  1. One of my arms Have plans this weekend?
  2. Omg here I’ve been wondering and I just realized it’s the doctor that used to work with TXL’s dad. The one we suspect of now working for the South. Duh!!! Feeling a little dumb right now, haha. But TXL’s comments in the preview clip make a lot more sense now!
  3. I swear, Episodes 15-18 have been some of the best. First there was the take down of Stepmom and then SO MUCH SWEETNESS. I just love this OTP. Agreed. A modern woman. She and her future sister-in-law will get along in that regard. As much as I enjoyed that sweet image of TXL cradling MWQ in his arms in the car, I did feel bad for Tan Si. He looked really cold out there!!!!! Awww, poor guy. TXL and MWQ are going to have to make it up to Tan Si, making him suffer for the sake of their relationship, lol. My favorite parts of Episode 17 & 18 were TXL reminding MWQ that she can trust him, and should, because it's not that he won't ever loop her in, but that when he doesn't, he has a good reason for doing so. I also appreciated that her pout lasted all of a hot second because she's also sensible and knows that TXL is right. Mostly, I liked how he included her in the interrogation of MDC and didn't try and protect her from the facts, no matter how hard the truth was going to be to hear. Really, the gem of this show is seeing how TXL and MWQ work together. The previews of Fourth Sister sharing the film reel with Warlord Pei make me nervous.... and even though Wan Ting has now been dispatched to Hong Kong, I'm worried about her reappearing in the future. Are we truly done with her? I fear not... and I fear what revenge she'll try to bring if she does show up again. That's someone with some twisted logic... blaming others for what was "stolen" from her when everything she ever had was stolen from others!!! She should be grateful to be still alive. Speaking of Wan Ting, I totally figured TXL would not actually kill MDC but would substitute someone for him instead. But the attempted drowning of Wan Ting by Warlord Xu?! That somehow caught me off guard. I was not expecting that as i figured with her away in Hong Kong, she wouldn't be an interference in his plans anyway. But I also thought that whole attempted drowning was poorly executed. They did it right in front of everyone who was trying to board the ship!!! Shouldn't the men have helped her onto the boat and then taken her to a more discreet part of the boat to throw her over?? Do I need to give these evil people a lesson? LOL.
  4. When you count down to the lunch hour... only to remember there are no new episodes today.... Guess I'll continue on with my rewatch instead....
  5. No Buy anything fun during 11/11 sales?
  6. I know, that’s why I was commenting that it sounds like she studied all sorts of things. Not just business, but architecture too. Maybe she’ll surprise us again in a future episode with something else. Our FL is smart and multi-talented! Hehe.
  7. What didn’t she study in Japan??? Rewatching Ep 2 and during the dance with XGY, where she tells him that she found a map in TXL’s suitcase, she also mentions that she studied architecture in Japan so she’s familiar with all the markings on the map. Haha!
  8. I love how Warlord Xu's underling can say (and really believe it) that TXL is hypocritical and shameless... I mean, let's consider who he's working for!
  9. Episode 15 — the scene in the hospital where XGY tells Wanqing he’s afraid Wanting may have bullied her, and TXL scoffs by asking how Wanqing would letting anyone bully her — this is a perfect example of what I was saying yesterday, about how TXL treats MWQ as someone capable of standing on her own two feet whereas XGY treats her as if she needs help to stand on her own. (Yes… I’m rewatching today’s eps… 😂😅🤣)
  10. Our TXL is just being a jealous little boy. Sooooo unreasonable and petty. Haha. I don't know if you guys have watched any BTS clips from this drama, but Oliver Chen plays the jealousy through to even off-screen times and it's pretty cute/funny. Really, TXL has nothing to worry about though. From the beginning MWQ has always drawn a boundary between herself and XGY. Yes, he's a friend from her childhood, but she's never considered him to be anything more than that. Whenever he holds her hand, she always carefully draws hers out from under his. Nobody could accuse MWQ for intentionally or unintentionally leading on XGY, that's for sure. I respect how she clear she likes to keep those lines. Anyway, today's episodes!! Like everyone's already noted, they were so exciting. Clearly I couldn't resist watching them both over my lunch break. But there was just too much going on to stop watching. The take down of the Stepmom was sooooo great. It was everything I'd been waiting for. And I love how TXL and MWQ put their heads together to figure out the missing puzzle pieces and then worked together to bring it about. They are a formidable couple! Sometimes I thought TXL looked like he was enjoying himself a little too much, given the topics that were being talked about (past murders, etc.), but then I'd also think, "Nah, I've got that same snickering smile on my face too." LOL TXL definitely knows that Xu Bojun was behind MDC, just as Xu Bojun knows that TXL knows. That was the whole convo Xu Bojun had with his underling after he got the report from TXL... Since MDC had two motives to do what he did, TXL cut his loss over Xu Bojun (for the time being) and focused on taking down Stepmom instead. Because in doing so, that also gave him something to hold over Xu Bojun and cleared the name of his militia -- Xu Bojun realizes this, too; that's why he's been so upset and keeps having his men try to kill MDC. By the same token, it's why TXL can predict that people will come after MDC. TXL and Xu Bojun are like master chess players... too bad for Xu Bojun, our TXL is a better player. Even if TXL didn't get to expose Xu Bojun this time around, he still emerges as the winner and now he'll have an even stronger arsenal to take down Xu Bojun in the end. I'm sure there is soooo much more to be exposed with respect to Xu Bojun. My heart is already feeling heavy for XGY the day he realizes just what his father is capable of. Already, through the attempted killing in the hospital, XGY knows things are not right.
  11. @Mouse I've been curious about the one preview where they get into an argument and she slaps him. I wonder if it will turn out to be from a scene where they were putting on an act for others to see. Also, I've been curious about the identity of the guy with the glasses - the one where TXL says that he has to repay a favor even though he's now working for the south. Because I could swear I've seen another clip of TXL with that man where he greets him happily. Which makes me wonder if the happy greeting scene comes before one shown in the teaser clip you shared above (as in, TXL's happy to see this person again until he finds out what the person has come to see him about) or if it comes after... in which case I don't know why he'd look so happy, but I'm still wondering. LOL.
  12. Oh boy... I may have just taken an extra long lunch break and finished both of today's episodes already... I couldn't resist, though, with that cliffhanger ending in 15! I thought I'd just watch a bit of the next episode and welp. Yeah. Anyway. Will write more about how I felt about today's episodes later. I gotta get some work done first, hahahaha. Just laughing at my craziness. I'm usually have better self-control.
  13. I swear @Mouse sometimes it feels like you are residing in my head. Or maybe I'm residing in yours??? This is exactly what I picture for TXL and MWQ's future. I also agree that MWQ would probably have a perfectly fine marriage with XGY... they'd be committed, respectful, and it would all be perfectly lovely and loving... but in a very demure, proper sort of way. They lack that spark. XGY doesn't realize it now since he's still heartsick for MWQ, but hopefully, one day he'll meet the one who is meant for him, and he'll realize MWQ was right to reject him. Also, another thing about their relationship is, it's very much rooted in the past. XGY remembers MWQ from their childhood. And then she up and disappeared one day, so there's probably a portion of the affection that he's feeling right now that's actually longing. Rolled into that may even be feelings of regret that he couldn't have done more for in the past, and now feeling that he should somehow make things up to her now. Meanwhile MWG has experienced a whole life that's separate from XGY... she's strong enough to have withstood all those years living with just her mother in Japan. She's also strong enough to return on her own. XGY wants to stand at her protectorate. But MWQ needs more than that. Rather than someone who'll stand in front of her, she needs someone who'll stand by her side. That's TXL. Like you pointed out, @Mouse, even when he tells MWQ about what really happened the night she got "drunk," TXL only gives her the pieces and lets her put everything together. Because he knows she will and that it's important she comes to that realization on her own. I'm not suggesting that XGY is doing anything wrong. He's caring for MWQ in his own way, and I know his heart is very much in the right place. My point is only that there's are a million and one ways to show love and affection, which also means that that for two people to be a match, they gotta find the one that connects. That connection just isn't there for MWQ and XGY. But for MQG and TXL...? Their connection is so strong it lights even my light! LOL.
  14. That was sooooo precious. I had to rewind it twice; I couldn't get enough of it. Haha! Honestly, apart from the ML, he may be my second fave. I just adore his earnestness. I'm reeeally looking forward to seeing how his romance with Fourth Sis unfolds. Oh, the entire time all that was going on around him, I kept thinking: this is like a theatrical show for XGY. He has front row seats to a circus, LOL... I loved how when MWQ walked in at one point with a questioning look on her face, he just ever so slightly shrugged his shoulders. XGY's not a bad guy, but he's just not the one for the FL... I actually do hope he finds someone worthy because he is deserving. Honestly, I'd prefer the actress with him than with Su Hong Chen. But the drama is so far making no indications in that direction and I don't know if they'll introduce someone else later on. We'll have to see what romantic plans the drama has for him, if at all. Anyway, I really loved Episode 14. I liked the scene where they cleared up MWQ being misled about the phone call, but I especially liked the scene where TXL finally told her about how she'd been drugged the other night. Watching MWQ put all the puzzle pieces together for herself was pure delight to watch. I like how smart she is. She and TXL are truly a well-matched pair.
  15. Also, re: Episode 13. I should've said: Su Hong Chen really irritated me when he jumped at the insinuation that TXL's militia was responsible for the kidnapping. It bugs me when people leap at something just because it fits what they perceive to be the truth. He wants to believe that TXL is the bad person in all of this and so at the first opportunity provided, he's places the blame at TXL's door. Even though his friends are constantly counseling him to think before acting, and to exercise prudence. Sigh. If he wants me to find him worthy of the actress, he'd better change his ways - soon and fast!
  16. Great minds... I did the same thing! Haha. The two of them and their signs of jealousy..... they are killing me!!!
  17. The only thing making me happy this Monday morning is: two new episodes of "Fall in Love" to watch today. LOL... not at all head over heels charmed by this drama. ;) (What am I going to do after Wednesday? Already dreading it...)
  18. Yes, that's the one! My jury's still out on Dad... he hasn't given me reason to not like him, but there's still too much that's unknown about the past and how he operates for me to have a proper opinion about him in the present. I agree, though, that thus far he's been reasonable minus his indulgence towards stepmom and Wanting. It looks like the owner of the pawnshop is working for two people: stepmom and Warlord Xu. Based on Stepmom's visit to the pawnshop owner and his own outrage upon hearing that WQ slapped WT, I get the sense there is a deeper relationship than we currently know. (Trailer clips showing TXL interrogating him suggest the same.) But plans to kidnap dad and pin the blame on TXL; that's all on Warlord Xu. @Mizv Welcome to the thread! Glad you've decided to give this drama a try. It's addicting, isn't it?
  19. Yes and no. Half the weekend was spent running around for errands, but today is at home. Experiencing colder weather?
  20. The ending of Episode 12.... they cut us off there?! I need to know what MWQ is going to say!!! Really, I just need all the episodes. Stat. LOL. I swear this show only gets better. Time to go surfing for trailer/teaser clips... hahaha. Also, I forgot to say re: Episode 11, the watching the scene with the actress and the little sister by riverside and the two junior marshals next to them, that was the first time I felt like actress and Su Junior Marshal might have a future together after all. Su Marshal Junior is definitely the brash one of his friends, but I really hope he doesn't veer off and instead comes around to TXL too. Fingers crossed.
  21. Episode 11... oh my gosh, poor TXL... his New Years Eve musings over missing his departed family members and wishing for a peaceful life for his little sister and the actress... that was enough to break one's heart. He really needs someone in his life. Hint hint: MWQ. Loved how they were thinking of each other while watching the fireworks, but man, I do wish they'd talk over their feelings. They are both suffering for nothing when their interest is mutual. Sigh. Next ep should be even more exciting with the kidnapping!! Here's hoping the dangerous incident sparks the leads into admitting how they really feel about each other.
  22. Does bubble tea count? Doing any cooking today?
  23. Yes, he is good looking! That actor caught my eye when he was in One and Only, too! Hehe.
  24. Lol. Jinx! I was telling a friend about the drama this evening, bc I think she’d like it. (She’s going to check it out tonight!) And I was telling her how she was going to really hate Wanting and her mother, and at one point my friend said, “You’re really setting me up to not like them, huh?” I responded, “Correction, the drama does a good job setting you up to hate them. From the minute you hear them open their mouths with their whiny sounds you’re going to hate them! You won’t need me to convince you of how annoying they are!” Lol
