It might be a miracle for a man and a woman who have lived in different worlds to start a family through marriage. In particular, for young people these days, where individual self-actualization is more important than a sense of responsibility as a member of society, divorce is becoming something that is uncontrollable. However... the parents who lived in the previous era cannot understand the lives of their children. This is because in their days, marriage was a sacred and unbreakable thing that is protected by endurance and responsibility.

For parents, the family comes first, but for children, the individual comes first. For parents, a good reason is important, but for children, their own happiness is important. Parents' hearts break because of their children’s divorce. This drama aims to show how everyone completes their search for happiness through the gap between parents and children and for the younger generation who is going through the crisis of divorce.

Characters introduction and their background stories:

Song Young Dal and Jang Ok Boon have married for many years and they have 4 children, Song Joon Seon, Song Ga Hee, Song Na Hee and Song Da Hee (1 son and 3 daughters). Together with Ok Boon’s sister Ok Ja, they work in a fried chicken restaurant in Yong Ju traditional market, owned by the couple.

Song Young Dal is the chairman of the merchant association. Young Dal is quite strict about money, even with his own children, and he has his reasons. When he was young, he was poor and lost his mother because of illness. Taking care of himself and his younger sister wasn’t easy, so he decided to send away his sister to a better place. But, one day when he looked for her, he heard shocking news that his sister was sick and passed away. Until now he always blamed himself.

Ok Boon might have grumbled about Young Dal's strictness about money, but she understood because she knew about his past. Ok Boon only has a simple wish for her children, for them to live well and happily with their own family. She had never imagined the day when her eldest son and daughter came to her house bringing their belongings (and son in her daughter's case) and announced that they have gotten a divorce and will move back in to live with her. While she thought she could move on from that pain by celebrating her youngest's wedding, on that same night, her youngest comes back home saying that she wished to annul her marriage. Now her only hope is her second daughter...

The eldest, Joon Seon works as a stunt-man, a job that he likes and passionate for. He is married to Hyun Kyung, and they have 2 daughters. Joon Seon is too kind to others and often forgets that he is the head of his family. He tried to open a business but it failed. He even got scammed by his junior who borrowed money from him and caused him to lose his house. Working as a stunt-man with dangerous actions makes him hurt his body and even break his bones. Tired of not being the priority in Joon Seon's life, and not wanting to hate him any longer, Hyun Kyung asked him for a divorce. Joon Seon actually still loves Hyun Kyung and wants to give her proof that he can change and learn from his mistake. But, he also loves his job as a stuntman...

The eldest daughter, Song Ga Hee used to work as flight attendant. She's married to a pilot and together they have a son. She retired and now she is just a housewife. One day she caught her husband cheating on her red-handed with her junior stewardess. She immediately asked for a divorce and moved back to her parents' house with her son. It happened in the same year as Joon Seon's divorce. She has been living with the money from the child support that is provided by her ex-husband, however, she can’t live forever by only depending on that money. She needs to find something to do, and at the very least she need to do everything for her son Ji Hoon's sake.

The second daughter Song Na Hee is a pediatrician. She is the pride of her family, especially for her mother. She works in a children hospital. She's married to Yoon Gyu Jin, a pediatrician who also works in the same hospital as her. They were a campus couple during their medical school days. To others, Na Hee and Gyu Jin might look great and happy as a couple, but actually their married life isn't doing very well. They constantly argue with each other over every small detail. Also, the constant nagging from Yoon Jung, Gyu Jin’s mother (who also happened a high school mate of Ok Boon), about Na Hee's character that didn't suit her view, and the neutral stance that Gyu Jin took between his mother and wife only widened the gap between the couple and made them almost become strangers. Adding a miscarriage that happened 1.5 years ago to that, Na Hee and Gyu Jin almost never share smiles and laugh together anymore. Na Hee made up her mind. For her and also for Gyu Jin's happiness, they have to separate. Gyu Jin actually wanted to try to save his marriage but seeing the determined look in Na Hee’s eyes and realizing that they almost never shared smiles towards each other anymore, he agreed. Maybe with this divorce, they can find their own happiness again. There’s only one big problem left. How do they tell the elders about their decision?

And lastly the youngest is Song Da Hee. She's an intern at a travel company. Being the youngest of 4 siblings, she's kind of shy and finds it hard to say no or show her objections, which make others look down on her. She had been dating with her boyfriend for a while and they decided to get married. Her boyfriend had studied to become a civil servant and finally passed the exam. Da Hee was swamped with work even to just before the day of her wedding. On her wedding night, she found out that her husband of less than a day had been cheating on her with his colleague and that it had been happening for a while behind her back. Da Hee immediately left the hotel but not before getting hurt by her ex's comment. She went back to her parents' house and announced that her marriage is annulled. She also quit her intern job because she’s tired of being a pushover and wanted to start anew. She vowed she won’t get married anymore and will just focus on pursuing her dream. She started it with befriending her brother-in-law Yoon Jae Seok who unfortunately had witnessed her at her lowest. Funnily enough, she keeps meeting him and Jae Seok starts to get involved more and more in Da Hee’s life.

Reviews with spoilers:

Once Again or the literal translations of Korean title (한 번 다녀왔습니다) ‘I have been there once’ refers to someone who has gotten a divorce. You might find one or two characters who have had a divorce in a drama, but in here, you get 4 characters who have had a divorce and came from the same family, and in fact, they are siblings! You might find that it’s a weird drama because it seems all the siblings had gotten divorces and moved back to their parents’ house. It’s unusual and strange, that’s true, but I feel that is something that would be possible to happen. 

What are the reasons I watch the drama?

• The drama teaser. We’re shown that the siblings are giving their divorce papers to their parents, one after another. It looks funny. And another teaser, the main couple Na Hee and Gyu Jin who are preparing themselves to break the news to their respective mothers. Both seems to hesitate because they know their mothers well, and so pretend that they are still happy as couple. I predicted a reconciliation in the future because the broken heart becomes one again at the end of the teaser.

• The casts. The lead casts are all actors who are already well-known for their acting quality. The chemistry and the realistic acting immersed me in the drama. Together with them, I laugh, feel sad and happy as if I’m a part of the drama itself and not only as a viewer.
• The story. The plot in the early episodes are quite fast and entertaining so that it made me forget that I’ve been watching for about 70 minutes and couldn’t wait for the next episodes. But I also admit that somewhere in the middle, I felt there are some unnecessary plots for the supporting characters, and it would be better to give the screen time for the lead characters stories. However, that is the charm of family drama that can’t be taken out, I guess. After all every characters deserve to have their time to shine and their development (100 episodes, everyone).

For those who are not familiar or never watched Korean weekend-family drama before might find it confusing and overwhelmed. It has several main characters and lots of supporting characters. We have so many problems that happen at the same time or find that a solution of that problem is unsatisfactory. But that’s all part of the charm of family dramas.

Things that I love from the drama:

• The pairings/couples

Personally, I love the chemistry between the couples: Na He – Gyu Jin, Da Hee – Jae Seok, and Ok Boon – Young Dal. Both members of each couple have different personalities, different characteristics but together they balance each other. Together, they can grow to become better people.

• The friendship/brother-ship/siblings-ship

The Song siblings might have quarreled with each other or have a siblings fight, but they are always there for their siblings. If other people point their fingers at one of them, the siblings will act fast to protect and show their unity. That includes facing their parents' wrath, which they also endure together. 
The Yoon Brothers are just one of my favorites. If they had not been doctors, I would have thought that they were comedians because of their antics. Just like the Song siblings, the Yoon brothers would constantly argue over every little thing, but in the end they are there for each other in both happy and sad days.

• The frenemies between Ok Boon and Yoon Jeong. 

They were schoolmates in high school and would often argue with each other. They never imagined that their children would fall in love with each other and thus they would become in-laws. When they found out about Na Hee and Gyu Jin's divorce, the relationship between them became worse and even had a hair-pulling fight in the public. But despite all the fighting, they will still be there for each other when they need someone.

• A great story of how or why two people fell out of love and fell in love with each other at the same time. Every episode has twists, turns and revelations.
• Uplifting stories that are close to common people’s lives. It also has different and varying stories about many kinds of couples.
• Family and love. It gives out diverse emotions and messages about life.

Things that I can learn from the drama:

• The meaning of family and the bittersweet reality of marriage.

From the drama I learned more about the family dynamics. Generation gaps between parents and the children are always there. What the parents faced when they’re younger can not always be applied for their children because the era has changed. Both parents and children need to be more understanding and think calmly from each other points of view. Of course, parents want the best for their children but they can’t always force what they want and wish for the children. And the children too, they can’t just selfishly think about themselves and ignore their parents' feelings. Parents always want something good for their children, but sometimes the way the parents express that might not always be in the right way for us to understand. Maintaining good communication and heart-to-heart talks can be one of the ways to decrease the gap between parents and their children.

• The up and down in marriage life.

Sometimes there are happy days, sometimes there are sad days, too. Your partner can be the source of your happiness, but also can be the one who makes you upset for many days. Good and clear communication is one of the important things that every couple needs. You can’t expect your partner to know what is in your mind or what you are feeling when you don’t express them. If you are not good with the way you talk, you can express it with your gestures. And marriage is not only between two people, but sometimes it’s also between the two families. You can’t just expect your partner to immediately match his/her way to your family tradition or habits. When there’s a rift or argument, you can act as the guide for both parties so that you can reach an understanding.

• It’s not too late to start a new path or to fulfill the dream job that you have been dreaming of. Success doesn’t look at your age, it’s all about your effort and determination. Enjoy the process and don’t give up even you’re facing a problem. Your hard work will give you a sweet result in the end.

Cast/Acting: 9/10
Production Value(aesthetics/OST/cinematography): 6.5/10 (a little bit low because the shoot mostly done inside a filming set. The OST is ok, one of the actors (Lee Sang Yi) took part in the OST)

Re-watch Value: 6/10 (I give this a low score because I know the episodes are quite long and might be too much to repeat every episodes. But, several scenes are memorable and funny and those can be re-watched several times without making you feel bored)

Recommend to Watch? 

Yes! To any of you who like the family drama genre, this is one that you have to give it a try. From family love, comedic actions, sweet couple interactions, life lessons, this drama have all of that for you to discover.

When I thought Seok Oh Won might be the villain, from ep 5 and 6 showed that he's not (yet). Jin Kyeom's mother reached out to him to solve the book problem and to prevent the things written in the book to not happen. And then Jin Kyeom's mom not even shocked when she found Jin Kyeom has time traveled on the day of her death. She could activate the time card but not Jin Kyeom. Is it activated with finger print or what? 

The scarf. I noticed in ep 1 (in the past) that scarf was lying untouched when the past Jin Kyeom running down the stairs when he's trying to find his mother. But how come it still laid in there if the future Jin Kyeom has taken it with him after his chase with past Seok Oh Won?

I've stayed by your side for a moment, Goodbye Ahn Chi Hong

Summary with rough translations

Video started with the making scenes when Chi Hong is talking with ER Nurse about the patient who wants to leave the hospital even when in bad condition (forgot the exact episode). Kim Jun Han said his lines too serious.
Shin PD: Wait! The drama will be in mess~ We will start again with a comic (comedic) version. Okay Cue! (and KJH executed his act with a more funny expression than before)

Aug 16 2019, First meeting with Kim Jun Han.
Shin PD asked where KJH military base when he was doing his military duty. (This first question since Chi Hong is graduated from military academy (even though it's doesn't really have any meaning)). KJH served in YangYang, Gangwon Province. He was in Engineering Corps and act as the administration for the military transportation. (His real life military is very different from Captain Ahn Chi Hong)
The reason why Shin PD asked for a meeting with him, Shin is wondering what if KJH played a different role from his previous one (Spring Night, MBC). In his previous drama, he play a character that is... a little bit a loser (KJH laughed while admitted it). Shin PD said he did it so well that his character probably got a lot of curse from the viewers.

When Shin PD look from several of his filmography, other than Prison Playbook, most of the characters that he played so far are characters with a loser personality (Shin PD recently watch his work Sunset in My Hometown) and Shin PD thought maybe KJH somehow like to play that kind of character. KJH admitted it shyly. Shin PD mentioned another film of his (Anarchist from Colony) which in there his character also give a slight feeling of a loser. KJH then explained that actually he's thinking that he shouldn't really portray his character like a real man but the opposite of it, maybe a little bit cool. Shin PD joked that rather than looking cool he portrayed another side. KJH said he only acted as what the script says but maybe there's a loser side that come out when he acted. Shin PD said it was his charm and quite fun. 
They are talking about his character in Prison Playbook. He appeared only for a short time. His character was a little bit mean but it also suited him well. Shin PD even wondered if KJH true personality is like that since he did it almost like a natural. (We're shown short scenes of Prison Playbook where KJH appeared)
Shin PD felt that after Spring Night, KJH will get many offers soon (KJH asked his manager whether it's true or not) and Shin PD felt that he will be good for playing as a character he has in mind. KJH hesitated whether he can do well and Shin PD said that's why he asked for a meeting with him. Before they rehearse ACH lines, Shin PD wants him to read several characters first. (Yong Seok Min, Do Jae Hak and after that Ahn Chi Hong lines. Most happened in Episode 2)
After finishing the lines, Shin PD revealed that he wanted him to play as ACH. Shin PD explained a little bit about ACH. ACH will have a kind of love line, he has a crush with Professor named Song Hwa. His character has a warm-like crush and a calm and cool development at the same time. ACH will only appear in season 1. (T_T) Shin PD explained since ACH won't continue appear in other season so he doesn't want to burden KJH with a goal for seasonal drama. He wish KJH can act well and will have a cool exist. But then during their meeting KJH keep laughing and Shin PD felt maybe they need to revise a bit about his character. KJH laughed hard at this comment. 
Shin PD added that acting as Ahn Chi Hong can help his career too when they compare it to his current filmography. He can also show that he's quite a good actor. They will meet soon after some period of thinking.
Before ending their meeting, Shin PD asked about his ability to play drum. (KJH is a former drummer of band izi). Shin PD said if he did join, maybe he can give some pointers (to YYS). We're shown that KJH is having fun at SHyeong basement room where the band instruments is set. He's awkward at first since it's been a while since he played the drum, but he showed his skills that made everyone watching praised him (including YYS and YYS's drummer teacher. YYS requested him to show a solo drum performance)

Aug 29 2019, second meeting with Kim Jun Han
They have confirmed his casting through phone before the 2nd meeting. Shin PD wants him to play Ahn Chi Hong because they need an impact (?) for that character. Shin also wanted KJH to play a normal character for once. Shin PD introduced ACH background. ACH comes from military academy and reached a captain position. He doesn't have to act really stiff but he can show it a little from his way of speaking but also soft at the same time. KJH finally get his script as ACH. Shin PD said that he will succeed when there's a comment that he's quite good.

At that time, they're currently waiting for the premiere of film Beasts CLawing at Straws, and Shin PD asked about his character in there (he played as an antagonist). That film will be the 3rd project he did with Shin Hyun Been. Shin PD asked if he knew Jeon Mi Do and KJH said he didn't really know him. Other than Jung Kyung Ho and SHB, he doesn't really know other actors.

At the first script reading (around Sept, if I'm not mistaken)
KJH was sitting between KDM and Choi Young Joon (Dr Bong) and he felt awkward because he doesn't really know them well. He saw that SHB sit near JKH and quite far from his sitting place. He moved to speak with them and say his greetings to JMD and Jung Moon Sung. 

SHB: What's wrong?
KJH: It's nothing. I just come here because I knew you
SHB: *laughed*
KJH: Can I sit here?
SHB: Sure you can
JKH: Are you sure both of you knew each other?
SHB: Yeah, we're quite close
JKH: Ah really?
KJH: (to JMD) My name is Kim Jun Han
JMD: Yes, I have seen you a lot on TV, while I'm still a rookie (in TV). It's our first time to meet with others like this. How do both of you know each other (question to SHB and KJH)?
SHB&KJH: We have acted in the same movie twice
SHB: But we haven't got any chance to meet each other outside the projects
JMD: You are going to play dr Bong character, right? (to KJH)
KJH: No, dr Ahn. I will play as Ahn Chi Hong

Shin PD said that KJH has the type who won't just act according to what purely written in the scripts, so it will give fresh feelings. Shin PD requested as the scripts is still written, he hoped KJH can design Ahn Chi Hong character well. 

That's how Kim Jun Han became Ahn Chi Hong.

And...

KJH: Our filmin set is famous where the staffs and actors were having good time while filming. And I felt that we've become really close with each others. I also have acted in Prison Playbook and I have worked twice with the same staffs and somehow I think I've become like a family with the staffs? I think I'll miss it a lot.

Q: To Kim Jun Han, Ahn Chi Hong is?
KJH: Ahn Chi Hong is like Bailey (?) I keep wondering what kind of character he is. Whenever I received the script, I keep getting surprised with his character. What is this? Huh? There is this kind of scene? The script is always something that suprised me. 

Q: The most memorable scene?
KJH: I think it is the scene where the it get much love from the viewers, when it's raining at the camping ground and Ahn Chi Hong went to meet with Prof Chae Song Hwa. I have heard a lot (comments) about that scenes. That scenes was filmed where it was supposed to be raining quite heavily. Actually filming that scene was quite hard. We were on tight schedule to film that scene. The sun was setting and we had to really focus to film that scene. And Shin PD did a magic with creating the scene look beautiful in the drama. But when we're shooting that scenes, the staffs commented whether it's a filming for a murderer scene or not. What is the genre for this scene? And then Shin PD said to everyone, 'It's a melodrama everyone, melodrama'. I wonder if there's a making scene for that scenes?

Q: Last one. Anything that you want to say?
KJH: Chi Hong is... Eh why do I talk to Chi Hong by Chi Hong? Uh... dr Ahn Chi Hong won't appear in season 2, but I (Kim Jun Han) will become viewers and will cheer for the drama from the sides. Chi Hong is probably will be somewhere, becoming Chief Resident while also living his life. I'll be grateful if you can cheer for his character like that. And if one day Chi Hong is needed, Chi Hong will always ready. I'll be ready to join whenever I needed so... I feel sad now that I'm leaving. Thank you so much. The 1st book is my favorite. After all with that book I start the journey with Hogwarts 

I both read and watch all books and movies. With the book I can run any kinds of imagination that I have while reading the text inside my head. The movie did help a little and sometimes after finishing the movie I'd feel there's something missing and hoped several scenes inside the book were included in the movies.

It's been so long since I read the books or re-watch the movie. One day when I have no k-drama, I might start to re-read or re-watch the movie. I occasionally still read some fanfictions

@SilverMoonTea not all Slytherin are evil. It just because many bad wizards or witches come from Slytherin that they associated the house as evil. The characteristics that most of Slytherin students would have in common are cunning, resourcefulness, and ambitious.

Too many questions left unanswered and new questions appeared after ep 4. One questions is how Kim Hee Sun doesn't look different and keep staying fabulous no matter she is in 2050, 1992, 2010 or 2020.

I've finally caught up with the first 2 episodes. Glad to see Joo Won's back into the drama land :)

The first two episodes are entertaining. There are many things that made me curious and hooked with the plot. I'm going to put this under my current watching list. 

The 10 mins highlight preview is really intriguing. I laughed hard especially at the scene where Tae Yi and Do Yeon fight over Jin Kyeom at the police station. And did Jin Kyeom use (?) Alice service to travel to the past? Interesting.

April 11 2019 First meeting with Kwak Sun Young
Shin PD admitted that he is her fan, because he saw her on TV advertisements (an energy drink (?) brand Bacchus D). Shin PD asked about her schedule and she did have a project that she's working on (I think she was getting ready for drama VIP, SBS 2019). Despite that, Shin PD wanted to meet with her. Even if he couldn't work with her for now, he wanted to work with her in the next project of his. 
One of the staff asked about her height (in her profile it's written 163 cm) and she honestly say her true height it 160 cm. Shin PD asked if she made up for the 3 cm. KSY explained that she did ask with her management about it, and they say everyone did that (means lie a little about their height for the profile). After all when she wear her shoes, her height will become 163 cm. 
She debuted in 2007 and has been a veteran musical actress for 13 years and only debuted in TV in 2018 (Your Honor, SBS 2018). 
Shin PD asked if she can sing well and she shyly says that she's not that good in singing, but she just did it. She's not someone with amazing singing abilities, but she can do it. Shin PD are amazed but confused. Both KSY and JMD says that they can't sing very well during their interviews with Shin PD. Shin PD brought up if her singing skills isn't as good as Ock Joo Hyun (another musical actress) and she immediately admitted yes!
Shin PD asked about her personality, is she a quiet person? KSY says it's different according to the situation or the environment.
Since KSY schedule and the HP schedule isn't match, the production staffs didn't have any intention for her to do any reading or auditioning, but they want to see her act or hear her tone, so they did a short reading with Song Hwa lines in ep 1 (the very first scene, at SHyeong's basement)
After finishing her reading, Shin PD asked if she's is a bright person (because during their first meeting KSY is being careful and cautious and speaks with a soft voice) or if she is someone who likes to being funny. KSY says yes but she hesitates to show it out (the productions staffs can feel Ik Sun's energy from her)
Closing ments from Shin PD, he says that he might contact her in the future when he feels he has a character that really fits with her

Sept 17 2019, the second meeting with KSY
Shin PD says that he really wanted to work with her after their first meeting, but because their schedule overlapped he couldn't. The reason for their second meeting because Shin PD is having a hard time to find someone to play Lee Ik Sun and he reminded of KSY. Since her character won't show up until episode 3, he hopes they can arrange the schedule that suitable for both parties. The reason why it's hard to find someone or Lee Ik Sun is they're looking for someone who is funny. And during their first meeting, Shin PD got IS feeling from KSY. KSY says that she can play funny character. 
Shin PD then explained about IS character. Their drama is a hospital drama and the story is about the daily life of the people inside the hospital. IS has an older brother and she is similar with her brother. They way the siblings talk are funny, quite smart and they never think whether they are talking too much or not and have no inferioty complex. IS is a cool person who can even leave to overseas when she is in a relationship. 
Before she read IS's lines, Shin PD wants her to try a similar character (Chu Min Ha). KSY is having an awkward time when she's reading the slang words (inssa for an insider, assa for an outsider). It's her first time to say such words but she does know about the meaning. Other than Chu Min Ha, she also read for Bae Jun Hee (the ER fellow) and GY's lines too (?).
Shin PD asks whether she's alright with a short hair cut, and KSY answers she has no problem with it. Shin PD asks if the hair cut suits her and she says she looks handsome with that kind of hair cut.
Shin PD asks if she did any sports. KSY says she did various sports from yoga and pilates. When she was young (when she's in elementary) she also did taekwondo and did have a black belt. She also go to gym and likes to swim. She asks if she has to be an athletic and Shin PD say yes. She won't have lots of action scenes, but she might have to do a high kick or something similar for a short scenes. (We're shown that for IS and JWan scenes at IJ's house, they have to re-take the scenes 18 times before the scenes is approved)

That's how Sun Young becomes Ik Sun.

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes. I don't have lots of knowledge about classical musics, so I really appreciate for those who can explain more about the choices or reasons behind the chosen classical pieces that being played in the drama. :)

Not really fond of the triangle love, but if it can push the two leads to each other, then okay, I think I can bear with it... for now
