  1. “The Red Sleeve” Shares Sneak Peek Of Lee Se Young About To Receive A Grave Punishment Dec 4, 2021 |by L. Kim Will 2PM’s Lee Junho come to Lee Se Young’s rescue in MBC’s “The Red Sleeve”? “The Red Sleeve” is a historical drama about the imperial romance between crown prince Yi San (played by Lee Junho), who later becomes emperor, and the strong-willed court lady Seong Deok Im (played by Lee Se Young). SPOILER LINK: https://www.soompi.com/article/1502087wpp/the-red-sleeve-shares-sneak-peek-of-lee-se-young-about-to-receive-a-grave-punishment Episode 7 Making/Behind story English Sub
  2. Here is junho making a comment about the neck grabbing library scene: @mademoiselle I love the different hanboks he has been donning in this drama. he looks so good in them. Maybe when the drama ends, he and Seyoung can do a photoshoot of modernized hanbooks. I think they would looks so regal in them.... the case of the disappearing tangerine/mandarin.. and in which case he admitted to have eaten everything, along with the peel/cover/rind.... hahaha this boy is such a fool in love
  3. Day 4 | Actor / actress you glad to see in 2021: Jung Woo in Mad For Each Other. There were a few candidates to really think about like Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu JunYeol in Lost, Ayase Haruka in Tengoku to Jigoku and Lee Junho for The Red Sleeve Cuff. Bu compared to Ayase Haruka who I have not seen in 3 years, or both Jeon Doyeon and Ryu Jeonyeol who I saw last 5 years ago, and Junho who I expected not to see for 2 years due to his compulsory conscription. Jung Woo, I have not see for 8 years since Reply 1994. I was so glad he is back for Mad For Each Other, and it was quirky and fun. and another drama coming soon
  4. @abs-oluteM @ktcjdrama the initial episodes was really something I did not expect, I really started this thinking we are gonna have either he melodrama saguek or the old style saguek. But episode 2 really blew me away with the comedic scenes especially the one where DI was falling and San just literally shove her back to a stack of books. that was epic and iconic... The splashes of angst and melodrama have been littered from episode 1-7 but too few to really take root.. But I think as we hit the half way mark, they will probably switch it up or some kind, to increase the ante and tensions. I think the angst and melo will probably be more prominent now. and if they do this, I just hope that they would still give us some scenes of laughter and liveliness... and also some hot and palpable moments between the leads... Young man in his early 20s.. hahaha and with raging hormones... but isn't she also the one with the raging hormones. Like she literally had to fan herself as she thought of his abs and chest. I can't blame her,, cause he did looks too hot to handle. But just saying our heroine is not as innocent as the usual candy girl. and I like that of her. then there were drip, drip, breath breath... that scene was so good... hahaha “The Red Sleeve” Ratings Break Into Double Digits As “Happiness” Hits New All-Time High Both MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” and tvN’s “Happiness” soared to new heights last night! 5. @suhodorable @abs-oluteM That theme song is so funny. hahaha but it really sis perfect for San right now.... Behind the Scene Still by San's Eunuch aka Yoon Hyosik Pond Incident Also Junho's noona, posted in IG and mentioned Woojin watching his samcheon. and then I laugh, thinking WooJin watching the bathtub scene...? and me thinking that woojin also asking "why is samcheon swimming with a robe on" or "will samcheon's shoulder be okay, that noona is leaning too close to his shoulder, it might hurt". or did Junho give noona a heads up about that scene...
  6. New Stills for Episode 8 also just want to say: Poor tangerine-heart, rejected that way... can I have it? LoL that is some ballsy move for her naming the King as her witness. I mean that is so not done in that era, especially by a court lady, So it is jarring to watch cause I don't think anyone would ever do that. but one thing I know is that for DeokIm, being alive trumps everything else, so I think for her, she already at a disadvantage, she will already be sentenced to die, then why not say something or whatever to try to clear her name or get the lesser of the punishment...
  7. Preview Episode 8 Longer Version English Subtitle and someone noticed that the lines Junho was Practicing during his I Live Alone guesting is probably for Episode 8 "If you cut off her tendons and kick her out of the palace she is as good as dead. You have always taught me a lot of things, Your Majesty" The king of joseon gets absolute power over everyone in the kingdom, if he does not treat each subject with respect, he does not have the right to become their king.
  8. That is true, by all things, she is really his. he is her owner in that era But his inner monologue to answer what King Yeongjo advised him about having someone by his side.. He wants something different than what Yeongjo did to San's grandmother but he will find out it is easily said than done. His words will comeback to haunt him cause Di has her own mind plus episode 8 shows DI in a tight spot. So will he be able to protect her, and is he willing to protect her at all cost even when she rejected him...? and yes, he will finally know their child hood connection. If so. i really like this reveal of their childhood rendezvous... the first part, with the continuation of the bath falling/jumping scene made me laugh and giggle so much... them getting confused where to go was so funny... But also the aftermath, with what they remember: For DeokIm, it was San's Chest/Abs.... then his face for San, he kept remembering DeokIm's lips,, neck, lips and then eyes.. ...also the poem that San was reading, here is the explanation... ...river, the poet couldn’t see the details but is deeply driven to it. It signifies the distance between the poet and the person he is yearning for. It’s so far yet so far Note : when studying classics we should always look beyond the literal meaning, as if San and the noblemen are studying. They won’t choose a love poem for San right when it’s suppose to prepare him to be king Therefore there is an aesthetic interpretation of this text: a commitment towards the goal, one shall look around all aspects, from vertical to horizontal. Yet perfection is unreachable, therefore the commitment is eternaLike
  9. the rejection really hit him hard I think. their conversation with tangerine as metaphor was really interesting too They were in his favorite place doing his favorite thing giving his favorite person his favorite Fruit/food But she rejects his tangerine...aka feelings... That got to hurt...! And such a shock to him since technically she should not be allowed to reject him... right? and there he was, just a few days before so happy when he heard that she liked him
  10. yes yes yes the last scene.. it's so good...!!! @Mizv yes... this scene San was stalking DeokIm who is backing out then she caressed her face Then grabbed her at her throat/neck A 50 shades of grey musisc score can probably be edited for this sequence credit https://yeowoobyul2.tistory.com/108 PS: though It is interesting that they had this moment here. I wish they continued to have this as their safe place....the library isnt their happy place anymore...
  11. Yes,,,,!!! saw that the ratings is out too... Yay..!! so will get them to be guest again on Kim Shinyoung's radio show and then as Special DJ's too...!!! Cast IG post of behind the scenes:
  12. this is just my theory but... I think Head Court Lady think she can control DI. She admitted to DI about assigning DI to the library so that she can have close contact with San, as well as orchestrating her proficiency on books by assigning the transcription of books to Di This was Di will be well read enough to be at a level above normal court lady and be able to converse to San. She probably thought that putting DI in a position to be adored by the crown prince, DI will be drawn to be in that position. and then that by explaining first the scenario of how she planned it, DI will be indebted to her thus, she might think that she can ask favors of DI. and if DI do become concubine, she will have something to hold DI accountable, that if ever DI doesn't do her bidding, head court lady can expose DI that their connections in the library were planned, and that could lead to San losing his favor to DI. And a concubine who lost favor from the king is a very bad place to be. So that is a way to blackmail DI So for Head court Lady, she wants someone in San's harem, someone close enough as a confidant that can be used to know San's head space so that they can plan against. Another preview of Episode 7
  13. thats the way I feel, with some of Junho's concept and performances in his SOLO... with his chain, blindfold and etc..hahaha This drama is definitely in that territory... especially the last scene: We've had countless ML, doing some wrist grabs... and San has done it a few times here... but man that neck grab was.. Wowza His hands just grab her whole neck...!! The feminist in me, should be offended/disgusted, but man, that tension between them is just hot and palpable... I am not sure about this, But I think it is a branding families of traitor families that become slaves as punishment...? or I could just be imagining seeing something of that mark from another saguek. hahaha There is probably some explanation of it from other recappers.. we'll just wait and see what this really mean...
  14. oh my episode 7, that was one heck of a ride. there is a lot to unpack there... I'll just add the additional episode 7 clips Episode 7 Clips Intense Ending

  16. Some additional articles: I am so happy about this article... this one is spot on regarding spoiler, History really is the greatest spoiler... though really I never expected so much fun in the drama so far. I really thought we were in for a melodrama at the start also the clip of Junho abs are being shared not only in Junho's IG but also in 2pm's IG and in MBC's IG... because they know people are still not through appreciating that scene and his abs/chest @suhodorable do you think today is the day we will have the proposal? and then the rejection? I feel like today, I need to ready my heart and mind and soul... and where we left off last week also my eyes, my ears (cause of their breathing) and my sanity......
  17. Junho IG Update ...because apparently we are not spoiled enough. "I thank you your highness, for showering us with your presence... and thank you for your hard work. Please, go get some fried chicken now" @suhodorable posting here, about MBC making it official: Sandeok it is!!!
  18. 2PM’s Lee Junho Worries About Lee Se Young While On A Secret Date In “The Red Sleeve” Dec 3, 2021 | by E. Cha MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” has shared a sneak peek of 2PM’s Lee Junho and Lee Se Young on a secret date! “The Red Sleeve” is a historical drama about the imperial romance between crown prince Yi San (played by Lee Junho), who later becomes emperor, and the strong-willed court lady Seong Deok Im (played by Lee Se Young). SPOILER LINK: https://www.soompi.com/article/1501889wpp/2pms-lee-junho-worries-about-lee-se-young-while-on-a-secret-date-in-the-red-sleeve Stills of the most handsome man in Hanseong:
  19. Additional Stills for Episode 7 I wonder when above scene comes, Before or after the garden date below? also saw review below on what could be going on with DI rejection to San https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxmYkJEj3Vo&t=10s He was. the way he was eavesdropping on that, feels like he is such a town-gossip than Crown prince. But I love that his trusted yet sometimes slow aide was with him, at least he can be sure to confirm that what he heard really did happen and not just a figment of his imagination
  20. @Hyacinth0910 also.... remember the catchphrase/quote for this drama in their posters and teasers are: "a mournful imperial court romance, between the king and the court lady" like not sad, but mournful Actually I have been quite surprised at all the comedy that the drama has given us so far. I feel like we are Hansel and Gretel, and MBC is the witch who lured everyone to candy and all things nice of TRS...MBC feeds us so much candy, only to be slaughtered at the end... but for me, I am prepared like what @abs-oluteMmentioned. We need to be like Hansel and Gretel, we get out alive and somehow intact after all this... Well the one good thing about this drama and difference from Jang Ok Jung, is that Consort IU aka DeokIm was very much loved by King Jeongjo all his life and until his death. I feel like if he was able (law permits), I do think he would have build a tower of love like Taj Mahal, just for DeokIm. PS: As the story continues, I do hope that there would be No wacky mid-way writing weirdness debackle. Please drama, please. I am Putting all my faith in PD Jung...!!!)
  21. Lee Jun-Ho is the Historical Bath God Actor Lee Jun-Ho heated up the small screen with an unconventional abs-exposed bath scene in MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” In the sixth episode of “The Red Sleeve”, Yi San (Lee Jun-Ho) was preparing for a rose-petals-filled bath. Lee Jun-Ho is known to have been on a diet for a long time for the three-minute bath scene. “I’ve been on a diet for a long time because I have to film a bath scene in the drama. It was so hard,” he shared on an entertainment show. After the sixth episode was aired, behind-the-scenes footage of the bath scene was released. In the behind-the-scenes video, Lee Jun-Ho was doing dumbbell exercises just before filming the scene and doing push-ups. Due to the scene, Lee Jun-Ho gained a new nickname of the ‘Historical Bath God’ and became the ‘best minute’ in the sixth episode. The clip from the episode gained 200,00 views in just one day with more than 1,000 comments. Among the comments left were, “Here’s the washboard Deok-Im was looking for”, “I knew the bath scene would be a hit”, “the hottest bath scene in the history of Korean historical dramas.” MBC’s “The Red Sleeve” breaks their own highest ratings in each episode and tops the Friday-Saturday drama LINK: https://hallyula.com/2021/11/lee-jun-ho-is-the-historical-bath-god Another gifs of our Historical bath God is in order:
