  1. BLACKPINK’s Jisoo And Jung Hae In Open Up About Their Drama “Snowdrop” + Feeling Nervous For The Premiere In a recent interview and pictorial for Harper’s Bazaar magazine, BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Jung Hae In dished on their upcoming drama “Snowdrop”! “Snowdrop,” which will be helmed by the director and writer of the smash hit “SKY Castle,” is a new JTBC romance drama set in 1987. Jung Hae In will star as Su Ho, a student at a prestigious university who suddenly rushes into a women’s university dorm covered in blood one day, while Jisoo will star as Young Ro, a student at the women’s university who hides him and takes care of his wounds even while facing danger under close surveillance. When asked why he had chosen the drama for his next project, Jung Hae In replied, “The biggest reason was the writing. The strength of the writing, the strength of the story, and my infinite trust in the writer and director.” As for whether Jisoo ever felt any whiplash when switching back and forth between BLACKPINK promotions and filming for “Snowdrop,” she revealed, “Because the worlds that Young Ro and Jisoo live in are so completely different from one another, I actually didn’t find myself getting confused.” “On top of that, from the moment that I arrived on the filming set, everyone treated me like Young Ro instead of Jisoo,” she continued. “Thanks to them, I was able to completely focus on being Young Ro, so I was really grateful to the staff.” Jung Hae In also opened up about some of the difficulties he faced while filming the drama. “‘Snowdrop’ is the project during which I found myself running into the most walls in terms of my acting,” he shared. “Because of that, I relied even more on not only the director and Jisoo, but also each and every member of the production staff. During that process, I realized that there truly is nothing that you can do entirely on your own. So I think I’ll be more nervous than ever before as I watch the first episode air.” Meanwhile, Jisoo spoke about how her bandmates had given her strength during filming. “The other BLACKPINK members promised that no matter what, they would watch the drama when it airs on TV,” said Jisoo. “Even when I was filming, because we contact each other so often, they were always cheering me on. Because the members were so curious [about the drama], I found myself gaining strength and working even harder.” Finally, when asked with whom she’d be watching the premiere of “Snowdrop” when it aired, Jisoo jokingly replied, “I don’t have the confidence to watch the premiere with anyone. I want to watch it by myself at home, but I don’t know what will end up happening. I think I may end up covering my eyes with my hands and watching through the tiny gap between my fingers.” “Snowdrop” will premiere on December 18 at 10:30 p.m. KST. source
  2. Didn't have time to respond properly at work but @Tofu I like the look of glamping! Yes that's why I have high praises for YSJ in Duel. He is a bit of an oddball when it comes to acting. To change between playing Sung Joon and Sung Hoon, he invented a chant. So he would keep chanting the same trigger words for whenever he needs to switch characters. For Sung Joon, his chanting word would be "It's not me. It's not me!". Also while filming a drama, he'd rent a small room and live like the character he plays. He would also spray perfume for certain characters he played to help him channel that character (but if I remember correctly he didn't have a perfume for My Country. I think Hwi's scent would be sweat HAHAHAHAHAHA). @abs-oluteM Hahahaha I totally forgot about the chicken ad. @Chocolate Are you still engaged and continuing with Jirisan? I'm dropping it. There are too many new dramas I want to check out and need to catch up on existing ones. More importantly it's making me Zzz every time that I got so annoyed (at myself) , plus the episode before Son Seok Ku was so uninteresting. My care factor was going down as I watch how the Rangers look for evidence when we already know who the culprit is. No suspense at all! @SilverMoonTea @abs-oluteM What about you guys? Keep or drop? This is specially for @Chocolate and @im0202
  3. I've too many TV homeworks piled up. And tomorrow I've to meet up with friend in the city too so less time to binge. Oh the stress.
  4. Yes! When she said her maid was precious to her I immediately thought about her behaviour in first episode too! Even though I tried to explain it away with because Ji Woon changed her. Er... yes and no? Sex scenes wise maybe not like Empire of Lust but Frozen Flower is much older and can you imagine introducing BL scene at that time? When I found out of this movie, I didn't know the celebrities I knew did this movie. xD Cue @Chocolate immediately go and look up on it! Yes it is understandable. It's what makes them sad and makes me mad. LOL. Nope. It's not important HAHAHAHA Welcome @SjJ to Jang Haven forums. Good to hear it was generally well received on most platforms. I think it's well done too to have Ji Woon falls in love of Dam-i/Hwi for the person that she is and not because of gender differences. South Korea is not yet ready for real boy-boy BL on the silver screen (more flexibility in movies) so this will be as far as it can go without Knetz filing a petition to axe another show again.
  5. Enjoy it as much as we can now. Beauty don't last forever 😭. Technically..more than that. There was a scene where he was Sung Joon but pretending to be Sung Hoon... somewhere in episode 11 if my memory is correct. He also has to play the Professor.
  6. I watched episode 1 last night. It was good. The scene the show chose to show us first was gripping. But LDH makes me feel stupid hahahaha. I've no idea who those names mentioned too. I learned Maths but I was not taught of the people and the history.
  7. I'm definitely hoping for it to happen... he and Han Suk Kyu seems to be very close too... he totally clings to him off-screen in S1
  8. I see and hey @SilverMoonTea @abs-oluteM, we were right! Choco did crush on AHS! I agree RDTK doesn't need romance. However I did enjoy the scene where In Beom and Eun Tak had a go at each other and after that In Beom was pulled aside by Dong Joo asking if he abuses her because he likes her and he finds out In Beom likes Yoon Seo Jung too. I honestly wasn't invested in OTP's romance either even though I liked their kiss in episode 1. I would be happy if they could cut down the politics brought on by In Beom's father. S1 was OK but S2 he appeared again and it just felt like a rehash for me. I just want them to focus on saving patients and branch out the stories from there, like how they did it in S1. I don't think there is any other AHS's dramas that are good off the top of my head. Still 17 is heavy on the romance and you are going to complain LOL. Abyss was a terrible terrible drama although AHS was gorgeous in there. Top Management is enjoyable but so-so on the plot. Just go watch DUEL - no romance there.
  9. Park Gyu Young Is Worried Sick About Kim Min Jae As He Undergoes Emergency Surgery In “Dali And Cocky Prince” There’s only one episode left of KBS 2TV’s “Dali and Cocky Prince”! The romantic comedy stars Kim Min Jae as Jin Mu Hak, a man who lacks schooling and book smarts but is extremely resourceful and talented at making a living, and Park Gyu Young as Kim Dal Li, a woman who is intellectually polished and comes from an elite background but doesn’t know how to take care of herself. Spoilers Previously on “Dali and Cocky Prince,” Jin Mu Hak attempted to protect his half-brother Jin Ki Cheol (Lee Je Yeon) and ended up being stabbed with a knife. Despite the fact that he was bleeding profusely, he was worried about Kim Dal Li who was waiting for him. The newly released stills preview Jin Mu Hak between life and death. His father Jin Baek Won (Ahn Kil Kang) and stepmother So Geum Ja (Seo Jeong Yeon) rush to the scene as soon as they hear he’s in critical condition. Until now, Jin Baek Won was ignorant of Jin Mu Hak’s heartache, and So Geum Ja was only concerned with her son Jin Ki Cheol. However, at this moment, they are truly concerned about Jin Mu Hak’s safety, and his family members stay by his side as he goes into surgery. Kim Dal Li waits next to the emergency room with an anxious look on her face. She is terribly shocked and saddened by the news of her injured lover, and her pale face and clasped hands hint how desperate she’s feeling. Will Jin Mu Hak and Kim Dal Li get their happily ever after? The drama’s production crew commented, “The [next episode] will show Kim Dal Li and Jin Mu Hak’s family running over after hearing the news of Jin Mu Hak’s injury. Please tune in to the final episode to find out if Jin Mu Hak will be able to recover as Kim Dal Li wishes.” The final episode of “Dali and Cocky Prince” will air on November 11 at 9:30 p.m. KST. source
  10. Ahjussi? But I don't get the link to Red Sky vs RDTK . Or ... you're saying coz the romance in RDTK 2 is even less interesting so you wouldn't have complained about the romance between Haram and Cheon Ki? Were you ok with the romance in RDTK 1 between YYS and SHJ?
  11. Hahaha, here I am wondering whether I should start Melancholia first and leave D&G to tomorrow so I can binge both at once.
  12. There are at least 3 possibilities. The wife turned, she bit his lover to death. The wife found out he's cheating. During a fight, one of the women was killed. His wife turned and he tried to defend himself by hitting her with the golf poll (Yi Hyun is holding it in the pic) and since she's hard to kill, he manage to lock her in the bathroom.
  13. I wouldn't classify Yang Se Jong as pretty. Duel being good is because we're mesmerised by his acting. You'll know when you see it. And some of my Oppa deul are not the good looking type at all. Wait what? You had a crush on Yangmyeong? Not Haram / Ahn Hyo Seop? I don't belive you xD Yes. His prescription is really high!
  14. Hahahaha did @Chocolate go and search up on Frozen Flower after this was mentioned? Hahaha Rowoon is on loan to Park Eun Bin by me. I'm not loaning him to another woman And LOL, you really like your scandalous plot I can tell ya that! But aren't you sick of watching concubines fighting each other for a man's affections by now? I feel so sad (and annoyed) when I see how pathetic women had to become during that era... hence I made sure I've my own virtual male harem True. China doesn't recognise LGBT yet that's why they can only hint it. SK doesn't too however I can see from various kdramas (and Westerns) these days are introducing more and more this topic into the stories and try to "educate" the viewers that being homosexual is not wrong so that as time passes, the newer generations will not condemn this community for being different. I think it is interesting that Ji Woon is written to fall in love with a woman thinking that she is a man and love her for who she is as a person rather than a man or a woman. However, this did make me question whether this is how LGBT people felt too? I don't have LGBT friends to ask and it's too sensitive to bring it up as I don't want to offend anyone. However using myself as an example, I have noticed that I could not crush on actresses like I do for actors therefore I do think being a man does make a difference for me. Hope I make sense. Refer to The Moon that Embraces the Sun . Kim Soo Hyun managed to dodge sleeping his Queen for all episodes! Yes, Hwi's "manliness" has already been questioned. This is why you shouldn't have skipped/dropped this drama LOL she should just do what the movie The Face Reader do. Add a mole and return to a woman and no one will know and we will have no drama to watch and I've no Rowoon to ogle at. @Chocolate Now we need to talk... I have only peeked at the end of the last few pages of the manhwa. But I'm not telling you the ending because it can be completely different for the drama and I want you to keep watching I think it's Dam-i's stupid way of wanting to move on from Ji Woon, and also it is inevitable anyway because the grandmother has set her mind to it. She is neither pro-dad nor pro-grandfather that's why she chose So Eun since her family is "neutral" in the politics. I agree with you about So Eun. It felt off for me as well; however, I think I've an explanation to this change. Ji Woon's schooling in the beginning and his continuation of showing her his ways changed her perception. She did say to Ji Woon that he makes her feel ashamed of herself. To be honest Noh Ha Kyung's naivety and behaviour doesn't sit well with me either because her father is in the same camp as Minister Han can only means the father would be quite a stuck-up himself and his status / behaviour would also influence the household. I can't see his offsprings not take up his snobbish attitude as well. 2021.11.10 A BTS of A Scene Shared by Staff And @ktcjdrama the "real" pond is actually very shallow https://www.instagram.com/p/CWFbpUnAcFB/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  15. I got: 1. Ahn Bo Hyun 2. Lee Jun Ho 3. Rowoon --- End of repeating the quiz --- @Tofu He's not even only playing 2 characters in there and he was so new at the time (Duel was his 3rd dramas), which is what makes him amazing! Paging @Chocolate WATCH DUEL. Tofu's approving YSJ's acting in there (+ me and @abs-oluteM).
  16. @bairama Our boy is back! Lol. Not too late to change ship yet 😆
