  1. For someone who is an investigative reporter, she didn't seem too bright. Why does she keep touching these bodies covered in blood? They are not even people she knows. Apart from that, I would expect abit more from her than be so emotional and shaken when a woman she barely knows accuses her husband of infidelity with zero proof. Even though I know Jang Seung Jo's character is set up to be the suspect and possibly lead a double life, it is strange that she would doubt him so quickly especially given how lovey dovey they were before this.

Anyway, the 1st episode was just alright for me but I will keep watching since both my oppas here.

Love love love the ending scene. That whole conversation was just great. At that moment, both were back to being honest with their feelings/thoughts and communicating.

Obviously I feel emotional again on rewatch of the baby scene. The contrast of how happy Hyun Woo was when he found out the news vs present time.

I thought about how things could have become the way it did and I think the way HaeIn first reacted gave a clue to how things may have spiraled when they lost their baby. Just like how she would put up this defensive wall now about how she's not a patient , that she'll defy death, she likely put up those same walls when they lost their baby. The lost of a child can make or break a marriage - I would really like a bit more insight to what transpired then and how they dealt with it.

@UnniSara I think Hyun Woo is feeling conflicted about what his true feelings are. The initial news of her diagnosis was met with relief because it felt like a way out for his own misery. But as the episodes unfold , I like that we could see he does care. And that it bothered him when someone else took an interest in her. There's a lot of grief and bitterness that has been piled up that clearly needs addressing.

@ktcjdrama @40somethingahjumma I am just glad that ParkSungHoon is not just playing the 2nd ML who isn't going to get the girl. If he's going to play second fiddle here, let him be an interesting character. At least from the 4 episodes , he's gonna be a deliciously handsome and scheming love interest. Though I am not even sure if he has any genuine feelings for HaeIn...it just feels like he wants to take over Queens.

The blessing from the daughter is so smooth sailing, I'm not sure it should be this way...

I think it's okay...I come from parents who have separated too. Even at a young age, I was okay for my parents to find their own happiness. What makes all the difference is that DaeYoung has always been a good father who does his best, so I'd like to think she was raised well and would not feel insecure even if father finds a companion.

I watched the finale ! I love that they took time to address HN's depression and how she handled disappointments going forward. Main message of the show is that life is a mixed bag. It can't always be happy days but the dark clouds will pass too. The key thing is acceptance and perseverance; counting those little blessings help too. The wrap up for everyone was good even the most insignificant characters got a bit of screen time about how life would go on. The tone was indeed hopeful.

I am definitely gonna add this show to my favourite list! :hearties:

  4. Cause my favourite Doc Slump is ending tonight, glad that I have this drama as it is an excellent replacement. I lol-ed so hard in Eps 2. After watching eps 2 , I actually feel for HaeIn. I just think she is who she is because she's got to prove herself over and over about how she's good enough. The way her mother blames her for her sibling's death is likely the reason why there is a rift between them.  Anyhow, despite his initial glee over her diagnosis, it didn't take long for them to show that there are still some feelings on his part. Jealousy is always a good catalyst to bring up those emotions.

So it does look like my oppa love, Park Sung Hoon will be part of a love triangle ? . He is so suave here and I love that he says all these lines with double meaning. I do look forward to see how it all goes down between Hyun Woo and him; it's spicy ! . I don't have SLS though...I am still rooting for the leads to truly rekindle their love.

This spoiler from eps 4 broke my heart...

    Spoiler

think this may have been the reason why the marriage became as rocky as it did. The loss of a child can really make or break a marriage

  5. Yet to back read but just wanna say I enjoyed the first episode. Everything is kind of over the top but it is the charm of such chaebol dramas. Plus I think the leads are playing their characters so well. I love Kim Ji Won playing the ice queen here - nice to have this role reversal where she's the tsundere. It reminds me of her role in Descendants of the Sun. And KSH has good comic timing and still handsome while crying . How his expression changed when he found out she was dying. I know it's a bit cruel but I really felt for his character and how suffocated it must be to be part of such a crazy family.

  6. I am glad that in episode 6, JiHan has finally come to his senses ...as in he's not doing silly things to break-up this "marriage". I like that he recognised his feelings for AhJong but has put a reign on it given that he doesn't know it is fake. I think that is important since it shows growth on his part. Now it is possible to see her with him.

So very strangely, I actually find that JiHan has good chemistry with ChaeWon. For the first time in a long time, the 2nd FL in a love triangle is not some annoying one dimensional character - in fact I like ChaeWon for being decisive and upfront. I like that she told her feelings to JH and made it clear why she was supporting the shopping mall. I know they won't be the end game , but if JH hadn't had feelings for AJ, I would have shipped him with CW.

  7. Eps 15 was so good...I was worried that time would pass slowly but I love how everything fell into place. Highlight include DaeYoung's confession to Hong Ran ( especially sweet that the advice came from his daughter)  , and them officially sealing the deal. Of course not to forget our main pair's most hilarious proposal after several tries.
Can't believe it's the finale tonight - has been such a pleasure watching it every week.

    Secrets Of The Shadow Sect

The short drama is very good...

Thanks to your recommendation , I checked this out and watch all available episodes! This is indeed good and oh my there's a lot of sizzling tension between the leads! I love these 10 minute episodes - story telling very effective and better than some long drawn out ones.

watched the first two episodes and I liked it so far. Although Im not a fan of the body swap plot.

The main leads are a good investigation team and they are also intriguing characters.

I am also not a fan of body swap plots though there are so many around. Somehow I clicked on the trailer and was hooked. Have caught 6 episodes and so far so good. Lot of mix comments out there about JJY but I think she's doing well here both before and after the swap. The ML - Lin Xue Yi is someone I am watching for the first time , and he's very suited for the role here.

That kiss was so not needed, coz now it puts himself in jeorpady.

So dumb right? I am like TaeO should know better than to act emotionally especially when he knows that he can be easily dispensable. The fact that they didn't want to investigate when he got assaulted should have been a reminder to him to play his cards even more carefully. But anyhow he is human and I think he's is bound to make mistakes though I hate that it was over a woman :psweatduck:.

Errr... did In Ha send Hye Won's mother deliberately to make her feel desperate again so that Hye Won would go back to him?! I feel like rather than being used by Tae Oh or Hye Won, In Ha himself is also counter-using Tae Oh and scheming to make Hye Won stay with him.

I am glad in a twisted way on my part  that InHa is not so dumb. LOL...I would be very upset if LeeJunYoung took up a one dimensional role where he is the only one being used. I like that he has a complex relationship with TaeO. In eps 6 TaeO should know that InHa isn't so easy to reign in. InHa on the other hand hates that HyeWon's heart is with TaeO but he needs TaeO.

I read comments online that TaeO being framed & in jail has to do with InHa but then again I think that we have overlooked an important person that has been very quiet and that is  2nd son Kang Seung Jo. He may very well have something to do with this.

Ooooh how come you don't like CWS? I think he picks decent projects though he's not adopted by me. I think he tends to have a typecast/ fallback character of being a deadbeat/ slacker type of guy

I don't dislike him ...I even like him in Our Beloved Summer (and I will watch his next drama) but he's not my oppa list unlike SSK whom I adore

Some trailers  LGX looks kind of different in this somehow.
TBH this is not my favorite genre but I will just watch this for him.

I really want to like this drama, thinking that it'll be fun, but it's... surprisingly, NOT. Someone please tell me why am I not being charmed by Moon Sang Min like he charmed me in Under the Queen's Umbrella? Whyyyy? 😭

That said I'm going to keep watching because now Ji Han has realised his feelings for Ah Jung.

It is the writing. Technically, JiHan doesn't know that DoHan and AhJung are not in love. But for his own agenda, he keeps trying to separate them and even to the point where he thinks "stealing" her is the best solution for this. For me that is a line that should not be crossed even if this was meant to give the leads ample opportunity for  interactions. It makes it hard to root for him since he's just willing to do anything to get the project going & to have their side inherit LJ. Of course he'll come to regret it but I feel he has zero consideration for what his brother wants. I am guessing that the writer is going to give him some character development but it really needs to come sooner. After 5 episodes it is no longer charming to see him behaving so like a child.

Last night's episode made me wish AhJung can run away from all this. Considering the story that will be written by that bad reporter, her reputation is going to go down the drain. Like how will she come back to act? I am assuming she still wants to. It looks like it is going to be a hot mess what with Chae Won making a deal with grandpa in exchange for JiHan. Let's see how entangled this will get. :PsyWhat:

Haven’t finished watching this week’s episodes yet - still have episode 14 to go. But while we‘re on the topic of doctors, sort of, has anyone seen the news on junior doctor strikes in S. Korea?

Yes. And I don't know if I fully agree with  the strike. They aren't happy that the government wants to have more doctors - making applications easier. Citizens don't mind - more doctors. But the existing docs seem to want to protect the profession.

@peperomia @mademoiselle I love that we had some JW centric episodes. I always wondered what it was like for him; he may have very successful parents but they are just so so awful - the mum especially. Kyung Min is responsible for the choices he made but I did feel sorry for him and I like to think he genuinely cared for JW. It was like a love-hate sort of relationship. Hence I can understand how hard it was for JW - how conflicted he must have felt. Plenty of tears from me too.

And please let this be the drama where Yoon Park finally gets the girl. I love how things are coming along even if things seem somewhat complicate with his nurse in the picture. But our single parents here like each other so please let's have this work out.
