How's this so far? I like LJW, so I reckon I'm gonna give this one a shot.

  3. @gilaswan I am expecting plenty of tropes for this show - I think we probably could write the script.  As long the plot has more substance than King The Land , I am on board.  That said by the end of eps 1 , I found it quite enjoyable and it is a contract marriage drama with a twist. The leads start off the usual bickering way - the chemistry is not bad. Strangely I like the chemistry she has with the older brother - something quite sweet about their interactions as best friends.

Ji Han is ambitious and is all out to prove himself and work for it, even if he is not the chosen one. It's a nice twist from the usual MLs who are usually reluctant heirs to the throne. Do Han, the chosen one for whatever reason, would have been the ML in another drama had he not been gay. @mademoiselle I am looking forward too why grandad doesn't want JH to helm the company.

  4. @mademoiselle my second question to@JenL too is  how she feels ! 🤣🤣. My TL is just filled with their dating news . I have no idea who she is though I have heard of the group. They look pretty good together. But I guess a lot of JaeWook ships must be feeling the burn .

  5. @mademoiselle @peperomia So far this drama has not disappointed me. It doesn't take long for the characters to communicate and try and sort out their feelings/ issues. One of those old school tropes I hate is when the show rides on some stupid misunderstanding for the longest time to keep the story going.

@Mizv I think you will love this show. @gilaswan @ktcjdrama are you watching this?

Actually Hong Ran is a real blabber mouth but I lol-ed when even she said so herself. Thanks to her though a lot of misunderstandings get solved. Fortunately her character isn't just written to be the messenger between the leads , and that she has her own love line. I like how they are developing things first between Doctor Origami and her son. For single parents, when you date again there are so many things to consider as the person who dates you has to get along with your kid too.

  6. I was rather annoyed with her mother for agreeing to the blind date. But I know she was trying to help. It was fortunate that uncle helped to mediate the situation, and that mum too was half-hearted about the whole arrangement. The mother-daughter heart to heart made me shed some tears. I think this could very well be one of my favourite roles of Park Shin Hye - somehow I feel this sincerity coming through in her acting that was a bit lacking in previous roles that I have seen her in.

The ending made me happy ...it was what we had been expecting for them to work together.

    Looking forward to eps 10

Not sure why there is a blind date involved when she herself says she's not in the condition to date..? 😕

My exact thoughts....like that doesn't make sense. I just hope the drama is trolling us. I don't mind some angst & conflict too like what @peperomia said. As long as they can both sort out their personal issues. The pre-released was very funny thanks to Park Hyung Sik's excellent comic timing. It was also sweet because he tells her he will wait for her.

On my TL, people seem to be watching the actor who's playing Jiang Yang's drama.

Which drama is this? I have been busy binging on WYX's drama that I haven't checked my TL. This First Love can be so nonsensical and OTT at times, typical of all the idol type c-rom coms. But I ended up liking the pairing - at least they were funny and pretty adorable. It wasn't too cringey too like AASOL. I keep thinking Wang Ying Xue is really so handsome and he's just 22 .

@rocher22What is Xiao Zhan's next project?

think I have a little bit of crush on Wang Xing Yue who played Meng Xiao Dong in the Snowstorm show (he was FL's brother) . But oh man , this ge-ge or more like di-di is just 21 ...though I swear he gives off an older vibe.

I think this little crush has become rather strong. I finished Scent of Time , and though the plot development towards the end threw me off, WXY really has this presence to him (especially in historical shows)  and I loved him in it. I am even trying to check out some of his other works.

But oooo I am just waiting for this new drama called The Double with Wu Jin Yan. Looks promising.

His wife Cheon Da Hye, who is elegant and has the exact opposite personality from her sister-in-law Hong Hae In, is the only person who makes Hong Soo Chul feel worthy and proud of himself. As a wise wife, she always laughs at Hong Soo Chul’s silly jokes, garnering affection from the seniors in Queens Group.

Well she seems like a nicer person here. Oooo or is it all an act since her hubby will have to contend with super smart sis to inherit the business?

The show is watchable until the last couple of episodes. The last episode in particular makes me wish that I hadn't watched the show. If the show was going to go down the road, it should have changed course sooner. But I did like it for the leads.

Yes, agreed. So annoyed with how rushed the last episode was given that this ending wasn't an afterthought; it was constantly hinted at throughout given how she always smelled some incense. I was disappointed with how things played out between them in the last few episodes. But I think if they ended at eps 29 , I would still find it an acceptable realistic ending. Kind of ridiculous to throw in eps 30 - makes no sense.

Anyhow, he's a pretty good actor for his age and I will try to check this one out. 1.5 speed will be my friend at irrelevant episodes . I just started this silly idol type youth drama where he was the ML and lets see how long I last!

@NiteWalker Hahahah...you are here for Meng Xiao Dong too. I wished he had more development there.

Oooh... is he in that? Oooh... I have to get to it ASAP.

He is barely in Kunning Palace for the first 10 episodes (mostly in flashbacks) and then he's in it a fair bit for the next 10 and then is hardly in it afterwards.

This is one of the rare occasions that I suffer from 2ML syndrome.

In Scent of Time, he is supposedly the male lead but we don't get many of the leads' interactions given the complicated relationship they have . And if I hadn't read spoilers, I would be wondering who the ML is since this is one of those reverse harem shows (like this one). But whatever scenes they have together is pretty electrifying ( at least for me ). He falls first, and does a lot for her without her knowledge. There are plenty of conflicted opinions about this drama especially its ending, who she should have been with etc but I love it so far ( am at 23 out of 30 episodes) . The story is very much about her - one of those redemption type stories, and fortunately I really like the FL. She is intelligent but conniving and a little sly- she understands how to play her cards well ( am a sucker for such heroines) .

    Spoiler

She is his "sister-in-law" for a good half of the show
