@SilverMoonTea Ya real life took me away haha too busy... getting married and a new house within the next few months so a lot of planning to be done! I haven’t been watching any dramas recently this year, just some animes and like 1 or 2 netflix shows.

@abs-oluteM I fast-forwarded a lot of scenes in ep 2... especially the crying scenes with the FL (got to admit I don’t know who she is so I didn’t feel anything when it came to her🙈)

Only watching for SJS so I hope there will be improvement in the next episodes!

Me too, didn’t know he got married 😂 I just found out last week while scrolling Disney plus that he has a new drama too... gave ep 1 a try but till now not yet finished the ep lol.

My other old oppa So Ji Sub also has a new drama on D+... seems like all these D+ kdramas are flying under the radar?

Also, Park Hae Soo is playing ‘Berlin’, who’s (I think) a fan favourite in the original La Casa De Papel. I have high expectations for this character again in this remake! Crossing my fingers and hoping the series will be good.
 

I remember binging the first 2 seasons on Netflix before finding out Season 3 was in the works. I rarely watch foreign shows (European) and LCDP was an eye opener for me. 
@JenL Give the show a try if you have the time - it’s good! FYI on Netflix, they split the original season 1 (Spanish broadcast) into Seasons 1&2, so at least watch the first 2 seasons to finish the original story. 

Thank you Netflix for the friday release date... I’ll probably be binging this straight after work!

So glad they created a new spin on the reason for the heist to keep the story somewhat different instead of simply a remake!

Yeah I’ve seen the trailers! Do agree it looks like there will be some angst. I’m thinking it looks like a mix of romance/friendship/slice of life, so I am expecting some parts to be angsty...

Many of the kids in my classes have been getting their vaccination as well... most of them told me they didn’t experience any side effects too so that’s a really good thing to hear!

My doctor just prescribed normal fever/pain medicine and cough syrup for me. The med he prescribe did work better than the Panadol I had taken before going to him though haha. I think ultimately our own body has to overcome the virus by itself😅

@abs-oluteM I had a fever for 2 days over the weekend, just left with a cough now. Have not gone for my booster - was intending to go next week but guess I don’t have to now😅 I’m actually more stressed about missing work for a week!

Cases here seem to be peaking now (we’re having 10,000+ cases a day). Fortunately most are mild cases according to the news. A lot of younger kids seem to be getting it too.

I will be spending the rest of the Lunar New Year in isolation... finally my turn to get Covid after many of my relatives and others I know of getting it. 3 out of 5 in my family are currently down so we’re isolating in one bedroom at home lol. Agree with @Chocolate, the character Berlin seems to come across as a psycho sometimes, but he’s overall a very interesting character and does need an actor with serious acting chops.

Here from 6:30-7:00, PHS hinted that his version of Berlin might be slightly different? (Or that his portrayal might be different.)

I have only seen him in Prison Playbook and Squid Game before, and I guess I can see him playing both good/bad characters 😆

@Chocolate Seasons 1&2 were my favourite as well. S3 was still pretty good, 4 and 5 were a little ‘eh’. Still binged them when they came out though haha.

I wonder how similar the korean version will be to the original. Very curious how they will adapt it to suit the korean backdrop and culture...

@abs-oluteM Sometimes it’s nice to be going in blind. So the parts that are meant to shock you will really give you a shock! Since I have the original version to compare it to, I’m crossing my fingers that I won’t be let down! Cos sometimes remakes can be err... not very good lol. So I need to temper my expectations a bit. Though the solid cast makes it hard for me to not be excited😂

Whooooo! Came on here to see if there’s a thread for this. Been anticipating the release ever since it was announced there is gonna be a korean remake.

I loved the first 2 seasons of LCDP (before it was bought over by Netflix), and I’m hoping this remake will be able to live up to expectations. So looking forward! 

And one thing I’m noticing from the teaser just posted today is that the top billing / focus seems to be on the Professor and the female officer characters, instead of Tokyo (unlike the Spanish version). I’m not complaining though cos my fave characters from the original are Prof and Berlin😍
