Isn't that the distinct trait of a very smart person? That's Shiyiniang all right. I'm scratching my head a lot lately when I read MDL's comments. How on earth could anyone conclude that she is evil? Or hasn't been honest in what she has done so far? I think we are all watching this drama while they are watching something else, perhaps?

Ahh... is that so? I didn't watch any spoilers of 37 or after. My first thought after finishing 36 was 11 wanted to appease 01 by letting him come up with the draft for her Fu embroidery instead of using what Ou has written since she knew of his "jealousy" after hearing who actually wrote it. But since you've seen the spoilers/trailers, I guess it's all about that spy.

I just love it when Wallace pouts and sulks. Too cute lol. I enjoy watching them push and pull. Best bickering couple so far lol. So I am fine if they start "bickering" again because who knows, another couple of great kisses? HAHA.

Btw, JH friends, the latest C-rumor mill buzz on The Long Ballad is it is likely to premiere on 3.24 (or thereabout). If true, awesome! Just about right to fill the "void" after TSnTB ends. Perhaps the final 9 eps will be dumped next Monday (22nd) in view of this new and highly anticipated "competitor" But I will be more than happy not having to wait another week for the last 3 eps of 1101 CP lol though I would be very sad to bid farewell to them so soon. Dare we hope for a season 2? The novel is very long... so perhaps a prequel (like Royal Nirvana? Btw, does anyone feel this drama has some semblance to RN? The flashback of actions/events that happened before certain incident)... Anyway, will definitely rewatch in a bingeathon someday soon

Awesome! I think this is their first CP collaboration in a drama (?). They should appear together again in another drama, perhaps in a historical or period or xianxia genre. That would be so good! It's about time. I'm not suprised. I've watched till Ep 5 only (12 are released so far).

I just hope perhaps...err.... not atop of TSandTB on days when it is on air? haha my bias right now although I really love Rattan. It's so refreshing and such a captivating watch! Si Teng's costumes are so beautiful and perfect for her; and Qinfang serving her as his master... they are so adorable together! Not to mention the cinematography and all that the PD is brilliant at!

The ratings and rankings are already through the roof awesome! No worries there. As for those comments, yeah, I read them too. I think a lot of the impatience stems from not fully understanding the plot development and setting. Besides, many people skipped lots of segments because they don't like this or that scene, so if they are unclear, then that's their own doing (or more like, their undoing). On the whole, I see many, many more viewers enjoying the slow and steady build up to a solid romance. I'm awed by this PD and screenwriter, and 1101CP are true masters of their craft. They are perfect as a couple who married not out of love, but for familial reason and then slowly understanding each other and slowly falling in love with each other. So believable!

I've just managed to complete watching till Ep 30. That scene you mentioned above... I did a double take and was going... WHOA! That's my 01 hero! That was an excellent segment and I had to rewind to rewatch it because I did not realize 01 rushed in until 11 turned around and gazed at him! 1101CP and PD, you all did a wonderful job in that scene alone! 

With the OST in the background, it makes it all the more touching when you watch this rescue. JJANG!

I breezed through all 10 eps but erm... mostly in the background while multitasking hehe. I'm more interested in scenes between the main CP and the second CP, although the police and hospital aspects look quite interesting too. I love Sandra Ma in anything, so it's a watch for me anyway. But I am impressed with BJT. I think it's my first drama with him in it. This Mika/Xing CP feels like a winner already! In fact, I like the second CP too. They are cute. And oh, can I have a landlord like XKL too?

However, 1101CP holds my full attention. I can't do anything else while watching them. And I need my entire being in attention haha (bet many of you are likewise?). Loving them and the drama more and more! Ep 31 is so far away...

Ep 22 is the episode where they learn more about each other, and slowly fall for each other. How I wish the drunken general did consummate his marriage that night lol

I'm all caught up for this. It was a satisfying binge. It seemed to end almost as soon as I've started. And some clever editing to end Ep 18 at bedtime. This OTP is a cute and lovely pair.

SPOILERS (for anyone who hasn't gone past Ep 12)

This has, in so many ways, especially because of this OTP (probably my huge bias hehe), surpassed Ming Lan by Ep 12. I guess I can now rest and catch up with the rest (13 to 18) over the weekend. Anyone else's heart dropped when you saw this (and look at Shiyiniang's eyes lol):

And yes! Finally! XLY is taking his wife back home. Finally some real action from this general. I thought he was too indifferent, too aloof and too uncaring of our sweet Shiyiniang (sweet but not so smart, for now, of course it's no doubt for character growth, likewise for our general). But he has his own nonchalant way of caring, just as he did with his late first wife, Yuanniang. Btw, so sad to see her leave the world of the Luo family (and this drama). I love YIng'er too. But well, she just has to go to pave the way for Shiyiniang to marry into the household to watch over her Luo Family, esp. her son and husband.

Besides the beautiful embroidery, the beautiful settings and cultural artifacts, I love the bickering and coldness these two are sharing at the moment. So I am fine with the angst (caused mostly by none other than the hateful schemer, Concubine Qiao) and the non-sugary behavior of them. Slowly but surely their flame of romance will glow, yes? Looking forward to their consummation (they haven't, right? I didn't miss it, right? haha), and erhem, that passionate kiss and more, more, more!

There goes a good drama down the gutter, at least for me. They have scripted till 18 with only 2 more to go toward wrapping up, and JS has reportedly done most of his scenes. Aish... I can't see how this would still work out well, no matter who his replacement would be. Just like Delayed Justice was a good drama till something unforeseen happened... sigh... and even with JWS taking over the role in DS, it was a drop for me. Likewise, though I love sageuks, this drama has been not as good thus far (plot and pace haven't been as tight, but quite all over the place), I'm going to drop this and not even bother to see what else happens.

Yeah there was - Negotiator. That was quite a stretch in pairing. But I watched it till the end because the theme was interesting.

Me neither. He is "new" to me. I think this is the first drama of his that I am watching. But he does have quite a portfolio. Just not what I've been watching lol. No doubt very cute lol, and thus far (3 episodes), seems quite good in portraying a doctor in this drama.

Haha... but they are not that far apart in age (or even in looks) - 34 vs 26. There are worse cases of over ten, even almost twenty or more, in age differences. On the whole, I don't care about the age difference. Some may look too young/old for their age, but others may look too young/old for their role. I care more about the script/plot, the acting/cast and the production (setting, cinematography, genre, etc).

There has been a change in name, again. It's now  《骊歌行》 (as seen at QQ.com and its official weibo account). It sounds like some form of influence by the other highly anticipated drama 《长歌行》. It looks like this XK/LYT drama is scheduled to premiere this month. I guess new posters with the new title are in the making. 

As I was watching the drama, I seemed to see flashes of Louis Koo in his younger days. Isn't there a striking resemblance of Ian Yi to Louis Koo?  

PS: No idea when these two photos were taken. I thought they look very much alike.
