  3. He looked shocked/worried when they heard the gunshot and ran to the room. In the car, he was quiet but he also worried for Ga On. They are all affected, as can be seen by the bad temper after that. We know Yo Han didn't mean for Cha Kyung Hee to die - he may be trying to bring about her downfall, but he is not into murder. Yo Han just doesn't show it as much as he has bigger worries. His right hand man's death will hit him hard - he will feel responsible - and so he will be more merciless to the villians. I was quite shocked by Sun Ah. She has been portrayed as a "ditzy" woman who has the brains to plot and scheme. All around her love for Master Yohan. Although she killed SRF Chairman Seo, perhaps because he had raped her, I found that less horrific than her killing of Yo Han's right hand man. They are really building her up to be an all out villian. I guess she was really angry realising she was being played by Yo Han when she was trying so hard to persuade the President Group of her plan to rope him in. I'm not too sure about CJ Min. His statement at the hospital bed blaming Yo Han seems like he has already set his mind. Even Ga On couldn't get a word in. Plus he is a CJ. He knows that the judiciary has not been able to give fair sentences and are biased to the rich. Ga On has told him so too. He has also seen all the live court cases. At his level, he shouldn't need convincing by anyone. She's being made use of by SRF. Probably because she has some credibility to the public as a judge. The poor fool just doesn't know it 🙄 I love her leather suit though 😂
  4. Hyun Bin reveals why 'Secret Garden' was destined for him Kathleen A. Llemit (Philstar.com) - August 9, 2021 - 1:11pm MANILA, Philippines — Those who have recently started to watch K-drama might have come to love Hyun Bin in "Crash Landing On You" but the Hallyu superstar is known for other equally popular romantic comedies such as "My Lovely Sam Soon" and "Secret Garden." The latter, he said, was destined for him. Although he had been in showbiz for quite some time starting young and notably being part of the fourth season of the hugely popular youth sitcom "Nonstop," Hyun Bin got his big break in 2005 when he got cast opposite Kim Sun-ah in the romantic-comedy (rom-com) "My Lovely Sam Soon." After this show, he explored other genres in TV and film. Related: Hyun Bin shares 'Crash Landing on You,' personal fun facts It took another five years before he got to star in another rom-com, but this time, with a touch of fantasy. It also created the "Hyun Bin syndrome" in South Korea. "'Secret Garden' felt like destiny to me. After 'My Lovely Sam Soon,' I didn’t really get to do romantic comedies. I also just had more chances to do other genres. Then the moment I thought I could do a romantic comedy, I had 'Secret Garden'," he shared at a recent virtual fan meet presented by his endorsement, Smart Communications, Inc. "Secret Garden" sees him romancing on-screen another of Korea's OG (original) Hallyu superstars, Ha Ji-won. It's a body-swap romantic-fantasy-comedy between chaebol scion Kim Joo-won (Hyun Bin) and stunt woman Gil Ra-im (Ha Ji-won). Fan meet host and fellow "Nonstop" alum Park Kyung-lim gushed about "Secret Garden," saying it's one of her favorites of his works. She then asked if Hyun Bin had any idea that the drama, its lines and memorable scenes would become hugely popular. "I had no idea. I found the scenes like the foam kiss scene and the sit-up scene quite interesting, but at the same time, I found it a little cringy, too. But I did want to make those scenes entertaining," he said. Kyung-lim asked if "Secret Garden" was a turning point in his career. The actor agreed. "It was indeed. Mostly because it was the last drama I shot before I entered the army. Thanks to this drama, I could wrap up what I have been doing and move on to the next level, which was very nice to me," he said. In 2011, Hyun Bin enlisted with the South Korean Marine Corps in accordance with their country's laws where all males are required to serve two years in the military before turning 30. 5. Aug 9, 2021 The Negotiation Promotion - 3rd Anniversary The Beginning of Hyun Bin's Love with Son Ye-jin, the production report of the film "Negotiation," which was full of pinkish air. Input2021.08.09. 7:00 a.m. Reporter Park Ji-young In this project series, we look back on the photo of "n years ago today" with Exports News at the entertainment and sports scene. 6. Aug 9, 2021 ❤❤❤ 'The Negotiation' Promotion - 3rd Anniversary Aug 9 is the first day of 'The Negotiation' movie promotion in 2018. To me, the TN promotion period from Aug to Sep is gold. It is so rare that we have the opportunity to watch anyone fall in love. With BinJin, we did. And they are so lovely to watch. I was a late fan. CLOY was only my second k-drama and I watched it after it aired, some time in Apr 2020. Similar to many other fans, I was a total newbie to these 2 actors and had to google what "shipping" meant 😂 But the more you dig, you begin to realise that it is really something exceptional. I was shipping not because I wished them to be together, rather that I thought they were very likely together. It was quite obvious to anyone who had done any research on them. Since I am a fairly recent fan, I didn't have time to document this period in previous years. Will try to do so this year in the following posts. Schedule

  10. These are so cute. Kudos to @serineblack for the compilation.
  11. I’m done with my watch with subs. Seems Viu promises subs within 5 hours of release in Korea. So it’s available at 1am 😋 I forgot but @im0202 you know Korean so live-stream is fine for you! This episode was a little slower in pace with everyone absorbing Cha Kyung Hee’s death. But what an ending to the episode. Yo Han vows to kill Sun Ah in the most lonely and miserable way - wonder how that will be. So far, the Vincenzo revenge scenes were the most “horrific”. I hope Sun Ah dies in an even more painful way 😋 Ga On looked like he was reconsidering his part in Yo Han’s scheme after the law minister’s suicide. However the last scene with the SRF gang beating people and forcing/kidnaping even children into the vans may just rekindle his fire again. Looks like Soo Hyun will save him in the next episode.
  12. Viu has subbed version at about 2am sometimes. I’ve stayed up to wait for some episodes 😆
  13. Another gripping episode. Together with the preview for ep12, it’s beginning to look like Sun Ah is coming up tops for now. And Yo Han is bound to meet some obstacles. Agree it’s probably a bad idea to invite Sun Ah to the house - because she gets to meet Elijah and see them play happy family. This shows her that Yo Han does have something precious to lose - I just hope she doesn’t get to use it in later episodes. Yo Han’s intention I think was to tempt her and to exacerbate Sun Ah’s inferior feelings about having been a maid, to spur her into working with him against Cha Hyung Hee. Surprisingly, I felt some empathy towards Sun Ah when they showed her recollection journey in the house - in particular the scene where she looked at her younger self admire the silver ware and she had a regretfully look (? - like she knew it was wrong and she didn’t like the label now that she was a thief) when she saw her younger self pocket the item (then the scene was interrupted). Much as I don’t like how the actress played this role, I have to say she is doing well. I really hate her which is success I guess. If it had been another actress, I would wish Sun Ah’s character had a more sympathetic back story and there is a future with Yo Han. Soo Hyun - her role has been quite redundant so far. But now I finally understand why she is there. She’s a trouble maker for the cause. If she is supposed to be a voice for Ga On’s conscience, we can see he now no longer confides in her. He knows she will not understand and her methods will not solve anything. He has Yo Han now. Sorry to those who are shipping her and Ga On, I think he is better off without her. But this “potential” romance is a minor point in the drama anyway. So Cha Kuung Hee chose her son afterall. In the scene where she asked Yo Han why he was targeting her, I was like - tell her. Tell her that she caused Elijah to be paralysed. Being oblivious to other people’s pain, she probably is not even aware that what she thought was a small action would cause her downfall. Though that may not have been the sole reason, it should be one of the reasons. Without her files, how will Yo Han get at the rest? So looking forward to the rest of the episodes. Only 5 left 😭.
  14. Yes, I read those too. She doesn't get along with the mum. Police called. Ran off, got married to another girl. They don't have jobs and ran out of money, so she had to move home to her mum's. Rather sad. It's Singapore National Day this Sunday, so Monday is a holiday. Happy weekend everyone 🥳
  15. Thanks for the link. Good to see they are still going strong. My error. Cut ties would be better. He decided to have no relationship with the child.
  16. Does LBH have a scandal too? Tell! 😂 That's why I said his wife is long suffering. But she decided to stay in it, so as outsiders what can we say? Jet Li - his wife is a former cat 3 actress and well endowed. I think he is very happy at home 🤣 Yes! Frankly, if he acknowledged the other child, it will be even harder for his wife and family. It's like Salma Hayek's husband too. He got sued by Linda Evangelista for child maintenance. He paid but cut ties too. But that was before he and Salma were a confirmed couple so it was not considered an "affair".
  17. The woman may have gotten pregnant deliberately too. She has spent so much of her life with this man and she is still young. It is not surprising if she wants to have a child. On the flip side, if she is opportunistic, then she could be having a child to ensure a share in the inheritance. Don't you think it is odd for her to sue? Which mother wants it reported publicly that the father wanted an abortion - her child will read this in future. Aside from the suit, the relationship is a non-issue. She made it a scandal. Jackie Chan's scandal is totally different. Whatever we may think about Jackie Chan's personal life, we have to applaud his attitude and willingness to learn and work hard. When he first started, those were hard times. His success was solely due to himself. Most successful men play the field. He just picked the wrong woman - that woman and the daughter she brought up seems a bit mentally unbalanced. His wife is long suffering - when the affair came to light, he cut ties with the mistress. I would think that's a best thing to do.
  18. I agree too. That's why the high risk ones are kept on suicide watch so they are alive to face punishment. Watching all these prison dramas, don't you agree the Korean prison seems quite "luxurious" compared to other countries? They have a room shared by 6 people with a bathroom with door. Unconfirmed if the suicide is real or rumour. This Ha Jung Woo? 😱
  19. Yes, I watched Designated Survivor 60 Days and he did well there. I just saw a tweet that Queen of 7 Days is a melo! If so, don't think I will continue. I was looking for political thriller.
  20. I have been reading this. He sounds like a younger Harvey Weinstein. The problem is, when you are arrested by the Chinese government, it's almost game over. Not many come back out as innocent. The system is so opaque. And apparently it is death penalty for rape/sex with minor. The government is pro citizens and they will not hesitate to make an example of him (although they may not execute him). I think he's going to have a tough time. I have to agree. And the sex scenes... no sizzle... more snooze hahaha (don't kill me...) If it's not fun, shouldn't you be hoping for 3 day office and 2 days home instead? LOL! Most people seem to prefer some sort of hybrid. But I read an article which explained that this would not be so simple in reality and has repercussions on other businesses. For example, transportation and f&B. Prices are based on usage and overheads. How can the train/bus service plan capacity/routes if everyone goes to office on Monday and no one goes on Friday? Same with cafes/restaurants. They can't be overcrowded one day and empty the next. So even if there is hybrid, the usage needs to be more consistent every day - the teams need to decide who is coming on which day so that it is around the same number each day.
  21. So it seems the official title is "39, 40"? I've just watched episode 1 of Queen for 7 Days - Yeon Woo Jin is male lead there? He's also the younger version of Ji Jin Hee's character in Undercover? He's 36 playing a 20 year old - his dermatology routine must be good! Hahahah. Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, And Lee Tae Hwan Confirmed For Son Ye Jin And Jeon Mi Do’s New Drama Aug 6, 2021 by E. Cha It’s official: Yeon Woo Jin, Lee Moo Saeng, and Lee Tae Hwan have joined the cast of JTBC’s upcoming drama “39, 40” (literal title)! “39, 40” is a realistic new drama about the friendship, romance, and everyday lives of three women on the verge of turning 40. Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Ji Hyun were previously confirmed to be starring in the drama as its three female leads. Yeon Woo Jin will be starring opposite Son Ye Jin as Kim Sun Woo, a 39-year-old dermatologist who returned to Korea after emigrating to the United States in high school. Warm-hearted but also surprisingly forward, the doctor finds himself increasingly drawn to fellow dermatologist Cha Mi Jo (played by Son Ye Jin). Lee Moo Saeng will be starring in the drama as the calm and caring Camp Entertainment CEO Kim Ji Seok, who knows Cha Mi Jo from school. When he happens to meet her friend Jung Chan Young (played by Jeon Mi Do) through her, he falls in love with the acting teacher at first sight. Finally, Lee Tae Hwan will be playing the role of 35-year-old chef Park Hyun Joon, who runs his own restaurant in Chinatown. Although he is talented enough to work at a top-tier hotel restaurant, he chooses to open his own restaurant so that he can make the food he wants to make. He eventually gets to know regular customer Jang Joo Hee (played by Kim Ji Hyun) and her friends, and he starts to find happiness in spending time together with them. “39, 40” is currently slated to premiere in the first half of 2022. 22. The one with the ribbon bow is a dermatologist too and Son Ye Jin's love interest I think. We expect him to have some style lol. Character descriptions of the MLs. Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Mu-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan appear in 'Thirty, Nine'... Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, Kim Ji-hyun breathing [Official] Enter 2021.08.06. 9:05 am By Kim Ga-young Yeon Woo-jin (from left) Lee Moo-saeng Lee Tae-hwan [Edaily Star in Kim Ga-young reporter] Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Mu-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan will join the new JTBC drama 'Thirty, Nine'. JTBC's new drama 'Thirty, Nine' (played by Yoo Young-ah, directed by Kim Sang-ho, produced by JTBC Studio, Lotte Cultureworks) is a real human romance drama that deals with the deep story of friendship, love, and life of three friends who are about to turn forty in 2022. It is scheduled to air in the first half of the year. Previously, Son Ye-jin (as Cha Mi-jo), Jeon Mi-do (as Jeong Chan-young), and Kim Ji-hyeon (as Jang Joo-hee) were cast as three friends, while Yeon Woo-jin, Lee Moo-saeng, and Lee Tae-hwan announced the casting news. First, the transformation of Yeon Woo-jin, who is split into the role of a 39-year-old dermatologist Kim Seon-woo, is expected. Kim Seon-woo is a warm-hearted person who is friendly, but he is also an attractive character the more you look at him, the more aggressive he is. After immigrating to the United States in high school, he returned to Korea with a unique story, felt a strange attraction to Cha Mi-jo (Son Ye-jin) and began to permeate her world. I wonder what kind of life Kim Seon-woo, who will be expressed through Yeon Woo-jin's delicate acting, will be. In the drama, Lee Moo-saeng plays Kim Jin-seok, the representative of Champ Entertainment, an entertainment agency. Kim Jin-seok, who has a calm and serious personality and caring, falls in love at first sight with Jeong Chan-yeong (Jeon Mi-do), whom he met by chance through her as Cha Mi-jo's senior. Expectations are also high for the character Kim Jin-seok, which will be drawn by Lee Moo-saeng, who has shown solid and heavy acting. Lee Tae-hwan plays the role of Park Hyun-joon, a 35-year-old Chinatown president and chef. Although he is a chef who is skilled enough to be recognized at a hotel, he is a courageous character who opened a restaurant because he wanted to cook his own. I get to know local regular Jang Joo-hee (Kim Ji-hyeon) and friends in a small shop I set up with my own hands, and I feel a little happiness in my time with them. Interest is focused on what kind of changes will occur in Park Hyun-joon's daily life because of them, and the character Park Hyun-joon played by Lee Tae-hwan. As such, 'Thirty, Nine' predicts a richer and more exciting story with the joining of Yeon Woo-jin (Kim Seon-woo), Lee Mu-saeng (Kim Jin-seok), and Lee Tae-hwan (Park Hyeon-jun). Not only that, but I also guessed the relationship between Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun. Following Son Ye-jin, Jeon Mi-do, and Kim Ji-hyun, JTBC's new drama 'Thirty, Nine' is scheduled to be aired next year. Source
