  1. I've had enough of time slip dramas with past life unfinished love line. Please please hold me back from watching this kind of genre this year. Maybe I should go back to my dailies and/or weekend family dramas with whatever makjangness they might offer
  2. Was really busy end of the year and into the first week. I only tried catching up last weekend, but it is really hard to go through ep.11-12.... The story loses steam already. It was fun and interesting at first. So sad.... Agree about the editing being choppy, especially with the flashback... Don't understand why Mountain God has to wait this long for the revenge to happen. And he was also steered by the fox/principal to become suspicious of the servant. Why can't he investigate by himself? I still don't get why he couldn't just carry out his revenge there and then. Just because of the unborn baby? Anyway, I will put this on hold and come back later when I am in the mood.
  3. I am assuming the super tall building is next to a river, and he fell into the river, and he shall be back to hunt down Do Hee. 😄 the rule of thumb that no dead body means not dead dead. Or maybe he sold his soul to another demon 🤔😁 I didn’t know people are saying this episode is angsty. It was alright but I teared up at the end, also when they were back hugging in bed, the part where he said no matter how many times she calls his name, he will answer. Which was why the ending hit me hard.
  4. can’t help myself not to cry at the end of ep.14... when she was calling his name repeatedly but no response heard 😭😭😭
  5. I will wait for more episodes to decide... I don't have as much time now, so gotta be selective As it is, I am still yet to watch second part of My Dearest.... !!!
  6. I know I am enjoying a couple so much when I watched all their BTS Love them!!
  7. @gilaswan THANK you...!! Now it all makes more sense I am feeling better for my 12 hours invested in this drama.
  8. Agree with this. I cried here In fact I don't understand how Yeon Woo can stand not falling in love with this person... who looks exactly the same, talks exactly the same, sounds exactly the same as Modern Tae Ha. If I were her, I would've fallen for him. one of the things I like from this drama is they don't skim on the kissing scenes, time/scenario appropriate and good ones too. Major issue here too!! I kept hoping the camera would pan to the pool and show her appearing in the water again and Tae Ha jumping in to save her. They can then hug and kiss in the pool. I really don't need the beautiful reunion in pretty hanbok with red flowers blooming. Maybe they wanted to emphasise the part of the man crying (with the narration) but gosh, it would have been more "realistic" (what am I talking about in a fantasy genre, LOL) or logical that the moment she hits the water because of Hwang, she would appear in water again. Yes, what's wrong with "moving on"? She doesn't know whether she could go back to modern times or not. Why not show some happy times with Joseon Tae Ha. Especially since we know he won't live long. Agree. Everyone knows and they themselves know they're husband and wife, very much in love. No need to reiterate their vows towards each other. Spent too much time in Joseon era. Like eg. does her mother need to know that she travelled to the future?
  9. I was about to say the same... It's like one after another in the dramas I am currently watching. In Netflix translation, it is "If heaven is where God dwells, I refuse to go there" That smile.... what does it mean?... but yes, very well done by Song Kang.
  10. It's okay. We'll just imagine she is in her first year college and he is in his last year high school, soon graduating and going to the same college. So they can date no problem
  11. @Tofu @mademoiselle I just finished it!! It was hard ploughing through the last few episodes... but I just feel that I have to finish it, haha... Agree with what you said. It really does have a lot of potential, especially with these two leads. Even though I don't fully grasp what I was watching anymore, their scenes can still make me tear up. The writing became draggy towards the end and lost the focus of the story (for me), but surprisingly, not a train wreck? The ending, did we go back in time to when they were younger? Or is it the next life already?
  12. Ep.10 is my favorite so far. And to set the record straight, at least in my record Samdal is the one who dumped Yong Pil. You guys are right. I think they now apply filters to the screen to make actors look younger. Nowadays, when the older people are shown their younger self, I notice that their faces are smoother. One example is grandma in Strong Girl Nam Soon. There are others but I cannot recall off hand.
  13. Chingu-deul I bring you a New Year gift below (since Christmas was too far away already, haha) It's basically the scenes cut from a 40+ episode C-drama called Centimetre of Love (anyone watched it yet?). Only the OTP scenes in the 4-hour long video. None the makjang, none the toxic side characters nor annoying side stories. What a delightful find! I stumbled upon it while browsing YouTube and really enjoyed it. Acting is natural, both ML and FL a delight to watch. After they got together, it's still a solid and mature relationship while dealing with their own family and career challenges. Very heartwarming. When they first kissed, I think my heart raced the same. So so happy to see them (esp.the ML) finally wanting to be with each other Hope you will enjoy it too! Now I need to go find more of this kind of edited video clip so I can watch without the stress of draggy plots
  14. Me!! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I haven’t been feeling there’s any progress even as early as ep.5. Thus not able to invest in any of the characters yet.
  15. This is so funny! And they are so in sync with each other... the way they both look at the camera with the same expression 😄
  16. Yes yes I did... I do like how it wrapped up. Though I have to say finding men like Dong and Hwang is gonna be so difficult. They were sooooo understanding and accommodating of their girlfriends? Is that even possible? 😄 I especially love Dr. Dong. YWJ really brought out the quirkiness of this character very well.
  17. Yes, I used to think highly of him coz he is a good actor too. But after finding out what he’s done in the past, I have to admit I cannot see him the same. Hopefully he’s truly repented. Yes, he must have felt so helpless that he had to choose this way. I feel sad but I feel disappointed too that he didn’t seek or have enough support from people around him. If I were his wife, I don’t think I can continue living in SK, much less make a living as an actress. I would bring the kids overseas and raise them there peacefully. Not sure what are the repercussions for the family in regards to the money he owed as penalty to various parties. I sure hope she can be stronger. Tbh, this whole thing still feel unreal to me. It’s as if I am watching a drama and when we reached the last episode, everyone will be alright and all smiles 😔 I know for a fact this is real, but just can’t help feeling/wishing I am only watching yet another drama. I think I’m going to cry again when they pay tribute to him during SBS award night. Maybe I shouldn’t watch it this year.
  18. I was thinking the same! I know people who did drugs and have since recovered, not without damages done within their bodies of course. Rapists are the worst!!
  19. @mademoiselle great exposition on the character of Samdal. It's sad that I can understand her more after reading your comment instead of being able to gather from the show itself. I did get from later episodes that she did try to explain to people, but it wasn't that clear to me as viewers, I guess because the only way she was shown "defending" herself was on phone calls. She always got cut off and then just that. That is the terrifying truth and a very sad example Just cannot imagine his mental state through all those times. Someone as big name as him was still feeling so hopeless and helpless that he decided to end it all that way. Sure, just a brief one please...
  20. O gosh 😭😭😭 I feel so sad to hear this news 😭😭😭 Indeed it feels so surreal, because he seemed to me a mature and grounded person that I would’ve never expected him to succumb but to weather the hard times through. I love both of them. I really hope Jeon Hye Jin has a good support system around her during this time.
  21. The ending and epilogue of ep.8 is so heart wrenching. I cannot tell from the preview whether or not Samdal’s mother survived or not. What do you guys think? True this! I hated how they’ve written the FL in the later part of Moon in The Day too 🙄 I think it’s just a reminder to herself how she (or rather her ideas) was “rejected” by Samdal? It’s a symbol of her pride? LOL... I don’t really care and hope not to see this part of the story again. We can just stay on Jeju island for the remaining episodes. 😄 some of my friends recently have been going to beauty clinics and getting some shots done. I have no idea exactly what/how. Personally I ain’t gonna spend that kind of money tbh. And yes, Yong Pil’s father locked himself in his room. I actually think the floral pattern was rather dark and blended in too much with the color of surface of the sea. It’s good to put such a mark but I wished he’d chosen a much brighter color.
  22. Thanks for the review @mademoiselle and @abs-oluteM I started this but put it on hold after 2 episodes because I really cannot stand the character of Samdal. Your reviews made me pick it up again because I do love small town stories. It gets more interesting and I'm up to ep.6 now. But I still don't like how the FL is written. I mean for a person who strived hard and thrived for 18 years, she was brought down too easily. I was forgiving on this because I thought fine, it's something that needs to happen to make her go back to Jeju so that we have our story to watch, but turns out that we're not over that scandal yet. Halfway through ep.6, she drove me nuts again. She bought a ticket to Seoul and her confrontation was just like that?!? I cannot get why it was so important for her to find out whether or not she is the real reason that Eun Joo tried to commit suicide. I mean, she is going to believe whatever that came out of EJ's mouth? That girl could've just lied through her teeth and answered "yes" just out of spite and to see Samdal be guilt-ridden forever, and Samdal is going to give her the opportunity and let her do that?? I cannot reconcile how a successful woman, who worked hard from the bottom, in a big city as Seoul, for 18 years, could be so naive.... #rolleyes. She walked in on a meeting for a confrontation, but at the very crucial moment, she asked everyone to leave the room? So yeah, except for this part about her not using her brain in "defending" herself, I do enjoy the drama. Great acting from everyone.
  23. I agree that this scene was shot smexy-ly I kinda guessed that he would be faced to choose between himself or Do Hee. Not surprised that it's the dad being the mysterious man, although up till the last second before the reveal I was still thinking it could be Seok Hoon. Gosh, I really cannot understand Jin Star at all... #rolleyes... will repeat what Gu Won said to her - don't cross the boundaries...
