  1. Oh so i guess it has yet to be translated until now. I do wish they do translate it, I am willung to subscribe. Same with the novel. I wanna buy it.. I read somewhere that the main reason that San in the drama is more likeable is mainly because they've allowed his POV in the drama. While compared to the book it was mainly DeokIm, her life and her surrounding and San's pursuit and the court/harem politics that seemed like DI was exposed but was not protected much from. I guess as a drama, it would have been hard to root for a romance if San was less empathetic. Gawd I really really wish we have a translation of the novel. Even though it is a bit different from the drama. Also the webtoin needs to be translated... and maybe more historical facts on Yeongjo and DeokIm. At the spoilers, at this point I've probably read most. Rightm history as well as the novel version of the painful parts...? So i probabaly am prepared and ready for the pain... right???? 2. LoL i think we are all in. That look from San is just... Nuneo is just shredding my heart... i am dying... hahaha I was wondering how DI came to be sleeping in his bed. I thought that she might have fallen asleep while sge sat and waited on him. Then seeing her tired, he carried her to his bed... But i saw in twitter that there is a legit duty of Court Lady to lie in bed of royals to warm it. Hahaha i never knew that... I learn new things in Twitter. Hahahaha I checked it when it first got published and when onky 3 episides were out. There were no translation. Is it still untranslated? The drawings where nice too... Also posting here the post you forwarded to me of the episode 16 script I wonder if they are done filming for episode 16. I remember Junho mentioned in bubble a few days ago that they were in the last part of filming, but that was before they were approved for 1 episode extension... 3. @abs-oluteM @suhodorable It would have been awesome if this was in Netflix, mainly because it would reach wider base... but even if this was licensed by netflix I think this would still remain as is, mainly cause if this were in MBC restrictions will still apply cause as @abs-oluteM mentione K19 is still very different and mild than the western rating. Hahaha Junho and 50 shades. His solo performances just gives a peek at his brain.. wuri nuneo is..... sly and Hahaha Episode 9 Preview | Eng Sub NG Part 2 | Eng Subbed Episode 9 Stills vs Novel Text

MBC is on a slight upward trend this year with its content and “The Red Sleeve” has become its first mini-series in nearly three years to surpass the double digits in ratings. In writing, the drama is about as typical as you’d expect from a historical setting but it retains the fun some MBC dramas used to have. A lot of my friends have been urging me to see “The Red Sleeve,” I am personally not the biggest fan of historical content so I am always apprehensive about checking historical dramas, this is one of the dramas I don’t regret watching- as of yet. Note: this is a subjective review. I will share my personal opinion while keeping in mind how others might perceive it. This is a spoiler review FULL READ HERE: https://www.jazminemedia.com/2021/12/the-red-sleeve-episode-1-to-8-review/

  9. Lee Junho and Lee Seyoung's effort/Hard work and dedication to their craft is no joke. I am glad that the fruits of their hard work are slowly being appreciated and recognized and I guess this piece of info are for some like who are a bit worried with how the story will be affected in pace/narrative with the extension and MBC are watching the trend of the clips being watched. it is going upward. so happy...!!!
  10. Day 5 | Dramas where You Wished the Leads Would End up with Someone Else: Nabi and JaeEon of Nevertheless + Yeo Joon and SoBin of At a Distance, Spring Is Green. I think this one is pretty self explanatory. Day 6 | Most Disappointing Drama of 2021: Sisyphus: The Myth. This was one of my highly anticipated drama because of Jo Seungwoo and the premise, but sadly by episode 4 I know I just did not get how stupid all the characters are. There was also a very poor world building in this drama. It still hurts thinking about this drama Day 7 | Drama That Made You Laugh The Most: Mr. Queen. I've watched the original Chinese version Go Princess Go, that was one over the top slapstick drama that I adore and is one of my guilty please. And the Korean adaptation did not disappoint, especially with Shin Hyesun Helping all the comedic antics. it was just pure comedic gold Day 7 | Drama That Made You Cry The Most: Move To Heaven. The best drama in 2021 for me
  11. It really is surreal seeing this much praise and recognition Junho has been earning for TRS. But I think critics / insider and those in the industry always considered him, Siwan and Kyungsoo as the idols who are actors. it just too a bit of time and a perfect drama in TRS for the general audience to see that. “The Red Sleeve” to increase one more episode, ending with 17 episodes in total Hachi1207 | December 9, 2021 According to OSEN’s report on December 9th, MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “The Red Sleeve”, which was planned to have 16 episodes, now will end after episode 17. This move is aimed at creating a stronger ending by extending the main broadcast with one more episode, not a special broadcast. “The Red Sleeve” is a drama depicting the sad romance between a king, who prioritizes his country, and a court lady who wants to protect the life she has chosen. This drama tells about a historical fact, interpreting the romance of King Jeongjo, the 22nd King of Joseon, and his concubine, Euibin Seong, from a modern perspective. It was based on a novel of the same name. In particular, the drama is receiving huge love from K-Drama fans for impressive performances of Lee Jun-ho, who plays the Crown Prince Lee San, and Lee Se-young, who plays the court lady whose last name is Euibin. The recently aired 7th and 8th episodes recorded ratings of 10.7% and 10.5%, respectively. The drama is showing a rare rise in the terrestrial broadcasting market, in which a rating exceeding 5% is considered ‘good’, and a double-digit rating is a ‘big hit’. Meanwhile, the production team plans to repay the viewers’ support and make a successful ending with a stronger impact. Therefore, they decided to extend the drama by one more episode. Regarding the script for the 16th episode, which was the previous final episode, it was already completed the day before the drama was broadcast for the first time. It is expected that working on an additional script will not be difficult. Currently, “The Red Sleeve” is focusing on the last-minute filming for various stories in addition to the romance that appears in the second half of the drama. Both the production team and the cast are determined to do their best until the end to repay the love they received from the audiences. “The Red Sleeve” airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 P.M. 15. The real reasons why Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young’s ‘The Red Sleeve’ could surpass Song Hye-kyo’s ‘Now We Are Breaking Up’ Hachi1207 | December 8, 2021 Reporter-turned Youtuber Lee Jin-ho revealed behind-the-scenes stories about MBC drama “The Red Sleeve”. On December 8th, a video titled, “The real reason why Lee Jun-ho and Lee Se-young could surpass Song Hye-kyo”, was posted on Lee Jin-ho’s Youtube channel. Lee Jin-ho began the video by saying, “MBC’s drama The Red Sleeve has caused a craze these days with its ratings exceeding 10%”. He mentioned tvN’s Jirisan, which is aired at a similar time to The Red Sleeve and SBS’s drama Now, We’re Breaking Up, saying, “In fact, the competition of Friday-Saturday dramas gained huge attention was because of the face-off between Jun Ji-hyun and Song Hye-kyo.” Then, he said, “However, the unexpected winner of this Friday-Saturday dramas competition was The Red Sleeve. Jirisan and Now, We Are Breaking Up were left behind due to the rise of an unanticipated battle between the two dramas.” Lee Jin-ho also revealed behind-the-scenes stories of how The Red Sleeve topped the rating chart among famous dramas. He explained, “In fact, Lee Se-young and Lee Jun-ho were not supposed to play the main characters in The Red Sleeve. Other actors were cast, but due to various problems, the production was halted.” Citing the remark of an official in the entertainment industry, the Youtuber said, “The fact that the production failed once seems to have become a good thing. I think the role of King Jeongjo found Lee Jun-ho, who could portray this character perfectly.” Regarding the 2nd reason why The Red Sleeve won the competition between dramas of the same broadcasting time, Lee Jin-ho pointed out, “PD Jung Ji-in, who was in charge of directing The Red Sleeve, has a really good reputation. On the outside, she is quite strong and has a ‘female warrior’ style. However, she is well-known as a person who takes good care of people around her”. The Youtuber also mentioned Jeong Hae-ri, who previously worked as the youngest writer of MBC’s “Lee San, Wind of the Palace”, worked on the script of The Red Sleeve and improved the quality of this drama. Lastly, Lee Jin-ho pointed out the 3rd reason, which is the actors’ “passionate performance”. He said, “In particular, Lee Jun-ho is more attached to The Red Sleeve than any other work”, and explained that Lee Jun-ho had taken thorough care of his body by not touching a little bit of snack from the coffee trucks at the filming sites in order to maintain a great body for the body-revealing scene. Regarding the female lead actor Lee Se-young, Lee Jin-ho said, “Despite the poor filming environment, after getting vaccinated for the second time, Lee Se-young concentrated on filming without taking a break or recovery days off from the vaccination”, adding, “Even though she is the female lead, she took care of all the staff at the filming set.” SBS’s The Red Sleeve, which began airing in November, depicts the sad romance of a king, who prioritizes his country, and a court lady who protects the life she has chosen. The drama has received many compliments for making good use of the affectionate romance of King Jeongjo – Lee San and Eui Bin Sung with solid directing and the actors’ acting skills. Since the 7th episode, which was aired on December 3rd, The Red Sleeve has maintained its No.1 position in the list of Friday-Saturday dramas with a rating of 10% (according to Nielsen Korean’s national standard). tvN’s Jirisan recorded a rating of 8% on December 5th, while the viewership figure of SBS’s Now, We Are Breaking Up was 6% for the episode aired on December 4th. 19. 4 actresses with outstanding performances as female leads in 2021 historical K-dramas Hachi1207 | December 8, 2021 These 4 actresses impressed the audience in this year’s most well-known period Korean dramas. 2021 has been a memorable year for fans of historical K-dramas. In addition to captivating storylines, acting also plays an important role in the success of these dramas. Let’s take a look at 4 of the best female lead portrayals of Korean actresses in 2021 historical dramas. -- omitted some unrelated parts-- Lee Se Young – The Red Sleeves She was famous as a child actress, similar to Park Eun Bin, but Lee Se Young is more well-known because she appeared in many more famous dramas such as “Dae Jang Geum” when she was a child and “A Korean Odyssey” when she was an adult. In the new drama “The Red Sleeve“, Lee Se Young plays a palace maid who wishes to have a free life of her own, instead of confining herself to the palace for the rest of her life. The Red Sleeves is a drama with a high rating in the Friday – Saturday time frame and Lee Se Young‘s acting ability is one of the drama’s most attractive points. Lee Se Young portrays the image of a young palace maid with modern thinking at the time. Her interaction with the male lead Lee Jun Ho also surprised the public. Although her audience response is not as great as Lee Jun Ho‘s, Lee Se Young still has a large number of fans. Entering the second year of the new decade, Korean dramas are now a fairer game for everyone. Reputation is no longer an important factor to attract the attention of the audience, but only a good script and acting skills can conquer a large number of viewers. They are Jirisan‘s Lee Ga Sub, The Red Sleeve‘s Kang Hoon, Now, We Are Breaking Up‘s Yoon Na Moo, and Happiness‘s Baek Hyun Jin. They all clash with the main characters and exude presence as “anger-inducing” characters that add tension to the story. First, Lee Ga Sub from Jirisan is a man Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon suspect as a serial killer. He was first seen as Jun Ji Hyun’s assistant but became the central key in the drama’s twist with his ambiguous attitude. On the other hand, Kang Hoon plays Hong Deok Ro, Junho’s aide, who comes into conflict with Lee Se Young, in The Red Sleeve. He has established his position as a villain from early on by revealing his ambition to extend his influence by using Junho. Appearing on two dramas with 7% and 9% ratings, they have successfully left a deep impression on the viewers. Lee and Kang have honed their prowess, playing small roles in multiple projects for about ten years. - omitted unrelated parts - Source (1) Link: zapzee.net me too.... hahahaha wonder if they will drop hints on the show.. i wish they will hahaha or share pics from the set...

Initially, his character is a cold, aloof, and arrogant crown prince who gears to become the King, but things seem to change when he meets court lady Sung Deok Im. He disguised himself as the crown prince's teacher to Sung Deok Im to spend more time with her. Yi San enjoyed every moment he shared with Deok Im inside the library, until the crown prince realized that he was already falling for her. Later on, she found out that Yi San is the crown prince.
