Lan and Mook are the human version of Tom&Jerry. These two bicker so much whenever they are together -- always trying to one up the other one. Haha! It does bother me a little bit how harsh Lan can be with his words. Mook is a very strong person to take all those things in. By her facial expressions and brief moments that's shown, you can tell that she is hurt by the things he says, but she quickly gets over them because right now, he (his family) is her lifeline.
I laugh whenever Lan and Rut are trying to show everyone that they are "together". I wonder how long they will keep up with this façade.
Based on the previews for today's episode (6), Lak probably hired Nuch to break Lan and Mook apart. It's pretty evident that she does not want to see both of them together for a year -- Lan will get rights to the company if he succeed. Also, the way she treats Danai makes him look like such a pathetic person. I know we both said that we think Danai is behind the attacks but there is a part of me that wish it's not him. He gets emotionally abuse by Lak quite a bit.
It's okay. 😊 I've just finished episode 6 today and I was busy recently so I've just visited Janghaven today so my replies were late.
😂 That's really accurate. I really agree with that. Both of them doesn't like to lose with one another. Yes, it bothers me too. His words can be as sharp as a knife. It really hurts Mook's feelings. She's indeed a strong woman to admire. 😊 She's just a person. No matter how strong she is, still she has emotions. I pity her sometimes. She's just trying to do her best as a daughter and sister to her family and as a wife for Lan. She really needs to set aside herself for the sake of her family.
Yes, I think so. 🤔 She's worried that Lan would take over the company which she had work for so many years. Just like a villain should do, she's willing to do everything to break the couple apart so that the company would be hers though there isn't a possibility it would happen. Danai seems like a puppet for her. I understand Danai's part. It feels like the love that they have is suffocating. It is pretty obvious that Lak is the domineering type. With this type of girl, men's pride and ego tends to get hurt. They should love each other equally. Relationships shouldn't be like that but more of a "give-and-take" type. If the other one is hot-headed, the other one shouldn't keep up with that. If your partner doesn't have a job or has one but yours is better and earns more, you shouldn't make them feel inferior. 😊 I also wish he wasn't the one behind these things. I think he's doing all of those bad things (if he really is his doing) because of his love for Lak. I think someone is willing to do everything for the people they love, even though it isn't right already.

I think that was Rut's house. 🤔 She seems to move in because of Lun and his dream about him. She's worried, cares and loves him. Mook is an adorable woman. She seems to have matured a lot compared to when she was young. 😊 Yes, I think he really saves her but he got injured. He shows concern for her. That's another milestone for my Petch-Rut loveteam! 😍

🤔 I don't think it's because of Mook's declaration of love for him. Maybe there's some other reason for it, a deep one. I do feel like he really cares for his family and their company. He's just feeling unloved because he treats him as a useless one and doesn't take things seriously. I kind of understand his feelings. 😊 I also hope for the same thing. They shouldn't let the viewers feeling left out because they didn't justify the reason. I think I've watched a lakorn like that but I forgot its name. Sometimes the reason wasn't explained so it somehow makes it less interesting for the viewers. So far, so good. I think the reason/s will be explained as the lakorn goes on. It's still a long way to go. We've only had 6 episodes so it's still early to say. 😊

Their relationship at first was quite graceful but quickly their pettiness escalated haha with all those contracts. He at first paying her tuition fees and didn't even scold her when she put herself in danger and he need to save her. But all those no chicken eating and no smoking rules start to drained them lols.
So far I like all the side characters too. They're all interesting on their own including Dam's brother, the ex-gumiho (she cracked me the most with her boisterous personality), her broken hearted guy friend, and the cuties Tiger born sunbae! (NEW Crush Alert).
The settings all so pretty, especially the yellow flower background.

I'm watching this one and is currently my favorite ongoing kdrama. I've finished this week's episodes too. I'm just waiting for next week's upcoming episodes. I love how they highlighted Jang Ki Yong's visuals! He's the perfect one to portray as a gumiho. 😍 Their chemistry is so good! 😍

That's very true! Lun does have this childish, almost immature side to him. It comes out whenever Mook is involved, which I still can't understand why there's so much hate. I mean, I understand the events that made him not like her, but I don't understand the extent of the hate. It seems a bit unjustifiable to me.
I can't understand the feeling Marut has for both Petch and Mook. It seems like he's really enticed by Mook but Petch has also pique his interest too. Maybe he shouldn't aim too high.
That's very true. I think Lak also side with Win because she does benefit from him and can get him to do just about anything she wants too. Danai is a bit more level headed with some of the decision making but maybe that's what's going to make him turn bad too?

Yes it really comes out whenever Mook is around. 😂 I also can't understand where that hate comes from. Maybe it will be unveiled more in the next episodes. I don't think it's just because of Nuch. I think there's a deeper reason why he hate Mook so much. For me, he's hatred is too much. But maybe it's his way of hiding his true feelings. 🤔
Yes, maybe he shouldn't expect a lot with Mook since the girl is in love with Lun. I don't think she has a room for him on her heart. He should really just choose Petch. 😉😂 I really like the thought of them as a couple in the drama. I think they have that wide age gap. Although Rut is older than Petch, I think their relationship would still be ideal. 😊
I really think Danai is a bad guy and seems to have a relationship with Nuch. Though at first, I did think of him as a good guy but after some episodes, he really seems the opposite type. He seems to get overpowered by Lan which makes him feel inferior but I think he's doing this things for Lak. Maybe Nuch is his other girl and gets romantically involved with her because he wants to feel that he is important too. Plus Nuch can be his Pawn in order to kill and remove Lun which is an obstacle for his wife's happiness (which is to have the company that she wants). Sorry, I think this is the effect of reading and watching too much of romantic stories. 😂

Rut and Petch is such a cute couple. I love that interaction. She really cares and has feelings for Rut. Their relationship is very friendly-like so far. I really wish they would be a couple soon. 😍
I really think Lun has feelings for Mook even when they were young. Maybe Mook has done something terrible to him that's why he hates her a lot. 😊

That was a really bad accident. Thankfully, I wasn't the only one having that thought. 😂 It really is very drama like. In reality, it takes a year or two to recover from that type of accident but in the drama they only have a few scratches and bruises. That scene was way too impossible. Yes it only happens in dramaland. 😂 That's really funny. I would accept the thought of him dying if he really looked like it or else I won't even believe it. Some of the scenes in a drama are way too far from reality. I love how they both showed concern with each other when that accident happened.
Yes finally he agreed. 😂 He's too convinced that Mook is involved in the recent bad happenings he experiences since Mook is always there to save him. Lun is way too close-minded.
I really love Mook's looks on those dresses. 😍 She's so pretty and has a nice type of body. Lun is so funny. 😂 I love it when he daydream about Mook seducing him or he imagine some situations with her involve. 😂 It really makes it exciting and also when they romantically bicker a lot. Lun can't help but feel something for Mook. I really laughed when he sent a message for Rut to come over and help him. 😂 I do notice that Lun is just like Petch. He's too childish and narrow-minded.
After watching the recent episodes, I do feel like Rut is developing some feelings for Petch and not for Mook. Marut and Petch looks so cute together. 😍 I think Rut is just enclosed with the thought that he likes Mook. I don't know, maybe it's just my thought and he just sees Petch as his little sister. I want Marut and Petch to be a couple. ❤️ I really think that Rut's assitant will develop some feelings for Petch. I can't wait to see a jealous Rut when he sees Petch and his assistant getting too closed with each other either because of work or having some romance in it. 😊 The thought really excites me. 😂
Yes, I do suspect those 3 too as the killers since those three have the vibe or thought of something bad for Lun but I really suspect Danai a lot. 🤔 I'm somehow convinced it was him since he really loves Lak a lot and I think would do everything for her, just like how Win would do the same thing for his wife. I really think Nuch has a connection with the killer. I think that Win has been liking Laknara since they were young, based on the throwback scene in the episode but I don't think Lak has feelings for him. Yes they are way too close for being friends but I do think that Lak only thinks of Win as a friend while Win thinks of her romantically. I think she sided a lot with Win since she benefits a lot with him around. 😊
There's a lot of things that could possibly happen in the succeeding episodes. It's way to early to have a fixed mindset for the characters in the drama. There might be a hidden plot twist towards the end. 😊

Lun is not entirely wrong in his comment to Marut. He can trust Marut to keep his secret whereas he would not be able to do that with someone else -- someone that he is paying.
Nuch is Lun's ex-girlfriend, the girl he was dating when he was younger. She's also the girl that did terrible things to Mook. It's unclear what her motives are, but the lakorn did make note that she approached Lun with an agenda in mind. I'm curious to find out why and also if she's working with the killer. I do appreciate that when Lun met up with her, he was direct with her on how her actions (when they were younger) affected him.
Lun and Mook got into a pretty bad car accident but they barely had any scratches on them. They were able to resume their normal activities like nothing. Wah?! Is this even possible? Haha! Only in dramaland can something like this happen. I'm coming off Oh! Master where nothing happened to the male lead when he got hit by a truck and suddenly he has 49 days to live -- I'm still a bit jaded and paranoid.
Lun finally agrees to the marriage because his dad promised that after a year, he can get a divorced and do whatever he wants without his dad getting in his way. He also wanted to figure out why someone is out to kill him -- he is convinced that Mook has something to do with it.
Mook looked absolutely stunning in all the wedding dresses (although, the pants one was not flattering on her from the waist down). I love watching Lun trying to refocus himself every time she came out with a new dress. He even called Marut over to help him because he was afraid he wouldn't be able to refrain himself and needed reinforcement (otherwise Mook would find out that he's not really gay). Haha!
I don't understand why Marut is going after Mook when he looks the cutest with Petch.
The person that's trying to kill Lun, I suspect that it has something to do with Laknara, Win, and Danai. Those three want him gone because they want to take over the shares to the company. I thought it was interesting that Danai eavesdropped on Lun and Mook when they talked about the killer but didn't seem concern. The other possible candidate would be whatever Nuch is scheming but I don't think she needs him around to get whatever she wants. ALSO, does Laknara and Win have some sort of romantic relationship? Their interaction is just way too close for two "friends". I mean Laknara basically told Danai off and sided with Win without even considering what Danai has to say.
I think Lun pretending to be a gay in order to avoid the wedding is a really lame excuse. Actually, I didn't even believe it in the first place. 😂 Everyone knows that his character is a womanizer so it is way too impossible. I think if she chose Nuch, his parents would still insist him marrying Mook. Whether he pretended to have a relationship with Rut or with Nuch, I think the ending would still be the same.
I think Marut is a trustable friend. They've been friends for so long already. Yes, I don't think you can trust someone to pretend or do something for you with payment involve. We actually don't know what might they think of. They can work for other people with bigger amount offered to them, unless they are loyal to you. 🤔
Yes, I do remember Nuch was his ex-girlfriend. That girl was really mean to Mook when they were young and I think she'll be more mean now that they've grown up. Yes the lakorn made the viewers think like that. I really believe she has an objective in mind for approaching Lun again when I don't think she has feelings for him and she's doing it for the killer. Yes, I did like the part that he directly told her that it was really over and it is all in the past.

Yes, almost every episode of a lakorn are that long. I also prefer the shorten ones. If it tends to get draggy, I do FF a lot. It seems to get less interesting too since you will feel like they've offered enough for the drama already but want to have more episodes since it is popular.
Yes for the new episodes. Alwaysgrumpycat website will have some delay with the release of the episodes for this week since she is busy with her exam. 😊

Yes it doesn't match at all. I think they are both funny and have a nice personality. Didn't know he can say such things. I think that inheritance thing is indeed really popular in Asian countries but I don't really know if it also exists or popular in US or European countries. I mostly see this matter with Asian dramas or movies. Well thank you for sharing that thoughts. I think my parents would left something valuable for the three of us so I think we're going to have some equal share of things though we aren't as rich as those like that in the dramas or movies. I think it's okay to give such inheritance to a man since they need to support their future family in order to provide their needs. It really happens a lot of times.
Yes, every people has their unique way of coping up with situations but Petch's behavior isn't justifiable. She should be more understanding with the current situation that they have. She's really a spoiled brat. 😂
Yeah, I think so too. You should marry who you love not because it's what ypur fate dictates. 😉

I think we would still enjoy watching it even if there are 22 episodes.

My mom went to see a shaman. I don't think she went specifically to talk about my marriage (LOL!) but she asked and that's what they told her.
I don't think I've seen anything he's in. Truthfully, I've been away from Thai lakorns for a while and started getting back into it again this year. I'll check out that lakorn when my drama watch list is a bit less full.
Me too. I don't think that the change of a daughter's surname would stop her from being her parent's child. I can't help but be disappointed with what Lun's father has said. So far, my parents haven't told me that line. Hmmm... maybe he wants to imply something more appropriate but it came out offensively. What you said made me think of it. I hope my parents wouldn't take it that way. I do think that Lun's father will regret it in the end. She really looks older than him and mostly of the same age as his parents. The one in charge of casting the characters should've casted someone younger than her. I think there are a lot of actresses in Ch3 could pass as his older sibling. I thought I was the only one who noticed it.
I find her selfish on that part too. She should've helped her mom in baking those sweet treats as she was doing it for them. Yes I agree, I do understand her not selling those precious collections but she should help her mom and sister in her own simple way. It's okay. 😊 Before he had smaller roles, now he's being offered some lead roles. His latest drama before Praomook was World of Himmapan which subber Thippy has subbed. I didn't watched it yet. I really liked him in the drama Likit Haeng Jan. It was subbed by a subbing team that I think isn't familiar with you. You can check it out at their group's facebook account. So far I really like that Mook doesn't give in to Lun's antics. It was nice to see the nang'ek be the one to challenge everything the pra'ek says. I don't think that happens often in Thai lakorns because the nang'ek is usually a bit submissive to the pra'ek.
Lun's parents are hilarious as usual with their superstition. It reminds me of my mom. She once told me that she looked into it and I needed to marry a widow to live a happy life. Hahaha!!
Marut is definitely interested in Mook just based on episode two. I think it's pretty much confirmed that he will start a one-sided love line with Mook. It seems like Petch will start a one-sided love line with him too.

I do agree with you that it is really rare in lakorns that the Nang'ek isn't submissive to the Pra'ek. I like Mook's character since she's strong and independent. 😍
I find it hilarious too. 😂 I think most of our parents believe in superstitions. Wow, your mom is the same as Lun's mom. 😂 Did your mom go to a psychic too or fate reader to see what your fate will be? This is really something to laugh about. Thankfully my mom didn't do that so far. 😂 Gosh I'm holding my stomach right now because I laugh really hard.
Yes he is really into her. I really think it would be one-sided based on episode 2. Petch would really be like that too. Can't just the two of them fall in love with each other since the very start? 😂 Just kidding. It wouldn't happen because they aren't the leads of the drama. I hope that if they would become a couple, it would be on the earlier episodes not after 1 or 2 episode before the ending. I don't want to see Marut feel unloved. I like Krating after watching Likit Haeng Jan (Moon's Destiny). 😍
I think it would be more interesting in the next coming episodes. 😍

In this first episode, the lakorn spent much of its time setting up the storyline and drawing the connecting between Mook and Lun.
Lun was born with bad luck and his parents were told that if he married a girl born at a certain time (I forgot the birth stuff), it would help turn his luck around. Mook was the person that he was to married and it seemed like the parents held a small wedding for both of them. Lun is extremely against the idea whereas Mook really loved him. Both of them went to the same high school and when Mook confessed her love to Lun, he coldly shut her down. Lun told Mook that if she was the last girl on earth, he would rather die than have anything to do with her. He did this in front of the entire school.
Fast forward many years later, Mook and Lun did not stay in touch. Both of them are in South Korea and Mook is DJing at an event that Lun attended. Lun is captivated by Mook and even goes to find her after she's done. He tries to use a lame pick up line on her (Have we met before? Hahaha!) which doesn't work. Mook pushes him away and start screaming for help. This prompt Lun to run away with his fiend (who also was at the event). As both of them were running, they started getting chased by these people. The people wanted to kill them but were unsuccessful.
Mook plans on staying in South Korea to continue her DJing career but she gets a call from her family that her dad is in the hospital. It turns out, the family is in a lot of debt. Her dad put the house up as collateral and since he has missed multiple payments, the family is not able to live there anymore.
Mook does her best to try to find the funds to pay off her dad's debt including selling her things. She suggested to her sister that she needs to also sell off her figurines which caused a problem between them. Petch loves her figurine and to her, they are as precious as Mook's DJing equipment.
With Lun, he returns home and quickly collapsed because when he was getting chased in South Korea, the people shot at him. The bullet missed him but did scratched the surface of his arm. He was taken to the hospital and while there, we see that Lun does not have the best relationship with his sister. It is suggested that the sister might have been the one to hire the people who were trying to kill him.
My Thoughts: I don't like that Lun's dad has misogynistic views and talked about Lun's sister being a stranger now that she's married with a different last name. That's pretty insensitive especially since this is his own daughter. Lun's dad is probably the reason why Lun's sister dislike him so much.
Lun definitely has your playboy vibe, which makes sense because based on the synopsis he is supposed to have multiple women around him. Sometimes I forget that Thai lakorns still highlight sexual harassments rather it be good or bad. He suggested both of them spend the night together when he just met her! Mook is full of sass and I love that she doesn't take any crap from Lun. She's a strong independent woman and doesn't seem like one to back down from a challenge.
I thought Lun's parents were funny when it came to their superstition. Lun's mom carried the "wedding" photo of Lun and Mook in her wallet for good luck. When Lun was in the hospital with a fever, she put the picture underneath his pillow. The next day his fever went down and she attributed it to the photo. Haha! All this talk about superstition definitely reminds me of my mom.
Again, much of the focus in episode one was just setting everything up. We'll probably get more movement in the following episodes and be introduced to the crazy girlfriends that Lun has too.
One more thing -- the lakorn kind of suggested that Lun's friend in South Korea (Marut) might like Mook, but Petch (Mook's sister) idolize him and he was relatively nice to her in one scene. I'm still on the fence about this because I dislike love triangles so I'm really hoping we do not get one with him.

I finished watching the first episode too. I really agree with you about Lun's dad. What he said is way too hurtful for his daughter. I guess in reality, some dads are like him. They do underestimate women a lot. I also think that he's the reason why Lun's sister dislike him. It would really hurt my feelings if I was his daughter.
He really has that vibe. 😂 Yes they do highlight much of that because most of the genres of lakorns is slap/kiss. I think that matter became a normal view for lakorns. I really love Mook's character. She's independent and a badass. 😂😍
😂 That superstition was really fun. I can't help but laugh at it.
So far, episode 1 was a likeable episode. I think it will be more interesting as episodes goes by. I'm still looking forward to this one since I love their pair up. 😍 I bet I'll get stressed with Lun's girlfriends. 😂
I think Marut would really like Mook based on the teaser before. I think there would be some conflicts with the siblings since Petch likes Marut but he likes her sister. Things could be complicated in the succeeding episodes. 😊 It's okay to feel that way. I'm not that much fond of love triangles too because of the "Second Lead Syndrome" but most of the dramas have it so it is inevitable. I would still watch the drama even if it has it since I really like it. I think Marut and Petch will be a couple or would each other's love interest but maybe it would happen in the episodes close to the ending. 😊
I was so happy to see that they've filmed in Korea. 😍

I think I prefer my lakorns to be on the shorter side in terms of episodes because I know that the longer they are, the draggier they get.

It's okay, I do understand. You deserve that rest too. 😊 Yes, I also think he's using her. I find it creepy and disgusting the way Danai treats Mook.
