Lets see if the drama has budget for another kid hahaha.. I think chenwan is ambitious but not clever. They r very corrupted n so far their motivstion is money..n of course they will not hesitate to stage coup if things turn out in a different way. N they hv money to do so. I believe previously the throne was within his reach as huaiwan is young n doesnt show high capability. Xj was the un favoured son who is far away at the border. All that has changed since his return. But the mood n theme of throne contention is not really strongly explored here, more theme if corruption n giid governance by current emperor. If it is, i m very worry XJ will be chosen because there is no one more capable in the show. But to more show will avoid the throne contention issue. If not XJ, XP is a good choice actually if he has a good relationship with his brother family like at the start. N if u all remember fr n him discussed before why he is jushui. He wants to help the people. Too bad he turned really dark. Do u guys find it funny why emperor is so concerned about XJ choosing consort. His brother the royal uncle is not married. I would be concerned w this one first. N from the look of it, chenwan is not married either, huaiwan maybe still young. I always wonder why he never bother with them haha.... Loose plot maybe. Regarding the predictions, yes.. Xj may hv predicted he die young, but the drama has bewn promoting FR sharing her luck w him n FR keep encouraging him about he will live long n n rich n prosperous even though she is yakking most of the time. Meeting FR is a pivotal point. Both will worked tgether to change their lives because their will to be with each other becoming much more stronger as their relationship progresses. I believe the next few episodes will show them getting more in love. Then the first few bombs will be one of them in dangers n they overcome it together thus making them stronger before the ahnwan finale. I mean counting from ep29 to 40, with coffin trapped, they fall off cliff, n he got attacked n dropped into waterfall plus final face off w ahnwan. Plus a divorce, fu household funeral n imprisonment of FR. Looks like a lot of material for 12 episodes. So i believe it will be a fast ride for us without the draggy angst of them misunderstanding each other that last 10 episodes will not happen here. My guess is 2 to 3 episodes.

I think ah yuan has no bad intention towards FR safety n life. I don think she wants her hurt physically but if ahnwan want her to do anything she is blinded when it comes to him. I m Just glad so far all ahnwan plans just pushed them closer together. I personally think it will be a happy ending because of the tone of the show.. There is a light fluffy feeling to it. The aides like mr ge n even the chenwan aide can be funny n in fact with some comedy attached. Both XJ n FR characters do not hv past, emotional baggage or any life death health prob. All the villians are not that smart (chewan, xindu marquis will die next ep, FR ex fiance, ahnwan). So i think the lighter setting itself will drive towards a simple happy ending. Because they r just a Normal couple who met, fell in love m marry. Just that he is a outstanding Prince who is a strong contender to the throne. Hence more trouble awaits them. But it develops their relationship n love fir one another.

Trying to start a new trend on single hand carry. I think audiences are immune to princess carry now since most actors did really well n looks good when doing it. I think zhengyechen did the max number of princess carry n totally nail the look in sleepless princess. Here i think they are looking to set a new style. Lets see if it will got hot after this show.

N this plan was told to the emperor before. I believe the zhengfei saga is truly over. Except we know screechy hasn't given up n no one can guess why was screechy wearing wedding gown on the cliff. N it makes no semse why FR was w her. Xj definitely was definitely not wearing wedding gear jumping off that cliff. Also i believe the plothole here is with so many attempts on XJ life even during his wedding, XJ security to FR esp i goes to work at ruyi pavillion is too slack. The gal need a super obvious troop of bodyguard with her just being XJ wife just to put ppl off trying. I lost count on assassination attempts. Even the stone dropped bombing was also an attempt.. Plot holes.

@40somethingahjummayes i thought of that too. He loves her just the way she is even it means many too colourful moments in it. It spells a love deeper than the usual rom com kinda love. Throughout the show it seems he is a good judge of characters. Except he invited ah yuan to stay. He also sense ahnwan also.. Although he seem like jealousy now but his reaction to ahnwan is rather deep. Maybe his soldier instinct kicking in. It started after ahnwang took over golden wing troop. Now that i look back lfy was mentoring tang li as well, lyf had a col relationship with his mum too n he was send away too as a child due to his birth luck. Here no identity swap. N the lines haha.. Everything in the manor belongs to me haha including u. He says that too in yunxi haha when she try to snatch her notes back. But i m just so happy ruyi is so much lighter n colourful than loyx, esp lovely to see a doting, attentive, expressive n patient XJ. Anyone realise when he is angry he called her Furong n when they are sweet onto each other, he will called her Rong er. Hehe.... She should easily tell when she is in trouble haha N these two guys XJ n WbQ. XJ : cannot eat snacks from another man. WBQ: U can only look at me riding in. No one else. (the two maids are really enjoying both men forthrightness haha) XJ : Give the snacks to ur horse. (i love wbq ahhhh expression) wbq: seeing u cry i don feel pain anymore except one spot.... My heart pain... (i love the two aides expressions from behind ) Of course hoping for happily ever after n maybe a kid or two otw. Cause i love their interactions w guan ge in the drama and during shooting. Hope they retired to the border. N not become emperor/empress. Out of curiosity because the novel name is chun hou zi lu.. Journey of the favored empress... In the book, did they retired to border or make emperor n empress? Out of the princes, it does look like XJ is the excellent one.

I belive the theme of this drama is my life is determined by me not by tian (heavens). Wo min you wo bu you tian. I personally believe certain events are predestined - ur birth, ur parents n siblings, ur other half and children n death (heay who doesn't die right). But the journey can be completed differently depending on the choices we made n the series of route we take. Its the series of actions that determine the ending, not set up an ending n expect we get there in that one fixed way only. Then life will be too robot like. We will be zombies. Yeap yeap relationships take time. Time to build up. Time to understand each other. Glad the script give them that logic while giving us lots of sweet moment to savour n rewatch. I think ruyi has thought about suicide. She us preparing thebketger ahead. In a way, She really has no way out d. When she quarrel w FR, she already said in her heart that she has lost control of her situation. But that letter is placed at very illogical location. They took all the secrets in the cabinet so why left the books on the table. A setup to make it believable by ah yuan n ahnwan? Tell me about it. His action on the wedding assassination is the classic line of lost the furen and lost ur soldiers well...Pei le furen you che pin. He successfully gave away the gal he loved n make her his niece in law. Not exactly a worthy opponent. His schemes are not tight. He did not factored in human behaviour n their feelings. If he had not caused ruyi death, fr will not be accused n thus set up the grand stage of XJ jailbreaking n gave XJ Fr the life n death togetherness bond. Oh well. I m ok w that. Love the way he holds his mum hands. Finally ice is melted.

Any of u ladies feel there are many reversal on Loyx here? Same scenes but different ending. Like FR taking a knife to herself to save XJ. But end up a hoax. Xj n LFy was drugged by the wives before they attempt to sacrificed themselves. N the part XJ goes have u ever thought of how I would feel if i woke up n u are gone. When he says that to FR i feel teary n catching a lump in my throat. It was the question always on my mind when i watched LFY woke up n found yunxi gone with no closure cause they dont even let him see her body. It is the kind of feeling of pain, regret, heartbreak n breakdown of mind n body (cause you wish u can stay awake n stop it) that no one should go through. It is almost like lyf being given a chance here to say it yo yunxi. Xj expressing lfy pain. I m not sure if u ladies catch my drift.

N it is interesting how royal tradition is uphold here in the event. We see FX standing next to FR seated. FR is in the royal family now, even her elder sister, her parents are supposed to bow to them i suppose. It was shown in LoYx too. I was wondering if FR n XJ will hv issue attending her dad funeral later. I m curious of what tradition dictates. I hv never seen a drama on royal son in law doing a son in law duties at funeral. Maybe they r only allow to visit not stay. Hence the very miserable look on FR in the ending ost. I m also very much hoping that xindu marquis wife will be there at the competition event, n see her bowing to FR. I will be full of glee.... Haha... Hope that wbq will take back xindu marquis position. That will make FX a marquis wife. Xindu hou furen. Love both sisters. N love how their dad only hv one wife with 3 kids. They come from a family of faithful dad. So glad they found man with only one heart for them.

Cannot agree w u more about how progressive XJ is. I mean he is so non traditional in that sense. His jail break already show he doesnt stick by the rules. Royalty n court officials are not same class as merchants no matter how rich they r in those days. N royalty will hardly marry merchant group. N remember original sypnosis is she is goldsmith daughter. Then when the episode is aired she becomes magistrate daughter (i m guessing that is what henjinling position is). So the script is aware of the tradition n make him a very open minded character. N i m surprised the royal family allowed. Because emperor dad thinks she is not even managing his household well what more to say she need to run his household n business together. Guess they r all progressive. Haha. N FR almost suicide helps ease his parents maybe. But i also don see how she can manage. He is a working royal, not a ding dong relaxed wanye n as his only wife, she has plenty of things to attend to. Even that competition event itself sees her sitting there day till night (banquet at night). By the way is that liang pin snack shop an advert? Haha... Could it be a real shop in modern china. Feels like an commercial advert. I actually want to try those huge dates they hv been eating. Looks like its w some nuts stuffing. Same goes with the sanjiu medicine hall. Seems to emphasise these two for no specific reasons. I think they have done it. I mean their interactions after the suicide incident, when showing skinship is just very natural. No shyness n no hint or talk about whether they should be consummating. They are married sleeping together after all. I don know, i could be wrong. Just that there is no need to be specific in this drama maybe. Even though i think i woukd like them to be specific like most dramas. I personally think zzh n jjy kisses sort of lack omph too... Kinda feathery touch lips n look good for audience kisses. Not passionate. Its the acting. The scene she asked him whether he is sleeping in the FU means the su manor, translated as are u sleeping at home. I assume he has been sometimes sleeping in army camps or palace because of his work. N he says ok, but i have a lot doc to go through n will be late (guess the competition event plus the corruption case keeps him busy) so when i come back i will sleep on the couch. She says no need, i will sleep in the inner bed side, so when u come in u won disturb me. He sighed n promised that after the competition for general selection is over he will take her on a vacation (ie spend more time w her). Pinky promise.

At least it nakes then stronger n in a way fulfil that dream prophesy of her trapped in coffin. Maybe scary but at least ww know they r together facing those trials. It makes sense now why she is that wedding dress. Looks like ahnwan is suppressing hia feeling for FR now but then again his aim is always to kill XJ. N no matter how it is acted i cant feel hos love for her.

Maybe he started having his dreams when they slept together. It could also be they had done the husbsnd n wife deed. Because in ruyi they love one another n got marry so it is a natural thing. N here when xj ask her if she is actually plan for little suwan, she just shyly hug him n hold his hands tighter. Very different from yunxi when she is usually not so ready or hv other more pressing matter like his poison or the threat about her mother from empress dowager. In yunxi they married n then fall in love, divorce then remarry. I remembered he started dreaming when he first kiss her. Now they r like husband n wife. So maybe his dreams are more frequent n vivid. If only they would share this dream prob with another. Then fr can tell him, much of her dreams has changed. It will be a huge encouragement to him to hold on tight to her n work it out together.

2 sons vs 1 son haha... I think shufei is slightly higher status. N the emperor seems to give all the toughest job to XJ. Haizzz... Guess he js the best amomg the lot. He was so worry she went out wo protection. N he also knows thst if she were to run ruyi pavilion, she need bodyguards there too. So this chengwan incident is such a bad slip up. Chengwan says loud n clear to her, he wants her dead. FR should not be so careless.

Tq for the detail recaps. I love ep like this especially there is a event onngoing like royal hunt, polo game, shooting competition etc. always very happening n exciting. Dont u ladies love the two aides of XJ. They are so funny n so loyal. U need friends cum pa cum doctor like that all the time.

Ep 26 a good scenario is Could it be she is suppose to marry off to someone else n FR need to do her role as a royal sister in law, since that princess is technically adopted daughter of the emperor. I also get thevfeeking that they may invited to stay in the Palace. It doesn't look like su manor. Really Bad scenario she was trying to scheme her way inti their lives. Cannot be she manage to marry XJ.. Since he would not allow that n he is very careful n smart all the time. N not leave things to chance. Hmmm... The scene of bratty was in wedding cloth with FR. The cliff scene could not hv occurred yet because ah yuan would be kill after that. Hmmm... My head spinning. Ep 27 N I wonder why they at the river... Maybe he promised to take her out n take time off after coruption case ended. Ep 24. I m also worry about looks like he is starting to get dreams. N he seems afraid to be close to her in case he caused her harm. Aikkksss.... They r not revealing anything. But previews look good.Also i m. Confused how come FR did not tell XJ chengwan was chasing her. It is such an important fact. I mean it baffles me. It will hv him better to hv bodyguards with her. I love love love ur analysis. Especially being a mum bit. When our children get hurt esp when its about marriage or their other half, many times as mother we can only stay on the sidelines to cheer them on, cry with them, hug n know that only time will heal their wounds while our heart aches all while. I think XJ mum is doing a good job. N amazingly because of his marriage to FR he is getting less distance with his parents especially his mum. Remember in the beginning he doesn't even know what to say to the mum. His mum really wany to see him, hear him, near him... I can feel as her totally. In this case, being the secondary consort when he says about giving him son prob rings more meaning in ruyi than loyx. Guess if she does bore him children, he has more bargaining power to protect her. Cause next up will be excuse of getting main wife because there is no royal heir yet. Not that the cares but it will ease their journey as husband n wife. I think its a journey for this XJ FR couple n FX WBQ too. Not only about fallinng in love n have a rom com but Learning how to love one another.
