he drew his first love the moment he saw her for the first time.

On IG the artist also revealed the picture. it is actually a page of the novel ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’ by Mark Twain drawn with pen & ink-

I appreciated that CR tells JW that people have been telling her that she is like him, but she doesn't want to be like him too much. And so, even though JW never got a chance to confess to his crush, she's confessing to him. It's not clear if they will become a couple or not, but it's good that she told him that she liked him.

That's what I really liked aswell, especially since JW told her multiple times thoughout the drama that ppl tell she becomes likes him. This was like breaking chains for her, but in the end it felt more like a monologue than a true confession. He didn't even look shocked, surprised or anything, he just noted it while keeping a straight face. I wished we could have see more of them afterwards. Just something small, like between Eun-Ho and Sol-Yi, the small invitation for a date was enough to make

    On the other hand......

    18 hours ago, stroppyse said:

but CR deserves more than that. Heck, she deserves an entire drama of her own where JW comes to realize how much he likes and trusts her, and starts to appreciate her as a woman and not just as the most capable assistant PD.

HELL YEAH! :pandarage2: I would totally sign up for this! Chae Rin drama?  AWESOME. :pandablush: She tried more than any other character to start dating and create love. Here, let me pitch you  my idea:

A Drama about JW doing the documentary with his mother, produced by Park Dong-il and Chae Rin. He slowly learns the dark history of his mother, while her state worsens every day. He is torn between his former hate and his newfound love for his mother. Chae Rin is the one he gets close to, trusts her more and more, telling her everything about his past, current struggles and his desperation. During that time he realiizes exactly what you said. He appreciates her as woman, his true love and that she was always there for him, while he just took her for granted and overlooked her.

Yaaay! So pretty, I am not ready yet to let her go :pandasadspoon:

Also sad we didn't get a scene between Chae Rin and Ji Woong as a couple, or at least some sort of reaction of him after she confessed to him.

  14. Oh boy I'm not ready for this :pandasadspoon: Last episode

    Final Episode 16

Didn't take a lot of notes this time. :pandapopcorn: It was a decent ending I guess, one of the better ones for sure. I think we saw everything we needed to, but I wished everything would have been a bit longer.  Yeon Su staying in Korea, realizing that she always lived a beautiful life, staying true to the people who put faith in her and stayed by her side, Sol-Yi always being the MVP. Choi studied in France, perfectly mastered the french technique of sipping tea. NJ still trying to shallowly manipulate their relationship. Eon Ho asking Sol-Yi for a date. Ji Ung spending time with his mom and trying to fix the relationship to his mother. Cutter Girl making her move and telling Ji Ung she likes him. The only thing that I really would have loved to see more of, how he felt about this and if they were dating at the end. Choi also confronting his dad and realizing his mother always knew he knew. Beautiful scenes.

And ultimatively, our OTP marrying at the end, while doing another documentary.

Overall, beautiful last episode. I enjoyed it.

  15. Episode 15

    • Ji Woons story is so sad, it could be an actual drama on it's own. :pandasadspoon: I wonder what struggles his mom had to face.
    • How fast Choi went from "They had a huge sale and they said I should get one" to "I paid full price" just because Yeon Su liked them. So funny
    • V's Christmas Tree is really such a great OST. I mean it sets records on Spotify and other platforms, it totally crushes Radio stations in korea and all, but it really is just a fantastic song.
    • Sigh, cutter girl tries so, so hard, but Ji Woong is all over the place and she really doesn't stand a chance. I mean, the situation with his mother is really tough and it's clear that his mind is focussed on this, but I see dark times ahead regarding their future. She obviously cannot make a move on him and he sents signs of being unapproachable. I doubt we will see this ship sailing, especially with only one episode left. Small bummer and will get a 0.5 deducation for my final note.
    • NJ displays quite well why she has no real friends, spending money is easier for her than spent time with people. She rather sold out the whole hour instead of becoming friends first. Money can buy you friends, but money can't buy you real friends.
    • Choi spending money on gifts for Yeon Su isn't great either, the first two gifts were cute, but covering her in gifts will backfire. Love isn't buyable, at least not real love.
    • I would still date NJ every day of the week. :pandablush: They would have been a cute couple aswell.
    • Jo Woong calling Choi to open up his heart and telling him first that his mom is going to die is such a beautiful meaningful scene. After all, they are like brothers. Even if Choi is the one who is dating the girl he loves and he needed some space, at the end of the day, they're brothers.
    • I can understand Yeon Su being very emotional and the talk with halmoni being very sad, but in which world is absence due to an emergency a reason for ruining everything and fearing a break-up? Especially with Choi, who has a lot of sympathy for everything.

Very sad episode, a lot to do tomorrow! To be honest, there is so much to cover, so many things to fix, I doubt we will have a satisfying ending for every plotline and some things won't end nicely. I imagine NJ & Choi's plot is finished now, which officially makes NJ the most meanlingless female second lead I ever watched. Seriously, if NJ wouldn't exist in this drama, the story and drama would have been the same. She didn't have any impact on any plotline.

you misread my point, what you wrote there probably comes from your point of view to the situation of them. You and we all know both of their stories as viewers. But that reason becomes reasonable if we look from YS's point of view solely. That's what I mean. Hopefully this is not confusing. Lols

But you have to watch it from Choi's pov aswell, from his point of view, it really does look pathetic. Sure, he later forget, but in the situation he learned about the reason, his harsh words included truth. Yeon Su hesistating to tell him now aswell, probably indicates that she remembers his words aswell. He had a point.

I don't think it is. He missed the important parts and couldn't recall this in his memory. That reason is quite understandable from YS's point of view. She knows if she keeps dating him she only put some burden on him and their conditions back then are not financially stable like now. And with her leaving him was actually making him changed to be more motivated with his life.

But she makes three steps before even consulting or asking him. Who says it's a burden for him? It's like he said, if she says she doesn't like him anymore, that's sad, but acceptable, but if the sole reason for her is to not put any burden on him, if her sole reason is to avoid her own low self esteem, then it's pathetic.

She cannot decide for him, if it's a burden or not, he always wanted to be there for her.

Nah, I still think he would have gone his way. He already reflected on himself while their were still being together. He looked at universities after he realized he may have sounded aimless.

Yeon Su was a source of strength for him, she always way. She could have motivated him, like she always did. Leaving him did the same as being with him, just with a lot more pain.

16 hours ago, Alice Wonderland said:

I think it is because she has more anti-fan than her real fans. The drama doesn't focus on NJ storyline, and I don't think I wanna see more scandal scenes in the last 2 episodes to come.

ESPECIALLY anti-fans are interested in this. Also, she didn't become so successful and owns three houses from only having anti-fans. If she is part of the business since 10years, she will have attention anywhere she goes, if people like her or not.

No, now it's too late anyway, but during the last 2-3 episodes it would have been natural if Choi Ung had to face public attention and people following his steps.

I mean, during the drama NJ and others apologize to him that he has to endure a celebrity scandal, even Yeon Su always says how likely it is that her crush is part of a national celebrity dating scandal, but in fact, it didn't play any role at all. Choi barely had to face anything.

see, yes sure, this ain't get me too  they missed these details about star level, at least give us a glimpse of impact of that, not a focus story but just I mean, be realistic a bit

Exactly. A glimpse of how it is, journalists gathering in front of his house, people following him around, maybe invading his personal space. He was caught on cam with the most successful celebrity, people would go crazy if this would happen in rl.
