  1. Wait a moment.. for the second question, is that for any drama you watched or under the 2022 watch list? I only listed the 2022 drama that I watched.. Even when I wanted to mentioned old dramas, my goldfish like memories can't remember all those ships that have sinked to the bottom of the sea And I didn't included Our Beloved Summer and The Red Sleeve because it aired more than the half of it series in 2021.. @Tofuto make you happy, I do start watching Silent.. and like the title I'm keeping silent about it My first Japanese dorama after a very long time.. the last probably when I was still in elementary and I watched dubbed version in local TV that I might mistook as Chinese series (I was a kid and couldn't differentiate things at that age)
  2. @abs-oluteM I just realized the mention but @mademoisellehas told u first.. It's like what she shared. Basically Court Lady Oh informed HR that CH has fainted. Kang asked the physician about his diagnosis but he couldn't tell any. In that era, feeling through someone's pulse can tell you about the sickness they have. However since CH has a weak pulse since she was born (confirmed by her court maid family that CH brought into the palace), it's hard for the physician to tell. Kang then remembered that CH shared with him in Man Wol island about her heart rate and later her confession. If she's pregnant, there supposed to be a double pulse (?) that they will confirmed I guess. That, if I still have the correct memory of another sageuk era drama and the diagnosis for the women (particularly the Queen or some Concubines). If later he tells Kang and HR about two different pulse that he can feel, hmm maybe the pregnancy is true.. But well I dunno if it's safe for her health when she's indeed pregnant with her condition
  3. - Na Hee Do & Baek Yi Jin (Twenty Five Twenty One) Reason: Well since the beginning before the flashback scenes and everything, we are already shown that NHD daughter surname is not Baek. But how can you not ride this couple ship when all along the past story, we're shown about these two grew up and go through high and low together? And when they actually knew each other pain, they decided that it's for them to be separated and not going for second chances - Gu Ryeong and Park Joon Gil (Tomorrow) Reason: Given now their soul is somewhat will live for eternity as grim reaper, can that red thread that has been broken to be tied again between the two? Not just as a mere coworkers since after the last mission, both now regain all their past live memories. - Cheon Ji Hoon and Lee Joo Young (One Dollar Lawyer) Reason: the lady died to early when they just got engaged - Noh Chak Hee and Jwa Si Baek (May it Please The Court) Reason: Well chemistry is great but sadly romance is not part of the main plot of this revenge drama. Although they did leave the imagination to us whether they will be married under the sea by Mr Octopus, while sky diving or with a traditional wedding
  4. The number of k dramas that I started watch this year : 30 And below here is the status of those dramas Dramas that I finished and watched it full : 17 Dramas that I finished but by reading reviews/recaps by others : 7 Dramas I decided to drop : 2 On going: 3 Under the Queen's Umbrella Reborn Rich Recipes For Farewell On hold (have no decision yet to continue either by watching or reading or drop it all together) :1 Curtain Call
  5. New teaser about the upcoming season 2 The girls leave the city to the mountain.. I wonder if the writer got inspired from theie spin off journey of the three actresses of their hiking variety I never read the webtoon so I didn't know. And my goodness Si Won facial hair and hairstyle Has he become a mountain man or what?
  6. Ah right.. I forgot that she was in there too. Yes yes I remember her character and the drama. Ohh new poster.. how do you think the episode will last this time? The last season was for 12 episodes yes?
  7. Okay I was not planning or thinking to watch the last episode live, but somehow I happened to across the stream site and open SBS channel. I might write more when the sub is out and I watched it again. Or maybe not too. We'll see Hmmm ep 12 is really a fast one because they have to cram and solve everything while also put some comedy scenes inside. I think the director, writer and all staffs and of course the actor did their best to deliver the script as much as they can within the time allotted. I still think maybe we will get more explanation and can explore more for 2 more episodes, but with how fast they wrapped and solved it in ep 12, I think I can say that it's good enough. Villain got their undue punishment. Our prosecutors team with HJ as the lead cooperated with JH for trapping the big boss. By making the boss played according to their plan (despite of some dangerous acts) JH really played the big boss to his plan. I guess his 1 year off is actually for planning session that we are not privy to. But about the sudden move of MH from prosecutor to lawyer and somehow because he witnessed something bad in his short lawyer life, he wanted to go back as prosecutor again? And MR just can go back and forth to the Baek firm like she owned it and even Chairman opened his own computer for her to access. Hmmm strange but I guess because they decided to cut it, we didn't get any drama about this and just put it away like that. Unexpected cameo by Jung Moon Sung at the end episode did make me laugh. I guess he appeared because he have worked together with NGM and KJE in the previous work? Although I didn't watch that drama but I think I saw the pictures. @abs-oluteMthanks for the link. I didn't open it but I did read the one that you put under spoiler. About the PPL, well it was so true. The advertisement were so blatantly put out that I even stopped for a moment to think whether this drama was aired in big 3 or a cable channel. Even several dramas from cable channel that I watched didn't blatantly put out the PPL like that. The chicken and coffee I could understand if it appears once or twice. But for them to promote and even describe the products itself almost completely especially the lead characters
  8. @Tofu yeah I think it's better to wait and watch ep 11 when the last episode air either on Friday or Saturday ( I don't know about their schedule anymore). @abs-oluteM NGM got covid way back before he got married, didn't he? I think it was shared in the news before the drama press conference? And less than 2 weeks after his recovery (if we count that he did the mandatory 1 week quarantine) we got the news that he got married. If the filming was done at least halfway and they were filming the few last episodes during the premier, I think 14 episodes could still be possible, no need to cut 2 episodes. Well we still don't know what happened behind the scenes but I think since episode 9, the drama flow felt a little bit strange. If they really want to cut scenes, they should have just shorten the painting case, cut the unnecessary scenes like the comedy with the the landlady and their rent etc. The one year gap and the explanation about JH needed the time to think about his reasons for being a 1000 won lawyer should be the end of episode 10. I think he knew because probably he investigated Chairman Baek deeper after knowing the possibility he might took part as powerful company. The law firm representing JQ after all and then the case he build up about the missing slush fund was suddenly closed by the prosecutor higher ups after the death of his father. And yeah I guess there's no budding romance since MH quit to be a lawyer and still trying to get MR attention
  9. I recognized her... I knew she was in both My love from the star (just appeared for few episodes because her character got killed by the villain) and Oh my Venus as the second female lead.. I don't think I ever watched her recent works after that.. I wonder what kind of character she will have in the series.. I am satisfied enough that the main casts of season 1 coming back as a whole.. and adding YSY is as fixed cast is also a good thing.
  10. The girls are coming.. It was said the season 2 will premiere on Dec 9. @abs-oluteM Girls are crazier and wilder than season 1 I think hahahah
  11. @abs-oluteM yes that's the actor that I have in my mind since ep 10.. @Tofu @ktcjdrama I don't think he has appeared in a lot of dramas or probably I watched less drama who included his as part of the cast.. I remember his face and voice but not the actor name. Sorry sir Ep 11 is really a filler episode to me. How are they going to wrap the whole episode in one hour? Did sbs do them dirty or what I don't understand.. If they stay true to 14 episodes format, I can stand the sudden 1 year time skip because honestly JH did look scary when he's almost killed that man. Like he just ignored everything but revenge for the man who harmed JY and led to her death. Ep 11 can be the filler, ep 12 and 13 build the case and ep 14 can be the final. It's quite okay with that flow. But how are they going to solve it in one sitting? How about MH and HJ investigation? They went to the party to investigate but it was dumped to the trash. Revelation about Chairman Baek and his friendliness with the killer? WAs the script got burned or the filming tape got suddenly deleted and couldn't be recovered or what? It's confusing and well little bit disappointing..
  12. While both of them also have this mentor and mentee vibe, I don't mind if they are going to romance way. Only if the senior is a single mother. So far there's mention about her husband, isn't it? Her daughter is mostly with the nanny when she's at work. And MH is worried about herself too as a person not just as a senior and partner at work.. When Grandpa Baek seems to act cozy with our suspicious culprit, does it mean he took part for the murderer? Recent murder maybe, but I wish at least he's clean for JY case. He's fond of her, wasn't he? While I won't say the same with MH dad, I still have a very little hope in Grandpa Baek. The hidden person who was supposed to be the boss is a different person. I think I recognized the actor's voice because I watched at least one or two dramas of his previous work. There's only 2 episodes left and it's going to be a tight one because of the cut...
  13. They dried and eat Mr Octopus... I guess wedding under the sea is no no.. maybe traditional wedding with a pair of ducks in the vast field with traditional jars of old sauce will be their choice... Sky diving for honeymoon I do feel satisfied enough with how they wrapped the serial murder case. Although about how CS paid his own crime with instigating the murderer itself with his life is too much. He's guilty if course as the mastermind, but I kind of understand his reasons. He went through the torture himself, being treated as trash and called names by the people who were in position and thought what they did was justice. He lost his wife after she got assaulted. His mind and heart already got blinded by revenge and pain. And only after 30 years. Sigh he was living a hard life too. I won't say he's not guilty and deserve a punishment, but kind of understand his motives and I guess by taking his own life while revealed to the world about KD crimes, at least in the end he did something good to punish one of the perpetrator.. Our man SB or should we say now HJ is actually a good one. He grew up quite well despite the hardships and guilt he experienced during his childhood.. He blame himself for leading his father to death, but actually he's not at fault. What could a mere first grader know who was and was not his father friend? Despite all the pain in his life he still grow up as a good person and help others as lawyer. I'm hoping that in the scenes that we are not shown, after the long long trial maybe later on HJ and CH did end up together.. His mother 'the granny'will keep asking about his marriage, won't you granny? Casts are fabulous in bringing the characters alive. Writer is good and especially the camera directors brought their magic alive. The editing is a top one that sure. It's not like I watched many crime or law drama, but this one the transition is quite smooth. The faded name store finally revealed to us the viewers at the same time with CH realising the missing puzzle one by one. Can we have a romance for JRW and LKH reunion project please? The torture by the supposed police officers you mean? I think during those era torture by the police, false admission while being torture so that they can throw people to jail and show that the higher ups did something was just a small part in the real facts that happened in SK. I think many dramas and films have touched those dark times, and it was used as the base background for this drama. For what crime we weren't privy to it, but well during those times, it's not a good one. I don't know the exact translation for the word too. My dark site sources gave the translation as vermin too. Maybe we have the same source? What I do know is that the literal translation of the word is insects. Although what kind or species of the insect is not clear. Moth is probably one of the species that comes to my mind when they refer those words in the sentence meaning (although Korean word for moth is different, as far as I know). But to give some impact for non korean speakers in that context of speaking and they way they evil duo father and son with no remorse, vermin will give more impact and powerful, won't it? I stand corrected tough because my knowledge in both languages (English and Korean) is not good enough.
  14. Ohh there's a preview.. I wonder why Disney+ didn't put preview at the end of episodes.. Rough trans CH: Shin Chi Shik. There's an accomplice. Jwa Si Baek planned it and his accomplice did the deed. Man: Jwa Si Baek was already dead. When he was still a first grader in the elementary (Oh my so SB took the name of the dead son of super granny?) CH: If you are not Jwa Si Baek, then who the hell are you? (Her inner monologue while thinking about SB) CH : Why the person that you call as older brother is named Shin Chi Shik.. I still couldn't find it (the reason? The truth?) CH: I wouldn't be fooled twice. I will put you under a death sentence..
  15. I was more likely frustrated because we still need another week to see the complete conclusion of the drama. While the spoiler from @abs-oluteM about the last filming did indeed contain spoilers, well knowing how the production usually filming their scenes not always in orderly manner, we won't know until we see it ourselves... IF either of you got the mention but haven't watched the two episodes, don't read what I wrote bellow about my thoughts for ep 9 and 10... Hit back button and be back again later... . . . Still continue reading? Well then take a peak because mostly what I wrote is a rant and rambling ------ Okay so the poker or wall face of SB, we can't really know what he's thinking or feeling unless he openly showed it. He really masked it very well. His smile never reached his eyes really. But I do see that he's sincere enough when he's dealing with his clients, granny at the super and with CH. Other than that, I couldn't read him at all. So when he said he's the culprit, then said it's a lie later on, I couldn't know whether it's the truth or he really willing to take all the blame and hide the real culprit. But when he nonchalantly said the way Chairman Jang was killed, I wonder if he's really the one who did it this time. The other attacked against the 4 people was probably not him, but he might did something because he got a bone to pick with Chairman Jang, since he really looked disgusted when he had to shake hands with him before at the orphanage. My suspicions about super granny lose her memories about something seems to be true. When she didn't recognize KD when SB questioned her about the possibility of him winning the election. I wonder who was her missing child. Was it really a boy or perhaps instead it was a girl? And how long did SB and granny actually knew each other? KD the heartless and cruel man didn't even felt any sadness when he found out how tragically his father was murdered. He was enraged because his plan to be an assemblyman would be fallen through because of that. He tried to mask it as a death of natural causes, blame another innocent (or maybe not so innocent) man and killed him later, so that his election would be smooth. I wonder if he really knew who was the real culprit or whether he ordered all of the attack against the 4 people? He just didn't expect his father murder happened before he become the assemblyman. About chairman Jang evil deeds. Did perhaps he and CH grandma quarreled that ended up her falling from the stairs? YY seemed to have a flashback about it when she visited the vacation house. If it's true, why would she didn't tell it to CH? And is CH father also knew the truth about his own mother death but not reveal it to CH? But why? Because she's taken under the Jang family wing? Because of his past that he had to leave her behind? I mean, because of this, actually the real victim that didn't even realized her life was being played is CH. Chairman Jang might treated her good because of his guilt.. KD got his own agenda and clearly used CH during her time as the lawyer in Jangsan. And whether she knowingly agreed to it or not, CH did indeed become a lapdog of Jangsan while taking care of the dirty deeds. Somehow I kind of feel grateful then she can be freed when she was sent to be a public defender. And about the dumpling shop owner and the amnesiac man. If what were revealed in near the end of ep 10 was actually all the truth, then amnesiac man was somehow got his mind brainwashed and he followed the directions or orders from the owner to kill those people. I couldn't really figured out who was the man that got tortured in the past by when the amnesiac man whose actually used to be a police officer himself, but it's kinda look alike the shop owner somehow. Police chief clearly knew all things happened in the past and all victims was actually part of the gang tortured. I need ep 11 and 12.. and maybe.. who knows that even if the ship can't sail, maybe it won't be like Titanic where the man was drowned and the woman stayed alive for quite some time..
  16. From that shot alone, I thought the name at the signboard was Eun Ha instead of Eun Hee like the sub points. Cause the mark that was left didn't indicate there's any previous sign of words 희 but 하 .. Although I might have mistaken it too.. She attacked a police officer when she was drunk and need to pay the fine. GD here was asked to look for the culprit who leaked the assault case to the assemblyman Park prior to their meeting. His shady deal with the deceased Yoon was done by his own wife, Ha Ran. But both didn't know who leaked the info about Yi Yeon case. I suspect, if the serial killer is really SB, it might be him. I think she saw something when she woke up at night. And the way SB keeps saying I'm sorry I'm sorry for several times.. well yeah maybe she saw something that really changed her perspective about the serial murder case. But you know, if the culprit can easily killed his last 3 victims, I wonder why he let the chief police to stay alive? Well he's in coma but still, he's not dead. And from his reaction for opening the door, the culprit is really someone he knew well enough. If it's SB, he would scream or threaten no? Since he already ordered to put a tail for SB and even saw his face during the car chase. @SilverMoonTeayes he's not flirting and we can't really see his eyes because he really mask it very well..
  17. But it doesn't explain his quirks.. maybe losing the people he loved and admire just in the span of 2 years snap him to the point he is almost crazy? But I'm glad that it looks like it just a fake since when he's inside his own room, we do see the cold and serious prosecutor that he used to be. About the paper, maybe she took some snap and the killer took her phone too. Although the probability is also small hahaha. What's with people in drama that could not keep paper inside their bag and instead holding it around, waiting for wind or anything to make it fly out of their hands... What I also don't understand is that people instead of calling help for JY, they just stared and ran away. She lost too much blood because of that. And for JH to know that the fake culprit didn't even realize him, I wonder if they have brushed in the past as well either way sus person who originally have the documents was someone from Baek. Sigh the sparks only last for 2 episodes.. when I thought that she might secretly lived outside somewhere, the writer killed her character
  18. The video that I got from dark site, the sub pointed out that when young grandpa gave money to little SB and he asked who grandpa was, the sub said he was the friend of his father, Mr Kim. I wonder if Si Baek changed his identity when he grew up ? From what the character said he didn't say anything about Mr Kim, yet the sub was pointed out differently. I wonder if it's just a mistake or the subber unknowingly gave a spoiler? Didn't the director of the orphanage surname was Park? Or does Grandpa do really know about SB birth father? And related with the army or even war? Because of the same wrist watch they have? Or I might just have imagined it, if it's turned out a sub malfunction part from my dark site source. If I remembered correctly, the said woman who was related with SB, dumpling chef and GD was named Eun Hee Soo. And after SB had dinner with old super granny, the camera pointed out at the store name that almost gone but the first 2 character Eun h.. I wonder if it's Eun Hee or another name ? so there's no possibility for a good results then?
  19. Probably in Min Hyuk mind only. With his creative imagination (like when he imagined purposing to her), I think we will have another comedy about that lol Because the spark that I'm looking for was happening not in the present time but in the past.. The spark with the leading lady, to me just a mentor and mentee. While in our shih tzu lawyer, she's already a formidable lady with her own capability. In my opinion, She just need a nudge and reminder to become a good person that she originally was. I do hope it's not just a flashback and we can see something in present time too. The grave JH visited at the end of ep 6 seems to be his father grave. I guess when people build a building, after finishing it they have to lock the roof with passcode door with iris scan or voice recognition or something else so that it won't be a place to jump off... It's interesting to see that actually the one who started the small lawyer office in a small old cafe was not JH. Although the craziness of his way getting evil people to get their justice seemed to be a born trait because he also did that while he's a prosecutor
  20. I don't know whether I have to scream or not to myself for starting a mystery drama when it hasn't almost finished airing because I got frustrated myself with curiosity. SB and the dumpling chef are indeed suspicious and probably fit to be the serial killer because of their animosity against all the victims so far. Other than that the victims were evil people and deserved to be punished for their crime, there must be something that the victims plus GD did 30 years ago that might have resulted in the death of the supposed wife / sister in law / sister (?) / or even mother ??? (Now I never thought of this before reading @Chocolate and @abs-oluteMposts. Please don't go that way drama) i don't know if the said brother is even related by blood. They might adopted eachother when they were in the orphanage or something. And what's with the old super granny who seemed to have dementia or Alzheimer symptoms that keep waiting for her son that hasn't grown up a first grader boy 30 years ago.. my head hurts trying to think and connect the dot Romance our main lead.. the sparks and the moment are there. But I'm afraid they just gonna tease us until the end. @SilverMoonTea my expert sister in finding out about the ship. What are you thinking about the probability us getting any advance in romance department? Will we get something or have to suffer from the line?
  21. He reminded me of his character in crash landing on you, just a little bit. Although his character in here seems to be lots of smarter since he's a prosecutor. He's such a daddy boy hahaha... Most of adult men usually won't address their father as ' daddy ' when they've grown up, however since they are quite close and probably got spoiled by the father, he can't help but to slip up to call him daddy instead of the formal way. I'm just guessing but probably because of her recent probationary work as prosecutor and they way she has been living so far, it can't be helped that she thought that way. Although I do hope that once she worked longer with JH, she will start to be a better woman and a better lawyer. Up until now she still can't shed the prosecutor mode and really stick to the rules book. Well it can't be helped. Even Mr Sa, who have worked longer also had his prejudice at first, but because he believed in (or might be not as well) JH way of thinking, he helped to investigate with the benefit of the doubt for now. And yes, the mouth covering at the end episodes, I hope it won't be a hint or something about the development of romance. I really wish those two just stay as partner in crime only and no romance because I see no spark at all. Mischievous and comedian? Yes. Romantic partners?
  22. I'm not sure if the supposed meaning is that. While it's true that everything that he has done so far in the show are comedic, the god of variety is more like a term to say that he must be blessed during their MT because he experienced all sorts of things that seasonal entertainer might have experienced during his first variety shows. Not to mention that his expression is just as innocent and pure that made people enjoy watching him no matter what.. I only encounter those term when I watched actively running man on their early run and usually actor Lee Kwang Soo will always be the one who got that nickname because of all of misfortune. And well in this episode 5, In Youp is rather unlucky enough to sit at the spot where he would get drenched with water just because Na Ra laughs, which was something hard for her to handle since they're shooting variety show, and would be flown by the flying chair because she answered the questions with I am.. For the team to enjoy delicious breakfast, they better to make Itaewon team to lose and enjoy Park Seo Joon cooking tough.. My experienced watching him as chef in Youn Stay can guarantee that he can and indeed cook delicious food
  23. Drama popularity in local citizen is getting higher. Episodes 3 reach scored an average nationwide rating of 12.9 %, breaking into the double digits In episode 3, we see the conclusion of the previous case. JH helped MR realised that even as lawyer, you can help the client in other way and still within the law. Going to trial is all good and possibility for win against the lawsuit is there, however the cost and the time that it will take, needs to be considered as well. While she still feels not completely agree with JH method of thinking and solving the lawsuit, she agreed to reconsider her way and follow and help him to win the case. It's actually a little bit nerve-wracking watching the bingo match.. I am afraid somehow they will lose. But when JH chose MR as to be the one who called a number, ah he does have a plan then. What a relief that MR still remember all that laws article correctly and helped them to win the match. And what's with the sudden pretty comments from JH hmm? Was it because the alcohol or will there be a romance between the two? I prefer for them to bicker as senior and junior.. Didn't see any potential romance as of yet.. Partner in crime, yes but for romance
  24. @SilverMoonTeaare you on the way for shipping the duo combo in real life as well or for now it will be enough for the characters in drama first? Cause if somehow you open a thread there are two potential customers for it I won't deny the two characters chemistry is really fun to watch and I can just spend the whole hour watching them bickering, but for nudging and blackmailing CH in his way to make her a better person is also fun to watch. Both can really play with words and turn it back against each other. So far CH lost a lot against SB since most of her arguement towards him was used back against her successfully So last week prediction about whether Si Baek is the culprit or not still not clear enough, although my suspicions against him has dropped quite low because it looks like the camera work and the editing that probably made like that way. What we know about the culprit for murder 1 and 2 so far: - the watch. Which we got some close up of it when Si Baek wear the similar design and another one Jang Gi Do - the knots. It seems to point out about the culprit special way of tying a knot that quite unique and not many people used it. For both murder in ep 2 and 4, we're shown that the victims got their hand tied that way. The knot at the car key chain and if I'm not hallucinating, the knot that the Grandpa Chairman made while he flied the kite during CH flashback is also the same My guess is probably Jang Gi Do is behind all the murderer so far. He sounds fishy and will do anything to get whatever he wishes for. If the uncles is really related to him, did he want to eliminate them one by one or what? Such a scary man.
  25. Hmmm based on the short flash back in episode 2, there's possibility that the two younger siblings knew about this. Since there were a lot of chatty ahjummas around the neighborhood, they must have gossiped so often and quite loud for others to not notice it. Especially when the granny did only prefer the other two children. Seung Jun's sister when confronted So Rim at school was uncalled for and she's rude, but it's also So Rim fault I think.. Got suspended at a school because of fight? Sure maybe defending Tae Joo might play part on it, but she can just easily take another exam to get her high school degree and later the exam entrance in another year after that. There are lots of people doing the entrance exam several times when they failed in any other dramas and also in reality perhaps. She's just too spoiled by the parents and Granny. She even felt that it's right for her to live in the apartment that her sister paid for just because she and her future husband still doesn't have the money for rent the house However I do like the Kim Father who treats all the children fairly. He doesn't differentiate between his blood related children and Tae Joo. And Geun Woo is just the sweet little maknae who tries to keep peace within the family. Seung Jun life as an actor mustn't be easy because he becomes the head of the family when he reached the stardom and it's almost like everyone mooch from him. The sister is already problem and as if paying the debt of his father is not enough, his mother's side of family members (especially the brothers who lived outside) gonna use the famous person in family's card about it.. He couldn't catch a break really.. And with the mother and manager tried to make up the fans love towards him.. I wonder if he started to lose his popularity as he's aging? And it might play to him losing confidence that he once talked with Tae Joo about in the past? And about the apartment issues with neighbors, I wonder if one day if they both do settle down, they will move to a landed house rather than living in apartment again. We'll have to see..
