  1. About to watch eps 14 but the one thing that Hanuel said to JW in eps 13 which really resonated with me was that it was okay for him not to forgive KyungMin ...at least not at that point. She mentioned that he needed to process his emotions and not suppress his feelings. I cannot agree more. JW has always taken everything in his stride and and didn't let things faze him but I feel that is just a mask for how he feels. Glad we had a very JW centric episode.

Nah, I wasn't asking if Tofu is in dilemma about Jun vs Jae Wook. I was asking if she's rather he plays villain instead of a lonely character. LOL. He's probably is just like how Jae Wook teases him—likes to do the total opposite of what others do i.e. the norm. Not a bad thing. Just need to be careful not to be typecast.

@ssteph Have you watched My Name is Loh Kiwan? I tried to last night but it's too depressing, so I read spoiler and jumped to the end. 😅

hahaha does Jun always play the villain or loney characer @Tofu? I've never seen any of his past works, but your boy is growing on me. He's kind of cute .

Tofu is on vacation so I will chime in here. Jun has played a myriad of characters. But plenty which are lonely and angsty. Even as a romantic ML, he's always misunderstood .  I like him and started following his career since I saw him in Good Casting (2020). Managed to watch quite a bit of his filmography and find him a talented actor.

It bugs me that till now that love starved InHa is being used here, and he just doesn't see it. But how can he when both Hye Won and TaeOh tells him exactly what he needs to hear each time. Hye Won marrying him for the power that it will bring her. TaeOh - wants something but it isn't clear what ( I don't believe for a moment that TaeO is merely doing any of this for InHa's benefit.)  But I cut TaeO abit of slack since he made it clear from the start to InHa that this is mutual benefit sort of relationship. Perhaps I am harder on HyeWon because she is using his affections for her.

On my TL, it doesn't seem that anyone wants Hye Won to end up with either guy. . I think it's how her character has been written and it doesn't help the actress ( pretty as she is) seems to have zero chemistry with either male leads. Yes, it seems to that people are rooting for Hee Joo and TaeO ...but hmmm I think she'll need to grow up before I can root for it. Anyway , this isn't really the sort of drama that I would see a happy ending. Just let my InHa survive - cuz I have a bad feeling that's him lying there dead in eps 1.

That said...I am enjoying this typical makjang fare of birth secrets, chaebol infighting and scheming. It really helps having eye candies like LeeJaeWook & Jun play the MLs.

    I enjoyed episode 4 a lot more than 3.

Oh that's good. I was struggling with the plot development for episode 3. Though it is the only logical choice that he would go after her and steal her heart ( and this makes a perfect rom-com setting), still it felt like he has crossed the line for doing that. It is fortunate that MXM with his pretty face card :D is playing this. Otherwise it would have been hard to root for this pairing. There are moments of sweetness to JiHan where you know deep down he isn't a jerk but right now he's behaving like one for  sure, and I would want Ah Jeong to run from this entire family.
    Anyway I will keep watching.

But I feel like her character is going to be annoying. I'm not a fan of these 'I like one guy but have to be with another guy' type scenarios. But I suppose deperation will make you do anything :idk: Anyway, watching a rocky frienship getting fractured by a girl is going to have is moments. I hope she's not the cause of the openning scene with LJW seeming killing people!

Same here. Unfortunately because of the way her character was depicted in the first two episodes, I find it hard to empathise with her. How I see it is that her character could be the catalyst to the partnership going south but not necessarily the ultimate reason why the two guys ended up betraying each other. InHa is being used here

He is smart and he saw that Taeo likes the girl.

Yes. Exactly ...and he still went for it. Which annoyed me. Does he think he could genuinely make her like him? She was clever though...she kind of played her cards right too.

I think the thing I love about this series is that it's cute and silly, but also quite realistic in the way it shows things like depression/ having slumps, getting into relationships and dealing with family. It was so cute to see them dating and trying really hard to understand and respect each other, but also fail miserably because they were trying so hard

Agreed. This is on of the reasons why this show is such a good watch. I rarely see pairings like that in kdrama land. Especially when the tsundere ML seems to be the archetype in for rom-coms. JW is a breath of fresh air.

I forgot to mention, the beginning of episode 11 was too sweet! If I wasn't eating my savoury lunch, I would have needed to visit a dentist from toothache. That was too over the top 😅

hahahah...I didn't mind because there was still this competitive undercurrent between them when they bickered later on. I am glad that there's still some consistency with their characters.

I had fun watching Dae Young receiving help from Hong Ran regarding his daughter. I hope the drama give some more time to develop Dae Young and Hong Ran's love line because their relationship and their relationship with their children were a lot more interesting.

Me too....I love that their starting point of becoming friends is because of their kids. It's a good common ground. But can Dae Young please just ask Hong Ran out for a drink or meal , already?

I am not too hot about the preview with Haneul confronting Kyung Min on her own. It felt a bit darker than I expected.

@SilverMoonTea are you watching this ? What episode are you at?

OMG, these two! :lmao2:  Dae Young is so petty. And both are so childish.

This was hilarious! I am about to watch last night's but I ended up seeing this pre-release on my feed.

hat said, it was great to learn about Jeong Woo's family. Although it deserves more screen time/backstory, but I also do like that the story was told by Jeong Woo himself. T

Oh good. I was waiting for this...not enough of JW's background before this.

Actress Jeon Jung Seo is getting a lot of praises for her acting here. What do you think, @abs-oluteM?

I like her . Have watched a few of her stuff including her breakout movie Burning with Yoo Ah In. She’s a natural actress.

oh side track ..,her RL boyfriend who’s a director is also handsome 🤣🤣

  9. @mademoiselle I watched last night but was too tired to comment. Hmmm I don't know if I am truly invested as well.

For me the two brothers are bad news, lol! How much trouble they have both given her. I think when she finally gave in & called DoHan, she has pretty much given up. What JiHan did definitely spoiled her reputation in this industry which can be terribly unforgiving. I was angry on her behalf.  DoHan's character also felt very distant in episode 2, that he felt like a different person in this episode.

So far the most likeable character here is actually Ah Jeong.

Didn't expect the 5 years jump. I don't mind it because it was getting a bit slow for me the entanglement between the 3 leads. Though I'd like to know how In Ha got to work in the centre. I hope at least next week they would "quickly" give us a run through on that.

Should get more interesting next week from this preview

Anyway....Jun is very handsome in the promos for Impossible Heir. I am so happy his character is less villain-like. Haha!

He is. He has my heart ....even in the first 2 episodes, I am feeling most sorry for him.

I haven't watched episode 2 yet. 1 hour long episode 1 was a bit much for me last night. Will see if tonight I've energy to continue. Otherwise, it's a TGIF homework. LOL.

I caught both episodes. InHa's agyeo cracked me up.

So I think it's clear from the start (and TaeO made that clear too) that it's a partnership ( rather than a friendship) between them. But I think for InHa he genuinely sees TaeO as a friend and a brother. What I can't tell at the moment is how TaeO feels about InHa. I know he refuses to cross the line to help HyeWon "get him", so I am assuming that is because they have been working together so long that there is some genuine feelings of concern there. TaeO tends to hold everything very closely to his heart, but one sure thing is  that he is keeping focused on his plan to reach the top. That seems clear when he gave HyeWon up, because it will be a conflict to his plans for InHa. Though, it is kind of written on the wall that she'll become that torn in their relationship ( TaeO- InHa).

Anyway the start of episode 1 is hinting at a very tragic end to all this because it seems that Tae O may have killed InHa (assuming that is InHa lying there). I am feeling a little sorry for InHa to be honest. That guy just wants to be loved and accepted by his family. The only one who cares for him is the sister.
