    Yibo's great in this role, it's so perfect for him. It is him, lol. But the other two are, too, especially Huang Xiao. I wish fans wouldn't focus on billing order so much.     So… the last scene of To Fly With You takes place in the same place as the last scene of GYH. That has to be intentional. 😝 It is one of my favorite dramas and having watched it as many times as I have, it’s no wonder I would recognize the background music immediately. It’s was kind of weird watching scenes with Director Liu and the GYH music playing in the background of To Fly With You given that he was in both dramas, heh.

    The last two episodes gave me a lot of heart palpitations, but I really enjoyed the ending - despite some of the casualties and all. I'll also add my thoughts and responses to @Mouse under a spoiler cut for those who've not yet seen the last two eps. Truly, at the end of this day, this drama was about MWQ and TXL and it's no surprise then that the drama was at its best when the story focused on them. My favorite part remains the first arc, where they met, fell in love, and worked together to bring down the evil stepmother, but I appreciate how the characters stayed consistent throughout and there were no meandering or unnecessary plot lines. I thought, on the whole, this drama stood up very well on its own.

    There are some casualties, given that it's war, but it is definitely a HE. Prepare for a wild, suspenseful ride to the end. Haha. But in seriousness, I think you'll like the ending.

    Totally, which is why, given how that played out, I'm glad if she had to die it was because she took control of her destiny and because she didn't want to let herself be used by the Warlord Xu and his evil henchman. Such a strong, upright character. She will def be missed. I really loved the scenes between TXL and Junior Marshal Su afterwards... it was like a FIL seeing off his son-in-law and there's just something sweet and touching about that, given how they both cared about the actress. ETA: Last day!!! Can't believe it's finally here.

    I think it's especially disappointing because of the way their characters have been written for the entirety of the drama. He's always been three paces ahead of whatever the latest plot scheme is, and TXL and MWQ have always been smart enough and so connected in their hearts and mind that even when they weren't communicating directly, they knew what the other was thinking or how to match the other person to be in sync. This latest conundrum feels more like the usual drama conflict where she obviously knows he's being mean for a purpose, he doesn't know how he can be with her given what he's been led to believe about their family histories, and thinks she'd be better off without him, and so Noble Idiocy enters plot again... and really, we just want to see our OTP being smarter than the rest, like they usually are, and instead, we've gotten... this. I'm still hoping for a twist of some sort, but with every episode that hope dies a little bit, and now I'm just looking forward to the truth getting revealed and TXL groveling for forgiveness so our leads can have their happily ever after. :-P

    Totally agree. Especially the evil no-longer-half sister and all her noises about "getting back what was once hers" -- except it never should have been hers in the first place?! She seems to conveniently forget that, and should be grateful for what she has already, but of course not. I actually feel sorry for her biological father at this point. He did all that he did so his daughter would have a better life, but she's so selfish and twisted, I don't think she deserves a better life! I ask that same question all the time @Mouse! It's also fascinating to me how Warlords Pei and Xu are both evil and conniving, but how different they are in their approaches with their sons. Warlord Pei finds his son weak and is constantly beating him up in what he thinks is the perfect method for making Pei Shao Jun a stronger person, but Warlord Xu is pretty indulgent, and seems to understand his son is a 'romantic'. But it's also because of those differences that Pei Shao Jun is under no illusions as to the type of person his father is whereas I often wish Xu Guanyao would get a clue. I also hope the next generation works together to build a better future for the people. I don't think we've yet met the guy who pushes TXL in the water. I'm so excited to find out how everything will play out this coming week! This past week has been filled with nail biters and angst, and I'm looking forward to some relief from all that -- bring on the happy ending, please!!! (Though I'm also steeling my heart for some deaths...)

    Spent the last few days catching up (not quite, but almost) with this drama. I thought it had a rocky beginning. There were so many different plot lines with choppy editing and abrupt scene shifts. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but kept watching anyway because I enjoyed the OTP and particularly their bickering. (I also really enjoy Song Zu'er performance in this drama.) Now I'm glad I stuck with the drama because it definitely got better, and I'm quite enjoying it. It's light and fun, and I like the stories of friendship and team-building. (Just wish the Xiao Qing didn't make me groan so much with all the wrenches she likes to throw in the Shen Zheng Yi and Shao Bei Sheng's path...) The only thing about this drama is... it uses a lot of the background music from "Gank Your Heart." Which tends to pull me out of this drama to start thinking about that one... particularly when there are actor overlaps (the school doctor is Luo Tian from GYH; the ML's father is the Legends CEO in GYH; the coach from the competing team is the VNG CEO in GYH; and one of the ML's ice skating friends was a member of the VNG team). Given that both dramas are directed by the same person (Sha Wei Qi) the overlap is not so surprising, particularly in the use of the same actors. Directors often choose to work people they already know. But using the same background music? That's not as commonly seen and it makes me wonder if it was laziness, a budgeting decision, or whether it was a deliberate decision to make it an Easter egg/informal link between the dramas, or something like that. After all, it didn't escape my notice that the Chinese title of "To Fly With You" is 陪你逐风飞翔 and "Gank Your Heart's" is 陪你到世界之巅. Both drama titles start with 陪你 (Accompany you)...

    Luoyang is visually stunning. iQiyi clearly invested a lot in this one, and IMO, totally worth it. The story takes a while to take form, but it all builds up in a logical way if you just hang in there. But honestly, even without the story, I think I’d hang in just to keep watching all the pretty scenery. Hehe. I like this special video. Gives people a glimpse into ancient Luoyang and a flavor for the drama’s amazing cinematography.

    Finally! The teasers for Episode 33 show them back to being in a happier/better place again. I'm glad b/c knowing they're going to hit a rough patch has been a real buzz kill....

    My speculations… I don’t know why, but Warlord Pei makes me more nervous than Warlord Xu. I think it’s because with Warlord Xu, we know the evils he’s done and that there’s a plan to take him down. Warlord Pei… TXL and MWQ need him for the moment, but he’s always scheming too. These past few episodes with him have made me quite nervous! 😅

    When she was allowed to live, there was a sliver of hope in me that given how dumb she is, she wouldn’t be able to make any impressionable impact with any revenge attempts she might make 😂 But yeah, usually in a drama, when someone is left alive (or out of jail) that just means they’ll return to make trouble, so no real surprises to see her back... Sigh…. Let’s just hope the drama resolves her mischief making quickly!

    Looks like he was misled because also in the previews there was a scene with Wanting and the assistant to the Japanese Chamber of Commerce guy, and it sounds like they worked together to plant the picture in the photo album.

    Yeah, but you also know how I feel about Cdrama air dates. Poster or no poster, nothing is certain until it actually airs. 😝 Hence my question mark. Still, it is exciting and good news! New trailer looked interesting as well.

    It’s about time XGY is clued in about his dad. I have to admit seeing him confront Pei Shao Jun about his father didn’t sit well with me given what we know about his own father. Is he really that clueless about his own dad’s activities? But I suppose it’s a moot point now that TXL has looped him in and shown him the truth. It will be interesting to see what paths and Pei Shao Jun now take. From the previews, we know Fourth Sis shares the film reel with PSJ’s dad and I was ready to face palm if she revealed secrets just to win a man, but looks like this is all part of TXL’s plans. Use one warlord to take down another? It’s like an endless game of domino or maybe whack a mole is a better analogy? Take down one and another one is still there? Lol. We will have to see what happens. Not looking forward to MWQ’s dad’s sacrifice. Even though we’ve known his death was coming I still wish that he could have more time with MWQ, maybe even spend time with her future children. Alas, it is not meant to be. The revelation in the newest preview about the Mu family hiring workers with special bullets is another twist… what will happen there?? I love how this drama keeps the plot going at all times!

    Just saw a poster for the drama that has 12/1 as the release date, so I guess the rumors were true after all and we'll be seeing it soon?

    Nope, I also understood them to be married. From clips I’ve seen here and there, I’ve noticed that in the later half of the drama, she starts to wear her up which suggested that she was married by then. So I figured there marriage would come somewhere in the middle… My guess based on clips from credits, BTS vids, trailers, etc. My heart is already breaking for XGY and his Pei friend… I liked the point Uncle Liao made when he asked TXL about his future plans…. Cuz these warlords in-fighting, that could go on forever and to what end? Can’t wait to find out what big things TXL ends up doing. Feels like it’s setting him up for more than just taking down Evil Daddy Xu. Especially now that Pie’s dad is coming back into the mix.

    I don't think I've mentioned this before, but I've definitely meant to, so hopefully I'm not repeating myself, but Episode 15.... that moment where MWQ returns to XGY's hospital room after escorting MWT out the door... when she walks in and gives TXL that LOOK, that is one of my favorite moments of the drama. I know that probably seems like a random moment to enjoy as much as I do, but it's because with that one expression I can so perfectly imagine what their future dynamic will be like as a married couple and with a family. Can't you just see it? TXL at home with their older son, making a mess of something, and then MWQ returning home with their younger daughter... she'd walk through the door and give him that LOOK and TXL would just shrug his shoulders and return her look with one of absolute innocence asking, "What?" Hahaha. Man, I adore the antics of this OTP sooooo much. Only one more day until Monday! These last couple of days have been an absolute killer.
