  1. The woman may have gotten pregnant deliberately too. She has spent so much of her life with this man and she is still young. It is not surprising if she wants to have a child. On the flip side, if she is opportunistic, then she could be having a child to ensure a share in the inheritance. Don't you think it is odd for her to sue? Which mother wants it reported publicly that the father wanted an abortion - her child will read this in future. Aside from the suit, the relationship is a non-issue. She made it a scandal. Jackie Chan's scandal is totally different. Whatever we may think about Jackie Chan's personal life, we have to applaud his attitude and willingness to learn and work hard. When he first started, those were hard times. His success was solely due to himself. Most successful men play the field. He just picked the wrong woman - that woman and the daughter she brought up seems a bit mentally unbalanced. His wife is long suffering - when the affair came to light, he cut ties with the mistress. I would think that's a best thing to do.
  2. I agree too. That's why the high risk ones are kept on suicide watch so they are alive to face punishment. Watching all these prison dramas, don't you agree the Korean prison seems quite "luxurious" compared to other countries? They have a room shared by 6 people with a bathroom with door. Unconfirmed if the suicide is real or rumour. This Ha Jung Woo? 😱
  3. Yes, I watched Designated Survivor 60 Days and he did well there. I just saw a tweet that Queen of 7 Days is a melo! If so, don't think I will continue. I was looking for political thriller.
  4. I have been reading this. He sounds like a younger Harvey Weinstein. The problem is, when you are arrested by the Chinese government, it's almost game over. Not many come back out as innocent. The system is so opaque. And apparently it is death penalty for rape/sex with minor. The government is pro citizens and they will not hesitate to make an example of him (although they may not execute him). I think he's going to have a tough time. I have to agree. And the sex scenes... no sizzle... more snooze hahaha (don't kill me...) If it's not fun, shouldn't you be hoping for 3 day office and 2 days home instead? LOL! Most people seem to prefer some sort of hybrid. But I read an article which explained that this would not be so simple in reality and has repercussions on other businesses. For example, transportation and f&B. Prices are based on usage and overheads. How can the train/bus service plan capacity/routes if everyone goes to office on Monday and no one goes on Friday? Same with cafes/restaurants. They can't be overcrowded one day and empty the next. So even if there is hybrid, the usage needs to be more consistent every day - the teams need to decide who is coming on which day so that it is around the same number each day.
  5. So it seems the official title is "39, 40"? I've just watched episode 1 of Queen for 7 Days - Yeon Woo Jin is male lead there? He's also the younger version of Ji Jin Hee's character in Undercover? He's 36 playing a 20 year old - his dermatology routine must be good! Hahahah. Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, And Lee Tae Hwan Confirmed For Son Ye Jin And Jeon Mi Do’s New Drama Aug 6, 2021 by E. Cha It’s official: Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, and Lee Tae Hwan have joined the cast of JTBC’s upcoming drama “39, 40” (literal title)! “39, 40” is a realistic new drama about the friendship, romance, and everyday lives of three women on the verge of turning 40. Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun were previously confirmed to be starring in the drama as its three female leads. Yeon Woo Jin will be starring opposite Son Ye Jin as Kim Sun Woo, a 39-year-old dermatologist who returned to Korea after emigrating to the United States in high school. Warm-hearted but also surprisingly forward, the doctor finds himself increasingly drawn to fellow dermatologist Cha Mi Jo (played by Son Ye Jin). Lee Moo Saeng will be starring in the drama as the calm and caring Camp Entertainment CEO Kim Ji Seok, who knows Cha Mi Jo from school. When he happens to meet her friend Jung Chan Young (played by Jeon Mi Do) through her, he falls in love with the acting teacher at first sight. Finally, Lee Tae Hwan will be playing the role of 35-year-old chef Park Hyun Joon, who runs his own restaurant in Chinatown. Although he is talented enough to work at a top-tier hotel restaurant, he chooses to open his own restaurant so that he can make the food he wants to make. He eventually gets to know regular customer Jang Joo Hee (played by Kim Ji Hyun) and her friends, and he starts to find happiness in spending time together with them. “39, 40” is currently slated to premiere in the first half of 2022. 6. The one with the ribbon bow is a dermatologist too and Son Ye Jin's love interest I think. We expect him to have some style lol. Character descriptions of the MLs. Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Mu-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan appear in 'Thirty, Nine'... Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Ji-hyun breathing [Official] Enter 2021.08.06. 9:05 am By Kim Ga-young Yeon Woo-jin (from left) Lee Moo-saeng Lee Tae-hwan [Edaily Star in Kim Ga-young reporter] Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Mu-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan will join the new JTBC drama 'Thirty, Nine'. JTBC's new drama 'Thirty, Nine' (played by Yoo Young-ah, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by JTBC Studio, Lotte Cultureworks) is a real human romance drama that deals with the deep story of friendship, love, and life of three friends who are about to turn forty in 2022. It is scheduled to air in the first half of the year. Previously, Son Ye-jin (as Cha Mi-jo), Jeon Mi-do (as Jeong Chan-young), and Kim Ji-hyeon (as Jang Joo-hee) were cast as three friends, while Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Moo-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan announced the casting news. First, the transformation of Yeon Woo-jin, who is split into the role of a 39-year-old dermatologist Kim Seon-woo, is expected. Kim Seon-woo is a warm-hearted person who is friendly, but he is also an attractive character the more you look at him, the more aggressive he is. After immigrating to the United States in high school, he returned to Korea with a unique story, felt a strange attraction to Cha Mi-jo (Son Ye-jin) and began to permeate her world. I wonder what kind of life Kim Seon-woo, who will be expressed through Yeon Woo-jin's delicate acting, will be. In the drama, Lee Moo-saeng plays Kim Jin-seok, the representative of Champ Entertainment, an entertainment agency. Kim Jin-seok, who has a calm and serious personality and caring, falls in love at first sight with Jeong Chan-yeong (Jeon Mi-do), whom he met by chance through her as Cha Mi-jo's senior. Expectations are also high for the character Kim Jin-seok, which will be drawn by Lee Moo-saeng, who has shown solid and heavy acting. Lee Tae-hwan plays the role of Park Hyun-joon, a 35-year-old Chinatown president and chef. Although he is a chef who is skilled enough to be recognized at a hotel, he is a courageous character who opened a restaurant because he wanted to cook his own. I get to know local regular Jang Joo-hee (Kim Ji-hyeon) and friends in a small shop I set up with my own hands, and I feel a little happiness in my time with them. Interest is focused on what kind of changes will occur in Park Hyun-joon's daily life because of them, and the character Park Hyun-joon played by Lee Tae-hwan. As such, 'Thirty, Nine' predicts a richer and more exciting story with the joining of Yeon Woo-jin (Kim Seon-woo), Lee Mu-saeng (Kim Jin-seok), and Lee Tae-hwan (Park Hyeon-jun). Not only that, but I also guessed the relationship between Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun. Following Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun, JTBC's new drama 'Thirty, Nine' is scheduled to be aired next year. Source

  12. Hot banner! @bairama 😍 Thanks @mademoiselle and @abs-oluteM for the BTS videos. Apart from Hyun Bin's projects, I hardly watch BTS but Devil Judge ones seem quite fun 🥰 But I seem to have missed the parts mentioned below: Watch: GOT7’s Jinyoung And Ji Sung Sweetly Take Care Of Each Other On Set Of “The Devil Judge” Aug 4, 2021 by S. Nam tvN’s “The Devil Judge” released a new behind-the-scenes video! In the new making-of video, GOT7’s Jinyoung gets playful as he makes the camera follow him around. After his actual hair stylist and makeup artist appear briefly in the drama, he tells them that they’ve done a great job. In a different scene with Ji Sung, Jinyoung takes care of the other actor by removing a small piece of dust from his face. Ji Sung helps Jinyoung film his scene by silently mouthing his lines so that Jinyoung can immerse himself in his role. Grateful for the help, Jinyoung hugs Ji Sung afterwards. While Jinyoung is filming, Ji Sung also uses an electric mosquito swatter behind him so that he isn’t bothered. While resting, Jinyoung mentions how Ji Sung’s shirt was about to burst while fighting. Embarrassed, Ji Sung reveals, “It was the shirt that was small.” Eyeing the staff’s mosquito swatter, Jinyoung shares, “I really want that.” Ji Sung tells that staff member, “You keep it. You’ll get it stolen by him.” Jinyoung warns, “Be careful. I have sticky fingers.” Eventually, Jinyoung gets his hands on the mosquito swatter, which he uses diligently until it’s confiscated by another staff member. In the middle of Park Gyu Young and Jinyoung’s scene, a large ferry passes by, causing them to stop filming in order to wave at the excited passengers on board. Ji Sung and Kim Min Jung also remain energetic while filming their scene, laughing from having to do multiple takes. Back at the courtroom, Jinyoung massages Ji Sung’s shoulders to help him loosen up. Later, Ji Sung playfully stretches a hand out to check if Jinyoung is sleeping, but Jinyoung keeps making up excuses by saying that he was immersing himself in the moment. Kim Min Jung struggles to remember the order of her yoga poses, and although she nails the pose properly, she eventually falls because she can’t maintain her balance. The director compliments her after her workout, but Kim Min Jung compares herself to a character from the horror move “The Ring.” When Jang Young Nam joins the scene, she and Kim Min Jung compete on who is the character that’s more cruel. Afterwards, Kim Min Jung breaks all the glasses on the table, and the director makes her freeze on the spot so that she doesn’t hurt herself while filming. Source
  13. jtbcdrama JTBC's new drama "39" in the first half of 2022 Son Ye-jin X Jeon Mi-do X Kim Ji-hyun, a heart-warming combination.💖 ㅤ A 39-year-old friend's ordinary, unfaithful daily life 💨 JTBC <39> Coming Soon! 🔜
  14. Description of the roles. Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Ji-hyun appeared in '309, 9', and 309 friends with ups and downs (official) Enter 2021.08.04. 9:03 am Reporter Lee Min-ji [News News Reporter Lee Min-ji] Actors Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun work together as three friends who live to be thirty-nine years old. The real human romance JTBC new drama 'Thirty, Nine' (played by Yoo Young-ah / directed by Kim Sang-ho), which deals with the in-depth stories of friendship, love, and life of three friends who are about to turn forty, will be cast on August 4th by Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun. has been confirmed 'Thirty, Nine' depicts the ordinary and windless daily life of thirty-nine-year-old friends who meet by chance one day in their second year of high school and look at their forties together. The women, who formed a precious relationship at an unexpected moment, face another unexpected thing one day, and live a day of thirty-nine that is hotter than ever. I wonder what kind of fate awaits them and the story of the three women's tumultuous 39 years that will fill the beautiful and heartbreaking first half of 2022. Son Ye-jin plays the role of Cha Mi-jo, the director of Gangnam Dermatology Clinic. It expresses a 39-year-old woman who is warm and sometimes full of the scent of cool water as a person who grew up in a well-to-do between a caring father, a generous mother, and a good-natured older sister. I look forward to seeing how Son Ye-jin, who is loved and trusted by the public for her in-depth acting, will complete the character Cha Mi-jo, who will once again fascinate the small room. Jeon Mi-do, who will show another thirty-nine life with Son Ye-jin, takes on the role of acting teacher Jeong Chan-young. A person who ran with the dream of becoming an actor, but became an acting teacher because it did not work out as much as his heart. There is always sincerity in the harsh tone that he spit out, so he doesn't hate him even if he spit out harsh words. The transformation of Jeon Mi-do, who will write a new character for her life through the character Jung Chan-young, is also paying attention to what kind of work will be filled in her thirty-nine years. Lastly, Ji-hyun Kim plays the role of Joo-hee Jang, a cosmetics manager at a department store. The character Jang Joo-hee has a timid personality and never had a proper relationship until she turned forty. There is a time for everything, but now that I am at the end of my 30s, I am paying attention to whether I can expect good things, and to the character Jang Joo-hee, which will be played by Ji-hyun Kim. As such, 'Thirty, Nine' is the meeting of three actors who have performed uniquely in dramas, movies, plays, and musicals, including Son Ye-jin (Cha Mi-jo), Jeon Mi-do (Jung Chan-young), and Kim Ji-hyeon (Jang Joo-hee). receiving it in the body. In particular, the fantastic lineup of three friends, which ended with Son Ye-jin, who wrote a new record in K-drama, Jeon Mi-do, who was reborn as a popular actor, and Kim Ji-hyun, who is famous as a trusted and watched actor in the musical world, raises expectations for the chemistry as well as the acting synergy they will create. In addition to the collaboration of writer Yoo Young-ah, who wrote 'Boyfriend' and director Kim Sang-ho, who directed 'Run On', it gives a foreboding of the birth of a real human romance drama that will stimulate the emotions and sympathy of the viewers. Meanwhile, JTBC's new drama 'Thirty, Nine' is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2022. (Photo = MS Team Entertainment / Besters Entertainment / Vibe Actors) Source
  15. Ji Sung Discusses His Drama Career And Character In ‘Devil Judge’ Aug 3, 2021,08:40am EDT|24 views Contributor: Joan MacDonald Ji Sung plays the mysterious and often cruel judge Kang Yo-han. STUDIO DRAGON Ji Sung is a very modest actor. When asked how he prepares to play characters as diverse as the split personalities of Cha Do-hyun in Kill Me, Heal Me, the hopeless chaebol in Protect The Boss or the terrifying judge Kang Yo-han in the current tvN drama Devil Judge, he says it requires considerable preparation. “I’m always on the lookout for ways to help in understanding my characters,” he said. “Getting immersed into a character isn’t very difficult for me. Whenever I meet a new character for a project, I prepare very earnestly to portray the character. I’m not an actor with incredible talent, so I believe preparing diligently is the answer for me.” Korean drama fans might argue with Ji Sung’s statement that he lacks incredible talent and the acting awards he’s won, including more than one grand prize, also contradict his humble opinion. In Kill Me, Heal Me alone, he convincingly plays several different characters. He’s played a variety of memorable roles in popular comedies and melodramas, including All In, Save The Last Dance For Me, My Familiar Husband and Secret Love. He plays the telegenic judge Kang Yo-han in the Devil Judge, which is set in Korea in a dystopian future. In the drama, Yo-han presides over court cases that are televised and voted on by the public, much like current idol singing contests. While viewers in the drama applaud the show for bringing justice to the corrupt rich and powerful, there are obvious flaws to such a system. The public is easily influenced and some of Yo-han’s sentences are cruel. Also, he has an agenda that’s based on his own past trauma. While creating the complex character Ji Sung focused on Yo-han’s back story, “I trained myself to constantly visualize Yo-han’s life,” said Ji Sung. “I did my best to understand his life and create the kind of emotions he would have felt in his life. Even if I couldn’t understand him, I accepted him wholly. Throughout production, all I thought about was the life of Yo-han. And it made me wonder about the kind of justice he needed.” Source

  17. Oh dear, Kim Min Jung has contract disputes with agency. And she has not been paid! 😱 @KoreanUpdates #KimMinJung furthery explain abt her dispute. KimMinJung & CEO 'G' were discussing on new contract, but suddenly lost contact with 'G'. By discussing new contract means neither of them agreed for the automatic extention of the prev. contract. Bcs of this, #KimMinJung claim the contract was on hold, as there's no stamp on it. She also signed individual contract with #TheDevilJudge, so even her contract with compay ends, she still need to finish her work. #KimMinJung also stated her appearance fee hasn't been paid since Feb. She learnt that #TheDevilJudge paid through her company, WIP, but she never heard any of it from her company. https://entertain.naver.com/now/read?oid=144&aid=0000753305
  18. Louis Koo When he first started acting Then as he got famous (I think a fortune teller told him he needs to be tan to prosper; anyway he does look better tanned)
  19. Really? I've been watching his recent movies and thought he still looks ok. A bit stretched but I thought because he is so healthy and lean. He is 60 already. Love him too 😍 One of the most determined and hardworking actors. Louis Koo, sadly, his face is so distorted from aesthetic/cosmetic treatment. And he started so early when he didn't need it. Do any of you like him?
  20. Hahaha No I didn't! So sad right? We held hands though - this time he was smarter, just said "Give me your hand" 🤣
  21. The way I see it, there are 3 kinds of scenarios: 1. The guy doesn't know the girl (or are just acquaintances) and forces the kiss on her - NO 2. Guy and girl are friendly but there is no romantic feelings between them - NO generally - MAYBE, if the guy is super handsome lol! (and for @JenL does not have bad breath hahaha) 3. There is attraction between guy and girl - YES! For Secret Love, it's scenario 3. The FL in this case is not really pushing him off because she didn't want to kiss him. She was just caught by surprise and her nature is not the "grab and kiss him back hard" type. You can see that when he kissed her gently the second time, she kissed him back. I do understand that this is not a popular opinion these days. But I really dislike the idea of asking first. Maybe because I once got that question and by reflex, I said NO when I meant YES! 😭😂
