  1. I forgot that even young Mi Na and young Yeon Ju also had the same face. I guess Seung Wook mistook teenage Yeon Ju whom he met on the hospital rooftop on the day of his father death with teenage Mi Na who was hospitalised due to her trying to kill herself because of the bad treatment from her family.. because almost everything that comforts him back then, he got it back from Yeon Ju. And he couldn't help but being soft to her despite saying no to her request. He might grumble but still come to her help.. I can't wait until Yeon Ju regained her memories back. While it's fun to see her pretending to be Mi Na, I want to see her real self while tackling the whole chaebol affairs with her 100% capabilities and ability. It would be funnier to see it.
  2. Seconded this.. Back then, when I was lurking around in a fast paced thread I would be confuse when they mentioned the characters name using the initial only. Because characters initial could be the same when their actual name is different from one to another. For example, KJH it could stand for many variations of name! Kang Jae Hyun, Kim Jae Hyun, Kang Ji Hoo, Kim Jae Han, Kim Ji Hyun, Kang Ji Hye etc etc How could I differentiate it between man and woman when the characters have same letters initial?? Like in Hosplay for example SH could stand for Song Hwa and Seok Hyeong, while JW could stand for Jeong Won and Jun Wan. That's why at the beginning stage for Hosplay on season 1, I pretty much insisted to use their family name if I want to shorten their characters name. Drama title is another tricky part. Sometimes the Korean title and English title didn't have any connection and hard to figure it out. Especially drama with long tittle hahaha I swear what comes to the mind of the writers naming their drama so long? Wow Chinese Internet Slang? Amazing! sometimes I would even lost in English internet slang lol. For me the blues are already crawling in when it's Saturday evening.. Like I can't believe how fast the sun is already setting. I couldn't believe times flies so fast when I barely moving from my bed or being a couch potato On Sunday, I would be very sensitive if I have to spend my time doing other things that I don't want to but consume a lot of time, because it means my sunday break is getting shorter!
  3. You can catch up with dramas but not with the resting time.. Take a little break to rest, because if you fell sick, you can't watch the drama (speaking from experience, got sick on weekend because forced my tired body to still fulfil my drama quotas for the day and suffered the whole weekend on bed back then) @im0202 Oh no, I wish him a speedy recovery. Hopefully he will recover soon. I also heard the news that the cases in SG is increasing rapidly. Wish other SG havenites that I knew is also doing well despite the raising cases. @Chocolate @Jane @SilverMoonTea @mademoiselle I myself is also weak against those initials. Shortening the drama name with their first word, especially for the english title is confusing and feels like a hard quiz to me. I prefer to just make it shorten or sometimes use the romanized of Korean title Hopefully everyone is staying safe and healthy.. I can't believe saturday is almost over and soon it will be sunday and monday again ?!
  4. @SilverMoonTea I got the CEO boyfriend Now where do I can find that CEO boyfriend in real life? Maybe if it's really like what they mentioned in the test, I don't have to work till my body break anymore and can just fangirling to my heart contents lol I watched almost all the suggested drama but only didn't finish My Secret Romance.. Watched it to half episodes but bored and left it behind..
  5. Did she plan the supposed accident for her to hit someone else whose looks is similar to her? I don't think so. But the plan to get away from her hellish life at her living place? Yes I believe she is.. It's quite funny really this drama. I enjoyed all of it and I really prefer Yeon Ju over the meek and silent Mi Na. ----- I thought by the end of ep 4 Yeon Ju has figured out that she used to be a prosecutor. But then she thought herself as a con artist who are quick to tell lies and made up stories. Han family is slowly getting suspicious of her, especially when they are trying to kill Mi Na with her allergies but it didn't work, they will become instantly curious.. The villain eldest sister is getting braver in making her hands dirty with people blood. What made me curious was about the epilogue. It was shown the culprit to the factory arson years ago was Yeon Ju father and he is still serving in the prison for it. Did he really do that? Or did he get pay from the current Han chairman so that he could take the position from Seung Wook father back then?
  6. I think he did meet with Gwang Nam face to face after he got released from the prison? The man who helped to pick up the ball at the playground? CS lied to GN by saying that that man died maybe because that man is an ex convict? No matter whether he's guilty or not, he did spend time in jail and maybe to CS it's better for GN to not find out about the truth? And when BH asked him to not approach GN, I think they just want to close the opportunity if someday the real truth comes knocking on them. I think GN won't looking for the man since she believed the lies that he's dead for several years before.
  7. It's the first two episodes of total 50 episodes.. We can say it's the beginning stages and I couldn't really give a quick judgement, but the big age gap between the leads made me uncomfortable. If my math is correct then the gap is about 14 years. Dan Dan was shown to be born on 1995 and her mother left not too long after she's born on that year (?). During the drinking in ep 2, it was mentioned that Young Guk are currently 41 (Korean Age). Let's say DD is now 27 (by Korean Age) so the age difference is 14 years, isn't it? I guess maybe because the unnecessary childhood meeting between the two when DD was still a teenager and YG a soldier that made me feel more uncomfortable. It just made their age differences become so significance rather than if they just made the two met on the mountains.. I don't know what to feel in the future when he developed a feeling for her. The house felt so familiar to me. Anyone in here have watched angel's last mission by Shin Hye Sun and Kim Myung Soo? The house they used in that drama and this drama is the same, no? For the outer appearance at least. From the gate and to the yard it all felt the same. And the clothes brand that YG supposed to have. I think I have seen that brand in almost all KBS weekend drama that I watched lol. Is that brand a fixed sponsor for KBS drama? Well for the casts, I knew several senior actress that I came across while watching the weekend drama. The actress who played DD, isn't she the new ER fellow in HP season 2 @stroppyse @ktcjdrama ? And I think I saw Lee Il Hwa as part of the casts line up, but so far she hasn't appeared yet. Don't tell me she's going to play the missing DD mother? Based on the poster or stills that I have seen she looked quite okay, so is her character reach her dream as a fashion designer? I will try maybe about 2 to 4 episodes more to see whether I'll continue to watch or drop it all together. I'm tempted to leave it while I was in the middle of watching ep 2 because I felt bored hahaha
  8. Another OST from weekend drama that I enjoyed.. it's OST from Homemade Love Story. There times where the drama was quite frustrating for me for some parts however thanks to the main couple and later the elder couple I stayed. And this song is probably the main theme for both couple. When they're united together, it played in the background. The lyrics are beautiful. Jin Min Ho - Love can't be stopped like a time (Live version from the original singer) eng trans cr : popgasa You can’t try much When it comes to love Feelings can’t be stopped Just like you can’t stop time Opposites attract Just like magnets That’s why I was able to fill My ruined and pierced heart When I see you, I start to smile You give me rest at the end of a long day Your rain Is drenching me This love that came without warning Colors me I lived without purpose But you’ve become my meaning The person who taught me love It’s you We were so different from each other That’s why we were able to fill This puzzle called life When I see you, I start to smile You give me rest at the end of a long day Your rain Is drenching me This love that came without warning Colors me I lived without purpose But you’ve become my meaning Now my days are perfect You couldn’t be stopped Just like you can’t stop time I’m so thankful For this kind of love I lived without purpose But you’ve become my meaning The person who taught me love I love you Even if I don’t try My heart grows every day Like the starlight My life shines because of you
  9. Anyone currently like Wi Ha Joon because of squid game? I don't watch the series nor following him but it looks like many people I follow like him and his related tweets keeps appearing. Wi Ha Joon dancing to twice cheer up
  10. @ktcjdrama The crazy elements from Fiery Priest, like the lead who has a lot of temper is definitely the fun part in this drama so far. Chaebol family fighting for gaining the highest position while using dirty tricks in Graceful family, you can also find it. What I like is that because our focus in this story is the female lead, you get the woman power from Mine. And sometimes there is short comment here and there which gives you touching feelings, so I really enjoyed the first 4 episodes so far. You know, I think binge watching this drama won't be a problem because it's quite fun. Maybe once you both cleared up your watching schedule then you can pick this up? For me because I haven't any long watching list currently, that's why I have no problem in watching this Don't read the below part because it contained spoilers. But read away if you want :D ----- Hoo another interesting development in ep 4. I hope the story will develop slowly but steady because it's really fun to piece the puzzle one by one. We got a short backstory why male lead wanted to go back and have a revenge on his paternal side of family. And the supposed heiress, Mi Na fled away from the country by riding a boat with a help from a criminal that are being chased down by our badass prosecutor, Yeon Ju. When Yeon Ju got chosen as the chairwoman, inheriting her father position after practically black mailing and threatening the board directors with their dirty secrets, many people start to feel uneasy. And slowly her memories as prosecutor seems to crawling back because she keeps have to deal with prosecutor and legal terms because of people who want to make her fell down by framing Mi Na and want to put her inside the jail. Those people don't know what they're handling with a crazy prosecutor Moreover, they still don't realise that it's a different people all together. Are they really people who watched her like a hawk or just imagine her meek and timid personality as something from their imagination? I swear this chaebol people think they're above anything but can't even distinguish people from one to another. And Seung Wook, he's not that pure in helping Yeon Ju to pose as Mi Na because he wants to use her for his own gain. However both seems to have a soft spot for each other, so we can't cross the romance department in this drama too. Moreover, I want to know whether Yeon Ju is really the heiress from a gangster or it's just a fake identity she made so that she could investigate what happened to her grandmother hit and run accident years ago and what's with that blurry past she had related to her father. So much things to be solved and even though I have to lower my expectation for the drama because it's still in the early stages, I can't help but want this drama to be a hit! Reaching 12% rating for episode 4 is quite a feat. And also the epilogue scenes are also a fun part. Apparently Mi Na is enjoying her life in some beach in another country where Yeon Ju has to work hard to save Mi Na position in SK.
  11. @SilverMoonTea Yeah saw the news.. It still in discussion stage so it's not confirmed yet.. I wonder if they will use the same old store or moving to a new one.. Are you going to watch this if the season 2 is confirmed?
  12. I've watched ep 3 and I like how it developed so far. The body does remember even when the mind didn't. Hyeon Ju is kicking and fighting the gangsters so nimbly and I really like how she's using her brain and got her own deduction that she's not the daughter and daughter in law from chaebol family. Her sharp mind as prosecutor and all her investigation skills are on fire. @SilverMoonTea You sure you can't keep watching this when LSY becomes more handsome in suit? Not that his casual look isn't dashing but he's really oozing with charms the rich chaebol son who's going to have his revenge on his backstabbing uncle's family while also trying to regain his long last love? hahaha For now I don't know whether we will have a romance between the lead or not, but the plot is quite interesting. The eldest daughter is pretty much the villain here. I wonder where is the real Mi Na..
  13. No, not at the moment. I think I'll try to watch first few episodes of Young Lady and Gentlemen to see whether it can pull me in or not. The age gap between the supposed main lead when they got paired as couple didn't really make me interest but I'll give it a try.. I haven't watched any dailies since my last one Person who gave me Happiness (?) I wonder if there's no weekend drama from MBC and SBS anymore? They have just forgone and made new time slot for that allocated time? I remembered about 2 ~3 years ago I still watched an MBC weekend drama
  14. Ailee live version of this OST always brings feels and sometimes brought a goosebumps to me.. I tried to sing along this song once in a karaoke session and almost lost my breath for following her way of singing lol Currently binge watching Ryu Jun Yeol drama? New oppa for the month? hahaha Are you going to watch reply 1988 then? hahaha. I read recaps for this drama so I didn't hear the OST that much.. But So You always has a nice voice~ Oh wow Sondia. Her voice will be very suitable for this drama. I listened to the song and I think for those who were watching this drama and when her OST are played as the bgm, it would bring so many feels for the watchers. She has this power with her voice to make the drama scenes more powerful and gave you so many emotions.. If only subbers nowadays also translate the bgm when there's no lines from the characters, it would bring and give so many emotions for those who doesn't understand Korean.. ----- Few days ago I listened to several old OSTs and came upon to stumble these two songs.. I remember I liked this songs a lot during the drama airtimes. Five Children is one of the memorable weekend drama for me. It has its ups and downs but overall it's quite enjoyable. As One - Happy (ft Kiggen of Phantom) - Main theme song for the main couple KCM - Only You - Main theme for the younger couple.
  15. Several behind the story of IkSong from the special episodes The reason why Song Hwa likes rain Song Hwa likes the sound of rain when it comes down and the smell of wet earth when the rain made contact with the earthen. Actually Jeon Mi Do, didn't really like about rainy days, but ever since she filmed for Hospital Playlist, she became to like rain. To her, she thinks she's going to remember Ik Jun and Song Hwa whenever rains fall. How many times does Ik Jun visit Song Hwa's room? Well I did visit her room for many times. I guess it's more than what you imagine. GU : 40 times maybe? More than that. Rough trans Memorable scenes for Song Hwa SH : The scenes where the rain suddenly poured and we were running to find shelters and suddenly IkSong held hands while trying to avoid puddles ? That scenes, unlike people in their 40s, it feels innocent and fresh IJ : I also really like that scenes. When we're shooting that scenes, it's fun and exciting. Ik Jun and Song Hwa who were always having a comfortable friendship with each other, but at that moment when Song Hwa held Ik Jun hands, yes.. IJ : Song Hwa grabbed Ik Jun's hand first, right? SH : Yes, but Ik Jun is the one who stretched his hand out first IJ : Well that's true, but (he's saying) oh be careful with that (puddle) SH : Oh yes IJ : Anyway, Song Hwa was the one who grabbed Ik Jun's hand first. It's true that I was the one who gave out my hand but SH : I was the one who initiated it @SnowBlob did our curiosity get clear with this about the debate who held whose hands first? I will do more on Friday night after I'm back from office..
  16. I'll leave the candy hunting to last year winner.. Who was it again? All I can remember it's quite tight between @mademoiselle and @Phikyl ? Happy Moon Cake festival~ 해피 추석 ~
  17. For anyone who still visited this thread, I had some time today after work and try to translate the interview of Kim Jun, the child actor who played cutie Woo Joo. When I read his interview, my guess that one of the reason his lack of screen time probably because of school was right. He just entered the 1st grade of elementary. There are 2 kinds of interview and I just mixed it up. Source 1 2 Source 1 According to the casts of Hospital Playlist, they said Kim Jun was arguably the loveliest actor. Kim Jun who played as Lee Woo Joo, the only son of Lee Ik Jun, has a wide heart that understands his busy father and witty speech. With his cute and adorable appearance, he did great in playing a funny role and gave a strong impression. Kim Jun, who recently met with Xports News, was asked how he was doing after filming Hospital Playlist and said in a clear and strong voice, "I'm doing well in school." Kim Jun, who entered elementary school at the age of 8 (Korean age)this year, was asked the question if he were popular at school, and he answered, "No. Teachers and friends don't know (that I appear on TV). Only my brother's friends know." The mother who sat next to him said, "I think Jun is a celebrity at school, but his friends are too young don't really know that Jun is on TV. "Rather, his older brother's friends, who are two years older, recognize Jun." Also, there was a request from his mother to the teacher to not talk about it. It is not easy to say the lines that he memorized with unfamiliar adults in front of many cameras and even had to act emotionally. When the reporter asked if acting was difficult, Kim Jun said, "It's difficult. (But) When I think about it (I memorized the script). I enjoy filming the most." The reporter was amazed by his response which like a natural-born actor. When asked what his favourite word on set is to hear 'You did a good job' as a compliment. Kim Jun laughed out loud, saying, "I like all compliments. It's good when people say, Jun, you did a good job (for acting)." When asked how was the last filming, "I cried because I was so sad," he said with a gloomy expression on his face, and said, "I handed over candy (to the actors and staff)." The closest people on the set of Hospital Playlist are 'Dad Cho Jung Seok' and 'Aunt Ik Soon' (Kwak Sun Young) , whom he meets most often on set. Kim Jun picked Cho Jung Seok and Kwak Sun Young as his closest and favourite people, and boasted, "I'm the closest to Dad Cho Jung Seok . He treats me well when we meet. And I also close with Aunt Ik Soon. She asked if (I) had eaten." When asked what he usually talks about with Cho Jung Seok, he said, "I asked Dad if he has a girlfriend. Then he said yes (he has a girlfriend)" Jun's answer made the interview site into a sea of laughter. In the drama, he played as Woo Joo who has a girlfriend named Mone whose father is a PD. He was asked if he has a girlfriend in the real life. To the provoking question, Kim Jun explained, "I don't have a girlfriend. There are only two girls at school (in the same class). The rest are all boys," and then emphasized, "I don't want to date yet." Jun choose an actor and a rapper as his future hopes. According to his mother, Kim Jun who recently opened his eyes to rap besides acting said, "I like rapping! (Among rappers) I like Outsiders. (Why I like it) I saw it from 'Omniscient Interfering View' and he was handsome." On the spot, he re-enacted Outsider's rapid-fire rap, bringing laughter. In addition, Kim Jun expressed his extraordinary love for rappers by saying, "I watched 'Show Me the Money'. I like Swings and Mush Venom. I don't know for some reason, but Swings uncle is good, and Mush Venom uncle is handsome when he takes off his glasses." Finally, Kim Jun said, "I want to hang out with my cousin sister and (Kim) Yul Hyung on Chuseok," and then "Thank you viewers for watching Hospital Playlist a lot. Have a good Chuseok." ----- Source 2 Kim Jun who turned 8 years old this year (Korean age) said the reason he started to act was because of his own brother. "Hyung was the one who started to act and when I watched him, I started to want to act as well. That's how I follow him and took the challenge. While taking on the first audition with a prepared heart, I got a good result. After that starting point, I keep getting an offer. That's how I have been acting until now," said Jun. He started his acting career by chance and now Jun is already entering his 3rd year as a child actor. His filmography is quite reliable for his age. Among the projects that he took, Save Me 2 and Hospital Playlist series were his famous works. Thanks to such a career, Kim Jun succeeded in successfully completing the season-based drama, which is going through a bit longer than normal dramas. Since March last year and until this September, Kim Jun lived as Woo Joo for the past 1.5 years. Even among the seasonal actors, Kim Jun showed off his power and clearly revealed his own presence. Even though it looks like Kim Jun owned the character Woo Joo quite well, it wasn't like that since the beginning. "The first time I met with the director and writer, I felt nervous and afraid." At the making video of table reading, it's shown that Kim Jun broke in tears because of his nervousness. "(At that time) I was afraid while thinking 'what if I couldn't remember my lines? what if I couldn't act?' " explained Jun. "However, after appearing in Season 1 and 2, the nervous feeling has disappeared. All the uncles and aunts have become familiar and I can act comfortably. The director also treated me very well that I can act comfortably," said Jun while expressing his gratefulness. The one that he's thankful the most was towards his on-screen father Cho Jung Seok who's always by his side while acting as Ik Jun. Kim Jun said, "Dad Ik Jun liked to joke and be playful on set and he did many unpredictable ad-libs which also made me acted more comfortably. Actually, at first, I didn't even know what ad-lib is. Because what he said wasn't on the script, I was flustered because it would cause NG and it means we have to re-take the scenes again. Ever since that I knew what ad-lib is, I started to want and try ad-lib together with others. For the scene where they sang and dance to DOC's song, I wanted to dance together, but I missed the timing so it was too bad." His confession made the others laughed. Kim Jun added, "Dad often said that I did a good job and my acting was great, and he also assisted me a lot in many ways which gave me lots of strength." And maybe because of this gratefulness, Kim Jun said " If I become an adult actor and I have the chance, I want to try and play a character like Ik Jun." He explained, " Of course I want to try the other character of 99z uncles and aunt, but if I have to choose, then I want to act like Ik Jun. Rather than choosing him because he's my character's dad, Ik Jun is just really cool. And if I have to choose my specialties, I think I will choose the HBP which is what my Dad's specialties. Seeing how my dad treating the liver patients looks so cool." When asked what kind of an actor he wanted to be, Kim Jun answered, " I want to be an ordinary and common actor. It doesn't have to be the main character, but I want to act as a normal actor and do it for a long time. I want to become an actor who won't be picky with his characters and who can do everything with whatever characters he is assigned to." I hope to see him one day reunited with HP casts in his future projects too..
  18. I'm enjoying the first 2 episodes.. I like the comedy and the jokes. Lee Honey really pulled off the comedic acting for the first 2 episodes and I really had good laugh. For her to pull off speaking in French and Vietnamese... Wow great job. I knew she can speak English quite well and fluent, but I guess for those particular scenes she practiced her French and Vietnamese. Looking forward for the next episodes, it seems fun so far! @SilverMoonTea said this drama gives a mixed feelings of Mine and Fiery Priest.. Actually when I tried to think again, it gave me a little similar feelings for Graceful Family hahaha
  19. Despite it's her first time to meet with Jin Goo, they were pretty close and in sync during her visits on House on Wheels. Either she's the type to break the awkwardness fast or maybe she's pretty outgoing and friendly. And your oppa name is Yeo Jin Goo... Or have you forgotten already about him eh? I'm currently on House on Wheels season 2. I need something to take my mind off that there's no more HP episodes on Thursday... Wah the pages almost reach 300.. Don't tell me there will be candies hunting this year? I'l give up in advance for looking the hints for sooo many pages in dabang alone
  20. @SnowBlob my feelings still all over the place.. I have prepared my heart for the farewell and the ending and actually at first I felt calm when the last scene came... But yesterday night while listening to the OST I felt mellow and even burst out just now after watching ep 12 making scenes.. Maybe after gathering my thoughts and feelings I will reply to you.. And I can't believe we still have to depends on crumbs for our IkSong scene even when they have sailed.. They cut Jung Seok ad lib.. sigh... It would be more funny and natural between the two.. the progress from friends to lovers and to prove that there's no significant changes between their two dynamics, it just they can become more freely in expressing their affection for each other
  21. Next scenes are when on the weekend, their first official date outside the hospital as couple! Ik Jun and Song Hwa are going out eating in Chinese restaurant. He lets her to order anything she wants. And then he gets call from Ik Sun. At first he didn't want her to come but Song Hwa says just let her join. After Ik Sun, Jun Wan calls Song Hwa because he's probably bored and haven't eaten all day, according to him. Well best mates of eating monster won't say no if their partner is starving right? That's how we get Iksong and Bidulgi double date. Then Ik Jun invites Jun Wan and Ik Sun to a karaoke session, where he and Ik Sun will perform as duo after a long time. Both Song Hwa and Jun Wan only have eyes for their respective partners. Oh and even tough I really want to hear CJS and JMD duet, I guess CJS and KSY duet is fun too! Next is Song Hwa's turn to sing. Jun Wan want to stop her but Ik Jun says no, just let her sing when it's in karaoke. Both Jun Wan and Ik Sun are heaving a headache while listening to Song Hwa's out of tune singing. However our lover boy just keep watching the performance with sweet love in his eyes. To him, her singing side is so beautiful that her voice is so melodious to his ears. And in here Song Hwa's voice change to JMD real voice in the drama. hahahaha great one Shin PD! My memories are jumbled but the last scenes of them that I remembered is the camping scenes.. It's just the two of them this time because Woo Joo is away with Mone and her family. Maybe in their next camping trip in fall, they can go together again with Woo Joo... Iksong is sharing a tent There's no need for two tents when they can share Talk to you later when I woke up~
  22. @SnowBlob Because we keep discussing about Iksong in our PM, in here sometimes the flow of our conversation are mixed with the topic in here and the topics we talked in our PM LOL. And it finally finished... Our ship has sailed safely to the eternity in Hospital Playlist land.. For the scenes that we wished to see.. Oh well it can only happen in our mind and imagination.. Maybe one day if I get enough inspiration and brave enough to write it out, I'll share it to you first. I hope by then you won't be bored yet about me talking to you about Iksong again and again.. I don't think I can let this couple go for awhile from my mind.. They are stuck with me haha.. Our Iksong scenes in ep 12.. (Will do more detail or share some theories later. We have all the time for doing it after all) - Ik Jun leaves cup of coffee for Song Hwa when he became a coffee delivery boy for 99z in the morning. When he just drops other coffee and left it to his other friends, for Song Hwa he specially write a message on the cup holder sleeves. 'My surgery is expected to end around dinner time. See you later ~'. And Song Hwa really waits for him. She has done for the day and even Seok Hyeong asks why she didn't go home yet. She says she's waiting for Ik Jun to finish his surgery so that they can have dinner together. (Our guessing whether Iksong is going public or not is answered. At least to their friends, they want to openly say they're dating). She found him sleeping on her couch when she got back after talking with Seok Hyeong. You can see the love in her eyes, and the way she cutely called for Ik Jun name so that they can eat. And the things that Ik Jun wants for them to do, like other couple? Feeding each other.. He's too shy to say it himself and he can only reenact what he wants to her to do Then Song Hwa is up for the challenge, but then fail miserably because she's too shy and embarrassed to do that. In the end, they just eat the sushi on their own.. Maybe one day when they have dated for awhile.. I guess when this happened they are still quite new from friends to lovers.. Probably one or two days most after the kiss happened?
  23. And I guess this might be the last post of mine about Iksong scenes in ep 11.. The build up for their scenes since the beginning of episode until the end was really enjoyable.. It's raining and both agreed to stop for a while to enjoy the rain view while enjoying warm coffee. Ik Jun back after came running under the rain to deliver their coffee and about to start his car when Song Hwa stopped him. I didn't know why Ik Jun looked so surprised when she stopped him. The way Song Hwa asked Ik Jun to enjoy his coffee first, her tone is like a cute and little bit nagging (?) or whiny (>). If I have to describe it in Korean, the way she talked, she's showing an aegyo towards him. (this aren't shown in the video above) And after that the shy gaze they had when their eyes accidentally met after taking a sip of coffee, it screams 'It's time!' to me when I watched it live. While Song Hwa immediately turned away, Ik Jun's gaze stayed a little bit longer on her. 1st period of silence. When they just started to drink their coffee and there was this suddenly uncomfortable silence between the two of them. Song Hwa took a peak at his face before she lowers down her face. In turn Ik Jun then checked on her again before he suggested if they should turn on the radio but she didn't want to. I guess he's trying to break the uncomfortable silence between the two. The last time they spent alone time just with the two of them when back in January 2020, when they just finished a band practice. While Ik Jun is trying to break the silence, at the same time I think Song Hwa was gathering her all courage and bravery while contemplating the last chance she had before she spoke out her mind. (Look at the traffic light that is shown behind her. It showed red). When she just kept silence without even drinking her coffee, Ik Jun was really fidgeting in his seat and he tried to find something to do to just break the deafening silence inside the car. He offered to turn on the heater on her seat in case she felt cold, but she refused and saying that she felt hot (she's really burning with her impending confession towards him) and not feeling cold at all. She scolded him and ask for him to stop moving. 2nd period of silence. This time Ik Jun followed her wishes and the long 30 seconds and more of silence between them before Song Hwa said the first word. The beginning of sharing her inner feelings and thoughts to him. (Look at the traffic light that change to green the moment Song Hwa said 'Ik Jun-a...' SHwa: Ik Jun-a... IJ: Hmm? SHwa: I feel embarrassed about this, so I will only say it once and quickly. (IJ looks at her) You have to listen carefully. (feeling his gaze at her and glance back at him. Shut her eyes while shaking her head) Don't look at me, but at the front. (and IJ followed her requests immediately) SHwa: When you got accident, do you know what the first thing that came to my mind? (IJ shakes his head, even when she didn't even look at him) I should've confessed. I should say that I like you. I should've told you this. *sigh* This what the first thing that came up to my mind. IJ: (holding back his hidden smile and looks at her with a loving gaze) SHwa: (as if she could feel the tiny movement of his head, she immediately shut her eyes tight and took a breath) To the front. IJ: (followed her order but this time, the smile on his face is no longer hidden) SHwa: So... If you still have the same feelings... *deep breath* should we... *bit her shaking lip. close her eyes shut* IJ: (waiting patiently for her to finish her sentence) (there's a little nod movement his head that I'm going to take as if he's saying inside his head "should we..?" ) SHwa: Should we date? (finally saying this while keep her eyes shut tightly) Third period of silence. I couldn't really decipher what Ik Jun was thinking but it looks like he felt relived? He lowers his head down while breathing steadily. Meanwhile Song Hwa was probably trembling inside. It's hidden with the rain and wiper but you could see carefully that while she's afraid to hear his answer, the silence was eating her away and she slowly opened her eyes and took a peak on him, to see his reactions. Her eyebrows and the line in her forehead shows that she's curious about his reactions but she's also afraid to hear about it. IJ: (put down his coffee, breaking the silence and he looks at her. He waits patiently for her to look at him) SHwa: (bitting her lips while also being wary of what Ik Jun is going to say. But he's not saying anything so she bravely looks at him) IJ : (make sure that she looks at him) I'm going to give you my answer.. SHwa: *nods* (as if giving him the sign that she's ready to hear it) IJ: *nods back at her* *slowly approaching her while holding on her gaze* *kiss* @SnowBlob Only after I repeated several times of the kiss scenes (duh I sound like a pervert) that I realized that Song Hwa leaned towards him too and met him half way. Before Ik Jun's hands touch her neck, she's already moving towards him. Don't blink or you'll missed it LOL. Other than the confirmation kiss, what I really like is after their break apart. The gaze of the two shared with each others conveys lots of emotions. Ik Jun loving gaze at her and her full emotions gaze back at him after he brushed off her hair to see her face more clearly. The little thumb rub Ik Jun gave to her cheeks and the reassuring smile they gave towards each other, as if saying that it's real and not just a dream. And after that they buried each other head deeply while hugging tightly... Ha... I'm not good in deciphering or guessing the whole emotions about the scenes, but I tried to point out the little gestures that both JMD and CJS delivered during this emotional scenes that we might missed during our once or twice watch. Ready or not, Thursday has finally come and soon we'll finally see ep 12... Let's hope the best for our couple! See you after ep 12 ended air~
  24. I think I friend my brain to the max that when I woke up I felt exhausted for no reason haha.. I'm less than capable in producing many theories. What I wrote last night was made only after I read several opinions of others and that made me thinking. Before going to write another posts about our favorite couple interactions in ep 11, I want to remind you about a mantra I said to myself every time it's getting closer to the live stream time.. Let's just enjoy the series and lower your expectations. Throw out any kinds of expectations or speculations and let just watch and enjoy what happened in the episodes. I knew based on all experiences and expectations we had for the past 23 scenes, there were good and bad times when our expectations were met or far from it. Let's just hope the best and many screen times for our couple. By seeing them sailing we're already win and a kiss is like a gift for our patience :D. Mkay let's move to another one of favorite scenes in ep 11. The day Ik Jun got discharged from the hospital. Song Hwa seeing Ik Jun off as her duty for his doctor in charge wasn't that change, even tough she was going to have a difficult surgery ahead. I guess she tried to calm down her nerves by spending time with Ik Jun and hoping his presence can calm her. Just like as usual Ik Jun knew right away that she's worried about the upcoming surgery and his concern towards her long face said it all. Especially when his one sided gaze to her was done without him wearing glazes. Those eyes power were very strong and intense. You know @SnowBlob when Ik Jun turn his body facing Song Hwa, I thought we might get a side hug or even the famous shoulder tap. But Song Hwa suddenly turned her body facing her. I wonder what if she didn't turn facing him eh? In here, when Song Hwa said that two weeks would fly. Was she saying it to warn Ik Jun to not do strenuous activity and be patient for 2 weeks until he's fully recovered, or to calm her own heart that time would fly fast and she would see Ik Jun sooner or later when he's back from Chang Won Haa this scene is my favorite. Song Hwa called him first just to brag that she did well despite her wariness about the difficult procedure and the patient was getting better. She's masking her intention by asking his whereabouts whether he has arrived safely or not. After almost spending 10 days straight together with him, she's already missing his presence? :D When Ik Jun congratulated her on her successful surgery, she freely admitted it that she wants to brag to him that she did well on her surgery. But then he surprised her by waiting on her room. She didn't expect him at all to be there. Ik Jun is worried about her, because he could see how worried she was before the surgery. He wanted to be there for her after the surgery ended before he could feel relax and leave to Chang Won. To me, by saying this, Ik Jun wanted to be there for her, just in case the surgery didn't end well, he wants to be there for her and to cheer her up. If the surgery ended well, then he could just praise her by saying 'I knew you'd do it so well'. By saying he intentionally change the ticket train so just he could meet with her, it means a lot. Ik Jun is a sick patient and rest time is something important for him to recover well. Instead of doing that, he deliberately chose to wait for her and worrying about her, not about himself who's not recovered fully from his injuries. Can you see the emotions in Song Hwa's eyes? That she didn't know whether to be angry or just be thankful for his presence? She squeezed her eyes tight for seconds before replying his answer with a helpless smile. I thought this could be another chance we could get a hug! I think I remembered shouted a little at my screen during live screen, "Go and just hug that man Song Hwa! What are you waiting for? Say thank you with the hug, not just holding that damn door!" LOL Did you see how she try so hard to control her face and body to not reach or getting closer towards him? Like she just keep staring at him holding a smile while her eyes was a little bit shiny? There's an interesting theories from fans about Ik Jun's and Song Hwa's presence in each other room in ep 11. I wonder if you have come across this @SnowBlob ? That IkSong's room represents about their inner heart and their chair represents about their heart?
  25. About this card game scenes.. At first when I watched live, I was wondering for seconds why these two looks serious? But wait a minute, they are on the same bed?! Those thoughts were the first few that I could remember when I saw that. But then they played a card games, a guessing games whether you can guess whether your opponent is lying or being truthful to the cards they put down. At first just like you, I thought these game was just a filler scenes and a refreshing one. Oh sure we can see them being flirty and touchy with each other ( I saw you Ik Jun, your opportunity to hold her arms, getting closer ) But after Ik Sun caught them in the act and then her small comments to Jun Wan that she knew that IkSong are currently in flirting state that I realized maybe this way the writer and PD want to let 99z friends see that IkSong aren't just a close friends but there's something more than that? They have been friends for 22 years and counting, but there is this special dynamics between the two that aren't shared to others? Okay now about the card games theories. Similar with you @SnowBlob, I only found out about this later on the twitter once the episodes ended. Before I read the english comments and theories on Friday evening, I have read a similar theories from k-fan about it. More or less it contains and let us know a similar meaning, with the english theories more complete because they include the card games that have been mentioned in season 1 as well. Card theories When I read the k-fan theories, it helped me realize that Ik Jun knew Song Hwa quite well and he's pretty sure about it. He almost can read her and she couldn't lie to him. However unlike Ik Jun, Song Hwa can't read his mind at all because she's not sure whether he's lying or saying the truth. His goofy and playful expression made it hard for her to guess and I think it's similar with how they are feeling about each other. For the first round of games that are shown to us (guessing the spades card) Ik Jun didn't need a long turn catch on Song Hwa's lies and she didn't even pretend to hide that she is indeed lying. To me, when dealing with Ik Jun, Song Hwa is almost always being honest about herself and Ik Jun can always see that. Maybe even back in 1999 Ik Jun knew about the probability Song Hwa liking him. I mean if not, how could he become so brave to buy a ring as a gift for her as birthday present? They were just barely getting know each other after entering the university and he already wanted to confess?! And he's like almost sure that she would accept it. Wasn't it too fast? Second game (guessing the heart card). Like the first game Ik Jun chose the shapes which mean he's in control. He even teased her by showing that he's indeed have the heart shape card in his hands. Although it's not clear enough, I could see that Song Hwa did have many heart cards in her hand. Ik Jun is acting silly, trying to get a reaction from Song Hwa with them taking turns putting down the card. And I might be wrong, but from the way Song Hwa chose her cards and the position, I think she almost putting down all her heart cards, hoping to catch Ik Jun lie and made him lose. I think Ik Jun's provocation is succeed. Then after being goofy for awhile, he suddenly become serious before putting down a card and Song Hwa called a lie for it. He give her a chance to take it back and she's tempted to do so. But after thinking hard she decided to not use the chance to call back her word and oh well Ik Jun is being truthful with the heart cards. Now I know it's already getting longer that I intended and it might sounds unimportant and repetitive since I'd probably just copy-pasting what other fans have shared about the card theories. But from this round I see that Ik Jun is indeed very much in control of his emotion and won't let others know about it. He might lie and cover it up with his goofy actions, but when he's serious, it means business. If the heart shapes are used to represent 'feelings' and if I dare to make my own theories... - Ace hearts card means that Ik Jun did indeed like her since the beginning and he kind of showed it a little to Song Hwa. But he hid his feelings carefully and never showed it up. Among all other lies he showed to her, he might have buried those feelings carefully in between and Song Hwa would never knew. - Several cards and turns from both players. There's possibility that Song Hwa might have given out some signs that she likes him but Ik Jun didn't notice it. With him playing goofy and playful around her during that turns, maybe according to her, he didn't catch her signs and she missed the opportunities for him to now and for her to show her feelings. - Serious Ik Jun choosing to put down the Nine hearts card. After examining his thoughts, Ik Jun realized that he does still have a feeling for her. He might have buried it or hidden it well, but when the time has come for him to let it show, he did it after a careful consideration. (Sokcho semi-confession) - Song Hwa calling out 'lie' for Ik Jun action. She didn't believe at first about the possibility of him showing his real feelings. All these times she tried to fish out some reaction from him, it didn't succeed and she knew most of the hearts card were in her possessions. There's bigger possibility for him to lie than tell the truth. (Before the semi confess in NS dinner (and maybe during the breakfast time), Song Hwa never knew the possibility of him liking her back and seeing her more than just a friend. She knew her feelings for him but didn't know about his thoughts and feelings all this time) - Chance to back off. Ik Jun way for her to think about her decision and see whether he's sincere or not. (Giving her the time and space to think about his semi confessions) - Considering to back off. Song Hwa's time to reflect about her feelings and Ik Jun's sincerity. But because she's not sure and feeling afraid (you can see that the cards were quite plenty, which can signify the amount of time they spent together as friends), she prefer to take the risk and said no to that chance. - Revelation. Ik Jun is sincere this time about his feelings and he shows it to her. Gah my brains hurt in making thinking about theories.. I wonder those with a good brain who can connect things so easy and sounds believable. I really applaud them and thankful for those who help me seeing in more new perspectives. Another theories from k-fan that might or might not support with my theories. The lies of Ik Jun to Song Hwa You can see quite clearly that the card that he put down isn't heart shape. I wonder how fans could zoom in with an almost good quality like this - Saying that he got another plan, on the day they plan to meet (and for him to confess) - Saying that he got a plan for blind date, the date that he asked for - Saying that he didn't know and not sure about Song Hwa's liking someone when she rejected Seok Hyeong (and also lied that he didn't know about the details, while in fact he's there consoling Seok Hyeong from his heart break while also nursing Ik Jun's own heart break) - When Ik Jun consider to show Song Hwa his feelings, she called him lying and she asked him to not confess and just stay as friends - He sighs when Song Hwa won't change her mind that he's lying. A regret that he has for hiding his feelings and lying to her.. Bye for now. I need sleep to forget about this theories I made up suddenly in the middle of night and thinking about happy things for next posts, which would be about the Song Hwa's hard surgery and at last.. the confession..
