  1. Episode 13 I really feel that JK giving money to JY's dad is not actually helping JY's situation - it's just enabling his parents to become dependent on JK's family and their wealth and generosity. They seem to be pretty shameless people from the way they squeeze their own son's talents for money, that it's so obvious they would treat JK's family like a bank and not think twice. The money lending does really complicate things - I was thinking it was only JY's lingering feelings that made him keep going back to her. But I can see why JY would feel tied to her over the money. You can't exactly stop talking to someone if they keep giving money to your parents. I think JY feels like he owes her a debt he can never repay and that's why he helps her when she asks. But I also think it's been a habit of his to like her for so long that it's hard for him to stop going to her at her beck and call even though he feels stronger for SA. That's why he does things like go with JK to Professor Song's house....which he really does not have to. At All. The Event planner talk that Ms Cha gave really shed light on SA's feelings I think. But I can't help but feel like that if SA could view herself as having different talents that supports the cause she loves rather than seeing herself as failing at the things she loves, she would be so much better off. The Arts doesn't just rely on the artists - there are lots of behind the scenes people who make the shows happen and they are just as important as those who are in the spotlight. There would be no spotlight without them. (Hahaha, I feel like I'm praising myself because this is my industry!) I was so disgusted by Professor Lee's comments about SA being "the perfect wife to JY because she could organise his things" that I had to go for a tea break! What is wrong with this woman? How could she be a teacher when she says such sexist things, not to mention comments on a student's personal life so inappropriately?? Between SA and JY, I'm feel a lot of pressure and communication issues. Both of them are such quiet personalities and so overly considerate that they never want to burden the other person with their problems. But not sharing their weaknesses and hard times leads to misunderstandings and weakens the foundations of their relationship. Like JY suddenly running off because of the plagiarism - he didn't have to explain every little thing, but I don't see why he couldn't call to tell her there was an emergency....and then he could have invited her over to his house later XD FINALLY I'm so so so glad SA STOPPED being professor Lee's assistant. I wish she had thrown something heavy like her violin at that vile woman's face. But I feel like she was at least firm about her decision even if it means she's now unsure about her future again. Better to drift than to lose your dignity everyday!
  2. oh man! I meant to write up on Episode 12 but somehow between everything I didn't get time and time flies. I'm just going to write down all my opinions on these angsty episodes first before I backtrack and read everyone else's comments....and I'm going to try a more dot point style for now so I can say everything without waffling too much XD From this series I've learnt: That I'm so glad I'm not cursed to like playing classical music as it seems to make you miserable rather than happy. Also so glad I don't teach music as there seems to be a lot of politics and everyone who teaches music has some sort of complex and are likely to be moody (I'm just kidding though if case anyone here is a music teacher in real life) Episode 12 I wanted to say it made so much sense that the accompanist was mean because she ended up being Professor Lee's friends daughter. Go figures. I mean she gave feedback, but the kind that sounded like "Can't you do better?" which put down SA rather than gave her constructive feedback. Suddenly quitting on SA was highly unprofessional and rude too. I found I actually liked JK as a tutor - it's been the only time she's been truly happy in this whole series and she really connected with the student and gave her comfort the way a big sister would rather than Professor Song who is condescending I really dislike all the teachers in this drama, but I really don't understand Professor Song. Even though Professor Lee is evil, I can see she has a huge inferiority complex being picked on by Professor Song. But I don't know why Professor Song feels like she always has to step on Professor Lee (not that I feel sorry for her)? It's like she's super petty and a bully. Did they ever explain their history? The way Professor Lee treated Hae Na was pretty disgusting (though I don't like Hae na either). It's just so shallow and fake. She only praises those who have connections with fame and money. And she still looks down on SA, but considers her smart to attach herself to someone. It was just so gross to hear her criticise Hae na based soley on the fact she wasn't dating someone famous?! This episode really, really hurt for SA. Or it hurt for me watching SA. I think there's so much pressure for SA dating someone who gets all the attention. I guess I eat my words when I said it was nice people accepted that she was dating JY....There's always going to be a group that is bitter and jealous. I thought it wasn't smart of SA to go into that chat and read it, but I guess curiosity killed the cat and I'm not sure I would be able to resist if I was in that situation either. Then there was the horrible, horrible way that she found out she was not in the chamber orchestra. I felt so, so ,so bad for her. It was not only the fact she wasn't in the orchestra. It was the put down that went with it - I only pick "talented" students, pretty much scoffing at her lack of talent. And the deception. Like it's so obvious that SA would think she was part of the orchestra. She purposely did not clarify....so for JY to also do the same thing and not clarify that he was seeing JK as well, I can see why SA would feel shocked and hurt
  3. Haha start watching!! My favourite character, the second lead Qing Feng, has just been revealed to have a happy ending. The trailer showed a cameo and this has exceeded all my expectations I love this person and I'm so glad they're making an appearance to fix up the second lead's tragic story I'll put the cameo under a spoiler tag in case people don't want to know, but it's in one of the Finale episode trailers anyway, so it's not a big secret!
  4. Haha, I haven't watched Shopping King Louie, so this is all new to me. When I started episode 1, I was like this is like some sort of hyper drama where everything that could happen is happening in one episode and I was meh on how crazy it was. This drama toes that 'suspension of disbelief' line in the same way that a lot of super dramatic Spanish dramas do, so it just sits at the limit of my logic tolerance XD but I'm really enjoying the colourful and cute ride. I think crazy events in K-dramas are normal *Ahem, Crash Landing* But the speed and intensity at which they happen determine just how hyper/ 'believable' I find them to be. This sounds so cute! The whole reassuring they'll be family and the lullaby. Aside from an initial attraction, I do think Jun is drawn to her because he's lonely from always being on the run and she's the type of character who is naive-not-super-smart-but-super-warm in her girly way. I've never really liked Go Ara, but somehow I'm doing ok with her in this drama. Lee Jae Wook is balancing her out XD But honestly, I think she's balancing the more naive I'd say it's not so much Jun being mean that he was pretending not to know that the groom ran off. But he was probably trying to be polite or help her save face, but then it all came out which was doubly embarrassing for Rara. I'd agree that the groom probably does like Rara, but I think he's too much of a mummy's boy to stand up to his crazy mother, who is clearly money hungry. And being chicken, and selfishly comfortable with his lavish life, he didn't seem worried enough to try secretly finding her, even though he knew that she'd be homeless and in a terrible situation. I do find the doctor mysterious. He's one of those characters that seems to know more than he lets on. But I feel like he's in the category of guys who might potentially be under Rara's ditsy-need-to-protect-her spell. I totally agree he is protecting her from his friend, who seems to be more superficially attracted to her...and from Jun, who he believes to be a con-artist (and who he might know something about from the past) Soulful is a good way to describe Lee Jae Wook! I find him to have a maturity that seems beyond his years (he is only very young! Early 20's?) I think can seem very reflective, thoughtful and empathetic...but can also be convincingly cool, irritated and impulsive when it's his character's moods.
  5. I'm enjoying this drama so far though the female lead is one of my most hated tropes - the ditsy, gullible girl who cries a lot and for no good reason 2 or more guys will fall head over heels for. Oddly enough, I'm still invested this time around and not smashing my screen yet out of frustration over the female lead. I even found the second episode cute. Maybe it's because I really like Lee Jae Wook and it's his first lead role. And he's playing a super nice guy with a mysterious past (haha, which is one of my favourite tropes). Or maybe it's because that bossy school girl who is after him is so very annoying that the ditsy lead is annoying me less. I do like the relationship between the bossy school girl and her hairdresser mother though. It's funny and kind of cute how they bicker. Speaking of Lee Jae Wook, I'm not even sure what it is about him. I think he's a good at portraying a lot of little nuances in his characters that make them seem deeper or more conflicted, so they don't just seem one dimensional. And he seems very charismatic! I've heard lots of nice things he's done for fans
  6. Hello, me the slow watcher and commenter again! I don't know what I do with all my time. I suppose it's split between Korean and Taiwanese dramas....And also current dramas and past dramas that I missed, (but now watch to fill in time waiting for the current dramas, but then also get addicted to and also have to fan girl on even though everyone is already over it) Oh and I blog a lot because I like translating/ collecting BTS content. So I'm basically doomed to always be last in a forum! I'm really loving your thoughtful insights @mademoisellesia and @wallflowersforjane. I read them and feel happy that other people feel the need to write down all their good thoughts too Might reply to some things later from your long posts if I don't cover them in my long posts. Episode 11 Episode 11 was so cute for JY & SA. So, so cute. I agree with whoever said the first part of the drama was a bit heavier because of how SA was criticised by Park Sung Jae, even though it was solid advice. I find him to be such an annoying character because he can be really superficial. But as much as I don't like him, I do think he is a realist and I have met people who give advice in this type of hurtful style. Technically the advice is not wrong, but by delivering it in this way, the message doesn't go through as strongly as the sting they give you. Still I guess that scene had to be there otherwise how else would be have the handholding!! I find JY so comforting. Like he just knows how the right things to say to SA and even more than that, when he can't say anything, he'll just comfort her by holding her ...or stroking her hand. I'm not sure who was more comforted -SA or me, watching them For some reason, this was almost as cute as the ice-cream double kiss scene. I feel sorry for HH in terms of how Professor Lee treated him. I know some people might not since he was throwing such a hissy fit at JY. But getting kicked out of an orchestra because you used to date someone seems so unreasonable and unprofessional. Whatever happened to talent huh? I'm sure this happens in real life sometimes too, but it's a real shame when people discriminate like that. I feel even more sorry for SA who is being trampled on left, right and centre. She's basically a middle person and slave for Professor Lee (More on this on Episode 12 write up). But being made to go to another city/town to pick up something non-work related sounds ridiculous. I also remember doing voluntary things to get my foot in the door when I first left uni...but nothing so bad as that. Another potentially unpopular opinion, I really don't mind JK. I don't like her when she's around SA or JY of course because she hurts them both, but I think as a character by herself she's interesting to watch. She has so many layers of grief she's dealing with (loss of mother/ loss of talent/ break-up but not getting guy she wants) that she has a whole storyline by herself. And I think meeting that younger violinist brought out a positive side to her - she seems like a dedicated teacher! I love that JY and SA go to Daejong! It was so sweet for JY to actively choose spending time with SA over JK. He seems so reserved and structured (as someone who not only has talent, but has forced himself to practice and be in competitions all the time) that it seemed like he wouldn't be into doing something so spontaneous. But I also think he senses SA's discomfort every time he has to go to JK, so doing a grand gesture like this was very confidence boosting for SA. It's a shame that @abs-oluteM did not get the stay over scene she wanted (well, we all wanted!) but I did think it was so lovely that he wanted to show her around his hometown, not just rush back. And while he wasn't comfortable with his family, I loved how SA just smoothed over the tension between mother and son. She's so non judgemental and caring that I think she's a pillar of strength for JY when his family is clearly his weakness (what his main scandal is about). Haha, I'll give you guys a break from my long posts and write up Episode 12 tomorrow. Man, Episode 12 was so painful. A real stab in the heart for me. I felt so, so, so sorry for SA.
  7. Professor Lee is a horrible. Her and the manager are definitely the worst characters because they really bring down SA's already minimal confidence. I think the worst part of what she did was actively deceive SA about being her assistant. She never told her from the start that she wouldn't be part of the orchestra and if she knew SA was confused, she wouldn't clarify because she wanted someone to pick up her broach etc.
  8. I have a lot to say about that manager. He is really gross as a person. I mean, he was terrible when he sort of betrayed the foundation and wanted to step away to manager JY. But his behaviour is beyond terrible. He treats everyone solely based on their status or talent, otherwise they aren't valuable? He's all about image and he's so fake. I forgot the piece was the same as JK's piece till this week. Wow, another thing to add to the list of reasons to have low confidence for SA I wanted to say I love the cute couple outfits....but I think I just like SA's clothes in general! She wears such pretty, feminine and floaty outfits...but they also look comfortable and carefree. I'm not even a super fashionable person, but just really adore SA's clothing choices
  9. This is such a great point. This drama shows a world where people are valued only for their skills and so called talents and I think it can be dehumanising. But SA an d JY have brought that warmth back into each other's lives because they actually care about each other and have a deeper understanding for each other's struggles Haha @Lynne you're a serial binge-watcher. I'm like a slow-burn-one-episode-per-week person XD
  10. @mademoisellesia @abs-oluteM @ktcjdrama @wallflowersforjane I agree with all you above Those hand holding pics are so sweeeeeettt I think hand holding is sometimes more tender and more affectionate than kissing + which is more passionate and apparently females get slayed by affection. I am looking at those pictures like
  11. Haha, I think the filler episodes are actually because it's a long run drama with SETTV. Short run Taiwanese series, even if extremely popular, tend to have better story-telling pacing. Someday or One Day, Before We Got Married, Yong-Jiu Grocery Store were all popular dramas, but at only 10-13 episode long they had good pacing and the stories flowed well. With Lost Romance, I think the pacing has been uneven since the beginning of the drama. It's a fun watch for the actors and actor's chemistry, but there are a number of things I would change if I could to make the episodes fall more evenly in excitement/ character development/ events happening. The story and sense of mystery is interesting enough, and even for filler, this episode is still technically moving the story along and related to the core of the plot - I just feel like it wasn't executed well in that it should have included some excitement using the other unresolved subplots.

  14. I thought it was strange that he was working so hard to clean his place when all he had was a bottle on the table
  15. Ohhh I love the guy from Hotel Del Luna. Lee Do-Hyun? He's so pretty!! So many things to watch. I am a sucker for pretty cinematography, so I might give it a go. Body swap / Reverting-Back-to-Youth dramas are funny and full of fun hijinks even if a little predictable at times.
  16. @Lynne Woo! Glad you're excited for The Devil's Punisher too. As for Last Romance, I found the last episode really slow! I like that she's worked really hard to find justice for Qing Feng now that she's out of the story world, and I feel like it's good she's building rapport with Tian Xing, but I find the pacing of this drama has major ups and downs. This episode felt like a filler because nothing exciting happens....but when exciting things happen, it's like 3 things in one episode. I thought they should have included some scenes with the evil brother and Uncle Hu, since that's still to be resolved. Simon/ Qing Feng not being in the episode made me sad, but they did post an extra interview with Simon this week about his character...
  17. oh right for those wondering, sadly I was put off after watching the first episode because this drama is sooo slapstick and although I like Puff and Jiro quite a bit, I'm disappointed in the acting and production of the drama. It feels kind of like early 2000's stuff...so this is on my maybe-skimming list. Maybe my tastes have changed a lot (although I never was a fan of the slapstick dramas). Has anyone else seen this? What do you think if you have? And do you think this drama will improve.
  18. Just been seeing so many posts about Ivy Shao and Edison Wang (Wang Bo-Chieh) being attached to this project too! I saw the Jasper movie version which was popular and even though I'm a big Jasper fan, I wasn't really into the story - I often don't like how in stories of fatal disease, the person dying tries to 'set up' their loved one with someone else, hurting themselves and the other person in the process. Like just enjoy your love in the last precious moments of your life! But with that said, I might have a peak of version anyway since I do like Ivy and Wang Bo-Chieh.
  19. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was weird that she didn't have connections and were using her music students! Haha, I have a weird memory. I think it's because I wanted to agree with you and then forgot, so it was in the back of my mind that I should type it sometime. Ms Cha is the best! She's so supportive of everyone and she sees through the BS with the some of the less nicer characters (and I think works hard to protect both SA & JY).
  20. Haha, I think it's because there's too much drama with the side characters...it'd be good to have a few more quality scenes of them sharing deeper things like you said...because sometimes their conversation in these episodes are cute, but very surface-type topics (ie. "Have you eaten?" "Where do you want to go?" etc.) I'm so glad to see that they just told everyone they were dating and didn't try to do that awkward hiding around friends and JY's professor bit. And for the most part, I'm glad other people accepted it. (Except for Hae-na, who looks like she's jealous of Song-Ah, but also insecure about her own life choices and how she looks to other). Yep, I think there is a maturity of these two characters that has to do with the fact that they're closer to the 30's than 20's (or younger.) I feel like it's weird that people might think Song-Ah has bad intentions for helping out with Professor Lee - she just really wants to know she has a future somewhere. And I think you might say she's feeling a bit desperate, but not being an ambitious suck up! (Then again it's people who don't know her or who are jealous of her in the show who makes than assumption.)
  21. Does anyone know Dean Fujioka? He's in Japanese, Taiwanese and Canadian dramas. I actually think he looks better with a mustache than without!
  22. Finished Episode 10 also and maybe unlike other people, I'm not as frustrated as some of you guys maybe because I feel like the drama is quite subtle and there's a lot to peel back and to dissect about why the characters act the way they do. Episode 10 I do feel bad for SA and think it'd be normal to feel insecure this episode- she's already feeling less confident from being Professor Lee's assistant and then JK said those things...and now seeing JY and JK play will hurt. But I also feel like while she isn't necessarily winning a lot in this series, the moments where she's upset don't necessarily drag on for episodes at a time - JY usually cheers her up...and it looks like that will happen next episode too. I was disappointed that she's didn't stay over - even for a super innocent-awkward-sleeping-on-the-couch scene. But I liked that she commented on his cleanliness...was totally thinking that when he was freaking out and tidying before she came in! Looking forward to a potential away-from-home scenario next episode and hoping they're not just teasing us! I find MS and HH's points of view the most unreasonable. I think they're both so obsessed with people who don't care for their feelings that they're destroying the more important people who actually care for them. It's also highly ironic that both MS & HH are telling SA & JY that they should have "controlled their feelings" in the past when they themselves know that it's very hard to stop feeling a certain way as @mademoisellesia mentioned. I get why they might be upset at being made to look a fool, but I don't get how it was a threat if both SA & JY didn't act on their feelings and invite temptation into those platonic relationships. I feel like if they wanted to make MS & HH a bit less dislikeable, they could have maybe written the dialogue a bit better - Like if MS mentioned all those violin lessons or HH actually talked about how they hid the trip from him - I'd sort of see where the jealousy and paranoia come from because they suspect things had happened without their knowledge. But with the words MS & HH actually said, they both sounded selfish because they were not blaming the people who hurt them (DY & JK) who were also the ones mainly "not controlling their feelings," but taking out on the people close to them. I'd actually say out of everyone SA & JY have been the best at controlling feelings till other people pushed it out of them. Man, the teachers at the school have serious problems. I really think they all shouldn't be teaching At least it was nice to see JY bite the bullet and find out what was bothering his teacher. I'm guessing the teacher is kind of jealous of JY amongst other feelings. It seems like he would also like to play, but he lacks the talent - he's only good at shaping it and as he's rather serious, I think he feels frustrated looking at JY who sometimes seems less dedicated to winning all the time, though he has talent. Talent, but not always the drive or desire 24/7. I guess the central theme of this drama are centred on Talent & Hard Work: Is it enough to only work hard? How important is talent? What if you're talented but it's not necessarily the path you want to take? How should you view your competition. The competition between the two female professors is so catty! Both seem quite repulsive....But again, I'm confused as to why Professor Lee is using SA of all people to get connections. I mean, it's clear that she's using her as a free slave. But if she cared about prestige so much and she was talking down SA originally to Ms Cha, wouldn't she have picked a more prestigious student to take under her wing (though I guess then she wouldn't have a slave to organise the chamber orchestra.) Again, still don't know how the students will be connections to her - you'd think professors make those at conferences or association events? I think if you're maybe a more assertive person, it might be frustrating to watch someone like SA....but I'm kind of more reserved in personality and have been in an environment that was based on judging you on your "talent" and "intelligence" and I think I can relate to feeling small. It's more frustrating when you're looking in, but when you're in that environment, you have tough days but you just learn to power on - And I think SA is doing that, even if she apologises to undeserving characters as a mode of survival. On the opinions of the Chinese forums: As a person of that background, I think Chinese culture can really focus on being "perfect" and "practical" and there's a lot of dramas where the main characters are very talented, or just lack confidence but they work really hard and succeed, so people feel pained watching someone struggle who might not really succeed. But for me personally, I find dramas being always about the people that succeed to be hopeful, but also stereotypical and unrealistic - It's kind of refreshing watching a more slice of life and seeing the realistic portrayal of someone who's trying to balance doing what they love with the pressures of the outside world (ie. You can only do what you love if you're good at it). I think sometimes when you're finding yourself you think about living off what you love, so maybe her journey is to realise she should just play music even if it's just a hobby? Or maybe she just wants to succeed playing music in that hall before she gives it up? I also think her friends/ old classmates offer the other alternative - they work in the offices and aren't happy about her jobs and admire SA for 'chasing her dreams' (not knowing her struggles). SA is happy playing the violin, but what makes her unhappy is the outside pressures from family and school. So maybe it's about learning to balance those pressures to find happiness. It's an interesting look into what is success and happiness!
  23. Haha! Asian moustaches are so funny...usually just shadows and LSG's is no exception! Jasper doesn't have one generally, but he did have a very light one (like LSG's in that picture) for a role he played in a movie called "More than Blue." It's one of those emotional dramas - guy-gets-cancer-wishes-girl-to-have-relationship-with-someone-so-girl-does-it-to-please-him-while-being-unhappy, so I guess he was meant to look shabby in his depressed/sick state Haha does this count?! I agree with @stroppyse generally - not big on facial hair or long hair BUT I acknowledge that for some guys, it can make them super hot. I don't know what it is, but some people just pull it off and it gives their face definition (might even make them look better than before)
  24. @mademoisellesia Such dedication to look it up! Haha, it exists! And it's linked to our national university, which has a pretty good name in the world even though it's not some old prestigious ivy league. I'm thinking maybe JY getting second in a smaller (non-European) competition might be to illustrate just why other pianists are seen as 'more important' than him now. Like the judgemental people are thinking 'He couldn't even get first place in a smaller competition.' Yeah, I didn't think JY looked offended. I also don't think his character is really the jealous type. Not sure if he heard what was said, but I think he's quite level-headed...like he knows things have been going well between him and SA, so unlikely she'd be confessing to DY who treated her and her friend badly. As for Min Seong, I know what you mean - she is pretty self-absorbed about her and DY, who is a waste of her time to be honest. There are some people who are like that and it can feel a bit much as a viewer to see a friendship that is so one-sided. Out of your options, I think if it's (1), I'd think MS is stupid because SA just told her she was dating JY. But if it's (2), it is kind of self-absorbed, but I would understand why she was mad - it kinda hurts to feel stupid all this time....But also, I'm guessing she'd start questioning all the time DY spent teaching SA the violin. If she's really unreasonable though, she would blame SA from taking DY's attention away from her (this would be quite mean and not very logical). But if it's (3), it could turn into one of those nice friendship moments. I mean, then it's just guilt and being mad at SA because she's made her the guilty friend! Is More than Friends a new drama? I will join if I'm not too behind. I'll be finished with my other drama tonight and I'm always up for a new cute couple
  25. Hi allI I haven't written here for awhile...it was quiet for a little bit and then suddenly I missed 5 pages!! (Also the Taiwanese Golden Bell drama awards kept me busy as my favourite drama won big!) But now I'm back to spazz over our favourite couple. Also I have so many things I want to say about the last 3 episodes. Episode 7+8 Firstly that first kiss was seriously so so so sweet Haha @abs-oluteM knows that I watched it 3 times at least, but it's been many more times now. I really really liked the build up to it because it was so tense. But then his confession was so simple, but full of conviction. Like he sounded so sure about how deeply he felt for her. And he said it so many times that I don't know how SA didn't just go weak in the knees! Yeah, I, watching on my screen, was dying from the impact. I have to say JK's confession to JY that she kissed him because she was jealous made so much sense to me! Because I was always confused why she didn't just date him if she liked him so much. But I think a part of her 'liking' him so much when she's obviously been with HH for so long has to do with her admiration for how he has been able to use his talents. She sees her dreams in him and it's making her jealous. I think a part of her just wants to mess him up. And she wants to be like him. She's also had that long intense bond with him, so she's thinking it's love. But it's kind of not - it's like a ball of messy intense feelings stemming from her looking for a way to be happy when she's gradually become more and more unsatisfied with her own life. Episode 9 But onto Episode 9 which I have a lot of opinions about: I'm really really glad they're having such sweet dates. I like the way they tease each other and joke around and have such easy chemistry. Also, I'm really glad that JY didn't deny that they were in a relationship to SA's classmates. (On a side note, I'm glad that most of her classmates, though gossipy, are not mean spirited or jealous and congratulated her - maybe because it's more a slice-of-life drama, so it's more realistic that people would admire, rather than bully). I really liked that SA was brave enough to initiate the second kiss as well! It was such a cute way to make up for the ice-cream haha....And then the way he reached out to kiss her back was super cute too My favourite character is actually Mrs Cha, who she worked for at the Foundation. She is such a wonderful person to both SA and JY - treating them like friends and mentees, unlike the teachers who seem to be treating them as ways to make connections/ find fame/ get money. It's so important to have a boss like that...I feel like someone said it earlier in this forum maybe @wallflowersforjane who also had a good boss?...I think in my personal life, I'm really lucky that my boss is like that. He always has my back - so maybe I like Mrs Cha because I see my own boss in her, haha! I like that she talked to JY and told him to open up to SA because it's no doubt going to help them both when he hits a hard spot with his family or piano playing pressures. In contrast, I find the teachers at the school to all have problems though?! The teacher who is using her for the chamber orchestra set-up is a real piece of work. Honestly, she doesn't seem to care about any of her students, but she is really going very far to use SA, who she knows will be more desperate for a grad program spot. I find her repulsive...but I also don't understand how you really get connections from having a Chamber Orchestra...If anyone has a better understanding, please explain to me :) Similarly, JY's teacher seems to have used JY to get where he is now. I find their relationship to be so complex though - it seems like he use to care about JY as a person...or was he always just better at hiding his wanting to be connected to the Foundation than the other people who applied for the job of teaching JY? I watch this drama on Kiss Asian and they translated that the Chopin Competition he got second place in was in Australia (haha my home). I actually laughed because I'd never think of Australia as a place for a prestigious classical music competition. I'd think Europe! Was the version translated wrong? Or if anyone is musical, is there a competition in Australia like that? @mademoisellesia I hope JY won't misunderstand! But he didn't look hurt at the end of that episode (though she did tell him DY wouldn't be at the dinner??) I think MS just caught the wrong words and she's already been so caught up in her love for him. I do find her annoying at times, but I also feel sorry for her - she was genuinely happy that SA found love though, so I guess she's hurt to find out this "truth" was hidden from her. But as much as I like SA, I do feel that she didn't make a smart choice. If you're waiting for that friend to come (even if it seems like they are super late) I'd avoid talking about a subject like that!! (I have been the super late friend before....so I know that people can always sneak in last minute!) Added Edit: @mademoisellesia Haha...I'm loving the drama! I meant to be here more, but I really forgot how fast Korean dramas are! I'm use to the once a week pacing of Taiwanese dramas, so I can spazz very slowly. But with the 2 episodes a week....I feel like there's so much going on if you take into account the BTS content too I am a very slooowwww person
