  1. I was happy to see this clip of the light body skill race between BFX and YWY. It is one of my favorite scenes so far.
  2. @abs-oluteM I agree...this was the best episode so far for me too. I could really feel the teenagers' emotional turmoil through the screen. The end scene made me cry. I wonder what will happen in the next episode. Yeong Ju will have stomach pains on the bus. Will their fathers end up finding out? Hyeon's father seems brash, but maybe he would show a different side under these circumstances? Yeong Ju's father at least seems caring. I still hope Eun Hee will somehow able to help them. I can tell she genuinely cares about Yeong Ju. By the way, that male doctor should have better bedside manners. I hated that he made the assumption that they did not use protection. It's not 100%, but they did use it. The odds were just against them.
  3. Here is a BTS which is supposed to be a sneak preview of their proposal scene later in the story. It looks like it will take place at his mother's praying hall. They look so sweet together! Before that, HFX will share his feelings for BFX with his mother. Love that he will take BFX to meet her later.
  4. The still on the right is the shot from the intro of episode 1 where I thought HFX and BFX look like yin and yang together. Here is the official OST MV. Love love the fight/battle scenes! I was telling my mom that I haven't enjoyed a wuxia drama so much in ages. This one...the romance gives me total heart-eyes, but the jiang hu, politics and succession battle also makes the story equally captivating. It is interesting seeing how the different characters prioritizes power, family and love and how they affect their choices. ====== @movingwheel Great news that the drama will air on Netflix. I assume it will follow the VIP episode format? I am currently watching it on Tencent, but Netflix too would be a plus.
  5. @bai I agree with @Chocolate. The show is decent for sci-fi. The hardest part for me was the 1 episode per week format which broke the momentum, but the plot was interesting enough for me to continue. (Plus, I can't resist SKJ!) Now that all 10 episodes are out, the flow of the story might be better for you. ====== So, I watched episode 10. Having been spoiled of it already and watching under the assumption that there will a season 2, I thought it was good. I really liked how episode 10 showed Ghost grew to care about Sae Ha and Sae Byeok over time. Through multiple repeats, they were no longer people of the past to her. So yes, I agree with your interpretation that Ghost would definitely find a way to save Sae Ha and others from the loop. Given how shrewd Sae Ha is, the ability to break it most likely had to do with his input this time. Knowing Lee Soo Yeon from Stranger, I can't imagine she would end the story without answers and more questions. I am certain there will be a season 2 to explain the missing gaps. I am guessing Ghost originally time-traveled back solely for the grid and to ensure the birth of herself/others. At first, it didn't matter to her who died or were sacrificed along the way. However, she grew to care and to try to save them through multiple repeats, I think went off her assigned mission. This may be why her boss/Yoo Jae Myung sent Lee Ki Hong to the past to handle things. Yes, sadly SKJ is in the military at the moment. Fans are actually counting down the number of days to his discharge. If season 2 hasn't been filmed already, I really don't think Lee Soo Yeon would switch him out and would wait until the whole cast can take part in it. Let's hope there will be confirmation of follow-up episodes soon. Based on Sae Byeok's monologue at the end, it seemed to imply that she purposely had her baby to continue the lineage for Ghost. She was never able to confirm her DNA linkage to Ghost, but for the sake of the future generations, she was going to take that chance and try to do her part.
  6. Still haven't seen ep 10, but this is hilarious!
  7. Ai yah... I have not seen the finale yet, but peeping to set my expectations. So, no answers and a cliffhanger ending. LOL. Will be back after I watch.
  8. Their hero names are clever. They are similar as "Feng Xi", but also seemingly different as one is black "Hei" and the other is white "Bai". I think the intro suggests that they are like yin and yang. Supposed to be opposites, but they are actually complimentary forces to each other and important in maintaining harmony. This may be why their pairing in the story will play a key role in restoring peace within the states. It's not clear to me yet if he knows, but it would explain why he would go to such great lengths to help and save her (multiple times). Plus, he has been keeping tabs on her.
  9. Ladies, we're down to the final episode! Will we get all of our questions answered? I just want a proper explanation of Ghost's connection to the leads and why she has been intervening with the past/present (other than for the grid). After 10 weeks of patience, I will be really upset if we're given a pointless ending like Sisyphus. LOL. Here are some stills of the mystery man in the hoodie. Does he look like he could another time-traveler from the future - like Ghost? (Apparently, he is a well-known Korean-American actor...which I feel terrible that I do know him.)
  10. @Chocolate I don't like Yeong Ok's actions so far, but I need to see more to determine whether I like her nor not. When she apologized to her hanyeo teammates and said she won't do it again, does she really mean it? She knows Jeong Jun is a good guy. If she does start dating him, will she change her flirty ways and not hurt him? Out of all the pairings shown so far, I see and feel the chemistry between these two. I am hoping they can work everything out in the end. The title of the drama worries me though. LOL. Eun Hee is my favorite person in the story. She deserves happiness. It would be nice if the writer will have her find it. It looks like she will run into the teenage girl during school hours in the next episode. Eun Hee seems strict on her which to me is a sign that she cares for her. I am hoping Eun Hee could be a supportive figure in helping her cope with her pregnancy situation.
  11. @movingwheel I am watching and in love with the story so far, especially the leads. It's been awhile since I have been so smitten by a pairing in a costume drama. They bicker on the outside, but they have genuine regard and respect for each other's abilities. I love how they know each other so well. Well, so far...it seems BFX completely sees through HFX more. The part where she knew he wanted to buy her a new dress/hairpin and using his "cousin" as an excuse was funny yet sweet. I agree with you. I did not read the novel, but so far, I like how FLX's character has many layers. He has a tough exterior as HFX, but as his true self, FLX, he has many pain and sufferings from his family's dynamics. He is like two different persons at home and in the outside world. BFX is beginning to see this vulnerable side of him and he seems to let her. Same! The little boy is cute. It would be nice to see him grow up under the care of BFX. I loved the part where she taught him not to kill people, even for revenge. It becomes an endless cycle of paying blood with blood.
  12. I thought the water breaking scene suggested her depression may be related to a miscarriage too. Or, maybe her baby did not survive from premature labor. Same as you, I felt sad for her too. She could not even tell time apart so her condition seems quite severe. Hopefully, we will see her get better.
  13. I felt exactly the same watching everything pan out. I would like to believe the discomfort means Han Su was wrestling with his conscious and in the end, he would not have followed through with this plans. (He could not look at Eun Hee the whole time she described what they would likely do next at the hotel.) Nonetheless, it was Eun Hee who confronted him versus Han Su outright confessing everything. I guess the most important outcome out of all this is she did not get more hurt than she already did. After how he treated her, I am glad her memories/image of him are ruined and she said "goodbye". It was a good reality check for her. Another thing is... It was not Ha Su who told his family to forgo the golf dream and come home. His wife and daughter decided it was best for them all. Honestly, they saved him from his rut. While on the call, Yeong Ok also said "It is not one-sided." I don't know...she seemed to have said it to appease that person. I got the feeling he is an abusive ex/"lover" of some sort.
  14. I really liked the first 10 minutes. When Sae Ha's mom saw Sae Byeok visiting him at their house, she was so delighted! Mom seems fond of her already. LOL. Was it just me or does it seem like there are hints of romantic feelings between the two? It was sweet of her to ask him about seeing his father again and what it felt like. I could feel his emotions when he asked if she remembered the first time all her family gathered. At least he has memories with his father now. The two seem to really understand each other. What a reveal!! It seems like Kim Ma Nok may be Ghost's great grandfather from her paternal side. As for Sae Byeok, let's say Sae Ha does not die (as he thinks he will) and they do like each other, they could possibly be great grand parents from her maternal side. Maybe this is why Ghost appears in front of them. It looks like Sae Ha is not able to time travel anymore. He gave back the device to Ghost. This timeline seems to be the final one.
  15. @Tofu I realized that Liu Rui Lin (aka Qin Xuan!) is in this drama. I hope his character here will be much more bearable than in Autumn Ballad. LOL. LOVE the new teaser! This couple is full of sweetness. The last 20 seconds of the clip so is so beautiful.
  16. It is nice to see KWB on screen again and looking healthy! His character seems sweet. He made sure his friends got home safely after a night of drinking. I have the same question re: Yeong Ok as well. She seems to like him too, but does not want him to like her. Very strange. I am curious to know what her issues may be. Does Yeong Ok seem to own or run a bar of some sort? Maybe her flirty-ness is her way of interacting with the patrons?
  17. Yes! I can see it now. Looks like a lot of laughter behind the set. SKJ laughing at little Siwoo at the end is cute!
  18. @mademoiselle I couldn't view the BTS video posted above, but I assume these are some of the cuts from it. Looks like SKJ and little Siwoo are practicing their scene together. So cute! Compared to the drama, Lee Si Young dragging SKJ behind the scene is so funny. The other kids are also cute!
  19. Glad you are still here and caught up! I think we lost @SilverMoonTea though. LOL. I think @mademoiselle's theory that Kim Ma Nok could be Ghost's father is plausible. Whatever her reason is, I also hope the big reveal is a good one. The scene of Sae Ha saying farewell to his parents in ep 7 was so heartbreaking. It made me tear up. It was also sad when he held his father's body. I can't imagine ever needing to make this kind sacrifice. I believe the little metal ball acted like a microchip of some sort. It must be implanted in the forearm of the person traveling in order for the hand device to teleport him/her. (I have been meaning to tell you. I started watching Live Up To Your Name. Kim Ah Joong looks so different there!)
  20. I know...it's embarrassing that people are starting to find out his financial situation. Maybe it's a good thing actually so those who are his real friends will either help or knock some sense into him. (Karaoke scene was funny - lightened the mood of this episode a little bit. LOL.) I totally get Han Su's mindset of not wanting to ruin good memories for Eun Hee, but the deception so far is not worth ruining their friendship. She has feelings for him, but I really do think she would have helped him just as a friend. I do hope the writer is just trying to show us his momentary lapse of judgment and he will end up of telling her the truth. He does seem to genuinely care about her. The tone of episode 2 took a quick turn from episode 1. Title "Our Blues" kind of makes sense now. LOL. My understanding is that Han Su lied about the separation/divorce. This is a very good point. Yes! I couldn't believe after all that, she suddenly shut down and went to sit in the back. LOL. I thought it was just me. I mean, it was an awkward kiss (supposed to I think), but I felt awkward seeing this two together in general. I am hoping it won't be this way in their next scenes. Looks like they are having a good time filming!
  21. Has anyone seen episode 2 yet? I am curious what you all think about Han Su's actions so far. I hope he doesn't go through with his plans in the next episode. I would hate for him to dig himself a bigger hole. It's too bad Eun Hee didn't hear him in the ocean when he asked to her lend him money. She knows he is married and genuinely treats him like a good old friend. If he was open and honest with her, I am positive she would have lent him the money. I still don't get why he is going this far for his daughter's golf career though. She seemed to be fine with giving it up. No one is happy at this rate. Lee Byung Hun/Dong Seok is interesting and has his problems too. I wonder why he and his mother cut off ties. I can't believe they did not acknowledge each other at all at the market. Then, there's him and Shin Min Ah/Seon Ah. What is going on between them? I am not good at bargaining neither, but my mom is. She will do it at Chinatown and honestly, it's kind of embarrassing at times. She can be like the lady customer at Eun Hee's fish stall. LOL. Singapore is on my bucket list so one day! Wet markets would be new for me, but I've seen YouTube videos of hawker stands so should be fine. Good idea to takeaway and eat comfortably at home.
  22. I finished the first episode and love it! Han Su seems like he is shouldering a lot for his daughter’s golf career. Hope everything that he and wife has sacrificed pays off in the end. He was indifferent in seeing his hometown friends again, but the chance of seeing their antics from afar made him laugh and put a smile of his face. Based on the preview, it looks like being back “home” and with his friends again will make him lively again. OMG…Eun Hee is spunky and hilarious. I love her! Her and Han Ji Min together are going to be a hoot. She was so happy to see Han Su in traffic. Apparently, it has been 20 years. It cracked me up how she calls and refers to him as “first love” until this day. LOL. I also like the way she stood up for herself to the man who crashed into her truck. Strong woman indeed. Absolutely loved their backstory as teenagers. I couldn't stop laughing most of the time! Yes, I really respect him for not blowing her off. It was hilarious when she fainted to the ground after it. That thud sound. LOL. I feel the exactly same. Since Han Su has a family, their story will be an interesting one. He did ask his colleague about her husband which she does not have one yet so it tells me that he still cares about her. I would love to see them somehow be a couple too, but if it turns out to be a strong friendship at their stage in life, I am good with that too. Han Su's wife seems to think their sacrifices are extreme as well which causes them to have tense conversations. To be honest, being apart in different countries for so many years must be tough on a marriage, especially if you don't necessarily agree on decisions and have financial concerns. Oh, so that's a pretty normal business exchange! There are no wet markets around where I am (which is in the U.S.). Everything is behind a glass case and prices are fixed so there's no prodding or haggling. Take it or leave it. LOL. (I would love to visit Singapore one day and experience grocery shopping at the stalls. I hear the food is amazing.) Surprisingly, I actually recognized Shim Dal Gi. She also had a small part in season 1 of Hospital Playlist. She played a teen mom of Jun Wan's baby patient. She's so good at portraying young Eun Hee here!
  23. @abs-oluteM I was only able to catch the first 10 minutes of it and already really like it. I think mostly because of Han Ji Min. She seems bright and fun. I didn't like the way the other female divers were talking about her though, but it was cute and funny how she kept teasing and winking at Kim Woo Bin. LOL. Does he seem a bit tsundere on the outside, but likely warm-hearted on the inside? Despite how he reacted to her, it seems pretty clear that he likes her. Eun Hee seems all business. She wouldn't let the customer dime and nickel her in selling her the fish. I can see why she is successful. I have not gotten to the introduction of Cha Seung Won's character, but I am curious about their storyline. Totally agree - the small town/village vibe is refreshing so far. I can't wait to meet the rest of the characters.
  24. Thanks for pointing this out. I must have not paid close enough attention to their voices in the trailer because I did not notice that they are not them. I heard it was a high budget production so hopefully, the dubbing syncs well with the both of them. I have not read the novel, but this is interesting from the author. Even though she did not participate in the production, she seems really supportive of it. For those who did read it, if you have the time to share, I would be curious to know the differences along the way. ======== Not sure if this is part of the script, but I thought this shot of Lusi feeding Yang Yang a bao is cute and funny. Credit: Instagram - yangyangxlusi I am ready for these two! Credit: Instagram - yangyangxlusi
  25. Long trailer with subbed conversations. The drama is beginning to feel real. Yang Yang looks really good in costume.
