  1. @abs-oluteM LOL, maybe Tofu was right to worry about this drama being written by Poong's writer.
  2. I really want to like this drama, thinking that it'll be fun, but it's... surprisingly, NOT. Someone please tell me why am I not being charmed by Moon Sang Min like he charmed me in Under the Queen's Umbrella? Whyyyy? 😭 That said I'm going to keep watching because now Ji Han has realised his feelings for Ah Jung.
  3. I actually thought he chose not to see them because he was disappointed with them (they knew Kyung Min's situation), and is not yet ready to face them.
  4. @Chocolate What do you mean you have nothing to watch? There's Queen of Tears and Wedding Impossible (did you drop this already?) --- Eun Soo Hyun is still crying/moaning for her dead son in episode 3-4. I suppose she can't be completely over it since the story began/revolved around her son's death, but I'm getting tired of watching her cry. Anyway, aside from the excessive crying, she was actively looking for the boy her deceased inmate asked her to look for. The inmate felt guilty of her crime and she genuinely wanted to apologise and compensate the boy. This inmate committed arson when she found out her husband cheated on her. The fire killed the boy's parents. The boy (Kwon Sun Yool) turned out to be Cha Eun Woo. Sun Yool at first resented Soo Hyun's approach, but felt a bit different after she acted as his guardian bailing him out of jail (from fighting). I was losing my concentration and patience with the drama to be honest, but the Show had to give me the scene of Soo Hyun receiving an anoynomous envelope with her husband kissing a woman, so I kept on. Must say, damn it, I really didn't want Soo Ho to cheat because after 7 years in jail, he was still begging Soo Hyun to come back to him. They had a talk about this, he tells this woman meant nothing and was a once-off. It supposedly happened when she was in jail at the time and refused to see him (because she wanted him to have his own life). So Soo Hyun decided to let this slide as well, because they agreed to start over. Though she says that but she admitted to Yuri (Im Se Mi) that it still bothers her. She is also curious who sent her the photo. I was paying utmost attention at Yuri's reaction when Soo Hyun tells her about this. I couldn't find anything suspicious from her expression. The only odd thing is she, too, asked Soo Hyun to bury this. The sender seems to be stalking her as well as people around her. It can be assumed that this man is the son of the man she killed (the one who murdered her son) because he had a family photo of 3 (The man who killed Soo Hyun's son, a wife and a son). This revenge thing seems to be going in circle. As for Soo Ho, it's 180° change for him this time as he is the successful one and had become the director of the broadcast station. The mystery man also sent the same photo to Soo Hyun's mother, so the mother-daughter did another round of crying. Bugged by this, Soo Hyun wanted to meet with Soo Ho. But Soo Ho lied that he has a meeting and drove out of the station. Soo Hyun followed him to a hotel where the person who opens the door to let Soo Ho in was the lady neighbour who witnessed Soo Hyun and taking video/photo of her son 7 years ago. Episode 4 ended here, so I guess I'll have to give it another week to decide.
  5. 4 Mins+ Preview Trailer I don't think he is a pushover. He did try to speak up and/or gave his opinions, but the family is just way too crazy and scary e.g., like the having baby bit, he spoke up and he didn't get any support from Hae In. After that he did try to talk about it with Hae In, too, but she was cold about it. Everyone seems to decide for him rather than asking for his opinion. That was disheartening. I would like to think he has tried to voice his difficulties with Hae In, but we'll have to wait and see because not everything is revealed yet. This drama writer likes to include easter eggs at the end of each episode. I do think Hae In needs to work on expressing her emotions/thoughts with Hyun Woo. And agreed, they can be a power-couple if they are in sync with one another. I actually felt sorry for the men, but then I wonder if it was because I'm biased towards Kim Soo Hyun. LOL! Maybe if we put a bunch of nobody (non-Oppa), I wouldn't be too sympathetic. And I was honestly quite annoyed with Kwak Dong Yeon's Soo Cheol. I thought he will be a likeable brother, but clearly, he isn't! I think Hae In is the mother's birth daughter. However, I think there's bias towards sons. Not sure the dead child's sex is, but since it begins with "Soo" and the same as Soo Cheol, I'm going to guess it's a son for now. Being a son would probably matter more since the big sister is supposed to look out for the younger one.
  6. I finally caught up with both episodes. Had a good cry along with Jeong Woo when he confided in Omma. 😭 I especially liked the part where Jeong Woo was so calm when Ha Neul was in the operation, comforting the rest of the family. It was impressive and showed he's a reliable person. I don't doubt it comes from years of experience practising in the same hospital and knowing what's best at that point in time... leading to his outburst when he found out the truth. I sure didn't expect this will be Kyung Min's end. Considered this is a Korean drama where audiences craved over-the-top melodrama, I expected a more dramatic ending for him rather than car accident resulted in death. However, I kind of like it because it's made the show more unique, going the unconventional route. Now that I learnt the full story, I'm just as conflicted as Jeong Woo on how I feel about this. It's 100% not Jeong Woo's fault. It's definitely a choice Kyung Min himself made; however, it was somewhat a cause and effect of the situation between Jeong Woo's parents and Kyung Min. I feel for Jeong Woo and the reason he finds it difficult to face his parents. His parents are two disappointing adults who only cared for themselves, but not other people's children. If they had shown a bit of warmth and caring to Kyung Min, all these may not have happened. By the way, how did Kyung Min not know that clinic was Jeong Woo's? Did they lose contact for a while..? I had thought with their future would be to work side-by-side as a partners in Dae Young's clinic. Less stress this way for both of them, too, but guess not. It was sweet of Jeong Woo to put his money to good use and also is able to work together with Ha Neul this way. Maybe the upcoming episodes, Jeong Woo will also leave the clinic and join the hospital dealing with cases such as these... The bad guys are sorted so early, what will be left to see in the last two episodes? I'm obviously expecting Dae Young and Hong Ran to become official. Hopefully there is a scene for Hong Ran to meet Dae Young's daughter. BTS
  7. @UnniSara The OTP do love each other in the beginning, but marriage life isn't fairy tales especially when in-laws are involved. They fell apart within these 3 years. It's very subtle, but at times, you can see Kim Ji Won showed that Hae In is hurt in reaction to Hyun Woo's words—indicating she loves him. Plus, in Hyun Woo's defence, she abused her brother. LOL. I didn't realise how I've missed Kim Soo Hyun. He and Kim Ji Won make a beautiful pair, especially the drama started off them being lovey-dovey kissing during their honeymoon. It gave more impact and contrast to how bad their relationship become in the present. I thought the OTP had a contract marriage, so I was anticipating a fall-in-love story. But this is not too far off as well since they have to find that love they felt for each other again. Episode 1 I felt bad for Baek Hyun Woo. Her family is so suffocating to live with. Her seemingly cold and uncaring demeaner made it even harder for him. However, not everything is what it seems on the surface, which I hope Hyun Woo will later find out Hae In does stand up for him in private settings. The gender reversal of all the son-in-laws is such a great take on how all the daughter-in-laws had to do during memorial service and public holidays. There's a sense of great satisfactory seeing all the men in the kitchen, and likewise makes my blood boils when Soo Cheol, being the son, does absolutely nothing. Agreed Kim Ji Won's fashion is something I look forward to in this drama. And @Tofu, I recognise one out of the lots—Christian Louboutin's heels. Then come episode 2, I'm not sure whether I should feel bad for Hyun Woo anymore. I understand he felt relieved he could get out of hell without suffering the consequences, but I didn't like he lied when he said he loved her. That was totally a manly survival skill kicking in and nothing sincere about it. Now I'm looking forward to watch him suffer a little with the introduction of a love enemy, Yoon Eun Seong. That said, Park Sung Hoon has already managed to piss me off (in a good way, acting wise) when he was baiting Hyun Woo's reaction and their confrontation at the hunting ground. We can feel his disrespect and scorn he directed at Hyun Woo. The smirk was especially despicable. The tension and drama in the family is no joke. I do believe in order for the OTP to be truly happy, they have to move out. That said, even though Hyun Woo seems inferior in the family, but he's a capable man in his own field. The family could rely on him and he seems to have bonded well with Aunt Hong Beom Ja. LOL! Mo Seul Hee is another interesting character to look out for, if the writer could write well throughout the drama. She's definitely scheming to get something from Queen's Group.
  8. I was disappointed with the drama when everything was revealed. I would have preferred it to be something mysterious about the tomb.
  9. Yeah! They should let us know if these were the boys' idea. I kinda don't think the script will be that detailed. On another note, I was concerned with the hair grabbing. Wouldn't want our boys to lose more hairs when not necessary haha
  10. Episode 3-4 I enjoyed episode 4 a lot more than 3. Episode 4 showed both Ji Han and Ah Jung are falling for one another. It showed us they are interacting and learning about each other. I kind of think both of them are quite similar on some level. Ah Jung felt deflated her career isn't going anywhere and Ji Han is more or less the same, being shunned out by LJ Group. Episode 4 also gives us more insight into Ji Han's past. It's still unclear as to why Ji Han is blamed for mum's death, because the car accident was caused by someone chasing her, and the reporter Kang Ik Jun seem to be the culprit who was following her. The death is a bit of a mystery, which I think Haraboji knows, but chose to cover up to protect someone—maybe Ji Han or the identity of their father. It definitely felt good seeing Ji Han revenge on Yuri who bullies Ah Jung. Ah Jung is clearly touched Ji Han watched all of her dramas. Even though he's got an agenda, but he still made the effort, and it's clear he's totally sucked into it. Watching all of her dramas to learn about the male leads is just an excuse. I belated realised little child actor Woo Jin and Moon Sang Min played uncle and nephew in Under The Queen's Umbrella. And then there's Jung Kyung Ho's cameo, as Chae Won's blind date. It's a very short cameo but it marks the second time they acted as each others' blind date. Hahaha. He was "so oily" in this one, physically (his hair) and behaviour. Ew. Do Han's ex-lover made a return at the end of episode 4. He seems to be out to get Do Han. I didn't actually quite understand what happened 5 years ago. But looks like Do Han "ran away" from LJ Group, as well as this lover. Hmm, this means the photos from NY must be the works of the ex-lover!
  11. Dae Young realises he's the one at fault, too, eventually. Some time after their fall out. He just couldn't bring himself to apologise and make up with Jeong Woo all these times until he found out Jeong Woo was going through so much difficulties. The medical malpractice provided the medium for him to reach out. It raised another question too. How is it that he has access to Jeong Woo's clinic?! Did Jeong Woo give him access or he broke in? Yes, this part isn't clear yet, but at the mention of Macau, it definitely confirms he's involved. The deceased was a casino heiress. So not sure how a casino owner link to Haesung Pharmaceuticals. Yes, they did. So I'm really hoping there is no noble idiocy because noble idiocy tends to take over everything (logic and promise out the window) in kdramas!
  12. I watched episode 3 & 4 last night. A very Tae Ho centric two episodes. I don't think I appreciate the story-telling very much at the moment. It is supposed to be interesting but my interest is not piqued. There was another 5 years time jump, so a total of 10 years since their college year. Tae Ho has moved to personally serve In Ha's father for the last 5 years. What didn't make sense for me is, he's able to plot all of the happenings (with a hired hacker) right under In Ha's father's nose when the man had eyes on everyone. It just seems unbelievable. The friendship between the 3 leads were non-existence in these two episodes. Tae Ho keeps his plans and thoughts close to his heart and doesn't share them. Hye Won is a boring FL and expressionless. Both In Ha and her didn't do much here. Hee Joo is annoying. It is ok to be bratty when she's a teenager, but girl is an adult now and being bratty is no longer acceptable. It's been 10 years, get over Tae Ho already. I did not appreciate her going to Tae Ho demanding he marries her. Grow some dignity, girl. 😮‍💨 There was an argument between In Ha and Tae Ho which I thought In Ha made a good point "what does Tae Ho want from all of this?". Because if In Ha is not convinced, how can the viewers be convinced I.e. Tae Ho said he did all this for In Ha. Boo. He's so private that it's hard to know what exactly is in his mind and what his ulterior motive is. With his excellent scheming, he could take KangOh Group if he wants.
  13. @abs-oluteM I am reading through MDL and seems like it was HULU who released episode 3-4 but it's no longer there. But dark site has it. LOLLLL
  14. @JenL Moving – I think for me, the editing of the drama is choppy. Just when I'm happily watching the kids developing their friendships and power, all of a sudden we cut to the past. The flow of the story-telling felt off then on with 2 episodes each dedicated to each adult couple's story. It isn't that I disliked their stories, but each story was so different that they don't flow well from one to the other. Go Youn Jung – Yes, her next drama is with Kim Seon Ho. I actually wanted her to work with RW in a romance drama. 😕 RW's FM – Woah, really? You would go to his FM! Would you go if he has one in Sydney? Or the criteria is must be where you are? Nah, I don't know anyone in real life who likes him. In fact, I don't know anyone in real life who is this into Kdramas or oppa. I wonder why there are so many of us online, but none in real life. LOL! Maybe most of them are like you, don't want to reveal this side of them...? The ones I know, a co-worker, she is into Seventeen and KPOP and not so much in dramas or actors. I still don't see it. Occasionally, I would see on my TL a fan rant about something, but then I don't get the full picture! And then there are the bigger fan club account which doesn't say anything because they want to filter the "bad news" about their biases, and they would also refrain from dissing another because that's the house rule. Hmm, now I wonder whether you guys are seeing these due to algorithms. Oh true, there were a lot of photos between Jae Wook and Youn Jung. Not to mention in BTS, he keeps praising her "Oh, yeuppeu-ra!" and BAM, he goes and date Karina. Ahahahahaha! I swear when the news broke out, I was internally thinking, "What about Youn Jung? You said she's beautiful!" Even though I wasn't shipping, I felt a tiny bit cheated. Hahaha! The "golden age" celebs' fans are next level maybe because of their star status. I do think, though, those that are defending them are not their older fans anymore because those ladies are married and mature with family/kids, hence less time to fight. The new fans they gained is where I notice a lot more rabid. They would behaved like their bias is the best in the world and their female co-star (or vice versa if it's an actress) must be at the same level as him, otherwise, it'd be an insult to his/her status. Tell me if you guys notice this trend...? Jae Wook – Anymore news about his new agency? Yeah, I learned from an old JCW's fan that actor has to shell out money for stylist and hairdresser. This is not paid by the agency. So it would be extra burden if he goes for a one man agency. I also think to have a one man agency means you must have a manager that is really good with his/her social network. Maybe it is just a rumour. I don't know what to think about his dating scandal. It can't be CJes spreading the dating news and then comes out to clarify about his scandal (not Karina but the ex-girlfriend). Although I have heard people talking about agency being manipulative that way. Nah, I wasn't asking if Tofu is in dilemma about Jun vs Jae Wook. I was asking if she's rather he plays villain instead of a lonely character. LOL. He's probably is just like how Jae Wook teases him—likes to do the total opposite of what others do i.e. the norm. Not a bad thing. Just need to be careful not to be typecast. @ssteph Have you watched My Name is Loh Kiwan? I tried to last night but it's too depressing, so I read spoiler and jumped to the end. 😅
